It was fun!
Cool graphics, nice terminal, nice story. But I was unable to decypher what should I do... I tried to pick up the black squares and randomly put them down. Sometimes it worked, but then I found myself stuck between two black pieces waiting for death. Slower start would be nice, maybe with waiting for player to realize what he is doing :) And where is the One Room included?
This was actually a bit similar to our game (with the whole player rotating around a center point bit :D), but with a better gameplay. The simple art also looks quite nice.
I liked the concept a lot, the AI bot thing is pretty cool and well developed. It is a bit frustrating that once you lose data at one spot there is no way of walking through it again, it makes it a little bit too hard and sometimes you end up trapped. Nevertheless, very good job, I encourage everyone to give it a go :)
@StaNov Yeah, explaining what you do in the game has been tough. Think of it as a color match game. You start with a bunch of black squares. When a black square matches with an incoming colored square your square becomes that color and can only match with the same color. When you succeed with matching that one it resets to black. If two squares of different color, lets say green and yellow collides, they're both destroyed. If you miss one of the incoming squares (it doesn't hit one of your squares) that lane is destroyed.
What happens if A and B collides:
A = Black and B = Any Color -> A gets B's color and B disappears.
A = B -> A Becomes Black and B disappears.
A != B -> A and B disappears.
If B doesn't collide with A:
B is alone -> Lane gets destroyed.
I was planning to have an interactive tutorial but didn't have time to implement it. And the "One Room" theme kinda disappeared as I developed the game. I kind of justify it as you playing in "One Room" but I admit its a bit weak of a connection.
Cool idea! Simple but I had still had a good time playing it. What I found a bit problematic was that you can't go through black areas anymore, which sometimes traps you after a few seconds.
It takes some time to understand what's going on, but if you do, you'll definitely like it. The concept is very original, the minimalist graphics look amazing and the controls are good. The only downfall I can see is that the theme doesn't really fit with One Room, everything else is great!
really interesting puzzle and i think the art design worked really well
Interesting and well-crafted. It's a little bit hard to understand the gameplay. Anyway, good jobs!
Bahhh. I feel like my Screen is still turning and pullsing. Cool sounds and intresting game play. It was fun! Nice one.
The gameplay is fun, but its a bit difficult to get the hang of at first.
Great game, but veeery hard. Takes a good while to understand too, the in-game explanation is not all that clear. Your comment helped clear it up. I find that when a single lane gets blocked, it makes it very hard to navigate and inevitably leads to other lanes getting destroyed. A good concept overall.
That is a really pretty game! I'm impressed. It's super difficult though! two mistakes and you can get cut off from half of the playing field! It is a really cool entry though! And the first game I rate 5/5 in innovation!
Really challenging, unique game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/-Y1GOAhzfQA
