THE BOX by ReboundGames 2016-08-28T21:05:00

Don't like shifting puzzles, therefore: Thanks for making the solutions pretty easy/not many moves from the initial position.

It's a nice little game... only tried to get the word "Basilisk" once before checking which letters are actually available :p

Pen and paper by RasmusErik 2016-08-28T19:24:00

AWESOME!
I love the real recording of you using the dip and pen.
And the game itself took me back to my school time.

Thanks for making this game. :)

Get On The Horn by kadexus 2016-08-28T19:20:00

Keep it simple, stupid.
A well known principle quite well demonstrated. :)

The game is fun (even though a bit shortlived). As many of the others here I had the same problem: Realizing that I have to use the "next" button instead just typing the next digit.

The Trade Network by scriptorum 2016-08-29T05:32:00

Nice puzzle game. Took me some time to find the correct order to be able to connect everything... which is a good sign for a puzzle game.
Graphics suit the game as well. :)

Atlantis Builder by CyberStarLight 2016-08-30T15:09:00

Well done.
I couldn't rotate/scale objects with R/S when I tried, but still a nice job done. I always liked to play minecraft skybox maps, and this concept is quite similar to it. Start with nothing and build whatever you like.
So gratz for getting as far as you did creating this game. (a lot of receipes, growing cycles for the plants, etc)

Only thing which I would have liked (if you would have had time left): An ingame receipe book. :)
Otherwise it's a good proof of concept... and if I would have been able to rotate the walls, I would have spent even more time on it.

Atlantis Builder by CyberStarLight 2016-08-30T15:13:00

Ohhhh.... *restarts game* :D

Atlantis Builder by CyberStarLight 2016-08-30T15:17:00

Middle Mouse Click to harvest the piles of sand again... happened to me as well

Atlantis Builder by CyberStarLight 2016-08-30T15:29:00

*laughs* Second time now I right clicked the apple tree with the gear on and sank it in the ocean. :D
If you would have had unlimited time to finish it, this would been a game where I would waste a LOT of time. :D

Trail across Darkest Europe by draringi 2016-08-29T06:18:00

Interessting game. Reminded me a bit of Oregon/Organ Trail. :)
The missing art doesn't really hurt the gameplay. Would have liked to manage a few more options though.

Pointy Sticks and Other Amazing things by fabbyrob 2016-08-29T05:08:00

Interessting idea. Would have loved to actually see the created items used: Club/Spear -> better hunting -> more meat (or sth. like that)

Xolotl by SetTheBet 2016-08-28T19:53:00

Loved those mechanics. Even so platforming is my personal nemesis, most parts weren't too hard to master.

Good job. :)

Stone Giant by MirrorPolygons 2016-08-28T21:58:00

Well... I did walk through the level quite a while.... and didn't find the narrative and the puzzle. :S

Still the game got a nice feel to it. I like the passing of the seasons.
The Stone giant only needs a better way of transportation... checking every corner of the level takes waaay too long. :D

Decypher by fanatiko 2016-08-28T19:43:00

I agree, nice puzzle.
It would help to have the letters in a keyboard layout. (yeah i know... different layouts in different countries, but only one alphabet ^^)

The Ancient Mixtape by rujo 2016-08-28T20:36:00

Nice little game. Would like to see some restrictions on the cassette movement.
Currently it's even possible to stack cassettes with some wiggling around. ;)

But it's still a fun game.

Village Store by euske 2016-08-29T06:34:00

Inventory tetris combined with math... didn't need the math for it to be fun. :D

Well done Euske, had a blast playing it. Took a while to realize that I actually can rotate the items instead of accepting how I received them.

The Chosen One by nander 2016-08-28T21:50:00

Tried putty first, didn't work for me, neither did a random online client.
According to almighty google Putty seems only to send \r when pressing enter. Could that be the issue?

Anyways... I'm suprised to see a telnet game, and even without playing I'm already thinking: THAT'S AWESOME. :)

The Chosen One by nander 2016-08-28T22:02:00

Nope... connection mode is telnet. The game pops up and after that the game doesn't react.
The joke game works a tiny bit better by replying with "<1> was not understood"

The Chosen One by nander 2016-08-28T22:34:00

Well I was 75% through the maze at that point :D

But don't worry, I had the patience to restart the game. ^^
I like the twist at the end. The maze is crafted nicely (evil) as well.
At my first try i took all the wrong directions in the beginning first. :D

Aqueduct Architect by Multitudes22 2016-08-29T05:52:00

Well done. Would have been nice to have Buttons on the bottom for each type of segment (in addition to the keyboard binding)

Was fun to play. :)
Only issue I encountered was that the music turned itself on again after changing levels.

Egypt Cat Spirits by RayKatz 2016-08-28T21:39:00

Well... seems like I suck at rock papers scissors :D
No but really it's a fun game, even though I'm too stupid to beat the AI-cat ;)

Retro Player by justinooncx 2016-08-28T20:27:00

Nice gameplay concept... even though i saw myself pretty much avoiding the main mechanic pretty fast by placing the crosshair in the middle and moving the character around it.

But the "exploding" enemies kinda take care of that tactic as well.

Well done!

Egypt Ramps by verzoto 2016-08-28T18:50:00

Didn't see any pyramids, but still a nice short puzzle game. :)

Sometimes the boxes seem to bounce way too hard... otherwise the game is working perfectly.

The Great Escape by Mieeh 2016-08-28T19:07:00

Hehe. How many character stories did you create?
I learned again that i hate to jump over a spike while beeing on a moving platform.
Well done. :)
I will never trust ghosts, dragons and old ladies again... don't want to wake up in a nightmare of '1001 spikes' ;)

Heat Ray Defense by BoltKey 2016-08-28T20:15:00

Nice game. I like the upgrade system. :)

A bit more speed would be nice though... (but no high speed ships in ancient times ^^)

The Switch - Worker by Ghen 2016-08-28T18:39:00

Interessting game. Had quite fun for a few tries.

Only thing I noticed was, that I can reuse the same cables for every new connection (without them timing out before)... just leads to a bit of weirdness later in the game :D )

A Fox's Pottery by Pusty 2016-08-28T18:46:00

Nice short game about bumping into stuff :p

Would have liked it better to "use" the signs... triggering them over and over by accidently running into them is a little bit annoying.

Arena of Death by KunoNoOni 2016-08-29T06:03:00

Well done!
Would have appreciated a bit more interaction with the game (block, or a different kind of attack), so it doesn't play itself for the most part.
Still I had quite a bit fun with it and felt reminded of other old games. (especially the owlbear triggered some roleplaying memories ^^)

Raiders of the cursed Temple by McMutton 2016-08-28T18:53:00

Ehm yes... the skeletons need 5 hits to die (without upgrades). If you get 2 skeletons right in the beginning it's for the most times game over. (currently it's randomly generated, would need some balancing)

The shield blocks only while it's displayed, so it's a timing thing.

But most importantly: Thanks for playing. :)

Raiders of the cursed Temple by McMutton 2016-08-28T19:55:00

I'm sorry @SetTheBet
Built it with Unity, don't have an OSX device to actually test it. :S

Raiders of the cursed Temple by McMutton 2016-08-30T16:26:00

@CyberStarLight
It's the same way as you would do it with any grid-based game: Have a data model for each segment and save everything you need to know into it. And the Player just needs coordinates + Look direction.
But that's the beauty of the compo: You can look into my source code :p

WakeUpCall() by quill18 2016-08-29T07:03:00

Didn't catch a lot of the stream while making my own game, but not much to say besides:
Wow... really love the game. So much to explore. The management of energy makes the game even more intessting. :D

Circuitry by btwj_ 2016-08-28T19:16:00

Well my minecraft redstone skills didn't get me too far in this game. :D

Still interessting concept and fun to dig into the knowledge. Well done. :)
