Kinda hard and it took me a while to understand what was going on (even after reading the instructions).
Didn't like the fact that tab was auto-circling through the choices (and fast!) . Ok game.

Simple idea but well executed. Could have worked a little more with the looping background sound though. Well done.
I could not open the OS/X version on my Macbook Pro, (El Capitan).
Error message: "The application “4dimensions” can’t be opened."
"Unable to resolve the server's DNS address." ... :(
Well executed on a fun idea. Music is.. well improvised and has it's errors here and there but it kinda works in this alternative environment. I like it!
Excellent! What an enjoyable little game with eyes for the details. Great animations, superb selection of music (even though maybe not created by you guys). Good flow in controls. ++
Great idea, not sure that this is how my T9 worked though (pressing 0 after every single char?) . Simple in design, simple in art and sfx but hey. It def got the work done. Still it's a 3 min fun game. Nothing more...
Having made a game in the age of eleven if awesome! Congrats!! The art is very interesting, colourful and "artistic" still I don't get everything that happens on the screen and why I am supposed to shoot.
Sometimes the ball is bouncing really weird as it is something invisible in the middle of the screen. But hey, a game in a day. Great work!!!
Gameflow was good and sfx, music on par.
The game itself wasn't much of a game more than bashing the key?
Couldve been fun with some kind of a tactical move to use at certain times?
Very nice clear graphic style. As said, not complete and a bit confusing of what to do actually.
Had a good feeling at start but it somehow let you down a bit when it all felt random. Some choices couldve been remembered and impacted later on?
Came to third level.
Game made in scratch but better than many entries in here. Congrats. Art and gameplay is ok.
You shouldnt use black text when using a black background (lvl 2). Couldnt see "you died" text or STAMINA.
I went into the OSX link but there were no game there. Were you uploading a version at that time?
@conrad123 @KevKevOnFire Thank you all for your kind words! Yes, I know it's difficult. I decided to do that just because there were so little time so I created 7 levels only (all with different mechanics). I will tweak it later on to make it easier.
@BloodJohn: Yeah, that sign is just for the curious minds And the text is just mocking the player for trying ;)
@scriptorum Why dont you try fall down from top slight-right and then teleport in the mid air? you will then wind up in bottom slight-left :)
I will check all the errors. Think it's an engine thing that I will take with the engine team
Getting stuck a couple of times (wall, ceiling) and the "dash through wall" text wasn't visible fully until I dashed through the wall :)
Also using ctrl + arrow keys on OSX swaps windows which kinda is a pain. Nice graphics. Sfx what you can expect from an sfx generator.
Saying web does mean a web version. :( Couldnt play
Well done!
This is right now the most enjoyable game at this compo. Art is top-notch and definitely so music and sfx (though sfx could be gained a few db imho ). Control is fluid and I like how you've worked with dialogues, screenshaking and such.
Impressive work for 48h
Beautiful art and game. I really like the style, the mood and the simple "storytelling".
Now of course it is short but still I played it twice just to see what would happen if I didn't kill those innocent ones :) . Well executed but yeah.. maybe too short ;)
Well executed. Hard to give some advices as sometimes you dont know if its intended by design or a very weird bug :D
Had problems immediately I'm afraid. When playing in the embedded space of course scrolls the page. So I go fullscreen and controllers lock up.
After some jittering and keyboard smashing it works again but my left and right turn is way to fast. One fast click rotates almost 90 degrees.
Couldnt even enter the obelisk thing.
Like it!! You dont need more than this for a FPS to be fun. Simple art and sound but the controls feels really good. Did you do the fps controls yourself? Nice!
Game runs really good.
Unfortunately I'm alone and couldn't enjoy with many others.
Art is nice and sfx/music really works together with the rest.
Well done! (Even if theme feels really crammed in ;) )
Quite good. As Twine is kinda an engine to just do these things I have a hard time seeing that much coding in this. Design, narative and writing for sure but it's kinda a blurred line what gamedevelopment is? Ok story.
Yes, having a physics engine and playing with it is fun. You did well adding some dialogue into it (even if the ancient tech thing felt very forced).
Really nice art and sfx. The game mechanics is rather hard to understand
:D I think I've seen this game from somewhere else ;)
I actually think you could tell people that you are not the author of the game (as claimed at itch.io). You're using the exact game I am livestreaming here: https://www.livecoding.tv/setthebet/videos/jKax8-small-game-from-scratch-gui . Not even replacing art, explosions, changing stroboeffect, tweaking missile and the arcs.. I know my gameproject is publically out there on github for everyone to use but.. the whole game in the gamejam? Claiming yourself as author?
I also understand it's your first time creating a game in Defold but the engine is actually so simple so you could probably easily create this yourself. Or watch my stream and create anything similar.
Despite that... I like the dinosaurs.
@zulman : Thank you for your answer. Just a mention that the game is based on that project/my work is good enough for me. The project is open there for everyone to use. I just found it weird to be in a gamejam without any mentioning. And you are of course free to evolve the game further (that's actually appreciated) more into your own.
/A
Enemies are placed way to close to player when entering room.
Nice effect with dynamic lights.
Art is good, music not so.. could definitely be improved.
I really like incremental games like this and youve really added it into a beatiful place. Art is gorgeous and I like that it shifts like that.
Dont like the font though. Way to hard to read.
Well, the controls are very fast (especially turning). I like billboard graphics but Would like to have any other kind of reference than the enemies to see any movement.
Bullets or other indication of projectiles would be nice as well. Dont understand the ancient tech in this game?
After the nice intro I expected a little more from gameplay. Really hard turning became more of a "move into them and hope that you wind up in a good direction" game. Ok, but not more I'm afraid.
Well done!
A well polished game with a good eye on details. The way screens move in, the tutorial, the design of text etc. I really like it.
The game still somehow have that "oh I dont get what happened" feeling to it. I think it's about how the traps works and how you protect your neighbours.
Art is perfect and sound is also true to style. One of the most complete game Ive played in here so far.
Not sure that I would call it a game. Not sure you didn't even intend it to be. More like a techdemo and a test of Unity and it's features. Nevertheless well done and well executed
Well.. Controllers felt extremely jittery and weird and sometimes they didn't work at all. I know you said it was buggy... Really hard to estimate how the game was even as I couldnt start running but kept on going in a wall.
Great idea, great theme and really well done executed. Love the small comments from the people and the powerups. Could definitely be made into a bigger mobile game! Had some frustration with the angles, yes
Really like the idea and the visuals. Well done! Feels like a good limited size of a game.
Only thing I have is that "collision boxes" for holes sometimes felt a little off. Had to drag same cable to 2B 4 times before it connected (and then it was way to the left)
Me too am not sure that the bumping style of activating things really is the smoothest way. Art is really really nice! Good work. Sfx is kinda what you can expect coming out from a sfx generator, nothing special that is but does the trick. Overall feels like a nice little game
Kinda hard and basic game. I'm confused that it takes 14Mb zipped when using retro pixel art (or are you actually storing the textures in that size instead of rescaling them?) Good that you completed a game .
Nice example of an escape the room game. Art works fine, had some problems with the user interface (mouse drag, release sometimes didn't drop items in the slots). Played it though. Nice subtle tune. Good work
I'm a sucker for any kind of "incremental" game and I think you really nailed it :D . Yes the splash screen is confusing and it takes WAAAAY to long for the title to show up and then WAAAYY to long to show <spacebar>. Art is.. well coderart but it does the trick. I really like the idea and concept
?? Couldnt open the OSX version for some reason. Is given this error:
"The application “Raiders” can’t be opened."
Yes, as said before. Really hard to play due to the offset of screen/rotation/mouse.
I like the music a lot. Gives a good ambience to it. Art could get better,
Yeah well.. I'm not calling to the other side of the world. Sorry.
Nice take on a tower defence. Art is splendid and music as well. sfx is mixed too high and could be reduced a couple of dbs.
Balance of the game is probably where it would need to most work now, or maybe Im just bad
Hi it's a really good game. Well done.
Still want to point out that the use of art is totally violating the rules of Ludum Dare Compo as the wall, the mayan calender and the row of carvings are classic images easily googled. Read about derived works at: http://ludumdare.com/compo/rules/ ... still, there is no ranking so it kinda doesn't matter but You might want to know that for future participation.
Confusing, psykotic and weird. I love it!!
Well performed and created even if I cant figure out what it really is. Like the art, the animations and the time spent on small fun details (instead of an actual game :D )
