Nice work! The vegetable combos are really fun to mix together and see what works best in which spots. The art is pleasing and the gameplay is very straightforward but has a good amount of depth!

Cool game. I like how the plants interact with each other, would definitely play interesting on a bigger map.
Love it!
Nice art and fun variety of flowers/plants. Easy to get the hang of.
I earned the title GOBLIN SLAYER and protected the village  Thank you Danny!
This has potential to be really good. I have to be honest though and say that some of it gets wasted by the level design. Your main "attack"-plant is the sunflower which shoots horizontally. That leaves the bottom row as the best row to plant them. If the enemy path were more irratic it would open up many more strategic decisions!
Or if you really want to move forward with the idea: make the enemies use pathfinding to navigate on a grid on which you place the flowers (yeah no time for this in a jam).
But anyway the concept is great! I also like the asset choice - works nicely with the idea.
I really like the artwork. Wish the audio would have worked in html too.
Its a cool game, and very fun. I feel like there could be some more cool and radical mechanics to spice up the gameplay.
good job on the game! really nice pixel art - gameplay feedback fromme would be that i got sunflowers much to late to have a hope of stopping all the incoming invaders i know its inevitable to lose but it feels like i could have got more firepower early on to help.
really satisfying audio too thanks for the game!
Fun game, the art and music make it really engaging. There was a strategic element to the placement of the vegetables and it was easy to get into a rhythm with it. Great work!
Very pretty, great pixel art! I waited hard for the sunflower because the vegetable that stopped moving was revived by the sunflower! lol
Very addictive, I've spent more time in this game than in any other LD50 game so far!
Great work! I love the pixel art and concept. However, I think there might be some bugs with some of the plants. Some seemed to do nothing despite their descriptions. Very cool concept for a tower defense like game.
Wow! Really good game there! Spent half an hour playing it. Looks so cute and cozy and the gameplay is very captivating. Thanks for your submission and wish you all the luck!🥕🥦🥔
What a fun concept! The sprites are very cute, and I played for a lot longer than I expected to. My only problem was that it seemed like some of the plants were inactive and weren't doing anything. Cool tower defense game though!
Good fun! Seemed to get a lot of lag towards the end but it satisfied my gardening needs!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my stream!

Nice job!
The art and audio chosen are great. The gameplay is fun and hectic, but I had a lot of trouble understanding some of the mechanics or what plants actually did at first. Also I saw nothing to remind me if I forgot or clicked to fast?
Thanks for the game!
The pixel art on this game is simplistic and well-drawn! The gameplay is really easy to follow! Each of the plants have their own unique abilities, though I wish they could have been spelled out a bit more in detail. This leads me to my next critique regarding the UI: the font face is easy to read, but when getting out a random plant, the font gets sandwiched together. The explanations on each of the plants' mechanics could have also been better explained, namely the pumpkin.
Aside from those hiccups, the graphics on this entry is well-polished! Great job!
@boaromayox thanks for the feedback. UI and explanation was all thrown together very late as I forgot about a tutorial 😅
Ah, yes, the classic Monsters vs Vegetables. ;)
It's a pretty solid tower defense game. The controls work fine, the mechanics are pretty easily understood, the artstyle and music are pleasant to the eye and ear.
One "bug" I found - when a plant expired, its timer refilled to full value and the plant kept shooting for good 5-6 seconds before disappearing.
Right now, the gameplay is the same throughout the entire game - run to get a new plant, plant it in a free spot, run to get the next one. The big plant variety mitigates this a bit, but it would be great to give the player a bit more options. I thought it would be nice to give the player something like a watering can, which could be used to fill up the bars of already planted turrets. That way the player would have to make tactical decision, whether to keep their currently active turrets alive for a longer time, or to go and plant some new ones.
Overall, a really nice jam game. Well done!
