- The buttons in the menu only work on the left side
- I exited the map by the bottom : I went through the houses

Thank you for your feedbacks. The game is hard on purpose. I wanted to make a puzzle game in which you have to understand the game.
@samu I need to improve the way the ropes are explained. Having longer sequences may help. All the puzzles have a solution. For the blue, orange, green, I think the solution is o b b g g (you take the ropes from the middle outside).
So no one saw the end of the game? :D

@kingpirux This is a game in which you need to think :) It is strange you have problems in the second level, it is quite obvious. However, as I did the game, it may only be obvious for me. Can you explain what you did not get ? It is also hard to evaluate the concept with only 1 level complete. For the lack of information, I know there could be some improvements, but not in the first level, the rule is simple enough (you click you cut and it connects to the bottom part :) )

@g12345 I continued after the end of the compo to add some new functionalities but as it is not fair for others, I just put the new game on my website and not on the direct access.

For the level design, I quickly did a lot of levels before the end trying to use all the ropes. It was mostly random for some of them. So, I agree it is a bit boring once you understand the rules. I would have work on it.

I am happy someone actually finished the game and thank you for your feedback :)

@g12345 I have just tried the web version and it seems to have a bug which sometimes double click on the rope. I did most of my tests on the windows exe that's why I did not noticed that before. Otherwise, it is finishable (windows version, I changed no levels between the two versions). Thank you very much for pointing that out and I am sorry you got stuck. I will change the version.

At first, I did not find how to create a game. Once I figured how, I was able to play and it was fun. I guess it is even better with friends :) I have problems. Sometimes, the message boxes do not appear (or I cannot click on it) and so the game is stuck. I was forced to ctrl alt suppr to close the game. Some things I have notice:
Sometimes, skeletons get stuck at the top left hand corner
You should add more sound effets and not only with the special power (it surprised me :) )

Hi. Here are some comments to improve your game:
The transitions between day and night are too fast too fast and there is no sign. Not even from the sun. You could add a moving sun or a kind of clock
Not much to do or not explained : I went at the top of the map but except going from one fire to the other, I did know what to do
nice graphismes and character design
physic is good
It looks a lot like survivals but most of the time you have other things than just fires
No map limits : I think if you go out of the map, you arrive at the top of the map (it took me a lot of time to arrive at the top by foot)
you can do skydiving from the top :D

For a jam, it is already a good job ;) I think you wanted to try multiplayer games in your game during the jam.

Nice game. For the control, isn't it left click ? You should not use the combination Arrows/space/mouse, my hand is not big enough. When you jump, you get stuck a bit everywhere on the walls. Some animations would make the game more lively. And you should add a goal. What tools did you use (unity ?) ?

Nice game, I like the mechanisms. The music is good too. Here are some things you could improve:
- you should get stuck on the plateforme: when you arrive at the top, you automatically jump and so you cannot perform a simple jump.
- Sometimes the choreography of the plateformes is a bit slow: you have to wait for too long before being able to do anything. Moreover, try to have the plateforme arrive to you when the game begin so do not have to wait. You should be able to do everything quicker.
- the character is a bit rigid but it is ok.
- The jump of the faith at the end is funny but one may not understand it. Maybe adding an arrow would help.

I liked that you have to repair the plateformes.

I remember the first game I did for the ludum was also from scratch. I spent the entire week-end coding. Now that I am using game maker, things are easier and I can focus more on game design. But you do not have the challenge of the "from scratch". The graphism are simple but everything goes well together. The collisions with the wall are a bit too close (I can enter into the wall). For the commands, I do not have a qwerty keyboard so maybe arrows are a better idea for the moving part. You should add a menu screen, just so we do not have to launch the game again (and it would be nice ti begin the level again and not the entire game). Is there an end once you have the gun ?

It is a good try for a first compo. Here are some problems I have noticed:

Character slides and has a lot of inertia
It is not obvious you can use weapons when you walk. At first I thought I needed to stop to see the bow and then soot
first weapon is useless or I did not understand how to use it (deals no damage/no animation)
problem switch weapons, once I have the bow, I cannot go back to the first weapon, unless I press E.
Sometimes, you canh go through some sprites which were solid
sometimes I got stuck at some place, no way to escape (at the bottom of the map
do not die in holes, you can walk under the map
explain message should be located in space not in time
shaking screen (because center on character changes during the walk ?)
arrows bounce on enemies (but it is funny)
random enemy damage ?

Nice game, I love the atmosphere and the play with the light. I found the animations a bit rigid : you should make the flame move and make the character move more. I also notice it was possible to light the orbes throught the walls (where there is the first rock).

I love the graphismes and the fact that you can destroy everything. The game is well explained at the beginning, however, if you do not do exactly what is written, you get stuck. The first time I played, I destroyed everything and I had no way to get to the next level (I think I destroyed a useful rock). The goal is not obvious too. A simple message like "aliens are trying to kill us, kill them and the portal" would help.

Very good puzzle game, I loved it :) I did level 8, it was not that hard (once you get the strategy). I did a puzzle game too and most of the time, people do not take time to solve it :( Too bad. Here are some things you could improve:
- Add a button to reset the level
- More levels (because it is funnier) :D
- A score for the resolution (the less moves you use, the better it is)
- An end message (this way I would have been have to show that I did finish the game :p )

The music is just epic, I love it :) The hardest thing I found was the hole directly followed by pillars or fire, depending on how fast they arrive. You also use S for level 3 and skip, which is annoying if like me you press S multiple time to make the computer restart the level faster (yes it works , just like when I hit my keyboard to solve a bug). Using the shift key is not a good idea. I had a Windows message for pressing too often shift.

Very nice game. I like the old school graphismes and theme. Here are some points you could improve:
- For the diagonal moves, you may want to change the animation
- better collisions: As it is not a a top view but a 3/4 view (I do not know if it is the real name), there should not be collision at the head of the character. It makes sometimes thing not intuitive. The collisions for the stones (the brown thing) should be more precise.
- the bridges, and more generally places where the size fits the size of the character: I think this is how I lost most of my life. You are going to be killed by a monster and you cannot pass (You shall not pass !) because you miss the bridge. It is even more suprising because of the collision box of the character.
- Maybe you should make us lose a fix amount of HP when we touch a monster and then be invincible for 2 seconds. Sometimes, I lost 1HP, sometimes almost all my life.*
- Too many heart :p If you want one, you just need to jump from one map to the other until there is one that appears.
- A congratulation screen :D It is good to stop the game and the a full screen message, like in old games, not just the message in the box.

Voila, I hope it helps. It can even more fun if you add dungeons and weapons :)

Nice game, I liked the concept but I was not able to survive :( . For me, insanity is a bit to hard to keep. You need to be always reading because it is so slow to increase. And sometimes, it does not increase at all (I think it is when you do not sleep enough). I was also stuck once at the oxygen panel while holding a fire extinguisher. Msic would be nice also. Question: is there a way to kill rats? Sometimes I lost because I was low food but my hunger bar was fine which is strange.

Nice game. I think the ship is a bit too much slippy and becomes very quickly impossible to control. I am not sure the background is appropriate as it makes the projectiles hard to see. The fact that you cannot leaves the map is a good idea but as I do not control well my ship, it is hard to follow what's happening. It is even worst if you have to follow all projectiles because if you are close to a border, you cannot see danger arrive. You could also remove the "_" at best score :)

I tried to finish the game but it is too hard for me. Here are some improvments you can do:
-Do not put a link to a web version if you do not have one ;)
-Stop the game completely when you lose, now it is possible to continue to play a bit once you are dead
-You can be spawnkilled because you do not reset enemies.
- SOmetimes lose two lifes
- Sometimes invisible walls at the edges of cubes
- blind jumps are never a good idea: the first time you do not know what to expect
- new game with enter instead of having to use the mouse
- w to jump would be more intuitive than space
- game over screen should be fullscreen
- some stars are too fast, they pop from out of the screen and kill you
- I think you have a problem with hitboxes, sometimes I was dieing wereas I was not touching an enemy.
- the are infinite falls
- I do not see the link with the theme
- Guitar riff is a bit repetitive
- the voice for the jump is funny at first but after a while, I would prefer simple sound

I hope it helps for next time ;) I know the time is limited but sometimes simple things can improve a lot a game so keep coding :)

Even knowing what to do, the time to read (and understand, the writing is a bit special), there is not much time to actually give the weapons. Increasing this time would be good. It is a pity also there is no sound :(

This is a short game. It is possible to kill enemies quickly just by going at the top and shoot them from there.
There is a bug when you touch enemies, I think you should close the game because you have no more life. Restart is better. And the hero should be invincible for a while after being hit. The also should put an end screen at the end, even if the game is short, so we understand it is finished.
Audio is a bit agressive too.
Well done for doing it in C++, I guess you spent a lot of time just to do basic stuff :)

Very nice puzzle game, a bit repetitive after a while. Maybe you could add a restart button because I was stuck at one level and there was no possible solution. Also sometimes icons are not removed automatically from the bubble. Adding music and some noise would have made your game much better (it is not that hard or long to add some bips from sfxr for example).

Simple but good game. I liked the music. Here are some stuff you could improve:
- Put an end screen because at the end you cannot generate new waves but the counter still increases (or create and infinite number of waves by augmenting the speed of enemies)
- Write the message of the new wave once all enemies are dead
- Give some feedback when you are hit (sound/graphical) because it is hard too say when it is now.
- Make the hero invincible after being hit because if a single enemy touch you too long or if you are touched by multiple enemies, you loose too much health.
- Add noise/improve pathfinding. This is hard to do a good one but now, if you just turn around enemies, they stack in a single point and you can kill all of them at once. They also seem a bit fast when they are getting too close.

Love the game, definitively funnier than cleaning my own room :) Graphics are very nice, I liked the kangaroo in the middle of the room. Controls are very nice. Here are some things you could improve: increase the robot capabilities more smoothly: on one step I had almost nothing but I had so much money I was able to buy a lot of things and finish the game. Also, you could make the robot invincible after being hit, it case you get stuck in a corner or between two enemies.

I liked the game and the mechanics. However, I did not understand how to finish it. It is completely impossible to fill the bar because enemies keep respawning. You should have a certain score to get instead of everything (or almost, I am not sure). In the menu, it is not possible to click on option. In the pause menu, I found non intuitive the fact that the white text is not the selected one. You could also have put some effort in IA. What bots do now is just stupid :)

I liked the ambiance and the graphics. However, I had some problems with the controls and the camera. I had the impression that the character was always jumping. In fact it is very hard to control the directions. Sometimes, I also teleport somewhere else in the house and get stuck. For example, I found a woman on a bed, but I was not able to do anything. I liked the graphics and the animation. However there are some control problems. The jumps (which are the main part of the game) are quite hard to control. First, there seems to be a small delay between the time I press the key and the actual jump. Then, if you are too close to a wall, the ninja almost do not jump. When I play such a game, it is nice to keep the direction pressed, it gives more rhythm to the game. Here I had to stop, get back, jump, stop again... It is frustrating when you die because of that. I also think you have a problem with hitboxes. Sometimes, I had the feeling that the arrow just went through my head.
About music, it is fine. However, voices are annoying after some minutes because they speak too often and it is always the same thing.
Finally, the theme. There are multiple rooms. I know the background is the same, blablabla,... I think the theme is here to challenge us and force us to be creative. There are plenty of jumping ninja, you need to find a way to be special.
