The music, looping aside, is still pretty good especially since it was made during jam time. Most important thing is probably adding some sort of landmarks, a maze can only be so cruel.

Great Idea and Good Job )
Pretty good for 10 hours and the first jam I would say ;)
The maze gets a bit boring after a while, so I only managed to collect 4 of the artifacts. The story is good and the music as well. With some other mechanic (puzzles, fights etc.) this could be an interesting game :)
This game has quite a nice atmosphere, kind of a meditative experience, and very fitting music! We also enjoyed the story lines! Good job! The gameplay got a bit repetitive after a while, which is why we didn't try to find all 6 machine parts. The main challenge seemed to be keeping track of where you had already been ;-)
My virus scanner was not happy with your game :D
Anyways, after convincing my computer that your game was not gonna set it on fire, I was able to play it. I really like the graphics, simplistic, yet good. The music didn't loop properly as you said, but other than that, its well done. Gameplay was simple and tended to get repetitive eventually, but could easily be expanded, so potential is there! Overall a very good game, especially for your first Ludum Dare. Good job!
Really cool game and music, i like the way the story is told with each artifact gained, good job ^^ Also first time participating in Ludum dare good luck for the future ~
Well, I wanted to give some feedback but seems from your description that you already have a pretty good understanding of what could be improved on. I think the best thing about this entry is the atmosphere. Was fun to see another ~10 hour entry like mine. :)
Like other people have said the game, while having a great atmosphere, really needs another mechanic to keep your interest.
On a technical level, when the camera moves it distorts the edge of your player sprite which is a bit jarring
But I really like the odd bits of history and background that you get as you walk around. Good first entry!
The music is quite calming and suits the atmosphere. I also liked the minimalistic graphics. Upsettingly I was unable to locate the last artifact. Perhaps one day I'll finish the game.
I really liked the atmosphere of the game. The music was very nice (although the looping was a bit awkward) and the bits of dialog were also pretty nice. However, I feel like the maze was a bit too big. Sometimes there wasn't really anything to see, and there wasn't any dialog either. Really nice game for your first entry though.
@Syrapt0r Ahah! Didn't expect that! Thank you very much for opening your system to my vicious vir*ahem*playing my game. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the feedback!
@blinry @wheerd @FaeLD @Hackingroelz @kndx123 Thank you very much for the feedback, for a while i was actually worried that the map was too small and simple XD I was struggling with the room editor and was getting a bit frustrated so i had to rush it, completely erasing any semblance of plan i had of putting hieroglyphs on the walls as landmarks :(
I'm also extremely happy a lot of you actually liked the music, it means a lot to me (i have a past as a musician).
Thank you!
The music is nice. The graphics are simple, but it does not bother me. The text create a pleasant mood.
The game itself is not very exciting, it is a maze, but considering you made it quickly and that it is your first jam, it is cool.
Great game for 10 hours. An indicator to where the machine room is, would've been extremely helpful. Apart from that, great submission.
Yay, managed to get them all!
Please do finish the game, with whatever big plans you had. It was a bit boring, but still somewhat pleasant (probably thanks a lot to the music ;)). It you could prevent the feeling of being lost aimlessly wandering the maze by adding some content it could be a really nice little game-experience.
love the music, love the art style, but the game felt like it lacked content.
also, add some text in the background in the map to tell us what to do, i didnt even see the character for a solid 30 seconds, and could not find witch buttons to press :P
but after that i had a solid 4 min of fun.
Music is good, and I liked the story told by broad strokes. However, running up and down those samey hallways got old quick. On the whole, it fas fun while it lasted!
I enjoyed this experience. I like how the visuals, music and story progression create a sense of mystery to this world. The long corridors do get tedious though and it really needs an ending to the story!
