LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Tiny Miner by Maxw3ll 2014-12-11T00:46:00

Encountered a NoMethodError in FixNum, while running the animalless version. Other than that, marvellous.

LD38 — A Small World

Mimosa Fizz by khaotom 2017-05-01T20:13:27Z

Interesting concept. The geometry was confusing, and the lack of landmarks made it difficult to find the starting room once I'd found an instrument. It would have been useful to be given an idea of what the instruments looked like; I might've spent more time than I'd like to admit trying to grab the skybox. On the plus side, the mouse/keyboard controls are intuitive.

The text scroll at the beginning manages to be both too slow and too quick; the entire text takes a while to appear, and then disappears almost immediately. Also, the perspective on the blocks is weird:

It feels like there should be a connecting path from any perspective, no?

Gangster Duell by NORRIMO 2017-05-04T10:44:39Z

The art is pretty, and the little of the game there is works well. I worry that the core mechanic doesn't have enough to it to support a longer game; there's not much further one can go with "shoot faster than the other guy" (please prove me wrong).

Surface Tension by mahalis 2017-05-17T09:04:24Z

The framerate tanked on my laptop, and possibly as a result the game often wouldn't register my clicks.

Echo Lands by tijmentio 2017-05-17T09:21:39Z

I was fighting a skeleton and the game crashed with:

Moon Eat Moon by brandann 2017-05-05T17:30:40Z

The keyboard controls make it a little difficult to catch the tiny planets at the beginning of a level. The chatterbox in the bottom right is a nice touch, but when the moon gets large enough, the messages start to flash by so fast that they can't be read. Other than that, this is very solid!

Warpy's World by Nilanjan 2017-05-02T14:31:52Z

It wasn't intuitive that you needed to hold down shift and move to position the clone. Also (and I don't know if this is a bug that has been fixed in the post-jam version) the clone doesn't wrap around on the edges of the screen, making it tricky to get the spacing between the two right. It also wasn't clear when the hearts damage you and when they don't. Sometimes dropping on them from above made them disappear (although, having since read your description, this might have been because Warpy and his clone were positioned on top of each other).

Mouse Escape by Koen Bresters 2017-05-01T19:02:34Z

It wasn't obvious that you needed to right click *on* other cursors to switch to them, and without the hint from EndlessPlumber about exploring, I'd never have worked out how to free the other cursors. That said, the idea is certainly sound. Perhaps there could have been a unique way to free each cursor, related to each's unique ability?

Song of Fungus by DGSpitzer 2017-05-04T10:18:52Z

This is an absolutely stunning game. I got stuck for a good while on 1-11, but after that I think the difficulty curve dropped off ever-so-slightly. Also, in the later stages of a level, it feels like it doesn't really matter where you start the spore wave, since at that point all of your mushrooms are connected. Perhaps if the spore wave had a shorter range than your click, it'd still matter tactically where in your mass of blue mushrooms you start the wave.

The frame rate **tanked** on my laptop though, which was strange because this doesn't look like a particularly demanding game. Turning the quality down turned the little range ring into blue smudge that made it difficult to see what was going on. What's going on under the hood graphically?

Sticky Keys by thevaber 2017-05-01T19:24:44Z

I like that you can change the key layout to DVORAK/AZERTY/MORTY, but this doesn't help when it comes to punctuation! I spent at least a minute trying to remember where the apostrophe is on a US keyboard; it didn't help that the apostrophe key was missing from the virtual board at the time. It would also be nice to have an option for an ISO keyboard layout as well as ANSI, but I can understand the greater technical challenge involved there  Aside from that, this is truly lovely. The choice of text to copy is particularly nice.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep "IT" Alive by RoboDoig 2020-04-21T20:41:05Z

At first I didn't realise that you could replace letters, which made the game very difficult indeed. Once I figured out the rules, pretty good!

Soulless by Shikto 2020-04-21T20:29:47Z

It wasn't clear to me how to water the tree - standing next to it did not seem to do anything, neither did clicking on it.
