Nice! At first I thought it didn't work, then I understood I needed to use the bash script supplied - I am on Ubuntu together. It worked and I played. Damn, it gets really hard, but it's very very cool!

thanks! I'll add a note about that.
challenging and fun, completed in it just under one hour
Looks and plays brilliant. Love the details("comments when you try to pick up your friend for example"). The person could be a little more friendly though :D
This is wonderful! It's a good, original, fun game!
+ Cute graphics
+ Clear UI
+ Love how the homeowner stands there telling you how you're doing.
+ Great idea how some big items block the window, books need to be showing, etc. Really nice attention to detail
- No sound!
rogual, thanks! there is sound but I couldn't get it working in the web port =(
Great game. A lot of content! I liked all the little rules that you forget at first and then get better. Having a text telling you what is not working is realy a great idea. The latter levels becomme a lit hard, I will have to play again to complete them.
Nice style
I love this, great concept! Good work!
This is a great idea for the theme. I really liked the Audio an the idea of the game. Thanks! :D
Not sure why, but the windows download isn't working for me. It's literally not starting the download for whatever reason.
@Sixteen, thanks for trying. Did you try from itch.io as well? I just checked that the download works.
I cant select any level. I'm on linux
@egordorichev, left and right to choose and Z (on a qwerty keyboard, the one next to left shift if you're using a different layout) should start the level from the main menu, tested on linux. would be curious what's happening.
I love the colourscheme, and the game itself is super fun to play. Very easy and clear to understand, but pretty hard to succeed at.
Love the concept ! Really good idea, cute graphics and nice little music too :)
The only problem for me was that graphics are so small that it is often difficult to understand what it is what is wrong with its orientation/position...
But overall the best compo game I tried for the moment :) !
Really original gameplay and good us of the theme. Well done!
Wow this idea is great. I found myself playing more than expected! Nice graphic and smooth gameplay!
Well done.
Very good game, I liked it. I like the old school graphics. The music is good but a bit repetitive. The feedbacks given by the guy are great, it is easy to understand what to do.
Please do not put a Web link if you have no web version.
Can't play this game. I hear the music but no window apears
Very cute little puzzle game, good difficulty level and variety. The NPC hints and the flashing squares are great feedback so you instantly know what's wrong.
The sprites are small but readable most of the time, but it took me some time before I figured out what certain furniture look at when facing certain directions.
Awesome game ! I'm not a big fan of puzzle game, but it's really intuitive and logical, I've had a lot of fun. The only downside is the lack of sounds, otherwise, perfect game ! Good job ! :)
Really great entry! I haven't made it through all the levels, but it's fun enough that I'm probably going to come back to this one later. As many people have already pointed out, having the NPC shout out your mistakes was definitely a nice touch.
I think a good addition would be a "target moves" for each level. It'd be interesting to see if people can come up with more efficient solutions than the developer can!
A couple of the layout requirements bugged me though:
-desks needed a space free in front of them in addition to a chair. It seems a bit silly that you wouldn't be able to get at the desk from the chair!
-both fridges and lounges need an open space in front of them, but it doesn't seem like they can share this space
Good news is, you're in the compo, and I'm in the jam. Congratulations on an amazing game.
The game is very well designed and balanced, and it's incredibly user friendly. The quality is great and the duration is substantial too. I like the subtle mess with your friend feature. Well done!
@Sean: "both fridges and lounges need an open space in front of them, but it doesn't seem like they can share this space" I tested they can (easily confirmed on level 6).
As for the desk needing a space free + the chair, both sides of the desk need to be usable. There is one issue here, if the desk has a chair and a free space in front of it, but the chair blocks access to the free space, this is considered a problem when it probably shouldn't be.
Thanks for your really nice feedback! I'd really like for people to be able to share their scores so you can see how you score is compared to others.
Loved this game. Really cool idea and fun to play.
oh! Nice! Can I find it on indiexpo? I'm making videos about the games of this Jam, but only about the games hosted also on indiexpo! Tell me if you will add it, so I can include it in my next video ;)
I love it! I made a similar 'moving furniture in a house' game so just had to check it out. Very impressive, I also had never heard of the 'nim programming language' and was thrilled to learn of it from your source. All around, awesome submission.
Very nice.
Technicalities: Had some problems getting it to work as well. The OS X download is not an application, running it from the terminal didn't seem to work because asserts failed? Dunno. Resorted to the win version with wine. I thought pico8 games could be run online? But anyway …
The puzzle itself is nice once you understand it, although the way the difficulty is scaled is not particularly pleasant – just throwing 2x as many pieces of furniture every level gets dull. I stopped around level 10? 11? I wish there were additional constraints and types of objects. The 'moving objects into place' problem never seemed to really be a problem. Sure, you had to shuffle bits around in the corridor beforehand, but when there's only one thing to do, it's very obvious. Maybe I didn't get far enough though.
And the music was slightly old by the end of it, but it was still a nice track to listen to. Overall, a very enjoyable puzzle game!
@Aurel
Sorry, I'll look into the OSX version, I don't actually have a mac to test on unfortunately =(
It's not actually a pico8 game, but it looks like one.
Thanks for your useful feedback! I would have liked to spend more time on puzzle design and ordering, but I had to rush that at the end. I'd like to add more item types and restrictions too. And the objects blocking stuff was certainly underutilised and never really feels like an important part of the puzzle.
Great to have some constructive criticism thanks!
great idea, great execution, great music. Only downside - it brought back bad memories of moving house and made me realise how poorly arranged the furniture in my own flat is :/
Great idea and implementation. Sweet music. I found it pretty hard though, but I'll definitely come back and finish the later levels soon!
Great! It looked hard at first, but when I played it the next day to finish all levels it suddenly became much easier, probably because I've given up trying to make it look nice.
Great game! I love how you used pico8 colors and sfx, but worked without constraints! Must have made it easy :3
I especially like the music by the way. Got through a bunch of levels grooving on that! There was a similar game (http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-37/?action=preview&uid=64665) but I have to say I like the added "tetris" component you have!
Awesome entry!
Similar yet very different from "Was ist das für 1 Room?" It took some getting used to moving the furniture out of the way to place other items, but it was a lot of fun. I played till level 8.
Music was toned down enough to not be repetitive, graphics were very nice although for some items it was a bit hard to figure out the correct orientation (especially desk and fridge). The comments mechanic was a really nice touch to remind the player what was amiss while staying in the background and thus not breaking the flow of the game.
That this was a compo entry made this all the more impressive. Kudos!
