LD42 — Running out of space

Anna's Tale by BloodJohn 2018-08-13T16:15:37Z

Really interesting! At first, the choice of music felt a little disjointed, but as I started losing memories, it set the exact right tone.

Dark Forest by Tero Pulkkinen 2018-08-13T13:12:19Z

Interesting visuals, but I felt the level design was a little too aimless for what seems to be an exploration game.

Deposition by dunin 2018-08-14T06:18:49Z

Looks really interesting, unfortunately I was unable to figure out how the controls worked. The up, down, enter and minus (?) keys did not seem to make anything happen when I pressed them, and I don't know if that's a bug or I didn't understand the controls. In any case, I can see there's some really cool ideas here, hope you keep working on it!

Volant Islands by wujood 2018-08-13T15:49:08Z

Really fun and cute, enjoyed it a lot! It would probably make sense to keep the player movement grid-based, as I got stuck between falling tiles or activated unintended tiles by veering a bit off course a couple of times.

Grid Weaver by HacksawUnit 2018-08-13T12:08:24Z

Very glad to see a screenshake toggle in a jam game! Though I couldn't really tell the difference between off and on, the effort is greatly appreciated. Other than that, the game is really cute and fun, and I really enjoyed the sound design.

Crystalmancer by Crowno 2018-08-13T12:43:23Z

Great fun, and looks great as well! Would definitely play a full game like this.

Velocity Square by snarf2000 2018-08-13T11:36:53Z

Really fun! I feel like the movement and physics could use a small bit of tweaking to make them a little less out of control in some parts, but it's already pretty much there, well done!

Leave by SimonTheCase 2018-08-13T12:33:02Z

Really interesting game! I think I had viewport issues despite using the Unity fullscreen button (using Firefox), but the concept shone through.

Lots of fun, laughed out loud at "carrot". If I had one complaint, it's that the camera flash is a *little* too bright and disoriented me a bit, but that's it! Keep up the good work.

Croatan by Colestia 2018-08-13T12:53:20Z

Great job! I like how you used the theme on a thematic level rather than just a mechanical one.

Bee-rilliant Farm by Noxbuds 2018-08-13T12:20:23Z

Truly an amazing amount of content you put it, well done! The space between the initial tutorial and the opening of the shop could just be *slightly* shorter, but seeing as you had to cover a lot of information, it's done really well!

Space To Breathe by kirb 2018-08-13T13:07:45Z

Really fun and atmospheric! The levels are a little too big and empty, which makes them hard to navigate around.

Last Hope by Damain 2018-08-15T20:05:56Z

Hi, just writing to let you know your game isn't downloadable because the file is apparently in your bin. Let me know if that's unintentional, I'll happily play your game!

Zero Grace Megadrive by triplefox 2018-08-13T11:46:37Z

Really cool! It took me a second to get what's going on and the jumping was a bit difficult to get a handle on, but otherwise really fun and stylish!

Over-encumbered by brundolf 2018-08-14T03:12:19Z

Super fun and frantic! If I had one suggestion, it took me a second to realise the bones + stuff = trash meant those items were trash and not that you could eventually craft some sort of mystical trash container (or can you??). But all in all, well done!

Shelf Life by Grawly 2018-08-13T20:30:23Z

Great fun and really impressive amounts of polish!

LD45 — Start with nothing

Stumbling upon meaning in an old town abandoned to its fate by ghust1995 2019-10-10T08:30:02Z

What a beautiful way to tell a sad story. Well done! This is one of my favorites so far.

Sweet Tooth by tweedle 2019-10-09T09:55:48Z

Fun atmosphere! Unfortunately the interactable range of things was a bit hard to judge on the whole. Sometimes doors, candies and ghosts would not trigger when I was right on top of them, and then would trigger when I thought I was out of range. With a little tweaking it'll be great!

A Little Light Above by Roberto Romao 2019-10-08T06:03:19Z

Cool game with a really interesting story! I was missing a little visual feedback in the combat section (maybe a flash or something), because I couldn't immediately tell anything was happening.

The Song of Calirum by Blizary 2019-10-09T07:01:33Z

Really beautiful and masterfully crafted game! The only possible criticism I can make is that the font was very hard to read at my resolution.

Go Thieve by primitive-concept 2019-10-10T12:46:56Z

Really cute game! It has a lot of potential!

Froog by reBTF 2019-10-09T07:39:48Z

I loved it, and not just because frog and toad are friends :frog: You could even introduce some of the advanced elements of the level design (like the floating balloons and moving platforms) a little earlier. Definitely an idea worth expanding.

Stone Fall by MicroChasm 2019-10-08T09:23:15Z

Hi, I couldn't figure out how to move, nothing happened when I pressed the arrow keys (I'm on Firefox). But your game looks very promising! Let me know if I missed something and I'd love to try it again.

Start with "nothing" by sommerlilie 2019-10-09T10:12:45Z

Really awesome and creative take on the theme! Really well done!

Tale of the Toad King by Beebo Studios 2019-10-25T14:44:00Z

I can't believe I didn't check this out until now, beautiful, perfect, I'd pledge allegiance to this king in a heartbeat. The art and writing was wonderful, but I think the game over mechanic where you have to start from the beginning isn't really needed in the current iteration of the game, where the level layout stays the same over repeated tries. I agree with a lot of the comments here that it's difficult to keep up with the text while playing, but I do like the idea of it. Maybe you can even lean into it more to make it really part of the game mechanics in some way? Anyway, keep it up!

Beyond the Veil by Wolfrug 2019-10-10T14:13:54Z

It seemed really interesting, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to get the special skills to work, so I got stuck.

Nix by slagathor 2019-10-09T10:35:38Z

Fun game, though I've withheld scoring on audio because you're using pre-existing song like @jjoeyay pointed out. Great song though.

Blank Page by zuf 2019-10-09T10:19:55Z

I don't think I ever fully understood what was going on, but I had a great time just clicking things and seeing what happens, so a success for us simpler minds as well :D A really cool thing you made there, and my fullest admiration for taking a risk!

The Drainpipe Market by Tom Frikker 2019-10-08T06:11:41Z

Loved it! Big fan of the graphics :D

Letterout by tohubohu 2019-10-09T07:12:34Z

Really cool! I was a little sad the first board effectively forces you to play "nothing", but only because I really wanted to play "thong" xD It works great as a tutorial and is a really fun twist on the theme.

Remembrance by Leblobfishie 2019-10-08T06:19:45Z

Very cute! The movement is a little clunky though. There's a large gap between pressing the key and moving, particularly when going left/right.

I hate this, but in a good way :))))))

Robot Repair Shop Incorporated by been 2020-04-21T13:07:59Z

I loved this! The idea to restrict dexterity with the alphabet keys was really great. Also fantastic job on the audio.

Death Trap II: Revenge of the Walls by schmavery 2020-04-21T08:30:52Z

This was really fun and clever, great job! I especially liked the little * :joy:

Adrestia: Sublime Balance by ldd 2020-04-21T04:20:18Z

Really cool game! I was missing a reset button though, for being able to end inifinte battles.

Mumei by Abid 2020-04-21T12:51:33Z

I didn't get very far, but it was fun! Not sure how intended it was to ride around on the big mecha and push the enemies off a cliff with it, but that's what I did and it was great.

Bubbles Saves Grandma by Caladrius 2020-04-21T13:33:39Z

Really cute! I think it might have been easier to use if collision didn't remove all the momentum from Bubbles.
