Nice game and well put together, loads of interesting mechanics in there. just wish i had a better laptop to appreciate it better. but had a good go and enjoyed it :)
nice one, like how you had a try at something different and that you put another game in the background :) well done for getting it out there in the time you had!
Not too sure what was going on there, appears to be internet based, but theres no indication to the player what is going on, when I click nothing happens. cant restart as i have to wait.
for a suggestion, more feedback to user to say what is going on.
although on a plus, the visuals are really quite nice and I like the sound of the premise. with a little more info to the player, would be good to give it another try.
fab game, really clever mechanic with the dimming lights!. and love the character sprites :) fun, easy to pick up and play, and gets harder too. well done
Fab little game, nearly got the third light and hit a mine lol. enjoyed playing it, and nailed the theme :)
nice little platformer, i liked the BG audio drums sets the mood nice. got rattled by turrets on level 2 hehe, enjoyed it.
nice work, enjoyed playing it, music and audio fits well :)
once i got my old head round what I was doing it was fine. nice little game there, had to keep trying for a good while just to get that bit further.. if you ever come back to it, it wouldnt be out of place on mobile ;)
hehe, interesting idea, nice to try and get a mental picture as i was wandering about. neat concept and enjoyed playing.
once i sorted displaying flash in the browser it was fine ;)
nice idea, im rubbish at playing rythm games, but i liked the sound and visuals, clean and sleek. found it tricky at the start to figure out when to press to move, took a few attempts to get a handle on it. all in all, really nice work :)
looks nice, i like the visual retro style. I would have a look at the wall climbing like others have said. I played for 20 minutes and almost got to the top of the first level climb.
good job and theme definitely followed :)
nice experience, loving the art and mood style you took. it all comes together nicely to set the ambience, well done!
nice one on getting it completed. i did like how when i destroyed a larger rock a smaller one instantiated.
a little progress meter would be the next little addition i would make. all in all, well done :)
still have to update the links so that we can try it out as both links dont work.
well done :) beautiful little game, one I think you should take further. just nice and relaxing to play, with the pickups adding to the music and a nice storyline along the way.
nice one, spot on loved playing it !
nice one, once i sussed out what to do i thought it was an interesting little game :) well done
nice way of putting across a great short short, well done :)
nice work cant beat a good shooter imo, enjoyed playing this. the music just sets off the pace and drama nicely :) yeah definitely take it further, nice one.
tricky little one there, edge your way or go at it full tilt :) nice little shooty platformer, enjoyed playing, well done
link just take me back to myown dropbox :(
would have been nice to see a single player, or even host a multiplayer to be able to see the environment as I couldnt find a match when I tried it. does make it impossible to rate.
nice one, rock hard but makes you come back for more :)
Nice Matt, was surprised to see the camera blur when moving, nice touch. Atmospheric, once I sussed out what to do i was baddie bashing quite happily :)
slightly darker on my old laptop, but still playable.
Nice one, funny idea had a wee chuckle :) Great job with getting the character created and animated! nicely put together game there. well done.
Cheers guys, thanks for giving it a go. Quemagalletas, yep, definitely need to improve on the end states, I should have added an explosion or something more visual. agree with the start, i should have made it so thrusting would immediately cut all that out if player already knew about it.
cheers :)
i did initially have a slight gravity on it in the early stages, but as i added the battery mechanic, I would run out quickly until i tweaked it, and forgot to put the gravity back in doh lol:)
the caves were originally narrower, as its procedural i did find that sometimes it wasnt possible to pass them, so made them bigger just to make sure it was doable.
ill revisit and see what tweaks I can do, and try and get it look and play a little nicer.
Cheers Matt ;) yeah, definitely, i fluffed up in one of my 1gameamonth ones and done exactly the same but alot longer, boring as hell sitting through it each time lol.
the minimap was down to a quick refresher scan again through your session ;)
cheers for giving it a go @ursagames :)
Yea, Sebastians tutes, just spent all day Saturday getting my head round it lol not the best idea trying to learn something like that mid weekend heh.
I might build on it down the line and add the bits n bobs and polish, and have a go and putting a FOW on it since ive never tried it, but might be a good excuse to learn how to for the next one just in case ;)
aye, i agree with you there with the map, it was always going to be corner to corner as thats the only place I could get a fixed start and end sections within a reasonable border. think i had too many pickups as well.
all in all a great learning experience and enjoying playing others games too.
cheers for the praise and feedback @xaedes :)
had a lot of fun doing this, and will definetly be doing it again, but will a little more tools at the ready next time. its amazing that feelng of "ive got all weekend ill just learn this.." then going to "oh hell, ive only got a few hours left to get x, y and z done and working, and ive still got to walk the dog, feed the kids.." heh
Ive started using LMMS to hopefully be able to flesh out some simple tunes for next time.
If theres one thing to take away from LD its I now know I CAN complete something in a short space of time if I need to, instead of having a hard drive full of incomplete little games and projects.
cheers for playing and the welcome :) yeah @peter-jonsson i forgot to disable rotation until after take off, so you could rotate and crash immediately :( one of them tweaks i just never had time to address before the end.
Cheers @kevkev-adsett and @antiwrapper, thanks for giving it a go :) yeah theres alot to improve and work on moving forward, i spent waaay too much time trying to get the procedural walls (all day saturday learning that) working sort of the way I wanted.
ive just started dabbling with audio, so ill work on that too, i should have popped a quick random pitch change in there, just to change it up.
im trying to learn how to do a simple fog of war just for something to put in the toolbox :), so might bring that into the project too.
thank you again for the feedback, much appreciated.
definitely Jake, I should have disabled rotation until thrusted away. yeah Oakus, its something ill have to look at.
cheers for giving it a go guys and the feedback :)
Cheers Sara and mactinite for giving it a try. yep definitely be addressing that if i take it further.
nice one, had a good laugh at the idea. fun game and congrats on getting it completed :)
