I liked the graphics for this game. I thought that that character should move much faster, and the things you can break should have some form of highlighting so you know what to do.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD39 → Sabotage

I actually liked how I had no Idea what to do the first time. Only after losing a couple of times was I able to come up with a successful plan.
The game is very nice, but it would have been good to have a more satisfying end than just being greeted by a small text message.
Good job i did not quite see the running out of power theme and i didn't quite get what i was supposed to do at first but other than that great game
Fun little game. Tough, too, at least while you figure out what's going on and what to do. I like games like this where you basically figure out a plan by trying different things until you figure out what actually works.
Really nice game, fun graphics and music, which creates awesome mood. Fun to play, but tutorial would be useful, also player could walk faster or some kind of sprint would nicelly improve it.
Fun game! Nice concept, it was interesting to to find what to do!
I loved your music too! Next time, only some sound effect would be missing!
That's a nice little game! Everithing looks good. Pixel art made at the highest level and music sounds cool. It would be greate if there were sound effects. Actually I passed the game, but did not understand what the impact of equipment failure and what is the purpose of using a key. But somehow it works! =)
Wanted to try this, it looks cool, but the HTML version just comes up with a black screen.
It made me thought about Operation Jupiter on Atari ST for no other reason than the one-mission game concept with several phase. x')
You had a great idea. This was pleasant to play Sabotage. The graphics are nice and the music is good. The character is slow, but considering the game, I don't think it is a big deal. It would be frustrating if the ship was bigger, but like this it is ok.
This was really cool! It felt really tactical and awesome when you pulled it off! Art was great! Maybe could do with some sound effects for guns and stuff and, if I'm being picky, I didn't really get what breaking the power generators did but aside from that this is a really solid and fun game! Nice one!
I think I miss a tutorial, in general I really liked the idea of game that you had, the music made me hurry in the game, I really liked
Very cool idea! I liked laying the groundwork with the stealth portion and then finishing with the action.
It could use some better feedback for the player (how did sabotaging things help the assault?) and some sound effects would be nice.
Overall great job!
Really cool game. I think, it's the first LD game, that I played after completing. Really liked the idea of stealth game becoming action game.
Some audiovisual feedback would be nice. Especially for gunshots, as it's unclear which guards can hear them. Plus, guards, as far as I understand, don't follow a certain path, so it's tricky to plan something, as guards can randomly appear. And I find player movement annoyingly slow.
Nice graphics and music! The camera is a bit shaky, other than that excellent gameplay! Great Work!
I enjoyed the little puzzle this game offered. Though I'm still lost if there was a third item to pick up, to fill the final slot? I never found it.
The game was short enough to retry after a failed attempt with ease. It was a good idea to make the timer only one minute. Just enough time to get things done and prepare a nice spot for yourself.
Wish the guards hadn't been as random but with the ease of retries I mentioned it wasn't that big of a deal. Well done!
Executing your plan is tricky due to the random guard patrol routes, but once everything falls into place it feels excellent!
The guards are very effective killing machines, but the ladder became their undoing. I picked them off one at a time when they were trying to reach the top floor.
Extra observation 1: You can jump with J! (not mentioned in the description)
Extra observation 2: You can fall off into *space* by jumping over (and through) the engine outside the ship!
Solid work!
This was a nice game, really interesting to play with a good concept. Great music and cool graphics, with a good mix of stealth and action. Really liked playing it, great job!
Concept and gameplay is great. Art and sounds is really fitting well. I liked the stealth sabotage concept. You guys should explore this idea further
Wow really cool game it really benefits from being able to replay the game really fast so you can get back in really fast. Amazing graphics and nice sound track love this game.
Nice little game! I liked the game idea and mechanics, also the graphics and the audio. Controls were a bit tricky, especially entering or leaving ladders. Once the game also got stuck because some enemy died on a ladder, I couldn't pass anymore and no one else could and some person with an exclamation mark was still alive and couldn't get shot... Would be great if the game had more and later on complex ships with different tasks to do sabotage (finding/stealing different keys, solving and entering codes, get access to certain ship areas, prepare landing area for your team, organize and deposit weapons for them, etc.). Would also be cool to have a procedurally generated ship that gets more complex after a successful run. Money to steal for powerups, etc. Jeez, so many ideas pop up in my brain - seems you got a great idea here ;-) Well done and I had fun playing it several times!
I would love to see this expanded on. As is, the game is a little bare bones. Looks and sounds great tho!
Good submission!
This was a pretty rad little game. I don't quite know what breaking the generator and the other thing did, but I love the concept and enjoyed my time with the game. Dig your art style as well! Great entry!
nice style both visuals and audio, took a couple of plays to find out what to do, but all part of the charm :)
nice work, enjoyed playing it. Well done!
Loving the art and audio. Very nice entry!
