nice game you got there, the graphics in your game are always good. some of those pickup locations were nicely placed so that you would get hit by the ghost, or fall :D

@jcmonkey Thanks for playing dude!
Great work. Love the art style and the game fits the theme well. Good job! :)
Thanks so much @drunkardwolf !
Lovely art style and an impressive amount of polish considering the short time scale! :)
There some beautiful details in there. Great art work. Really makes a simple runner very enjoyable.
Nicely done.
Love the art, control is smooth, and i love the idea of picking up the coins/balls to keep the smoke away
I love the art style and the way the game manages to take on the theme. Great job! :heart:
I enjoyed this! I think you should mention in the controls you can double jump - I didn't realise for a bit at the start this was possible. Also I liked how you put the theme of running out of space in :). Good work overall.
Great art and fun game, it was nice to follow the development :)
I like the concept and solid application of the theme. Nice unique mechanics that take this to a different level than just an everyday, ordinary runner. Art is world class, as always. Still don't know how you freaking do this great of work in just a few short days!!
The pixel art and music was great, the overall game was pretty fun too!
@kaboosh @jschow @mitsu-artemius @sir-abe @stephano @earnso @hakro @connorthompson I'm late :) but thank you guys for the feedback! I def need to add the double jump indication for the future. Thanks again though!
Cute graphics! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/VOykmSuQEhg
@jupiter-hadley Awesome, thanks so much for playing! I enjoyed the video and subbed, looking forward to more :)
Nice graphics
@velvetlobster Thanks!
Background artwork is very good!
Thank you @mrerdalural :)
Great game! I love the art style and music. It gets pretty intense and I love it!
Thanks for playing @masterclavat !
Very cool yet simple game! I like how you combined two jam themes in it as well haha. Art is awesome as always, really digging the parallaxing trees in the background on the easy level. The different levels are cool too. The only thing I might add would be like a score. To see if I'm doing better then the last round. Great job!
nice graphics, but it don't see how it fits the theme. But you finisehed your game, well done :)
@mowztouch Thanks for playing! I should have made it more obvious but the longer you go the narrower the screen gets, and the collectables push the margins back. Thanks again though!
Good game, I loved the art and I liked that the different difficulties had different backgrounds. You had to get far in the run to really see that the smoke was creeping in to show that you were running out of space. The simple controls were nice and I think it would make a good game on mobile.
Your game entry for LD 32? :D (it says that in the description) Well done. Not sure if on porpuse, but the ghost feeling that your game had could have been stronger. The music felt a bit spooky and the sfx too, but not quite enough. I like how you incorporated the theme, good shit.
Oh and I almost forgot, the jump beeing more forward than upwards, and landing stopping you for a bit is so good!
@nickthesic Thanks so much for playing! Yeah, I think the running out of space may be too slow in hind-sight. I think my plan is to spruce it up and do a mobile release though. Thanks again for the feedback!
@bluemirror Good catch, I updated the description. I was pretty tired when I wrote it :) Great to hear about the jumping/landing. I thought it felt good but you never know until others play it. Thanks for the feedback!
What a fun little game!! Love the character, and the interpretation of the theme! Plus it's nice having options for difficulty levels too. Great job!
Fun and pretty game! Really good polish for such a small development period. Good luck with the future mobile release :)
Ghosh I made a platformer too and didnt handle this very well but you did it amazingly in your game: JUMPING. Jumping in platformer is what you do 90% of the time and you make it look very satisfying, very light and responsive yet it feels like it has some weight to it. I wonder how did you create that kind of movement though, adding speed when leaving off of the ground and slowing down on the air I mean, I really have no idea how to do that. That said, great great work, very solid entry!
The art is awesome as always and I loved the parallax backgrounds. The jumping was very good, I liked how it pushed forward instead of just jumping up. It would have been good if you included the ability to double jump in the instructions. The level design was great, everything was placed perfectly to give a challenging game. I noticed a bug where if you get stuck behind a box you get teleported to the other side of the screen. Overall, great game!
I enjoyed it.
I liked it. A bit frustrating at first but then it got a bit easier... but not much. GJ!
I think you've got some framerate dependent logic. I'm running at 165hz and the black screen comes in wayyy to quickly and there aren't enough orbs to counteract it even if you get every single one. I switched my output to 60hz and it seemed more normal.
@florapixels @jaydek @nam-nguyen @akai-0okami @raccoon-js @eric-smith @jamison Thanks so much for playing, and thanks for the feedback! I did notice the 'box bug' too well after submitting while watching someone else play so I'll have to tweak that for sure. I was not aware of the framerate issue so that's really good to know and appreciate you calling that out. I'm so glad the controls were well taken as well. I spent quite a bit of time tweaking and making sure the character self-corrects so she doesn't get pushed off the screen by friction. Thanks again all!
