LD35 — Shapeshift

windowframe by managore 2016-05-04T21:27:00

Fantastic mechanics, really great idea!

Sluggy's Tiny Adventure by FrankieSmileShow 2016-04-18T20:25:00

Great game, really impressive what you managed to do in 48h!

Rude Bear Requiem by Alex Rose 2016-05-04T20:35:00

Really nice but also pretty dark game :D

Xenosphere by oxysoft 2016-05-04T23:09:00

Nice concept and cool graphics!

Bortman by Rscar 2016-04-18T09:29:00

Great game, arrow sounds are a bit annoying, but really fun to play!

CubeShift by JangoBrick 2016-04-18T09:37:00

Love the game, nice puzzles, cool music.
I hope you add some more levels and stuff in the future!

Evolution Dungeon by merrak 2016-04-18T06:35:00

I liked the music and the idea with 3 "heros" instead of one.
It is a bit dark and small, so sometimes hard to see anything. Also it would be nice if you can see which of the two DNA is yours.

The game does not work in Firefox, but Chrome is ok.

L.I.G.H.T. by Flygamer101 2016-04-18T20:16:00

Fantastic game, reallly love the different forms and how you can use them. The enemies seem to be buggy unfortunately and love to walk through walls :D

Transmopig by CodeCast 2016-04-18T07:06:00

Really cool game, sometimes the shapeshifting does not work though and you can't finish the level

Perception by Romixal 2016-05-08T19:13:00

Really cool idea and game!

A magical shapeshift by Berserker_Chris 2016-04-18T07:53:00

Nice game, but really annoying you couldn't skip the cutscene at the beginning, if you die a lot like me :D

Blue Moon by Mark Smith 2016-04-18T20:07:00

I love the graphics and the music, and the use of shape shifting is cool :)

You're a Floor Lamp Now by blinry 2016-05-04T21:36:00

Cool idea and really fun to play. Nice job!

Party at the Knightclub by Elisée and friends 2016-05-04T23:01:00

Beautiful and funny game, really well done!

Shape Escape by JoeManaco 2016-05-04T22:52:00

Really nice game! Ran into a black screen eventually after restating the level and stopped playing :S

Dr. Deckenstein: An Adventure in Severed Parts by quill18 2016-04-18T19:33:00

Really nice game. Was too easy when I got two epic cards, Trolls Blood and the Chameleon one. Clone the first one with second one = infinite endurance = gg

Shapeshift by hildegarbage 2016-04-18T07:01:00

Cool idea, but the scaling of the blocks is sometimes a bit sketchy. Also a popup or something when you reach the last exit would have been nice.

Do Robots Dream About Yoga? by MementoGames 2016-05-04T23:20:00

Really fun game! Love the theme of it :)

LD36 — Ancient Technology

City of Ancient Events by MC_Crash 2016-08-29T20:56:00

This game is fun :) I did not manage to find any synergies between cards, maybe they are just not highlighted though... Also, at some point my game got bugged, where it thought I was in card placing mode, while I was not. I could not play any more cards after that :( The mechanic of balancing the three currencies is really cool though, and I would love to play a more polished version of this game :)

The Legacy of the Pharao by BossHunters 2016-08-30T19:30:00

The mechanic of the game is really cool and has potential. However, the placement of the mirrors is buggy, sometime they will be placed on top of each other. Sometimes, they will reflect the light not in a 90° angle, but some other random angle. I think the third level is not even solvable, I could not find the crystal anywhere.
I think it would be good, if you restricted the placment of the mirrors on some sort of grid. Then some issues with the placment would be solved. Also, maybe you could show where the crystal is at the beginning of a level, so that I don't have to run around and look for it first.
Also, sometimes after you get hit by light I think, the mummy moves slightly into that direction, until you move one of the big urns.
The graphics look really nice. But the torches could use some animations and the walking animation only seems to work, if you move vertically.
Overall, a nice game with a cool mechanic. With some more polish, it has the potential to be a great puzzle game :)

Spectacular Stride Machine by Garfeild 2016-08-29T20:45:00

While I suck a playing this game (multitasking is not my strong point), I really enjoyed it!
The whole feeling, the art style, the music and game play are just fantastic. The stride machine looks hilarious. Very fun game, good job chaps :D

"Ancient" and Ancient by Jadernak 2016-08-29T22:23:00

This game really looks gorgous :) The gameplay is also nice with a strategic element. I think this has the potential to be extended into a full-fledged game with multiple encounters and a story. Fantastic work on that one!

Egypt Saves The World by RafaCP 2016-08-29T15:48:00

I love the cat projectiles :D And the cat lady too :D
It gets boring quickly though, as all Space Invaders clones I guess :/ The music is nice as well.

Golems! by maffydub 2016-08-29T14:46:00

The idea of the game is really cool. For me it was pretty buggy though, as my golems would get stuck at weird angles on on the walls. I have the feeling that you dont really turn in 90 degree angles most of the time. I still won somehow, but it felt pretty glitchy. I think with better controls (keyboard WASD + 1,2,3 for golems maybe?) and less bugs this could be really cool. The golems do look cool and you even have some bump mapping going on, so props for that :D

Ancient Technology by tonynogo 2016-08-30T07:39:00

It was nice figuring out what the individual buttons do. Some of the patterns also look pretty cool. I guess there is no actual goal or image that you have to find. Oh, and in full screen, the mouse position is off, so you have trouble hitting the buttons. Interesting experience overall :)

Pharaoh's Awakening by Reversal Mirror 2016-08-30T20:08:00

Amazing ggraphics and you really capture the atmosphere of an ancient tomb. The torches look really good and add to the immersion. The puzzles are fun to (except for the lever ones maybe). In the forth level (I think) I got really bad FPS drops, so I could not continue playing. Sometimes you get stuck somewhere because of your torch, even though it looks like you should be able to walk there. Oh, and the doors openening dust effect is also beautiful :) Overall, solid and fun game with great graphics. Good job guys!

Cave (man) Story by Culturebosh_games 2016-08-30T21:56:00

Beautiful game with surprisingly complex puzzles. The art style is fantastic and I like the DS reference ;) The music is also catchy and fits well with the theme. The characters and animations are well made, too. Solving puzzles by smashing rocks is definitely fun! :D

The Awakening of the Golem by DragonZBW (SparkLight Games) 2016-08-30T07:21:00

The idea and vibe of the game are cool - what is not to like about being a murderous golem? The controls are a bit strange, it feels more like you are sliding than walking. I also don't like that you get taken out by one stab with a knife. That changes it from a killing spree to a tactical game, which I did not expect after the intro. Killing those heretics does feel pretty good though and the end is also nice. The graphics could use some more polish. My favorite moment is when you pop up in the beginning and all the workers scram in panic :D

Revenge of Tutankhamun by r2d2rigo 2016-08-31T00:25:00

Nice gameplay and cute graphics. Overall a nice feel und a fun challenge. Maybe a slight delay at the beginning of the level would be nice, so that you could prepare a bit better. Sometimes it is easy to cheese the level by sending everyone to thei death with one arrow that you spam. Or by sending them into a loop, from where you can pick them off one by one. Otherwise the speed is crazy and it is super easy to get overrun. Overall, a fun and challenging game :)

Ancient Wind by c4m 2016-08-29T18:50:00

It looks nice, but I could not find the puzzle or not interact with it. Pretty buggy and unfinished, but I like the style. Could have some potential...

No Excavation Needed by PetterBergmar 2016-08-30T07:52:00

Fun little game. I suck a plaforming though, so my time was >300s :/ I love tthe music and the blocky look. The jumping was a bit unusual for me, as you had to pick up momentum before you jump, to get farther, but you could still move while in the air.
I like the meachanic of the buttons for the progression, especially that you climb higher and higher and so the stakes get higher, too. The animations of the emerging buildings were also well done.
Overall, a great game and a fun experience.

Escape The Pyramid ! by Vegevan 2016-08-29T15:35:00

The whole vibe of this game is really good. I like the music, the graphics, the gameplay. It would be nice though if the position of the character was clearer. I have run a lot of times into the abyss, because it looked like my character was still on the ledge. The lighting seems to be buggy sometimes and then the wall appears completely black. That way, I cannot always be sure if it is a wall or the abyss :D Also, some checkpoints would be nice, so that you dont have to redo the whole level, if you slip off near the end.
All in all, a great game, pretty impressive for 48h! I especially like the lighting and the hook mechanic as well as the archeology/adventure vibe.

Roby Robot by lonesurvivor 2016-08-29T18:44:00

Amazing game for 48h! I love the graphics style (smoking steampunk robots FTW). Even though I don't like point-n-click adventures very much, with the hints from the inspect function I managed to solve it. Some of the item combinations are fairly absurd, as one would expect :D I did not experience any of the bugs the other commentators mentioned. Really solid game, I would definitely play it if you want to flesh out that story :)

Log Driver by leuus 2016-08-29T21:05:00

Love the idea and the graphics :) That burly wood cutter is awesome. I managed to glitch some logs out over the top river bank, but completed the level still. The moving between logs can be a bit glitchy too. I did have fun with this game though, nice work :D

The Cave of Wonders by Noval33t 2016-08-30T23:46:00

This game is truely a gem. It has everything: Beautiful graphics, humor, neat puzzles, and memes. I am impressed, what you have acomplished in three days! Hats off to you, good work!

Search Treasure By Amine Tcherak by Amine Tcherak 2016-08-30T07:30:00

I like the theme of the game and the characters look pretty cool. The controls are a bit wonky and I managed to drp out of the level at the bottom right corner, without being able to get back up. Overall, not bad for the first compo game :)

Temple of Anubis by awerar 2016-08-29T21:33:00

Cool game, I like this version of ancient technology :D I got stuck in the first hole in the ground before the wand, and wall jumping didn't work properly. A button to reset the level would be nice. Same goes for checkpoints during the tutorial, so you don't have to go through all the dialog and picking up stuff again, when you mess up. The music fits well with the game and I like the wand powers. Overall, a solid game :)

Aqueducts of Solomon by LoneSpelunker 2016-08-30T22:42:00

One of the best and most polished games I have played so far. Actually pretty challenging, but great fun. The graphics are very pretty and the explainations are fairly clear. I replayed it a couple of times. The RNG is pretty strong in this game and it is not too easy to understand. However, it is an interesting concept. Great job! :)

No Pyramid's Sky by DiegoCTorguet 2016-08-29T15:41:00

The graphics are amazingly precise, a really cool style overall. I don't really like the "jump" mechanic, but that is because I suck at it :D Only thing that is missing is an exit button. I think it would be perfect as a mobile game. The music is also good.

Another Day With Grandpa by hawkinslance 2016-08-30T07:05:00

Very strange game, but a cool idea for the story :D The jumping sometimes doesn't work properly, if you run into the obstacles. Saying alive for five minutes seems pretty impossible to me :| A cool if a bit messy take on the theme :D

Artefact-O 36 by SamuelSousa 2016-08-29T19:01:00

I like how this game messes with your expectations. The killing in the first levels was pretty easy by cheesing the enemies. But I guess that might be part of the game's design. I really enjoyed this game, nice to get something unexpected.
Not sure if I haven't missed some weird hidden secret somewhere :D

Ben'sStories: GreatGrandfather's Story by QwaKlak 2016-08-29T14:38:00

The concept of the game is great. It is hard to see the effect of your actions though. The texts are hard to read and the intro disappeared before I could finish reading it. The graphics are really messy. I think this game has potential, if the player can better see what the impact of their actions is. I would love to see a more polished version of this, that could be really fun! :)

Ancient Island Simulator 2016 by TeslaCools 2016-08-30T08:25:00

Nice concept and cool minimalistic graphics. The resource amount text was bugged for me and showed a floating number one time. Also it does not always fit into the box. It would also be nice, if you could see which tool each person was using. And if you could replace their tools. The fields are sometime created in the water. Otherwise it#s a fun little game. Now all it needs is a couple more different tools, resources and progression to be a full grown game :D Nice work!

Starwalker by svyatozar 2016-08-29T21:09:00

Not sure if I got the version with the improved controls, but I still didn't manage to complete the first level :/

Postman simulator 2000 by gurkan96 2016-08-29T09:49:00

Only after the comments i understood you had to drag the letters to the mailbox. It is also easy to get stuck on things :/ I love the sound effects though! And the paint style is also neat :D

Phaust The Weird Cat by Ido_king 2016-08-29T15:03:00

So many dank memes :D Nice game, text was cut off at the top until i resized that part. It would also be nice, if you could click on the option itself, instead of the tiny radio button next to it. Otherwise, not a bad first game ;)

God's Tech by Marta Viader 2016-08-29T20:11:00

Nice simple gameplay. The graphics are the highlight, though. And the music is also pretty sweet. Took me ages to figure out how to use the merge button, the other ones were fairly intuitive.

Grampy Katz in: The Big Date by MeowzaGames 2016-08-30T21:23:00

Absolutely lovely game! A bit short, but the style is really great! Great job :)

Bow Man by zhtroy 2016-08-29T09:18:00

Nice idea, in the later levels it almost becomes a puzzle game :D I like the minimalistic style. The aiming feels a bit slow.

Hunter Gatherer by CptBubbles 2016-08-29T20:31:00

I like the idea of turining the theme into a crafting game. The map is a bit empty though, I almost starved one time until I ran into some bush. The hitboxes of trees are to big, I couldn't harvest the bear next to them until I had cleared the trees in a big radius. Maybe give the bear priority there instead. The graphics are nice and with a bit more crafting options and content in general, this has some potential :)

The Tourist by lekiy 2016-08-29T20:39:00

Nice game, the difficulty is pretty hard though. Enemies or your preojectiles seem to have too big hitboxes, as the projectiles hit them before the graphics do. The characters feed clip through the pillars. Clibing up ladders can be wonky, if you climb into a wall or ceiling, you fall off. And after dying a coupe of times and having to go through the intro againand again, I gave up :/

Taxi No Roman by Nichii 2016-08-30T08:15:00

Cool game, I like the chaotic feel of smashing into things with the carriage. The sound effect fit very well and the music also works nicely for the game. The setting/story is also very creative and is a nice interpretation of the theme. The artstyle is also fantastic (except maybe for the paint cutscenes ;)). Great job guys!

Fix It by Cawrtz 2016-08-30T21:38:00

The idea of goin backstage at a plaformer is genius :D The platforming is solid and the graphics look fantastic. Sound would have been nice, but you covered that with humor instead ;) The puzzles are fun as well. I think the hitbox for the level exits could be a bit bigger, but that is about the only improvement I could think of. Well done, lads!

The Huckster by MrBrenan 2016-08-29T22:10:00

Simple but fun puzzle mechanic. Got stuck on the level with the steam engines, because one of the phantom blocks got stuck over the abyss, when I tried to move it via the moving platform. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to reset the level.
The story of the game is good and I like that you even made some voice acting. Both graphics and music are great, too.
Nice work guys :)

Cryptoglyphics by Bogden 2016-08-29T21:20:00

The crowd sourced glyphs are what really makes this a cool game for me :D I am not a huge fan of hangman style word games, but this little twist saves it ;)

Pyramid Schemist by jonask 2016-08-29T09:08:00

Nice idea and cool art style. I always get confused by games with perspective changes though :D Took me a while to figure out what to do too. It gets challenging after a couple of levels as well. I like it :)

Pyramid Builder by iMer 2016-08-30T08:43:00

I think this is one of the best games I have played this LD. A very simple, but fun mechanic, that is well executed. Simple graphics that still look good and serve their purpose well and crisp sound effects. The building is a lot of fun and not too easy, but possible if you are patient. Also, the interpretation of the theme is hilarious ad very creative. Well done!

SMASH BASH: Sukhov vs Zombies by SMASH BASH 2016-08-30T08:35:00

The graphics are amazing. The gameplay is simple but well executed. The sound effects are also on point. The dialogues area bit confusing sometimes. I don't like that there are so many invisible walls keeping you on the road. The atmosphere is excellent though. Overall, a very impressive game for such a short time.

Left Behind by RockhopperGames 2016-08-29T19:37:00

The atmosphere of this game is brilliant. The idea of swapping between the drones and the simulatnious movement is also a cool idea. For me the inputs were bugged sometimes, so that the drones would not react or with a delay of two seconds. Maybe that is because I used the web version. With some more gameplay, this would definitely make a good game, the athmosphere is already there.

It Started Out With A Brick by peterthehe 2016-08-29T09:43:00

Nice one there :D A bit macabre maybe, but I love it! The piano music also fits beautifully. Not much in terms of gameplay, but entertaining nonetheless.

Lorem Ipsum or Engineering for a Civilized Age by amras0000 2016-08-29T20:21:00

The mechanic of the game is interesting. The controls are a bit wonky, if you press a button down for the fraction of a second too long, you will do a 360 degree turn and crash into yourself. Also, because the map is randomized, you can start in a position, where you are pretty much already screwed, right into a mountain side. However, I love the concept :) And the music is fantastic as well. My game also features aqueducts, but I like your mechanic with them better actually.
PS: A version that is not 200MB without dependencies would be nice ;)

Aqueducts by Lightyear 2016-08-30T21:30:00

Nice concept, I see someone got a similar idea as I did ;) The mechanic is simple but allows nice puzzles, the graphics and sound effects are on point. A solid and fun puzzle game, well done!

Excavation Manager by Tetha 2016-08-31T00:07:00

This is a cice game with an interesting mechanic. The graphics and sounds are nice. It took me a while to figure out, how everything works, but then it was fun :) Nice work!

Sentinel by Ilseroth 2016-08-29T14:56:00

Really impressive for 48 hours! I loved the boss fight mechanic, even though the hitbox seemed a bit buggy sometimes.
Maybe it would be nice if the aim mode ended as soon as you throw. Also, I got stuck on the way to the robot on some invisible wall the first time. Overall, one of the best games I have seen so far, really great work!

The Switch - Worker by Ghen 2016-08-29T21:15:00

Fantastic game, love the whole idea! You really get the feeling of being a telephone operator. I just thought it was a bit too easy overall, but maybe I didn't play enough. The graphics and sound effects are also good :)

Aventures Dans Le Système Solaire by petmonkey 2016-08-29T00:19:00

The art style is really cool. Despite the lack of gameplay, I really liked it :D The mix of 3D and 2D elements is also really well done.

Crazy Catapult by conrad123 2016-08-29T09:23:00

Nice game mechanic. I pretty much always get overrun by the first coupld of pink guys though :/ Maybe the enemies could come a bit slower at the beginning. Also some physics for the rock would be great, so that you could deal some "splash" damage to enemies around the impact. I also like the stylized graphics, they really support the mechanic without too much fuzz.

Crazy Catapult by conrad123 2016-08-29T15:13:00

@conrad123 I guess I was imagining something like the catapults in Kingdom, where the bolder rolls a bit over the floor after it has hit. That clears a bit better and gives a very satisfying experience :D But I also like the cow idea ;)

Sword man by bog13 2016-08-29T20:02:00

The gameplay is nice, maybe a bit too easy with just reflecting everything back. Also, without a french keyboard layout, this game is hardly playable. The fighting itself is awesome though, especially relfecting the bullets :) Also the music and sound effects are really cool!

Hero of Alexandria by Drury 2016-08-30T19:48:00

Cool game! I think killing hoards of romans has never been more satisfying ;) Maybe some sound effects could have made it even better. The minimalistic graphics are ver well made. I especially like how the romans fly everywhere :D The UI displays all the necessary infos at a glance. Really the only thing missing are some sound effects and music, then it would have been perfect. Good work! :)

20000 Pixels Into The Sea by blinry 2016-08-29T21:56:00

Lovely game with neat sailing mechanics. The sailing is pretty realistic, nice job capturing that in a game! The sailing gets a bit boring after some time though, which is why I didn't complete the game :S The cartoony graphics fit very well and the music puts the cherry on top of a great game :)

No Man Has Gone Before by KevKevOnFire 2016-08-30T06:58:00

The atmosphere of this game is really good. It didn't really feel like my actions had any impact though, but maybe I am just a terrible space engineer. Also, the game never seems to end, even if you die, it will continue with everything at 0. Also, when opening the manifest and then clicking on the question mark in the top right, they overlax each other so that you can't read the text. The UI and the text messages are welll designed. All in all, it was a fun short game :)

Oldfag adventure. by Xakkar 2016-08-30T19:11:00

I like the art and the humor of the game. Unfortunately, it is very buggy. I got stuck multiple times so that I could not move anywhere. When you walk while interacting with a building you will continue walking, while the dialog is open. The music get really annoying after a short time. The idea of recreating an old computer is cool, but you are left a bit clueless after the intro, because you don't know what you actually need for it. Overall, a cool idea and a cool theme, but the gameplay really needs fixing.

Bobby Bow by AWOL 2016-08-30T08:02:00

I like the graphics, the spiders look pretty creepy. However, the controls are terrible, even with a controller. Because you always turn left or up, you have to run into the spiders to shoot them. Then they kill you. Some things that could be improved:
1. Fix the aiming, so that you dont have to move to keep your direction
2. Give the player some invulerability after being hit. Right now you can die in half a second from full HP, if you run into a spider directly.
3. Increase the players speed so that you are a bit faster than tthe spiders. That would enable you to kite them a bit.
4. Maybe make it a twin stick shooter?
Also, the title screen game me cancer XD

The Fixer by lordvorath 2016-08-29T19:52:00

Pretty good for 10 hours and the first jam I would say ;)
The maze gets a bit boring after a while, so I only managed to collect 4 of the artifacts. The story is good and the music as well. With some other mechanic (puzzles, fights etc.) this could be an interesting game :)

Artifact Hunter by CMLSC 2016-08-29T15:58:00

I got to 1/12. Nice game, but a bit too hectic for me :D The feeling is nice though, the music is catchy, the sound effect fit well. Maybe an indicator for incoming bombs at the top would be nice. Otherwise getting artifacts near the top can be really dangerous (died two times to a bomb spawning on top of me). Glad you want to continue working on this :)

Cat-O-Pult by Sun-Wukong 2016-08-29T19:30:00

I love this game! The idea and theme are really cool. There a re a couple of minor problems that I encountered:
1. If you fire a cat into the front wall, it takes ages for it to walk back until you can shoot again.
2. I managed to glitch a cat into the floor, by shooting it up really high. That can even let the cat slip though the floor completely, soft-locking the game.
3. On level 5 time a cat climed through a wood ceiling. Not sure if that is a bug or intended though. Used it in level 10 also.
4. On the level after that, a cat landed on a stone pillar, but slid down right through it. This is very much reproducible :(

Completed all levels except level 8, where I finally gave up :/

A very polished game, a lot of fun, nice levels with a steep difficulty curve. Also, amazing graphics. Best thing is the game mechanic with the cats, which I really liked :)

Die Die Die by spacewarp 2016-08-29T14:26:00

Great game. A bit complicated to understand, especially with the bonuses I have no idea how they work. And it feels like you can just find a good configuration and just roll with it for every year. The dice roll animations are really amazingly done, great work :)

Aqueductus by wheerd 2016-08-29T19:41:00

@RafaCP that was definitely not intended, but I didn't manage to fix it in time :/ I would have to overhaul the whole water distribution system. I intended it to be flow based originally, i.e. that a well would need something like 5litres/s and if you connect it with a source that also has 5l/s, you win. But I don't mind if you cheese a level, you can select them all from the start anyway ;)

Tombed by SuperPokeunicorn 2016-08-29T19:58:00

This game is pretty hard, I didn't even finish the first level. The controls feel a bit unresponsive and the sliding on the ground is anoying. I suck at platformers though, so there is also that :D The music is pretty catchy though, and I like the style, too.

LD38 — A Small World

Tub of War by quill18 2017-05-02T06:26:13Z

Fantastic game, as always! The graphics style fits the toy theme very well. The gameplay is satisfying and offers the right amount of challenge. The sound effects are pretty funny  I suck at twinstick shooters though and the controls confused me sometimes. I found it hard to see where the front and the back of the boat is: When I am not moving and the turret is turned to the back, I often went off in the wrong direction. All in all, it is a very impressive and polished game for just 48 hours! Nice job!

Troll Castle by berkano 2017-05-01T18:41:05Z

Nice game with some solid mechanics. I am not sure if the trolls are supposed to be still courageous after the mushrooms wear off, because they can still cross water. The controls feels a bit clunky, I think it would have been nice to control everything with just the mouse (maybe use right click or some kind of context menu?). The music is also very nice and contributes to the mood of the game. The art is strange, but fits the weird theme very well. Nice work!

Wrong Delivery by g12345 2017-05-14T07:43:45Z

A nice plattformer game. I like that you start without even the jump and have to "earn" it first. This progression is really satisfying. The back story of the game is funny. The gameplay feels solid and the controls are overall good. For me, the hitboxes of the enemy projectiles seemed a bit big - it felt like I was getting hit without the projectile visually hitting. Some more animations (for example the lava) and sound effects would have been cool. The level design is very good and areas are nicely gated by the mechanics you unlock. Overall, a nice entry, well done!

World Destroyer by Move127 2017-05-02T16:24:49Z

Nice game with a cool mechanic. I like that the bullet goes around and can potentially kill you as well. This makes it more punishing if you miss a shot. My only problem with it is that the projectiles are barely visible against the sky, so they can be hard to evade. The graphics are solid for a LD entry and there is quite a lot of levels with different mechanics. I really like how you introduced more mechanics one by one with a good learning curve. This definitely has some potential and I would like to see a more polished version

A View from Above by OfficialCodeNMore 2017-05-02T07:28:48Z

The ending really gave me a good laugh  I like the narrator and how it combines with the game elements. The mini games are quite simple, but the "story" still makes it worth playing. My only criticism is thta you can actually get stuck, if you miss your shots on the debris. If you run out of shots, literaly nothing happens and you have to reload. But maybe that is an intended part of the experience as well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Well done and very impressive for 14h actually!

Proxima Centauri b by Goncalo Monteiro 2017-05-01T18:29:29Z

The cube is a cool twist on the little planet idea that everyone did  The cursor position is off for me on the cube though. The graphics are neat, but the fonts are a bit small on my screen making the text hard to read. I am unsure what the purpose of the explorer is, since you seem to be able to build anywhere you want. The game definitely has potential: With some more buildings this could be really cool  Well done!

Pixlets by MaggardJosh 2017-05-05T07:23:37Z

A nice solid game. I like the music, even though it gets a bit repetetive after a while. The graphics are cute and functional. The gameplay is simple but fun. The unlock system works very well to keep you playing. Ist is actually surprisingly difficult to balance the trees and pixlets so that they all got something to eat and you don't run out of money. Overall, a fun game that is very addicting  Well done!

Crunching Creatures by Evan Overly 2017-05-01T06:49:22Z

A nice simulation with moving acorns  It seems to be very realistic : In the end, the humans had eaten all the food and then everything went extinct...

Commander's Log by smbe19 2017-05-03T07:26:54Z

Wow, this is a very solid game! Very impressive for such a short time. I like the voiceovers, they add to the atmosphere of the game. The music is also very nice. The graphics are basic, but communicate clearly what is going on. it is actually quite challenging to manage the space station, but did still feel fair. My game (web version) also crashed after a short time, something about a task being added that was already accepted - sorry, I closed the tab already. Amazing work, I think this is the best game I have played so far!

It's a Small World, So Let's Crash It into Things by simonhutchinson 2017-05-02T05:29:05Z

A very nice little game. The dark star is pretty creepy and really gives you the urge to run away. So it feels even better to crush it in the end  The only thing that I didn't like was the panning of the camera, I would have preferred a smoother one. The music also fits nicely. It probably does not have a lot of replayability, but the first playthrough was very fun! Well done!

SLINGSHOOT by chaoclypse 2017-05-01T06:38:03Z

The idea is really cool! Nice graphics also and good music. Overall, an impressive entry! The game gets quite hard farily quickly :grinning: Shooting a projectlie right back at the attacker actually requires a lot of precision (that I don't have :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:). Good job!

Little Fortune Planet by Flaterectomy 2017-05-02T06:43:57Z

This one was a plesant surprise. A very polished crazy sandbox simulation with a lot of cool interactions. The graphics are very well drawn and I love the attention to detail with the effects of the cards. The sound effects and music are also well done. Definitely one of my favorites of theis LD

Bumble Jumble by bram_ve 2017-05-02T07:21:19Z

The mood and atmosphere of this game are fantastic. I struggled a bit with the controls, because I did not have a controller on hand. I think I would not be able to do the timed challenge. The idea of playing a bumble bee is very cool and a nice take on the theme. Manoeuvring the honey back to the base could be challenging because I was uncertain where was up and down. Overall, the game is a relaxing experience with fantastic music. Well done!

Smalltrek by impbox 2017-05-14T07:28:59Z

Wow, this is really a fantastic game. A lot of puzzles that find the right level challenge. The graphics are very cute and communicate the puzzle state very well. The music and sound effects are also great and support the game's mood. The controls are a bit annoying sometimes, especially on the world map it can be hard to access the right planet. As you have already said, our games are very similar, but yours has more depth in its mechanics and more levels. Very impressive work for such a short time! I could also see this work well on mobile, with the small size for each level. I think this is one of my favorite games this LD.

DUCKTRON by neontropics 2017-05-02T07:11:22Z

This game is surprisingly good. I did not expect murdering non-sentinent ducks could be so fun  The game is also surprisingly hard, because you can easily get swarmed by other ducks. One of the mos annodying things I found was swimming into an other duck, because sometimes you cannot hit them but they can murder you. I would be interested in what this game would be like with collision between the ducks. I like how you combined a retro computer theme with ducks  Nice music and sound effects as well. A simple but very well executed game, good job!

Little Space by KevTukk 2017-05-01T17:43:05Z

Nice game, I especially like the music. The building system is a bit clunky sometimes and it is not easy to tell if you cannot build something because you lack the scraps or because it is blocked. Maybe just aligning the room to a grid would have made that easier. Also the scrolling is very confusing, I am still unsure what makes the perspective go up and down. I think it would be cool to control that scrolling yourself, so that you can always build something new at the floor. Otherwise its a very chill game with some potential. I could see it be really cool with some more room types etc.

Don't Make Me Stop This Car! by UncleChris 2017-05-09T16:36:35Z

Nice idea and sad you hat to cut the meters :disappointed_relieved: The game is challenging and it took me a couple of tries to get to the goal. After I restarted, the car didn't move anymore, however. The graphics are nice, but I found the music a bit annyoing after a while. All in all, a fun little game, nicely done!

Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive by slimabob 2017-05-02T05:41:49Z

A very impressive game for the compo. The graphics are nice, the music is chill and fits the space theme. It took me a while to figure out you could charge the thruster and fly further. I think I would have preferred continuous flying controls. But the sticky planet is really cool and collecting all the planets is fun. After I created the biggest planet and played on, I was able to push the sun offscreen, not sure if that is intended. Very polished game, good job!

Violent Goat by Pixelcode 2017-05-01T06:15:42Z

Very nice for a first entry! The goat looks nice and I like the atmosphere. The jumping feels smooth, except for when you get stuck at walls  I don't like the mechanic with the limited ammo. Because I missed which key was shooting on the first text box, I tried to figure it out by pressing every button. Overall, a good game with some nice humor :D

In Good Hands by simple-blue 2017-05-01T07:20:16Z

The idea is really cool! I also like the music and sound effects. The controls take a bit of getting used to, but then it is fun to snipe bears with meteors or lightning. Well done, a very fun entry

Little Mouse Planet by Frodewin 2017-05-02T06:34:51Z

This game is a nice little gem. I like the art style and the cute voice messages. The music is also nice. It took me quite a while to figure out how to use the well. Also I was not able to eat the cheese on the ground, so eventually I starved :pensive: Not sure if that is a bug or if I just did not figure out how to eat anything. The cat is also cool and makes the game more interesting. Very well done game!

The Escapist by mohammad 2017-05-01T06:29:43Z

Sorry, but I don't want to install a third-party software to be able to play your game.

Holy Shit! A Spider !!! by Aurelien 2017-05-01T18:12:56Z

The sound commentary is a really nice touch  A nice little game, easy to get the concept but hard to master. The graphics and sound are really nice. The only downside is that the loading takes quite long (probably because of all the audio comments). I really suck at these kind of games, only got a score <200 :worried: Overally, the game is fun to play and quite polished. Well done!

A World In Her Eye by OrbitalBlueprint 2017-05-01T17:21:10Z

The mood of the game is lovely  I love the idea of reaching another planet with a ladder. The riddles are pretty straight forward, but I guess I ran out of time before I could fully get my new robot friend going. The music also fits nicely with the athmosphere. One think that tripped me up a bit is when you have to make a choice suddenly after some dialog. I tend to spam the action button to go on reading and then accidentially make the wrong choice :worried: Very impressive game overall!

Suds of War by James Dunlap 2017-05-02T06:01:59Z

This is a cool twist on the theme! It's similar to the game of @quill18, but as a strategy game instead of a twinstick shooter. The game is quite hard and I got rekt by the enemy ships ganging up on me. The graphics are nice and I like the cute little clouds. The water refraction is a bit nausiating and the sound of the boats is a bit loud. The music is good and fits the childhood theme with its lullaby sound. Maybe you could have put segements in the bars for hp and actions, so that one can see more easily how many points are left. It would also be nice if after moving the ship would stay selected. Then it would be easier to continue exploring. Overall, a well executed game - nice job!

M^3 (Moon Mining Manager) by KnightOwl 2017-05-01T17:56:57Z

I really struggled with the UI of this game. Not only do the buttons not explain what they do, but there is no real feedback when you clicked them. I spammed the buy miners button because it didn't seem like it was doing anything. One ore deposit was very close to my base, so I didn't really see the miner, as it was half hidden in the base. Also, I am not sure, if the silo and refinery thing actually work. I can't seem to see ore accumulate anywhere and I cannot refine/sell/whatever. The UI needs some serious work before this becomes usable imho  Its a shame because the idea looked really cool. Maybe I am just too stupid to use it :disappointed_relieved: BTW, the buttons all say "Button" etc. before you select anything.

EDIT: Okay, after I watched some of your video it is clearer how to actually play the game. But I think the UI is still pretty unintuitive :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

SlapR by MewSoul 2017-05-03T07:11:47Z

A fun little game. The graphics style is very clean and the slap sound is very satisfying. Overall, it is pretty fun to slap the penguins around. The game gets difficult very quickly and at some point you just get overrun. I like how the ice slab wobbles when the penguins move on it. This game is a short but very enjoyable experience

Little Eco Planet by Wheerd 2017-05-02T05:20:36Z

Thanks everyone for your feedback  A lot of peaople said that they felt a bit overwhelmed by the tutorial. I tried to help with the box that tells you the rules for the selected animal. But I think interleaving tutorial and actual levels would have helped to memorize the rules better.

@clegamecoop Thank you  In that level (6 on the desert planet), there is only one place for the lion that works. Like all the other animals, the lion is unhappy on a desert tile.

@james-dunlap The trick to that level is that the vulture does not "block" the line of sight of the leopard.

@simonhutchinson Thanks! PuzzleScript helped a lot to get started with the puzzle aspects of the game. I can really recommend trying that for puzzle games.

Trindle Tabletop Experiment by vkmicro 2017-05-01T07:11:47Z

When I saw the first level, I though it was gonna be a boring maze game. But then it got more interesting and the last level was actually quite challenging. My favorite level was level 4 I think, because it hit the right level of challenge for me. The idea to make everything based on stationery is quite cool. It is a bit to easy to get stuck on things though. A solid entry though, well done!

Big Ship on a Small World by Samcam 2017-05-01T06:25:40Z

I love the art style of the planets  Some of them are only shown halfway though. The text is sometimes hardly readable because of its color. When the ship was flying, it seemed like the background was showing through it sometimes.

Until the End by FernandoAdolfo 2017-05-01T17:31:42Z

The idea of using a prison is very cool. I found it very confusing in the beginning which objects you could interact with. If you wander off in the wrong direction at the wrong time, it is also easy to die of starvation. I just got teleported into my cell and died before I could get to the cafeteria affter the cell opened again  It might be more realistic and interesting to build up hunger/thrist slower. Then you would also experience the boringness of a prison more. Nice work!

Polyville by Daniel Conway 2017-05-02T06:54:41Z

A nice game. The graphics are simple and functional, but do their job very well. The gameplay is a bit simplistic, but also very well executed for what it is. I never got stuck, because all the quest givers explained well how to find their objective. The controls are good although I am a bit surprised about the action key choice (G). I never really used the inventory, but if the game was extended to maybe include some items that need to be combined it could be useful. Overall, a very good game for your first LD

Exploroka by krunoslav 2017-05-09T16:32:26Z

The garphics of this game are fantastic! The controls also feel smooth. I found the gameplay quite confusing, until I discovered the messages in the top right. I think it would have been better to be able to collect all kinds of dimaonds and not just one. Or at least to not pick up diamonds of the wrong color if you run over them. Otherwise, a very nice game. I find that the world is very big and impressive for just 48h. Well done!

SmallWorld by arg410 2017-05-01T06:02:21Z

Simple but effective concept. The graphics are a bit simple. Sometimes the minerals seem to fall to far and get stuck in the planet, where you cannot reach them. The game could be interesting if some more elements are added.

Limited Space by Vidinu 2017-05-02T06:06:55Z

Got a crash when I tried to land on a planet: ``` ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Step Event0 for object o_cell:

Variable o_cell.tem_pop(100005, -2147483648) not set before reading it. at gml_Script_scr_crew_to_cell ############################################################################################ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- stack frame is gml_Script_scr_crew_to_cell (line 0) gml_Object_o_cell_Step_0 ```

Limited Space by Vidinu 2017-05-02T06:18:04Z

Very impressive game! The graphics are top-notch and the UI looks really smooth. The spaceship controls feel very good, just the landing on the planets is a bit difficult. I am unsure what the resources are used for and if it is worth to land at all. It feels like the time limit is very short, so maybe just flying is better? Not sure how the mechanics work there :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: The sound and music are fantastic and nicely set the mood of the game. The title screen music is also great!

I love the combination of a classic space invaders with some resource strategy elements. It feels like the tile based planets don't really have a purpose though, because you can just put any number of astronauts anywhere. Maybe some additional constraints could make this more interesting. All in all, this is one of my favorite games so far. Very well done guys!

World of My Own by kantieno 2017-05-03T07:01:59Z

Very complete and polshed game. The fighting feels satisfying and you have a good variety of enemies. The bosses are challenging but not unfair. Collecting resources is also a nice addition that allows some progression between worlds. It would be nice to be able to see how many resources you have somewhere. The levels can get a bit repetetive after a while, but for such a short amount of time it is a lot of content. Very impressive work!

Tiny Hadron Collider by clegamecoop 2017-05-02T07:03:50Z

The mechanics of this game are very cool, but they are difficult to grasp. I find it hard to correctly predict the trajectory. Otherwise, the game is very solid and polished. The music is good and the graphics do their job. This is actually the first mobile title that I've encountered so far. I can imagine that working very well, but I tested it only on PC. I would definitely play it on my phone though, if you publish it on the android market

eiland by rubna 2017-05-01T05:52:58Z

Beautiful game, the tide animation and the character look very nice. The controls work well and the sound effects for the items fit very well. I also like the mood of the game. I am not sure if there is another ending, but my island got flooded and I died. Also all the birds seemed to be dead at the start of the game, not sure if that was intended. Overall a lovely game, good job!
