hey thanks for the comments and compliments! the criticism certainly is fair, the thing i prioritized last, besides audio obviously, was game balance. the time limit is a little ridiculous, and really, i just got used to the controls after awhile and didn't try others. definitely something to pay attention to in LD38!
I'll be posting a POST-JAM version soon with some controls improvements! Thanks for all the great feedback though guys, while I do totally understand how frustrating they are, I'm still ridiculously pleased with my first finished jam outcome and am glad it seems to be 'mostly' enjoyable;)
you, sir, are a winner for the poop.
its a pretty mellow, but 'solid' experience. good work
Was unable to run the game from the Windows download link. It launches and just recloses.
using Q/E but I couldn't serve the drinks. It's a great looking entry though!
Very excellent writing and looks really good!
It was a fun little game! I had a tiny little bit of trouble seeing what stuff was, but I did like the art overall!
I felt it started out a little clunky, the graphics are a bit rough, but it was a neat twist to change the control scheme up.
My machine wasn't quite up to snuff to run it at full FPS, but in the few bits I got out of it, I thought it was really fun and entertaining. Looks impressively great and I loved the atmosphere!
I like the concept, the farming + tetrisy gameplay, but gosh that "ERRRRRR" sound effect is jarring.
This is a gorgeous entry, very impressive. I also love your use of the them, and just the over all mood of it. Great, great work.
The idea sounds amazing, wish there were better options to play!
looks great and i love how it plays, the game itself was a bit too hard for me points wise but ehh, had fun anyway ;)
A fun entry! I love the use of the theme and I'm huge Papers Please fan as well.
As others said, feedback was missing a bit on my progress, and I had a real tough time reading some of the options... but really, this was all minor.
Very fun! Such a high amount of polish for such a short time too! Good work!
Found myself playing that a bit longer than expected, it's got a nice hook!
It's simple, but I actually really enjoyed this one. You've got a great atmosphere and used the theme well. Definitely seems like you wanted to do far more with it than you did, but at leas you got it all wrapped up and it'a great presentation! Love the control / gameplay hintson the walls.
This is a pretty impressive amount of 'completeness' here! It's fun too, though I only have a trackpad and had a hell of a time trying to rotate the pieces... but still, impressive none-the-less!
Shame, odesn't seem to open for me either. The logo pixel art looks really nice, FWIW!
Excellent game! The graphics are fittingly cozy, and the speed of the interactions just 'feels' good. I'm a fan of these little life sim / tamagotchi style games, and this was a pretty fun little one!
