This was hilarious! The voice acting was really well done! It'd be cool if there were some more interactive elements though.

I have to admit the idea is pretty cool, and it gave me a really good idea for a game I now want to make myself. The graphics are okay and I like the voiceover. The text seems to have a small bug where it sometimes is pretty blurry and sometimes very sharp. Not sure what's causing that. Overall I enjoyed it and got scared a bit by the end because the sound was much louder than the rest of the audio. It ended a bit too soon, but it's a game jam, so who cares. Nice work!

I really like the 'story', the narration ,and the breaking of the fourth wall. Would have been great if the game was longer, i wanted to play more.

The ending really gave me a good laugh  I like the narrator and how it combines with the game elements. The mini games are quite simple, but the "story" still makes it worth playing. My only criticism is thta you can actually get stuck, if you miss your shots on the debris. If you run out of shots, literaly nothing happens and you have to reload. But maybe that is an intended part of the experience as well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Well done and very impressive for 14h actually!

Nice game, impressive to get it all together in such short time! Not entirely my kind of humour, but still got a chuckle out of it.

I think you just invented a new genre! :D Great. Strange, but great!

yves 2017-05-07 23:21

Wow haven't seen a game so far with voice acting. That was pretty cool and refreshing man! The game gave me some good laughs :D Nice one. I really like this entry! Good Job :)

Goats are supreme! I liked the meta-story. Nice work!

agentparsec 2017-05-10 23:21

Interesting storytelling approach. Not bad at all for less than 14 hours.

Hilarious, and easy fun! Left me laughing both times I played!

pyokoanarogue 2017-05-11 01:15

You really goat me there at the end ... gitit... (I do appreciate the correct length of the game, which means it was scoped correctly, it maintains a steady quality and doesn't bore the player at all. Hurray for short games!) It was GOOD! It is GOOD!

I like the uniqueness of this game (I think you invented a new genre!) and its awesome use of the theme. Also, the graphics were okay, but I guess a fancy font could be added in the future ( also note, Earth does NOT look like that planet in your game, there are only seven continents on Earth). I also liked the hilarious narrator (I especially liked his deep voice). One concept I didn't like about the game was that there was no checkpoints and you frequently had to restart the game. In conclusion, this was a good game and I especially liked its simple but elegant style.

toonteamj 2017-05-12 00:34

The breaking-the-fourth-wall thing seemed a little dull, but I must admit the sudden explosion of goats was unexpected and hilarious.

ajayajayaj 2017-05-13 02:43

Pretty good. Really like the narration :). Good job!

cosine 2017-05-15 00:39

That was... that was something. Lol.

Voice acting in an LD game!

I liked your idea of an infinite scrolling image masked by a circle to display the spinning Earth. It looks surprisingly good!

madjackmcmad 2017-05-15 01:11

I ended up running out of ammo trying to shoot the debris of the space shuttle. So the game stuck.

I commend you for working even with a limited time frame and not giving up. That's how winning is done. The rotating earth via sprite mask was very clever! Keep it up.

This is my first time participating in (or even hearing about) Ludum Dare, and it's projects like this that have won me over. A short, unique experience that wouldn't exist without the constraints. An ability to try out ideas that wouldn't exist otherwise. The humor worked for me, and the little interactive bits that do exist added to the experience.

mhaton 2017-05-15 05:48

I'm concerned. Also, goats.

Nice work, good to see something wacky and interesting

boorik 2017-05-16 12:43

Ahaha loved the narrator speech. Well done.

wolderado 2017-05-17 09:51

Ahahaha :D I really loved the humor aspect of the game :D Great job!

lone-spelunker 2017-05-17 16:26

This game is a little light on content, but what is here is quite clever. I'm not sure the core conceit of the game would support a fully-fleshed out experience, but as a quick little diversion, it was interesting.

One comment - it would be nice to be able to skip the text, or always have the text advance. I was playing without audio, so it was kind of frustrating to have to wait for seemingly-arbitrary amounts of time on some text, but could advance other text immediately with the space bar. (I realize you intended for players to play with the sound on, but the reality is that not everyone will. From an accessibility standpoint alone, it's good to assume that the person playing may not be able to hear the audio of the game.) Still, that's a pretty minor point, and didn't really detract too much from the overall presentation.

Not sure how I feel about goat explosions.
