Really good mood but kinda slow even in chrome
it doesn't run on mac
Funny, but no bread?
It's very hard. But fun. and that's good, although I think that the walls should be instantiated off-screen
I love the art! Some of the movement was a little fast so controls could be hard at times but otherwise great
Pretty fun if simple. Works well!
Fun! I'm stuck on ??? though
I fell sideways? Looks cool but it doesn't work for me
Not really sure what I was supposed to be doing
its very hard
it's very hard
Couldn't shapeshift for some reason. Just scrolled down on the page... :/
I would suggest that you don't use the mouse to look around AND move, it makes it a little hard to aim and avoid bullets at the same time. Mouse to look and WASD or arrow keys to move would've been better. It was pretty fun nonetheless
Not bad. Still a little confused as to the object of the game. Guess it's just to try and level up by collecting resources and upgrading inventory space? It was fun nonetheless and had nice art! Good work :)
Very nice pixel art and music. I can't seem to get past the area where you receive the morph ball (nice homage to Metroid by the way, that's pretty cool) though.
Pretty nice!
It doesn't work for me. It just says I have NaN and I need to save them from NaN wolves. The night passes and it says I won
Clever idea! Very nice
Reminds of Castle Clashers a little
I'm very confused and very happy. Pretty buggy (i get stuck outside the stage a lot) but I like the dancing carrot and the mustache birds!
weird but funny
Fun gameplay! Innovative as well
Really awesome pixel art and a cool spin on the theme!
Awesome! I love the take on Tetris mixed with Hole in the Wall
Good mood but a little confusing
I don't have the reflexes for this but its still fun
Not a huge fan of the overly pixelated style, it made it a bit confusing to walk around/look around and figure out what i was seeing sometimes. I also was not quite sure what I was meant to do. I smashed stuff against the wall and then the customers just left
There are just a whole ton of little blobs and its making me sad because they're murderers!
Fun with nice art! The boss is a little hard though since he moves at the same speed, if not faster than you, so you have to use the sword to dash a lot
did you name the game after yourself? lol but good work man
did you name the game after yourself? lol but good work man (and yes, it is marginally laggy for me as well) :0
But eyyyy I got 7 points
Very fun!
Nice ambience, I like the (mostly) grayscale graphics. However, I feel that the style was a little inconsistent (walls are much more detailed than floors) and that the crosshair was hard to see because of its low contrast with the background. I like the camera Lerp at the beginning, it looks very nice, although the player movement and camera movement when switching between rooms is too fast for my taste. I assume you were trying to go for that Legend of Zelda style of camera movement between rooms, but I would've preferred if the camera simply followed the player's position. Otherwise is very fun. I do think the bullets should be visible or at least have a muzzle-flash animation. Quite addicting to play.
It's amaze-balls! I love everything about this entry!
Really enjoyable and simple, reminds me of some of Kechapp's games. Would be more fun with more levels. I think the sound effect when you beat the level could be a little better.
@thatsBamboo not sure what you mean by "attack indicator." I do know what you mean about the movement though... I tried to fix that, guess the amount of slippery-ness-reducing I put in wasn't enough.
Was a little confusing at first, but has a nice graphical style and interesting gameplay. Not sure that it fits the theme so well other than being set in ancient times, but I enjoyed it quite a bit and would love to see a more expanded-upon version
I love everything about this! Music, gameplay, especially graphics/animation. I love that you can use the magnet beam on arrows as well. Had a hard time figuring out how to actually start the game, though. I was on the start screen for a while before I noticed the button, since it was in the same art style as everything else and looked so seamless!
Not sure if this counts as a "game" really, but nonetheless the graphics and animations are nice. It controls well and I like the ambience.
I am extremely confused. It feels like there's something here that I'm supposed to know that I don't. Everything i said was responded to with some non-contextual phrase like "So I'll just call you..." and then "He had to save her."
Very strange. The sound effects are funny but the tilting is so slow it's unnoticeable.
Wow. This is really strange. Weird art, weird music, weird... birds that make clouds wet??? wtf? but... uh... i kinda like it? I think? It was fun in a very strange way.
Also why are there purple stars with faces underground
Oooooooookay? Quite funny, there were some grammatical errors though. I like the spin on "ancient" technology as well as the reveal that grandpa studied ancient magic.
Really wonderful. I also experienced the scrollbar and cursor issues. Other than that, the story was super intriguing and great, and the name is the best one I've seen so far this LD
Doesn't run on my Mac. I get this error in Terminal: run.command ; exit;

Really nice with good mood and sound design. Loved the puzzles, the only issue I found was that the audio would cut out and the music would re-start when switching rooms. You could fix this with a script on the audio game objects that uses DontDestroyOnLoad(gameObject); as well as something to detect and destroy duplicates (using an instance check)
Super hard but good
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do to call. I type in the number and then nothing happens. Redial resets it and stop dialing just shows the thanks for playing scene
10/10 hilarious. I love that you can press the letters in "babel" on the start screen and they light up.
Really good art. Could've used some music. I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do though. Bumped into some various objects, some sounds happened, dialogues. I'm kinda sad that everything's in Comic Sans though
The hydration goes down too fast and I couldn't find any water :\
I do like the mood and music though, not sure about the theme
cute but would be nice with sound and some more weapons
Didn't quite understand at first, but once I got it this was very enjoyable. It's oddly satisfying to see the different wheel shapes fit so perfectly into their corresponding terrain types. It would be nice to be able skip the tutorial. Also, the default iMovie music gets a little repetitive after playing for a few minutes.
Very fun and related to the theme. Not sure if it's intentional but many of the graphics look blurred.
Good, would be better with continues or lives and sound
I wish the text boxes at the beginning for the username and password didn't already have text in them. I wish there were some more skill involved, like maybe when you try and hack someone you have to type some random nonsense really fast.
Very ...creepy graphics. The uh... controls... are a little too fast, but they are smooth. I love that you can sexually identify as an attack helicopter! It gets a little too hard I think, probably because the enemies spawn wherever they want and not on the edges of the screen (so it's common for one to spawn on top of you and take out a bunch of your health)
Weird? Gross? Extremely sensitive keyboard controls? If you want those things, this is the game for you.
It's pretty hard but I kind of like it.
It's really good. The graphics could use some work and the aiming system is very odd. Not sure why the aiming line goes for a certain distance and then snaps to a bullet that's nearby. Also it doesn't seem like the bullets bounce off at the correct angles. BUT! It's fun and I played like 11 levels.
Interesting. Works quite well as far as the main mechanics (although there are some issues I saw, such as the kick/op/deop buttons disappearing randomly and never coming back). Nice music and graphics, although whenever I open any of the non-music files I just see ASCII art that says WAREZ LOL. Dunno if there are more types of files than these or if I'm doing something wrong
Awesome if a bit short! I love the aesthetic and the music's pretty good. The character controls are super tight (even though they don't really need to be considering the type of game this is). The ending was cool too: PLOT TWIST!
I love the idea of Link having a Roomba! Pretty fun, but vacuum audio loop sounds choppy and the hatboxes on the couch and plants can be a bit unfair sometimes
Super fun! Peeing sound effect is gross.
Cute but not really a gaaaaaame and nothing that interesting about it. There's not really a conflict or plot, other than, "Hey, we're stuck in a room. Let's watch movies and do art stuff." It seems like you spent most of the time on the FANTASTIC art, but not enough on having an engaging or interactive story. It does look very official, though, like it came from a real company and not just two people making some stuff in 3 days.
Awesome! Much better drawings than my game... :\ Love the controls, though it took me a couple tries to figure out that you;re supposed to shove the enemies into those squares of light (I guess they're pits)
Solid game. I accidentally broke it by producing a lot of babies in a short amount of time right at the beginning, which sent me off the screen. I was constantly earning money by not doing anything, and I had to close the game to restart inside the room. Other than that, love it. Weird story but interesting and fun gameplay concept.
It's pretty funnnnn? but the reflections don't work that well and it's weird to use up/down to rotate instead of right/left or mouse. Just my opinion. Also it would be cool if bouncing a missile off your shield over and over built up a combo that gave you point multipliers or something
I love the idea, the feel, the mood, the audio, I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS GAME! ...except there's something missing... maybe some more instruction? I'm not really sure what to do in the dream with the baby.
I'm just confused.
Could've used music and some more visuals? Got betrayed a lot. Loved the names though
I love the aesthetic and sound; I'm always a sucker for games that run in a tiny square window for whatever reason. Very good controls and creative level design.
O hi mark
Super cool idea! It's a bit simple, but fits the theme perfectly, has good music, and okay visuals. I'm not sure the voxel art style fits the way you rotate around the world that well, but I still enjoy its charm. The models remind me of Cube World, which is a good thing. I'll make sure to come back to rate.
Walking on circles made the controls a little disorienting, but otherwise nice. The music and art and gameplay mechanics are all great. Reminds me of Gravitee. But with less golf and more spikes.
Nice! Cool game idea. Seems like it could be a mobile game.
oh my godddd it's so g o o d Feels very "tiny" and I love that. Fits the theme perfectly. Fun art. Fun music. Fun mechanics. Fun game. You can count on a good rating from me!
I think it was okay considering it was for a game jam, but the plot didn't really draw me in and it wasn't exactly scary. I did like the humorous dialogue between the dullahan's disembodied head and the main character though, when he doesn't realize his body is somewhere else. :) I thought the graphics were quite well done and the plot was a pretty good start but of course it was very short, which is to be expected from LD games anyway. I do wonder why the girls weren't all in the same room since it was a sleepover, and why they weren't in pajamas or at least some more casual clothes. I also think the guest rooms felt too big and empty. Think about rooms in games like Pokemon or the Legend of Zelda (specifically the top-down view ones like Link to the Past), which are much smaller but have the walls lined with stuff to make them feel full. I don't want to discourage you though. It's definitely ambitious to do VNs and RPGs for a game jam, and its a breath of fresh air from the constant barrage of games about robots and space, so I think you did a pretty good job considering the circumstances of doing this sort of a game in 72 hours.
Pretty good, reminded me of that old game Gravitee. Felt a little too heavy and sluggish though, and would've been nice to have colliders at the sides of the levels so you don't fly off into infinity.
Very fun. My favorite part was "What you are doing is hurting me."
What the hell is ottermode? Fun game, very great graphics and music. I wish it gave you a short tutorial to understand each minigame with no chance of HP loss so you didn't have to restart the game each time you tried a new minigame and didn't understand how to do it for the first 2 seconds. Also you should be able to skip the opening cutscene. Otherwise very enjoyable. Almost makes me want to go to the real gym and get some sick gains. Almost.
I like the art, but those bullets feel too slow compared to the player. Also the wall jump doesn't work if you use arrow keys.
It was totes hard, yo. Not impossible, but hard. I think a large part is the movement speed, when I'm falling I get hit by horizontal attacks because I can't move side to side and falling isn't fast enough to get me out of the way. Still a solid game though, the difficulty didn't kill the fun.
Weird :\ I like it though. The sound effects for the plant monsters are really silly. Bullet count UI text was too small to read though, probably my screen resolution. Maybe put a screen size canvas scaler on that stuff.
Confusing but pretty fun. I think the cutscene was a little too fast to understand (although everyone else seems to have gotten it). Inclusion of lawnmowers was very enjoyable. When I think about Ludum Dare, I think about how there aren't enough lawmower related games. So thank you for this.
Oh its real good. And weird. I also could not find the 6th battery on the third level though. Aside from that, enjoyable, no issues. Solid graphics and sound.
The music isn't too loud :) Quite good, feels smooth. The only real issue I had was that the menus didn't fit properly on my screen. The sides were cut off.
FFFAAAAAAAANTASTIC DUDE!!! This is really great. I would buy this game if it had more maps, backgrounds, car selection (or customization), and multiplayer. I'm serious. This is really good. A few tips: The countdown audio is half the length of the actual countdown, and its crazy difficult to recover from going off road. I don't want to say anything bad about the drifting because, well, drifting is the best part of any racing game amiright BUT it could use some sound like tires screeching but more spacey. I'm pleasantly surprised to say that although like a third of all the games I've seen in this LD have been space games, most of them have managed to be distinguished from each other, this one especially! :)
I can't for the life of me figure out what to do after (spoiler alert) the forest is set on fire. Aside from that, this game is one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen, period. The music is also stellar. I just wish you could walk a little faster and that there was maybe some clue as to what I can do about those spikes. I mean, maybe I'm just steewwpid but I tried clicking on everything I could think of. I would like to see the rest of the game though.
The alien bugs are cool looking! Sometimes I wasn't sure if I was actually dealing damage to some of the ships because there wasn't any (noticeable) sound or particle effect from them. The music was pretty cool if repetitive. Another thing that would be nice (although this is just me being really picky) is that the player's ship should either have thrusters on all sides or a gun that rotates separately from the body (like a tank turret) since a ship like that with thrusters only in the back wouldn't be able to fly backward or side to side, only forward. But stuff like that doesn't really matter in a Ludum Dare I suppose, so good job! I definitely enjoyed this one! It did get a bit crazy after a bit, but not impossible.
Really beautiful. It's obvious a lot of work went into making the sprites. The music is okay. The game is pretty fun, but whatever method you are using to detect if the player is grounded (sending a raycast down, I assume) is not detecting that I'm grounded if I'm hanging off the edge of a cliff. Basically it makes long jumps a pain because you can't jump at the last moment, you fall instead. I'd recommend doing 2 raycasts from each side of the player, and if either of them hits the ground, the player can jump.
Really fun and interesting! Visually great too! The music could have used a little work, it felt kind of repetitive.
@busy-games Looks like I linked to the wrong thing, sorry... I changed it to link to the correct folder now.
@bmanstudio I don't want to give away too much, but there are 12 items that you can potentially use to try to help you get through the gate. Try to find them all!
Didn't seem like I was able to drop down from trees by pressing down. Also, the cats didn't seem to do anything when they touched me. I had some trouble jumping up the trees at the end to get home. Otherwise, the game is fun and cute. The graphics are great!
Pretty nice! The enemy AI could be a little better and it's strange to me that you have to let go of a key before it registers input, but it was a fairly fun game. The graphics and music are good
Wish movement was a little faster, falling after jumping takes too long for my taste. I understand why you fall so slowly, but maybe a fast-fall option would be useful?
A not bad terraria clone - very impressive scope for a jam! A few issues: Movement felt slow (especially jumping) and the enemy base generated off the edge of the world which allowed me to fall through the world.
@honey-pony I was playing the Windows version. I don't mean it was laggy or anything, just felt like the movement speed could have been higher.
Pretty fun, interesting mechanic of having to stop moving to charge up your ammo. Feels pretty nice but movement is a bit too slippery for my tastes, considering the genre of game.
Not bad, there's a lot of content here. Could use more flavor though. Music or sounds would have been nice.
Pretty difficult, but fun. I wish there was more feedback for the player's actions, like the tiles turning over to show what color they are as a result of drawing the line, or the numbers glowing or something to show when their condition is met.
Bots are impressive, controls are decent, I had some issues where I would fall through the ground though, and the "waaahhhh" sound effect felt a little out of place esp. because it seems like it plays at full volume regardless of how far away it is lol.
Really cool once you get the hang of it. Starting level should be easier, the boss was easier than the first two levels. Also it felt a bit weird to have the ship's hurtbox be the whole sprite but it does sort of make sense considering the mechanic. Graphics are perfecto *chef's kiss*
Very nice, good graphics, good sounds (although the footsteps sound was a little weird imo), good mechanics. I think the axes and arrows make you fly a little too far though, I found it very difficult to get through a couple areas when I was basically getting combo'd by the hazards. Maybe some i-frames would help with that, idk. I also think the controls could be a little better. Hitting r makes me take my finger off the d key, which isn't great if I'm trying to jump right or adjust my jump while grabbing the vial. I think right click might have been a better option.
Overall though, this game is super cool. I love the spooky aesthetic and the different ways you can use the grab and throw mechanic. Definitely some very cool technical stuff is possible here. Would love to see a speedrun of this game.
Very nice, balanced game. The lack of pixel-perfectness does bother me but whatever, it's a compo game. Overall the sprite work is quite nice and the particles add a lot. I do wish it was a bit longer or that there was some kind of endless mode.
Good visuals and nice take on the classic asteroids game. Was difficult to react to incoming asteroids since movement is pretty slow and you don't have any indication of which planet an asteroid is headed for unless you can actually see it (which is difficult on such a small resolution). I also found it a bit weird that there is that clump of asteroids in the middle at the start, since they don't really move much and just kind of serve as a place for you to die accidentally
Cool idea! Things were a little too dark though, and at the beginning the camera was panned all the way over to the top left rather than focusing on the egg, so I was a little confused. Managed to beat it though. I like the way the music gets more filled out as you progress.
Really cool! Got difficult fast (I don't really play puzzle games) but the idea is very cool. Kinda got annoying that the text telling you not to cross beams over characters shows up every time you mess up on the first level that's introduced in.
Fun, very frustrating though. Overall good little game. Sound, mood, and graphics are all up there!
Noooo Ben and his hot date are going to different planets! There must have been some kind of miscommunication! This is so sad
Cool! Pretty difficult, but also pretty addictive. It's a bit confusing at first since the how to play is only text and doesn't really show you what does what, but I got the hang of what everything did pretty fast. The controls felt a little unintuitive (I would've preferred button presses rather than holding) but that might just be me.
Definitely very difficult. Love the way this looks but I feel like the timing is a bit too strict. Also there were some times when I would push that little spear dude and his sprite would overlap with mine and not actually get pushed.
Controls are a bit too sensitive I think. Cool idea though!
Pretty cool. Kind of annoying that the direction you go when reaching the next loop is randomized...
Cool! Got softlocked a couple times with stuff getting stuck in walls though. Also the inertia scrolling on the how to play screen is way too much lol, but that's not a gameplay issue :) Overall this is a super interesting game!
Very cool! Started out easy but got much harder a bit too quickly. I also think the goal looked too similar to the blobs. Once the levels started getting more zoomed out it was a bit hard to tell where the goal was at a glance. Overall the game was very original and neat. No idea about all the singularity and 2^n stuff you're talking about in the description though, lol :)
This was a blast honestly. Very simple game and I wouldn't play it more than a couple times but the humor and animation and music are all great. Goes to show that a lot of polish on an otherwise simple game can be really fun. Great job on this.
Cool game. Pretty simple but enjoyable. I like the worm's visuals. It was definitely a bit easy, but still fun nonetheless.
Pretty cool. I liked having to balance everything. But I agree with @rialgar that some things just seemed better than others even though they had the same cost. I also ended up getting a worker and firetruck softlocked on one space while the worker was fixing a house. It was also sort of annoying to have to click the little x button whenever you try to send a worker somewhere while they're working. It would be better to just have a temporary popup that goes away on its own and doesn't cover up everything else. Otherwise decent little game and was fairly fun and relaxing. The music and graphics were pretty nice. Good job!
Pretty fun. I felt like the WASD controls did become obsolete pretty quickly though, once the lava stuff gets introduced. Grappling precisely was also really hard, the final level felt like it just took too long.
Nice game! The enemies jumping off screen was a big issue though. I felt like the difficulty ramped up pretty fast as well once the shooting enemies started being introduced.
Cool idea! The game did feel like one big tutorial, though. I would've liked to see more applications of these mechanics in some puzzles where the solution isn't told to you outright. Definitely has some great potential though, I think you could really have something if you continue working on this.
Nice! I like me some pirates! Music could be a bit less... sad sounding lol. Also I think when new cards are drawn they should come up from the bottom so they are faster and so you don't accidentally grab them while they're moving into place. I ended up doing that a lot by mistake and it resulted in my untimely demise. Generally though the combat is enjoyable enough and the concept is good. Nice job!
Pretty cool! The graphics are great! Felt very slow at times and waiting for the grappling hook to come back was kind of annoying. Backtracking if you missed some of the powerups was also a little annoying since enemies don't respawn (it made it a little boring since there were no obstacles to deal with on the way back). Overall awesome game, would be cool to see more.
I liked the graphics and audio quite a bit, and the concept was very cool. A couple issues I had were that moving without holding space felt pretty useless, and it was difficult to catch the records after throwing them. Also the particles effects are a bit heavy, made it easy to lose where enemies and your records were. Because of that I had a really hard time at the start of the first level where you get the second record - I would throw my records down at the two blue enemies and the particles would catch me off guard since I couldn't see my records under them or know if the enemies actually died, then I would get cornered. Also the perspective occasionally made it hard to see enemies or stopped records hiding behind walls.
Looks pretty, gameplay is too speedy and collision detection is inconsistent, I couldn't really even make it through the first screen. I also found it difficult to tell the difference between foreground and background rocks sometimes since the colors were so similar. Could have potential and I'm sure some people enjoy these type of controls but it's not for me.
Pretty cute. I didn't realize at first that all the objects would kill me. The controls are good but personally I think it would make more sense to reverse them since you're always going down. Could use some more audio. Also collisions were definitely unfair. There were a couple times I entirely missed an object and still lost. Also a slower ramp of difficulty might be nice. Starting right off the bat with a million objects to avoid made it a little tough. I like it overall, though.
It's cool, but I couldn't really get used to the vertical aiming. Had a hard time actually hitting enemies that weren't on the same level as me. The graphics are really quite nice though, and I like the general idea. Also very impressive that you made this with a custom programming language.
Was a bit hard to beat but decently fun. Some in-game feedback showing what the cards do would add a lot, not just in game feel but also in helping the player know what's going on without any tutorial. I also didn't really notice when enemies were dying/getting replaced and was mainly focused on my own hand, trying to choose the optimal card. Definitely needs some polish to make things more juicy. I would've liked to see some expansion on the mechanics as well. It's pretty hard to run out of bubbles as you don't tend to draw that many high-cost cards, and all the cards are very simple. Having only three types of cards with just different values makes it feel a bit too simple to me. Some buff type cards with lasting effects or cards that synergize with other cards would be cool. Also I don't know if anyone else had this issue but a lot of the card descriptions got cut off.
Couldn't figure out what the + and - numbers at the top meant, also not being able to fire unless I was looking at an anti directly was sort of annoying - at least I think that's what was happening... the fire rate wasn't very well-indicated so I'm not sure. I love the TTGL homage though, and the controls feel quite nice. Killing antis was a little hard for me, I ended up with like 50 of em on the second stage and couldn't cull their numbers at all.
@BSanchez strange... is anyone else having trouble with the windows build? Make sure you’re just typing the word help without quotes.
@BSanchez @Keithdae I’ll check my code when I get home this afternoon. It might have to do with pragma strict. If you’ve got any ideas about why this might not work on windows, please tell me. ``` public GameObject helpText;
void Start() { StartCoroutine(UpdateC()); }
IEnumerator UpdateC() { while(true) { string inputString = “”; while(!Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Return)) { inputString += Input.inputString; yield return null; } string inpt = inputString.ToLower().Replace(“\n”,”“).Replace(“ “,””); if(inpt == “help”) { helpText.SetActive(true); } yield return null; } } ```
Pretty cool idea. Very difficult though. There are a lot of tiles and they some of them look kind of similar. I was never able to match more than 4 :\ guess I'm just not that great at memory though. I liked the art and music pretty well.
Simple, kind of fun. Also not sure about what genres are being combined here, but I think it was ok. Not sure how come my weapons just randomly change to shotgun/bomb. I expected this to be turn based but that got me killed :\ overall pretty ok though, esp. for LD. Enjoyable
can't see notes or any enemies??? in web build
Pretty fun. Wasn't sure what I was doing at first, I didn't understand that you had to click the card and then click the location to use it. It seems weird that spacebar is used to cancel using a card but also still moves you? Overall pretty fun
