This game has a very relaxing ambiance. :) I really like the visual aesthetic of it!
The controls were kind of difficult to work with though. I always expected to be moving in the direction my bee was facing, but would forget that I needed to use the triggers to go up and down. Also, maybe decreasing the sensitivity of the camera would be a good idea. I had to very gently nudge the analog to look at what I wanted without overshooting it.
Overall though, I enjoyed it!
Really cool atmosphere and world to explore. The premise doesn't make much sense though. Audio and visuals were nice and fit well together. You used way too much bloom though, maybe tone it down a bit.
gameplay-wise, I felt like I missed something, was there any reason to be shooting? Also the honeycombs seemed like they would fall immediately after you picked them up most of the time.
I liked it, but not really as a game. More of an atmospheric world exploration simulation. Very pretty.

@technonugget Thanks for the feedback, anyhow the shooting is only useful in challenge mode. You can achieve faster times by shooting the power ups over picking them up, it was intended as obscure feature that players should figure out on their own if they want to beat their own high scores. But maybe it was a little to obscure!
Really good atmospshere and graphics !
As @technonugget said, I finished the game in the two modes and only after, wondering why I didn't need the shooting feature (no enemies), I figured out how shooting might be useful.
By the way, original take on the theme. I really enjoyed to be able to explore the world as a bee. I'm wondering if you customized the colors/world to see it like a bee would see it ?
Nice entry !

@lugdumdare-team With the color scheme and lighting we went for an as magical feel as possible, which is amplified by the sound. We originally set out with a bee concept in mind, but the concept changed so much that we could have chosen a better player model and home point. So ye the colors weren't intended as bee vision but just to achieve a magical feel!

Maybe neon lights are a litle too strong. I like the bee model
Great graphics!!! The light effects were very strong. The cam some times stayed all white! The gameplay is very fluid and good. Very nice game. Congratulations!!!
The atmosphere was really strong in this, but sadly the inelegant gameplay really held it back.
|+ Beautiful atmosphere/environment, even if a bit too bloomy/difficult to see.
|- The camera felt really awkward with it auto-correcting its angle while also being how you're meant to move. |- The movement felt really stiff which made the navigation-the core of the game not very satisfying.
? Again the atmosphere created is really wonderful, but regrettably the gameplay just wasn't fun. I think if the movement was more satisfying/smooth and maybe as the bee you instead pollinated flowers in the environment to emphasize just the joy of exploring/looking throughout the environment it could have been a more enjoyable time. Even just having the camera's roll rotation locked and the full movement of the bee controlled by your looking direction (including its height) with the triggers just being adjustments after-the-fact would make for a stronger experience.
I don't see this as a game, but as an experience, and a very enjoyable one. I thought it was very relaxing, and I can see myself simply exploring the world as a bee. I think I would've liked it more if the environment was an open meadow with flowers and natural sunlight.

Lots of atmosphere on this one, pretty lighting and a cool ambient music go a long way. A soothing, relaxing experience, well done!
As said before though, there's too much bloom used here, especially at the bee nest where it's downright blinding when you're trying to bring a honeycomb back.
The controls also threw me off, it seemed often times the ascend/descend happens in fixed steps instead of how lightly/long I press the buttons. How the character does not follow the camera direction automatically with a rather slow turning speed paired with the auto-correction makes for a surprisingly clunky movement.
Both of these points have been already said, just opting in to emphasize where some potential fixes could be made. Very good work!

@devastus So how to camera works is as long as you're moving the camera will always line up with the bee. However when standing still it allows for looking around, it seems the problem lies in that feature and i can see situations where there might be an annoyance indeed. The ascend and descend fixed step i'm not sure what you are talking about in that situation? Ascend and descend speed is based on how far the analog buttons are pressed, apart from that it should give a smooth speed.
Anyway thanks for the feedback, getting the controls right without external feedback is hard it seems :)

Nice atmosphere! As the others said a little to much bloom and steering is a bit tricky. There is a bit room for improvements regarding the controls but other than that nice entry.
The atmosphere is very mystical and eerie thanks to the vibrant graphics and the music, although I found the glitchiness of said music somewhat distracting.
Eh, the gameplay itself is... ok'ish. Finding, collecting and moving honey around within a timelimit is certainly functional, but I did find the lack of enemies to shoot (you know, with the shooting mechanic!) a bit of a missed opportunity.
The :keyboard: and :mouse: controls are just fine, btw.
Pretty good work this.

Like most of them have said, it's a nice experience and the art/mood is Indisputably great - congrats for the team. My only complaint is the camera movement. Also, the bloom is a bit exaggerated. Maybe a mix of a weaker bloom and "bee vision" would also cause the magical feel.

The mood and atmosphere of this game are fantastic. I struggled a bit with the controls, because I did not have a controller on hand. I think I would not be able to do the timed challenge. The idea of playing a bumble bee is very cool and a nice take on the theme. Manoeuvring the honey back to the base could be challenging because I was uncertain where was up and down. Overall, the game is a relaxing experience with fantastic music. Well done!
I played with mouse and keyboard and I had some trouble to get used to the controls (move in 3d space). The athmosphere was magical, and we really sense that the world is huge.

I had difficulties with controls, but the idea and overall atmosphere is wonderfeul! I like graphics and music as well. I felt like real bee playing it. Good job!
Its a beautiful and entertaining game! Mybe the its a little bit dificult to control the bee. Good job ^^
Great game and really well made! The graphics were surprisingly good for a game jam entry and it was generally really polished and fun! It was maybe a bit hard to control the bee, it would probably be easier to aim with the mouse. But other than that, it was an extremely good game! Great job! :D
Very nice art and audio, and I enjoyed the bee's dance :P :)

Wow great job on the presentation! The graphics are stunning, and the ambient music contributes greatly to the atmosphere. You actually managed to create a believable world.
Unfortunately gameplay-wise there is not much meat. I couldn't figure out what the shooting was for and collecting the honeycombs was a bit frustrating as it was fairly easy to lose them by flying into something. You clearly geared the game towards controller input, and the keyboard controls are really a bit frustrating. I think it may have worked better with controls where you fly in the direction you look (mouse), rather than having motion and camera independent.
Overall a very relaxing experience, great job!
Had a little trouble getting the hang of the gameplay - but WOW the graphics are stunning! Actually, the controls kind of fit the fact that we are a bee character haha, and sadly I did not have a gamepad to try it with so that was probably my problem.
Mood + Atmosphere = A++ and that is due to the great music as well. Well done! Can't wait to see the next game you come up with.

A great game! After reading Kafka book The metamorphosis every time was wondering how is it to be an insect and here we are! I can be a bee. I like also to play some different games connected to puzzle or unscrambling, once my brother was challenging me in Scrabble, we were playing but i was not very good and hot angry a bit, had lost few times and my dear brother laughed at me, he is always doing it, bastard. What can I do! It is very difficult to find words among letters. So I found some word unscrambler site for help with winning over any words` jumble https://unscrambler.co/ next time I could easily beat my bro lol:))
