DreamThorn, are you using a 32 bit system? I haven't got one to test with but that may have been the problem. I've uploaded a new binary that should fix the problem if so.
egos, if you can't finish then it's probably one of the colours right in the middle. The little ones in the top and bottom triangle always catch me out too!
jerombd, thanks, it took me ages to work out the sounds so I'm glad you like it :) For such a simple game it's hard to explain the gameplay, but I'll try putting a better explanation in the description.
Doesn't work for me, window is just filled grey and doesn't seem to respond to any input.
I think there's a bug with starting a new game after you've already played one. It counts down to 0 and just stays there.
Nice idea, I got 151 points :)
Very promising mechanic idea, would be nice to see a working version!
Possibly a bug; I killed one of them then died, then when I restarted it was still dead
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I agree that music would have been a very nice addition, unfortunately I'm not very good at audio :( Right eye winking was on my to-do list but I ran out of time sorry. The cubes only move when they can see you, so usually if there's one you can't find it'll stay put (but it may be moving around behind your back).
Very nice graphics and it creates a good atmosphere. It makes me feel like I want to know more about who he is and what he's doing there.
I completed the first level then instantly died and I think it crashed. Other than the small bugs it was good fun, and the walking animation is hilarious!
Nice idea! Maybe some obstacles or something in the play area would make it a bit more interesting
Nice idea and good variety of weapons! The controls felt a little unwieldy though, particularly when using the typedead.
Nice little game, really infuriating! I felt like a proper acrobat when I managed to do the last level :D
Nice audio and graphics! I couldn't get the movement controls to work unless I made the game fullscreen (both firefox and chrome on Windows 8)
Very interesting idea, I almost hope you've got recordings of everyone who's played this so you can hear how confused they sound xD
Interesting mix of genres! Is something supposed to happen when you remove all the balls around the enemy ship? I expected the game or to get a new round or something.
Is there any way to win a fight once you've lost an exchange? It feels like if you choose the correct response, you just say back the last insult and then they say the counter.
I get an error when I click on certain kittens: http://pastebin.com/7cKSdUY0
Other than that I like it! Trying to keep control of an army of kittens while not upsetting a baby is not a sentence I ever thought I'd write
Really nice concept! I'd like to see a version with the other features you suggested (and a bit less buggy)
Nice idea! I think chrras is right that it'd be nice if it were a bit easier, or eased you into it a bit more, but good concept :)
Very nice idea! There was a bug where sometimes people would walk onto blank squares but I don't think it broke any levels :)
Very good for a game made in an hour!
Very addictive game, and also infuriating! I spent far too long trying to reach the end but didn't quite manage it, if only the sweets gave a little bit more sugar ;)
Looks really promising but I couldn't find how to proceed after finding the snorkle, crowbar, and shovel. What are you supposed to do next?
Liked the story, and it was so worth waiting to the end of the credits! Sometimes I found the battleship very hard to move through tight spots, maybe the hitbox was larger than the graphics?
Really funny game! My highscore was 1787
Is there anything beyond level 2? Don't think I'm getting it at all >.<
I really liked the AI, reminded me of Stanley Parable. The gameplay seemed fun but I think I ran into the RAM bug.
Nice game, I love the premise! Also, if you edit your game again you can set which categories you want to opt out of.
@heinrix Thanks for the feedback, I like the idea of an 'invert controls' option!
Congrats on finishing your first Ludum Dare! Looks like you've already got some good feedback, I think for me faster moving bullets would've made the biggest difference
I really like this, simple idea but works well and quite challenging!
There were a few things I think were bugs, I'm running Firefox 75.0 on Win10: - Try again button broken - Game doesn't end when rain puts fire out - Says I froze to death even if fire is still alight at morning
I like that there's no limit to the number of rockets you can fire, was fun to fire off a bunch and see the destruction a few seconds later. Maybe consider reducing the number of cubes that need to get through for you to lose, I got bored before I actually lost the game. Good job overall!
Great game idea, felt really polished! I'd like the game to get harder over time and place more emphasis on stability, perhaps limit the rate at which you can get new tiles. Overall really good job though!
Nice game! I'd like to be able to hold down mouse 1 to shoot continuously, but otherwise the controls were really solid.
Good game! It all worked well and the visuals were charming. Maybe 10 nights was a little too long, but overall I really liked it.
I made it to age 27. Instructions were a bit confusing but I think I worked it out. Good job!
Nice game, I liked the jumping movement mechanic. I found I could survive by just jumping and slamming repeatedly right next to the tree, maybe a cooldown timer for the abilities would make it more challenging.
This is so good! I didn't manage to get to 600 charge but still thoroughly enjoyed it
Interesting idea and there's some potential there. I found the controls really hard to get used to, but maybe that's just me.
Interesting mechanic, I like the idea. I think the comments others have made about the difficulty curve are spot on, but it's still quite fun.
The walking animation is great :D Is there any end to the game other than the fire going out? I kept feeding it wood but got bored after a while
Loving the graphics and level design! It felt like I was coming up with solutions myself instead of just following predefined steps which is a sign of great design. Some audio would really take this to the next level.
Nice puzzle mechanics, easy to understand but quite hard to master!
Nice little exploration game, I managed to win but wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a way for me to find the portal. By the way diagonal movement is faster, might want to normalize that vector!
This game is amazing! Everything about it is so well realised, well done
The game mechanics are great, I loved it!
Really nice entry! Solid gameplay, interesting mechanics, and funny as well.
It's a good little maze game. I loved the sound effect for picking up more fuel :D
Nice concept, and I really like the music. It made me feel ok with the fact the queen was slowly dying and there wasn't much I could do about it.
Great use of the theme and a nice original game idea! I like that your followers gathering around you restricts your movements, adds a bit of extra challenge.
Nice idea and really well made game! I'm just sad I couldn't find any butter to finish my last recipe
This is a great concept, love it! Some audio would've been nice, but this is really strong regardless
Nice concept, just wish I could get the dog to kick the smoking habit :D
Congrats on finishing your first game! It's a shame you had to cut it short, I would have liked to play more :)
I liked where this was going, but couldn't get very far due to the jumping problem. Could you fix it? I'd like to play all the way through
Great puzzle design, fun mechanics, cute graphics, just amazing! Only thing I can think of that would improve it would be some music. Very impressed with how polished it is too :D
Shows a lot of promise! I enjoyed the level that was there :)
Very funny, and loved the hand drawn artwork! You should be a professional voice actor
Thanks for the feedback everyone! I think I could've explained the tail controls better - clicking will make the tip move towards your mouse, but you need to swing back and forth to build momentum to hit the higher flies
Neat idea and great execution! I got a bit confused that you explode when you win a level, but didn't stop me from enjoying it :D
I love how the concept is so simple but it adds up to a really fun game! Particularly liked the different objectives for each level :D One thing I noticed is that you seem to move faster diagonally, not sure if that was a bug or a feature, but didn't detract from the fun!
Got to the point where I couldn't hammer buttons fast enough to kill the monsters :joy: Would be nice to have a way to close your eyes early if there aren't any monsters
Fun little game, and the music is perfection!
Good solid game, I liked the graphics and music!
Took me a while to realise I couldn't hold down left and right, but was fun once I got the hang of it! The artwork is great :D
And I thought QWOP was hard :joy: Lovely graphics and great choice of music!
Very good for 10 hours! Would be nice to have a second or two to get used to it when restarting, but then the difficulty is also what makes it special
Loved the slow motion when jumping! One time I had an orb on the other side of the wall, but it meant I got to see some funny wall running animation :D
Very funny! Took me far too long to notice what Tixerb means  Some music would be nice, and maybe a way to break up the fights if you get to them in time
I like the simplicity of the concept, and how difficult it gets! Sometimes I had to make multiple connections to the same port which I think was impossible, but was fun nonetheless :)
Amazingly chaotic, love the take on the theme(s)!
Audio is brilliant :D Could do with slightly longer to get my bearings when the game restarts
Loved the art style and sound effects!
Amazingly original idea! I'd like to be able to hold down space as my thumb got a bit tired, but I absolutely loved the concept :D
Solid concept and nice execution, I particularly liked the graphics!
