Nice job, buddy! I liked it, its fluid, its intuitive and your art work is pretty. Maybe its because i didnt reach a high level but maybe you needed to add some extras, such as power ups or new enemys... but well done!

onyon 2016-08-29 11:09

Really solid entry. Sick artstyle and music. Feels like one of the time-killers you download on your mobile :D

joff 2016-08-29 11:10

Everything is great from the title menu to the game over screen, It is another game that would likely do very well on Mobile. It also has the same level of multiplayer as No Mans Sky :D

The only thing missing is an E on the game over screen where it say press scape to go back.

gulyasarni66 2016-08-29 11:27

Good.

The artwork is nice, but it quickly gets boring,
and the scrolling speed could be a bit faster. If it was on mobile, it could be better in my opinion. :)

burntfeelings 2016-08-29 11:59

Wow a really nice game artstyle is awesome music is awesome
you should have made it so that screen scrolling get faster over time and added a simple score to make the game a bit more interesting, anyway its a really good game and the title is very original ;) :D if you could have added a few more features i would have enjoyed it alot more and seriously you should but it up to app store if you add few more features like score, save best score and so on it would be a total killer :D

sn0uk 2016-08-29 12:11

This is really cool, it's like vertical flappy bird, but... Does it have multiplayer????

qwaklak 2016-08-29 12:34

Art is best which i had seen on this LDedition !Flappy game:D problem is make it for smartphones. Player has to use at least 2 controlbuttons. In general good game.

diegoctorguet 2016-08-29 12:35

@onyon @Joff @Gulyasarni66 @BurntFeelings

I didn't think about making this a mobile game, but that may be a great idea. I think I'll work on that eventually to experiment with the mobile stores too.

I know it's a short experience but I wanted to keep it simple and be able to polish it all I could.

ghen 2016-08-29 12:45

lovely entry, i love the art style and color overall, very smooth and mellow, also the music fit very well to the game
the gameplay quite responsive, a bit confuse at first cause if the need of tapping space for going up

mr-jaqbq 2016-08-29 13:06

Gameplay reminds me of flappy bird. I like your art, its polished and colorful. Would be great on mobile, so consider a port!

sakaki 2016-08-29 13:26

Loved the graphics style! The particles, the flat shadows, everything!

The gamplay is also good, but I think it can be better with *alreayd said* pop ups, and maybe if you turn the impulse applied to the object when we tap (so it get less force applied to it). Althought, loved it! As alreayd said by onyon: I would certanly donwload it to spend sometime on my mobile :D

micromacro 2016-08-29 15:02

Graphics are nice, gameplay is nice, everything is nice. Good job. :)

mathias234 2016-08-29 15:08

Nice Game, could really be one of those Mobile games i would waste a few hours on!

sun-wukong 2016-08-29 15:12

Although simple, it feels very polished, good job on this one.
Controls responsiveness and motion smoothness is perfect too.
I would like to use some other key instead of spacebar though.
P.S.: Unity produce some strange glitches on this machine.

sun-wukong 2016-08-29 15:14

Ah, I can change input from the settings menu! Didn't notice it first.

wheerd 2016-08-29 15:41

The graphics are amazingly precise, a really cool style overall. I don't really like the "jump" mechanic, but that is because I suck at it :D Only thing that is missing is an exit button. I think it would be perfect as a mobile game. The music is also good.

lonesurvivor 2016-08-29 15:53

A solid simplegame with nice graphics and good music. I find it kind of hard to control with that jump mechanic, but i guess that's the point of it. Good job!

dehayat 2016-08-29 15:57

Quite a nice game i find the control difficulty makes it harder and more interesting

asteryz 2016-08-29 15:59

Great overall style!

der_wisch 2016-08-29 16:00

Nice graphics and sound but gets old very quick, maybe some powerups (slower fall, higher horizontal speed, etc.)?

But overall good job!

justashadow 2016-08-29 16:02

10/10 - "Better than No Man's Sky" - IGN

On a more serious note, the graphics were really nice and the music was relaxing. You should have added a scoring system based on distance traveled and maybe you could have added some pickups that give you more points just to make it more interesting, but overall, a really nice entry!

differentname 2016-08-29 16:05

Great atmosphere with the music, and fading into the menus. I lost instantly a few times not realizing I was supposed to use the spacebar to move up at first, but it made me laugh that it was asking if I wanted to play again before I even did anything. I'm pretty horrible at this kind of game though, so I didn't make it very far.

lekiy 2016-08-29 16:28

Great game, the aesthetics looks good, I did notice some of the obstacles were overlapping, also once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to get though, thinking about adding different obstacles would make the game last longer. and probably more interesting.

lcmw_spud 2016-08-29 16:31

The game looks and plays nice, very solid entry

superpokeunicorn 2016-08-29 16:39

Nice game! I was a bit confused at first and died a couple times before I figured out what was going on, but once I got the hang of things, it was smooth sailing. The gameplay was simple and a bit repetitive, but still enjoyable enough and didn't overstay its welcome. Judging by the screenshots, I had assumed that this was going to be a Doodle Jump clone, so needless to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The visuals and audio were also phenomenally done for 15 hours. I really like the white outline everything has and how the background slowly changes. The music was also very relaxing. I like how the jump sound has several pitch variations. It times it almost felt the the thrusts became part of the music. Good job for only 15 hours.

rafacp 2016-08-29 17:00

Very beautiful game, awesome graphics, nice music, loved how you made the background gradually change, all very artistic indeed.
The gameplay is a little too simple and lacked some more variety, but overall it's a very solid LD game.
I also noticed that some obstacles were overlapping.
Congrats!

vitineth 2016-08-29 20:19

Wow is about all I can say. This game is an absolute pleasure to play. The art style is absolutely amazing and so much fun to look at. The sound complements it wonderfully and it makes the game so nice to play. It's simple but nice and a lot of fun to play so well done. The only suggestion that I could give would be to add some sort of scoring system so you can see if you beat yourself. You could even add some global high scores but I might be getting a head of myself. As others have said it would make a great mobile game if you were able to do it.

muit 2016-08-29 22:18

The control was perfect and the style simple and beautifull.
Maybe the dificulty should increase a little more faster.

Anyway looks very polished and finished, congrats!

First of all, thanks everyone for your awesome feedback. It's my first time in the Ludum Dare and I'm delighted with the community and its eagerness to have fun and make better games.

I considered this first attempt in the competition to be simple, polished and enjoyable. And as I see your comments I think I have accomplished it. Some of you didn't find it as challenging as you may expect, but the challenge is to escape from the planet, where you will come to the win-state :)

Anyway, I found that a lot of people would like to play an adaptation of this game into mobile. And I'll see what could be done. Indeed, that would be an opportunity to add new features as scores, an infinite mode, power ups or even multiplayer; and to fix any bug.

Thanks again for your comments and I hope you enjoyed the Ludum Dare as much as me!

fib 2016-08-30 01:41

Simple, yet elegant. The art and music are very good. The gameplay is a little slow for me. Overall, very well done.

dkdwrek 2016-08-30 03:00

Excellent polish and scope for a competition game. Nice job!

kevkevonfire 2016-08-30 03:39

15 hours? Show off :P. Great art, good music. Really just needs a high score system. Oh, and while you're at can you make me suck less at it? It would be a big help, thanks.

2016-08-30 08:22

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description. (you can already find several games from the jam there)

amine-tcherak 2016-08-30 11:35

Very Nice i love your Game Good Works )=

seveca95 2016-08-30 12:34

I think that your game need a score or something similar. Nice game.

nichii 2016-08-30 16:16

Nice pun, I adore the art style, super clean and does what it needs to. This is a pretty solid game. I can't find an issue with aside from the arubt intro but it was not a huge issue. Good luck in your future games!

amine-tcherak 2016-08-30 16:52

Realy cool game great graphics good job ... very nice

kingpirux 2016-08-30 17:00

lol this one just needs a highscore and goes stright to i-store and googleplay

xesenix 2016-08-30 17:32

Art side of this project is supreme clean graphics and nice music 10/10 for those two categories. Next time you need to work on game play so player have good reason to enjoy your beautiful work :).

stevenjmiller 2016-08-30 19:19

The art and music are fantastic, I agree that with a score (and possibly a few extra mechanics) this would make a great mobile game.

rjhelms 2016-08-31 05:18

Really excellent art and sound, like everyone is saying. The controls felt just right, as well.

I could see this being really excellent if it was an "endless runner" sort of game - rather than having an end, it just slowly accelerated and you were going for distance.

Also, love the title!

nervous-composers 2016-09-01 12:56

I loved the graphics, music and atmosphere!

lenon_kramer 2016-09-01 13:40

Geez, it's good.

Definitively a good mobile game. Put some power ups and some variety of things to avoid.

huvaakoodia 2016-09-06 09:02

More challenge please. Also there were loads of flying space amoebas (?) spawned on top of each other, not that it makes any difference whatsoever.

And yeah, other people already made these points so there's that.

diegoctorguet 2016-12-29 20:08

Hi everyone!

When I did this entry I was really happy to see all this feedback and I want to tell you that I took advantage of it.

These months I've been dedicating some free time to adapt and improve the game and I've just pubished it today for Google Play.

I'll leave you the link here if you want to play it.
