As a huge fan of Papers Please!, I really enjoyed your game! Love the twist on editing the paper to make the dystopian government look good. Great music, wonderful mood as well.

My only downside was that it was hard to get feedback on whether I did something right or wrong when shipping the papers throughout the game (though the score at the end gives you that). Also some of the options were blue on transparent background and it was hard to read what I was picking. Too bad you can't change a choice either.

Overall, I really loved your game and the narrative it came with it.

Great job.

(this post was NOT edited by a journalist of Oceania... Or was it... :)

Pretty good concept. I have two main issues: a: once an edit was made, it was impossible to change it again, which means that if one was screwed up, it was impossible to fix it and b: it was hard to read the options for editing as they intersected with the newspaper text.

The other thing is that it wasn't very clear exactly what you were supposed to be doing - I thought that the point was to side with the Brotherhood, but it appears that that was not entirely the case? Essentially, the game is less fun without a clear objective.

That ending though...

Very good game. The bug where you can't see the choices very clearly is a little annoying but other than that, I enjoyed the game a lot!

Really nice!

Nice reference to 1984 !
Pretty similar to Papers Please, so I liked it a lot.
Very cool mood, good music, well thought.
That's great :)

Very nice mood, but the lack of feedback made it a bit frustrating to play. I never had the feeling I really was in control.

Graphics are really cool, and the ability to move every piece of paper adds to the engagement.

Well done!

I really liked this. Some pretty funny corrections I messed up. It's almost preferable having the drop down menu obscured by the text, as it leads to stupid mistakes. It was a bit tricky to remember things! Good job!

Interesting game but the result screen disappeared way too fast for me to actually read what it said. Got some unfortunate clipping issues with the text but considering the kind of game this is I would be surprised if everything worked perfectly in such a short amount of time =)

I assume you've played "The Westport Independent"? If you haven't I recommend that you do. It's pretty close to what you've made =)

Really nice. You should add an hint to tell the user he has to drag the newspapers into the "out" pipe because it isn't obvious at all.

Nice homage to Papers, Please and 1984. The dropdown menus need a background, it was hard to read the options.

I like 1984 setting (despite not reading it) but I have some complains:
1. After clicking edition notes, the notes overlap actual text so it's difficult to distinguish them.
2. You can't escape the reading mode with mouse. (Haven't tried ESC)
3. By the way for which country I'm actually working for? - It would be good to point that out.
4. I don't undrstand why you are allowed to edit text only once.
5. Some inidcator saying how "good" journalist you were would be helpful as well.

I enjoyed a variety of tasks and helps such as maps. What bothered me is if there is actual end to the game.

Good innovative entry.

and yes music generators are allowed :)

A fun entry! I love the use of the theme and I'm huge Papers Please fan as well.

As others said, feedback was missing a bit on my progress, and I had a real tough time reading some of the options... but really, this was all minor.

Nice. An interesting variation on Papers Please. Maybe a little too close to the original, but an impressive game jam game.

Very nice game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/anJNAp7E9kc

Not sure if it's a good use of the theme (no offense meant!) but it's a PRETTY DARN GOOD THING.
It might be reminiscent of Paper, Please, but it's its own thing, and it's very very good and well made. All the congrats to you, it's insane that you've done something so cool and so deep with so little time.
Thanks a lot.
