Great Game! Simple and clear. Although I could still see the logs when it was "completely" dark, so I could explore without having to light a new fire. Also since only the central fire counts, I would like to have seen some connection between it and the secondary fires(for instance a speed boost or something), since now you have to keep coming back to the same central location, without you gaining any real benefit (in terms of movement speed for example) it gets impossible over time. But, overal, a nice little game
Really cozy game, I liked the lighting and the way you were able to add to it yourself as the player. It made the interaction you have feel meaningful. Some more incentive to explore (outside the need to keep the fire alive) would have been cool, even something as simple like a little more variety in art could have helped with this. Good work! :D

@jelle-vermandere The darkness was a bit tricky to balance, I still don't think I understand the "color modulate" effects that create that, with a bit more work it might be easier to balance the shadow brightness. Part of me wants it to be ultimately impossible, butI do like your suggestion of enhancing/changing the gameplay over time (e.g. speed). Thanks!
@fakefrogsonly Thanks for the feedback! I agree about lacking incentives to explore, I added a few ruins at the end but didn't have time to really add to the world.

A really atmospheric game, superb ambience. The ruins around the temple seem very mysterious when theres so little light around. Something to do outside the temple would have been cool. Very nice entry overall!

Nice shadows! Audio seems to only run once on web version, but gives a nice spooky atmospehere.
The way you've used the lighting here is brilliant - it looks fantastic, it works well as a mechanic and it makes a wonderful atmosphere. I feel like I was cheating a little bit because I could make out the logs in the dark areas, but still - great game
Nice Game, I especial appreciate the Linux version. However to me it seems like placing torches is more a waste of fuel than helping me see. Making the screen completely black would probably help. I enjoyed the dynamic lighting, it really helped with the atmosphere.
I love the atmosphere and the creepy sound effects. Overall fits the theme great.

Nice game! I really like the music at the beginning and the lighting!
Wow! Even with no music and poor graphics, I am blown away by the atmosphere this game has.

Hi! Great concept. I found that light source placement could have been good for knowing how to get back. I wish there was a greater goal to this game, and that I knew WHEN the light would expire while I was away to prevent me from straying too far. Pretty nice graphics!

Really pretty game considering the simplicity. the fact that there is no run button is both infuriating and a good mechanic in equal measure. nice game.

Really like this game! it's got a really nice atmosphere that almost feels a bit dark souls-y, with the keeping the last flame stuff alive.
The 2d lighting is really nice!

Wow, pretty nice wall effect. Looks really deep atmospheric game. Pretty hard to get over 54 seconds, that was always my limit.

Survivied for 3.4787 years! nice! The graphics were really nice, but lacked some gameplay to make it interesting. Overall good job for 48 hours!
The lighting was kinda cool, but it felt kinda slow to play.
Loved it! Great atmosphere and amazing lighting, well done!
Great job. I also liked the lighting affect. Maybe when its completely dark the logs could disappear from being seen but you can still see to get back to the fire. I liked how the fire sound got louder the more wood you put in.
Cool game! I wish there was a little more to do, and as others have mentioned the distance you need to go makes running back and forth a bit tedious due to how slow you move. Great concept, and congrats on finishing a game.
