Nice! I would have been able to finish it if I wasn't so bad at typing. Super funny and charming!
An interesting alternate idea might be to make the game about deleting specific words and letters to turn the tweets into sensible, positive things.
@jhandsy Thanks! The dev cheat code to skip a level is Shift+PgUp if you're interested in hearing all the dialogue / seeing the ending :)
Now that's a really funny game. Has everything from covfefe to small fingers. Just one thing, he tweeted "Joy!" and it started nuclear war. Quite ironic and funny :joy:
Simple, but great! Love the stapler! Concept is easy, but very fun! Like it. Great pixel art.
I wasn't able to play the game to the end, because I don't have a key for ' on my keyboard... I always have to type shift+# for that and the game doesn't accept that as '...
But I really like the idea! :0) And the typing was really nice! Would it be possible to update the game so that I can play it?
This was fun, I liked that you took a really simple game mechanic and then built something entertaining around it instead of over-engineering the gameplay. Thanks for making this!
@ruerob-hyky Lemme look into that issue a bit more. You don't have the ' key or the ` key? He should only type the normal apostrophe, the one usually between the Enter key and the colon/semicolon key. Is that the key you don't have?
Either way, there's a cheat code- if you hit Shift and PgUp, you can skip through any screen if you want to see all the dialogue and the ending.

Great concept. Has potential bring joy to the hearts of many internet users if fleshed out a bit more. I would love to see it more fleshed out…
I enjoyed the references lol

This was super neat-o! Reminded me of Typing of the Dead meets old school Microsoft Office (Clippy!). Definitely failed and he sent 'covfefe' for me. Oopsies! My fault guys! I wish I had something constructive to add but I am just really impressed by this game. Awesome talent here!
The game look fine. I love that you made some voiceover.
However, I'm playing on a Canadian French keyboard and the ' isn't responding properly in your game. It would be nice if your game could support any keyboard config.
I get it though: I guess that's easier said than done...
Good job still.
@nalia1991 Hi! And thanks for playing.
First, I have to admit that I'm a dumb American who isn't very familiar with non-US keyboards. I'm having a little trouble looking up what the web keycode is for that character you've mentioned (I don't have that character on my keyboard.)
Could you go to this website really quick and tell me what keycode it suggests for when you hit that key? I'd be happy to patch it in!

This was really fun! And very thought out. One of the best scores I've given so far. I loved the stapler and that he had voice lines. Really great job there. This is a really relevant game and worked surprisingly well. Good work on this one!

That was a lot of fun to play! Cute character, nice parody of real world events, excellent art, and fun music to keep playing along! :) Adding in the cheats to jump forward was a very clever idea. Excellent game for this time restriction, keep up the great work!! :)

Really liked the humor of this game! Wish that the letter you were on was highlighted or something though...

It took me a minute to realize what was going on, but when I did I had a blast! This is a great game! I'm thankful for the 'cheat' or I would have missed all the great humor this thing had to offer.
Great Job! I think this is very well made for the time you had to complete it!
Very fun. My favorite part was "What you are doing is hurting me."

Nice game! The only thing that I didn't like was that I had to press the ~/^ key for apostrophes and the game wouldn't let me type too fast.
@dhl Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out the ' issue, which was mentioned a few times above. If you could visit http://keycode.info/ really quick and tell me what number it says when you hit your apostrophe key, I can patch it in!
Very fun, and very funny! I did not read the stapler's comments because I was concentrating on typing, though.
Hahaha, the stapler! 10/10 character. Additionally, I feel like the game also managed to convey an interesting topic, with the whole be careful about what you share online stuff.
This is the first time this Ludum Dare I've seen someone share a cheat code so everyone can make it through the game. I think it's a really cool idea. Also, the game felt incredibly polished, amazing!
Clear Russian propaganda. Get this #fakenews out of here. Bad!

Neat idea and well executed too. As was said, very polished for a jam game. Consistent graphics, fun sounds and a good challenge (though I suppose that comes down to the player's typing skills). Glad you included the cheat to advance so I could check out all the game. Sometimes the tweets didn't make much sense at all (even more than the tweets they are satirising) due to their random generation. Still, quite a bit of humour in this game, with Clippy and the newspaper headlines (the weather predicting baby was my favourite). I enjoyed playing this one. A fairly tenuous use of the theme though.
Cool pixelart :)

Funny game ! but i have a problem for typing some sign of ponctuation. the "!" and the "' " are not validate. may be bcause i have a french keyboard ? but i try with a virtual keyboard QWERTY and same things. but nice job !
I played through to the end despite my bad typing. Very amusing! I enjoyed the humorous messages on the phone, plus all of the little comments by "Stapley". Mrs Columbo says that you should hook this up to Twitter and have it actually send the tweets if people don't type it in time. However, perhaps you already did...
