The concept was really fun. Graphics were very good. The game felt very polished and I loved how you actually need to kill most ennemies to not run out of energy.
By the way, you shouldn't do those kind of bugfixe when the Ludum Dare is over... Once the deadline's passed, you don't touch anything unless it's a fatal issue that makes it impossible to finish your game. Otherwise, any polishing is kind of unfair for the other developper in the rating...
However since you havan't actually changed much, I have to say your game is pretty solid!
Wow, that was a gem! I thought the puzzle were very interesting. The concept was so simple and yet so well thought. Graphics were simple yet fit the mood perfectly. I loved those little captions.
If you were to expand your game, I'd say add some music, and an exit button: couldn't leave the game in fullscreen once I was done. But those are minor stuff considering it's a LD.
Again: amazing game!
I had a lot of trouble with your physics: it would be nice to aim with the mouse. Your music was really good. Nice concept too.
Beautiful game. I love how you built your story around the theme. Very nice graphics and music. Good job (as always actually)!
Made it to turn 30. The thing is: since there are more and more ennemies, and your less powerfull, you really do run out of power! I like the card game concept: it felt very different frow other game. Well done!
Love the visual and the concept. It's also nice that the music changes in boss phase. However, I couldn't make it past the second phase: after the first minigame: your game felt like a bullet hell, and I was already so low!
I'd had some power up, or a checkmark: the game's a bit too unforgiving.
To change color, I think you could use something else than 123: maybe space to run though color?
Still I enjoyed your game: well done!
The game look fine. I love that you made some voiceover.
However, I'm playing on a Canadian French keyboard and the ' isn't responding properly in your game. It would be nice if your game could support any keyboard config.
I get it though: I guess that's easier said than done...
Good job still.
@ddrkirbyisq You're right about the audio rating: we thought we removed it already (we do have a lot less rating in that category). For some reason it was back on. Sorry about that! Glad you enjoyed the game.
Great game! Nice graphic: simple yet well though. Amazing music too.
The level increase in difficulty and you get to learn how to play properly. The last two level were very challenging yet fair (since you have infinite life). I found myself trying over and over. I thought that the various game over message were a nice touch.
I was surprised that you'd always stick to the wall, but I actually thought it made the game kina easier: even if the time was running out, I felt I was more in control.
Some all in all, I enjoyed your game very much, it was very engaging and very polished. Well done!
The "running out of power" thing got pretty stressful: very good job on that. However, the game was really hard: I barely made it through night 0, and then died before midnight in night 1. It was very challenging. Good job.
Good job. I enojyed the concept of recharging. I felt the physic was weird though. Still, I still killed the boss!
So that was fun! I too didn't know I could hold down the spacebar too attack: it made the game near impossible to play. But I read the comments and then I finished the game.
The control were hard to get use too: they were unsual for a top down...
I like that you included the theme in your intro.
Good job on your first game, hope you had fun making it!
I enjoyed the secret message. The physic of the game felt a bit weird. Also, getting the red thingie without getting hurt was kind or hard though. Well done for your first ludum dare, keep up the good work!
Pretty good game, and considering it was your first LD, that was amazing.
I loved the music a lot. The concept was simple but quite engaging and fun (I did play two games, just to see your random world generator). The game was a bit laggy though.
But still I though it was a vare solid entry! Hope you enjoyed your Ludum Dare: it was nicely done!
Nice variety of weapon. Very nice feel to the whole game. Your game is evry hard though: I retry a few times and couldn't make it past the second level: 3 life is not enough I feel (considering your power is decreasing fast and the ennemies are faster than you). Other than that: great game, I had a lot of fun.
Music was good. The jump was too high though: physics felt kinda weird and it was hard to control the turtle. Nice little game though, I enjoyed it.
I loved the concept: it was very funny. The sound effects were very funny ant the music fits the game well too.
By the way, you can't change the balance of the game after the deadline. You cannot bugfixe. It's kind of unfair when rating, because your game seems more polished than the other (but that's because you got more time to put into it). If you want to rebalance your game, you need to do a "Post LD version", but leave your original submission for rating.
Still a enjoyed your game, it was a lot of fun, so good job!
Good job on the music and the graphics. However, the game was a bit small and with everything turning dark, it really wasn't long before I couldn't see well.
Keep on the good work!
Love the art and music. It really has a nice arcade game feel. The game is a bit repetitive though. You do have a very nice base game: keep on your good work. Considering it's your first jam, it's very good work! Hope you had fun!
Cool game. Very original theme. Neat graphics and music. Your idea felt very refreshing among all those "electricity themed" game. Good job!
Very interesting puzzle game. Simple, yet quite challenging. Ni level progression (and so much level!) Nice music too: fits with the puzzle game.
However, the mouse pointer seemed to bug in the night level: I couldn't click on the tile under my cursor: it was aiming a the tile above. It was very confusing.
Very solid entry: loved it: good puzzle!!
Nice idea. However the AI seemed a bit weird. Blue robots (my team?) were always throwing stuff at me. At first, before I actually saw any red robots, I though they were my ennemy.
I think the game would be interesting with human players only.
I though the concept was very funny. Good job on the music. I saw your comments, but I still feel it would be best if you could attack in both directions. Nice game for your first LD: hope you enjoyed it!
