What Old People Used To Do Back In The Days There Weren't Any ACs by themadprogramer 2016-09-04T23:47:00
I tried it out, and it's a really interesting idea! It's too hard though, I died 4 times :(
Good job on the game!

Good job on the game!
The art style here is beautiful :) I loved trying to figure out puzzles!
Interesting concept! It was hard to know that placing the card "worked" as well as what exactly it was effecting (not easy to see the immediate results). Given the timeframe I think you did an excellent job and have potential for a great game
Thanks for the night mode <3
The controls are a little hard to get the hang of, but I love the idea of controlling two characters that have different controls and purposes.
Great job, this game is awesome!
Once I figured out the controls, the game is pretty fun :)
The game was fun and the effects were good! I quite enjoyed it
It was hard, but still pretty fun! The graphics are pretty cute too :)
This game is super cute and sounds really good :)
I liked the puzzles, the very last monster was interesting!
5/5 would fail again :)
I really liked this game.
I love growing things, but the easiest way to not lose money is to just grow daisies!
The controls are a bit wonky but otherwise good game!
Wow, the atmosphere was really good! I found the controls unintuitive and hard to understand for a couple deaths. Automatically equipping and indicating what I had equipped would have helped significantly. I found it to be quite hard and was not able to kill a zombie no matter what I did (15 rounds). Cool game overall!
I found the controls difficult, my mouse was way too sensitive :(
This game was a lot more violent than I had expected :P
Interesting concept! There was a deep complexity surrounding your mechanics, but very little visual/auditory feedback. A tutorial will be essential for future versions. Very impressive for a first year project!
FINALLY got everything in the time limit. The triggers were against me in a few plays. I just didn't have time to grab the toast, SO many times.
This game is super cute, awesome job :)
I was doing great, one roach left. Chain reaction turns them ALL back to roaches.
I sad.
Very fun!
I love how this game looks. The concept of growing things is super fun :)
I really enjoyed this. Its easy to overlook the balance because the soul of the game is very much real. I hope you continue to work on this, it is off to a great start!
This game is very beautiful and the space beaver is adorable <3
This was so so much fun. It looks and sounds amazing, I had a difficult time stopping :P
Interesting game, with a great potential. The interface was confusing but after some time I worked my way through. I think if you streamlined your approach to this and made the game a bit faster between interactions it would excel. The mood the audio set was awesome, this could further be increased with some design and color palette! Good work!
Wow! this game was a lot of fun and I hope you keep working on it. The pixel art was great, the music was fitting and the mechanics were spot on. The controls were a little hard to stretch from z to 1-4 in the heat of the action. The story/theme seemed a little weird. I like the kid and the whale, the nazis just seemed out of place. I played this until round 9, and if I could have paused I would have been playing longer!
I like the look and sound of the game, but it loaded the instructions and then froze (twice) :(
So meta!
Awesome idea, and fun vibe. I can't wait to play a more developed version :)
I played a few times with nothing but game over, I'm not really sure what to do. It sounds pretty good though!
I couldn't get it to work at first :( I think a tutorial would be useful
I watched the video, I see now you have to click on the grid to place a piece :P
Good job overall, thanks for the update!
Interesting concept, kind of similar to ours! It didn't have any real stress or difficulty but it is a great compo entry!
I really liked the graphics and style of this game. Well done!
It was more like multiple rooms, but it was still pretty fun!
I would have liked to be able to drag to place pieces, and to have a universal delete button.
Overall, great job!
This had some great level design. The final climb was a little too challenging and I ended up giving up after a few minutes. With some polish this game will shine! Good work!
Overall, it looked really clean and simple. I liked it a lot, but I wish it was a bit faster paced.
The graphics are really nice, good work. I know there are things to do, but it really has that teenage feel of whatever :P
This was really good! The atmosphere was on point. Keep up the good work :)
Every time I hid in something it just cracked me up, A+ on the mood & graphics :)
It was difficult, but the attack was satisfying :)
Bouncing around was a lot of fun!
It was a little too slow for my liking, but overall good job :)
It took me SO long to figure out how to change weapons...
Turns out you have to buy another one first :P
Had to try this game purely because of the title... I've been playing way to much Sims lately...
Really fun, I want so much more furniture though :P
The source is interesting but the link to play is broken D:
Wow, this is really polished! I don't think it really fits theme but it doesn't need to. Keep working on the tutorial and keep the gameplay simple enough to grasp and focused enough to be fun. Look forward to seeing more
This game has huge potential! Keep it up
The graphics are nice, good job.
Interesting game, I like that it's story based :) It was fun!
The gameplay is fun, but its a bit difficult to get the hang of at first.
So far this is one of my favourite games. It was hard to stop, Really awesome, great job!
I really like the concept! Switching between was challenging and fun to have to plan it out. The interface could use some work to make it quicker to switch/move/aim the squad. Maybe keyboard shortcuts? Keep it up!
The water was really hard to catch! Make it bigger :)
Awesome work! I really like the concept and had fun playing it. If you made it feel a bit more stressful/faster/tactical or things to do (buy items/improvements comes to mind) in realtime I think it would add to the fun
Wow! The graphics were really good and the theme was on point.
Some thoughts:
- make the tutorial show existing factories and introduce players to concepts by adding a missing piece
- The keyboard shortcuts only opened but didn't close build/destroy menus
- Make it easier to see what each belt was carrying and its status (input, output, etc)
- Let the game be paused while building and experimenting with the layout
Can't wait to see what this game grows into! Great work :)
I couldn't figure out how to finish the game. Not a lot of content, but it was still pretty cute!
I really liked the turn based mechanics. Pressing x for down was unintuitive and I found myself blowing myself up twice before realizing what I had done. Good work!
