@dusho Thank you for reminding,I modified it
Nice graphics! Really like the style. The little dogs remind me of being a kid in the 90's!
A really robust and solid entry about controlling a robot with looping commands. The puzzles are well designed and all the sounds, music, and visuals fit together nicely. My small criticism is that if you retry a level, your previous attempt's commands get cleared up. I wish I could just fix my "bug in the code" without needing to rebuild it all again. Good entry, well done!
Nice game, would be good if you could look around the map before playing and as @diego-escalante said, to be able to edit your code or move the commands around rather than starting from scratch if you get it wrong. Good fun :)
Nice game, good puzzles design! Very solid entry!
I like the graphics! Music is fine, reminds me sound from old consoles, but it gets repetitive over time. I liked that you painted floor tiles differently on the level 3, so that player could see the pattern easily. That is nice idea! However, level 6 could use a bit more guided level design approach. I was lost in these open fields and couldn't beat it :) But it's a compo antry, I feel like we shouldn't judje level design here. Overall, nice idea and good implementation!
Losing my command list when I reset is really annoying :(. It would be nice to have a way to increase the speed, especially on the couple levels that seem to only have a *really* slow solution (level... 8 maybe?). It seems that 3 different levels all had the same solution (fighting levels), which was kind of boring, but I guess you ran out of time to make levels =). Audio and graphics fit the game nicely.
@jimbly Yes I had some other ideas, such as portal and ice,but no time to do the level design and implement.Thank you for The suggestion about game reset,I will modify it,there are more than one person have suggested on this:)
Really great puzzle game idea. Like a few others have commented, I also think this could benefit from preserving the commands when you retry a level. Also, I feel this game is at its strongest when the levels are slightly tighter - the very open level I encountered ended up being a case of trial and error, rather than trying to think through the puzzle. But overall, I think with a couple of days more polish, I think this could be a rock-solid puzzle game, with a lot of opportunities for interesting puzzle design based on the core mechanic.
I think the music really hurt the experience. It was a bit sharp, and came in and out at times. I think the instruments were a bit too strong on the treble side, you should try and master game music to have a balance of bass and melody. Maybe a few more variations of the loop would also help it not feel so repetitive. About the game mechanics - something about them felt like a cookie cutter pattern match. Usually these programming games have something that's more motivating and rewarding than just reaching a flag. I think the puzzles themselves were good for the genre. I think I got up to level 8. Maybe there are more cool mechanics after that? Either way, it was fun for a bit, thank you for the game.
This games gives me a GYROMITE vibes with this music and art.
Great puzzle game with nice progression of mechanics. Music didn't bother me personally felt it fit with the game, obviously could use a bit more variation but its a Compo game. I'd agree about the reset being annoying losing all your commands. Otherwise quite fun to play through.
The music was fine but I wish it played while the loops was running, or have a different part. The swap between no sound effects and music to sound effects and no music was a bit jarring, and really took away from the experience. Overall fun game, the challenges were cool!
