Wow I like a lot the art of the game and the sounds, and I understand that the physics go a little bit crazy when you do some fast movements, what about instead of following the mouse, do a position lerp, may be that could be a fix.

kamikaziuk 2017-07-31 12:30

The art is really neat. The physics must have been alot of work.

kichex 2017-08-01 05:19

The art is awesome but the physics acted really weird.

shell-pirate 2017-08-01 17:12

I found this entry pretty neat. The art style was really nice and the ominous atmospheric soundtrack did wonders for your presentation. I agree with the above people that the physics were very wacky, almost to the point of hindering gameplay in some of the later levels as I had some trouble keeping up with which plug belonged to which machine as it became a jumbled mess of cables. In that sense I guess it works just like it does in real life :D I joke, I kid. Good entry, nonetheless.

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of Puzzle game in LD, and this one is really good, especially considering the timelimit. The arms of the robots are really, nice, I even love when they glitch awfully in the last level!! The game have an excellent level of polish, with good feedbacks, a really good intro screen and really nice effects. Unfortunately on my pc the game is awfully slow, but I've seen in the video that on your pc it runs smoothly, so probably is a problem with my machine. Overall I enjoyed a lot the experience, good work for so little time, congratulations!

mmm 2017-08-05 04:42

This is well made, very good

fledgeling93 2017-08-05 06:43

Kinda too bleak for a game with childhood memories robots. Good production value overall, it's really nice of you to think about audio in this game, but I think it's kinda intimidating. That's probably not the emotion you would like to make your players feel. It's a nice entry overall, with an according theme.

caleb-reinagel 2017-08-05 07:15

Didn't love the energy of the game(:P). It would've been more enjoyable for me if it had been more upbeat. The graphics were phenomenal and I liked moving around the arms.

pnghasemi 2017-08-05 08:13

The best game I've played so far in LD. It was a little laggy on my PC but was not a deal. I beat the game and it was so much fun.

I hope you make a full game out of it and publish it successfully. I really like to see the full game. BTW, The sound effect at the end of each level was so cool. keep it.

nordtraveller 2017-08-05 08:16

Very original concept, nice graphic and not annoying sounds. I love it.

remzo 2017-08-05 10:53

Yesss! Another game with physics plugs! Great minds think alike! There was a little bit of an issue with the order I connected the bots in otherwise they would not power up but overall really cool game! The physics was a bit choppy on my crappy laptop but still managed to finish it. Nice work!

gabet-games 2017-08-05 14:10

The art of the game and execution were pretty cool, but actually the physics seemed a bit strange.

drums 2017-08-05 14:13

I thought this game was simple but very polished. Well done! It would be cool if the plugs snapped into each other to know they're connected maybe? I'm also not sure if this would be considered "running out of power", but all in all it was fun and felt smooth!

le-slo 2017-08-05 15:32

Nice art, the robot arms have cool movements. If you unplug one of the arms, it doesn't matter that the other is connected, the robot still turns off. Puzzles are simple and I'm not sure if there is much more to do with these mechanic, but you did well. The sound between level and level sound as if you have lost. The sound design is great.

multiplexor 2017-08-05 15:36

Nice! I like the atmosphere and the clunky physics! The puzzles did not feel very complicated, but enjoyable enough! Maybe adding some more constraints like the arms not being able to pass through each other would have made it more challenging and fun! Still, very good job!

Keep up the good work!

sidesplitter 2017-08-05 15:45

The art in combination with the music create a very good and lightly dark mood. The puzzles are not that detailed, but I can see that most of your time went into the physics, luckily, those work very well! I've encountered two bugs/issues however: - Whenever I put the right end of a robot in the plug, and then mash the wrong end (square-thing) into the plug as well, the robot gets unplugged, and sometimes I am unable to select the right end again, leaving me stuck. - Sometimes dragging does not work, it only moves the cable for a few pixels before releasing it.

All in all an interesting game with a lot of promise!

Summary

Cool game I liked it :)

mestrerothld 2017-08-05 15:51

Downloaded the fix version. i7, Geforce 1GB, 8GB Ram, and the performance was unplayable, surely below 5 FPS, often below 1 FPS. I have no idea why.

That said, I liked the art and mood; in the few seconds I could play the game, I enjoyed it. There is something satisfying in their glowing eyes and the crazy waving "arms". I'll check back later to see if there is another version. If you are busy and won't do it, no problem too.

Overall, despite the performance issue, I enjoyed what I saw. Complete, creative and funny. With a few more rules (and performance optimization hehe) it could become a nice small app.

silkworm-sweatshop 2017-08-05 17:16

Really cool idea! Looks and sounds great. I only wish the puzzles were a bit harder later on. Can definitely see this expanded.

igorfolz 2017-08-05 20:41

Nice graphics, i really liked it.

willdata 2017-08-06 03:14

Cool idea but there wasn't much difficulty ramp to it!

chaoseed 2017-08-06 06:41

Pretty fun! I liked the graphics, the 'bots' were cute. The audio was nice. The gameplay was a bit simplistic, but enjoyable. One thing, though; it seemed to use a lot of processing power. My computer's fans switched to a really high gear. I'm guessing that had to keep up with the cord links...I wonder if you could maybe optimize it or something. Good work, though!

aflatthrasher 2017-08-07 15:30

Really good game and a good choice for a jam. I feel like the idea wouldn't be good for a full-fledged game without more mechanics (levels would quickly start to feel the same), but for a jam, you were able to make a good variety of levels with just the minimal mechanics. So great job scoping your project. Physics was well done. Graphics and audio were awesome.

dino-jr 2017-08-07 16:25

Really good game, it's beautifull, the sounds are nice, the idea is original, the only thing is the optimisation, at least in my pc it runs like 5 fps, and is an i7 haha, but all in all it's a relly good game, congrats!!!

fran-segura 2017-08-07 16:42

Nice game! I enjoyed the graphics, sound and design. As it is now maybe it's too short and a bit easy, but you could expand the idea with more time and it could become a full commercial game. Good work!

enot487 2017-08-07 17:48

Cute models, intresting gameplay and music nicely complements the atmosphere. Very good game!

phi 2017-08-07 18:24

The physics look very nice and fun to play around with. Unfortunately, my computer didn't like it so much... It ran at about 1 FPS. From what I could see in the video, the gameplay looks quite simple, but there's nothing wrong with simple puzzles if they're nicely implemented. This one seems quite nice (although I can't judge that fairly since my hardware is very limited...) with a great mood.

wdebowicz 2017-08-07 18:40

Very relaxing game with great art. Sometimes the "hands" were blocked, but hopefully there was a button to restart a lvl.

oboshape 2017-08-07 19:15

Nice one pretty slick :) well done.

norrimo 2017-08-07 23:11

Great work. I like the idea of these connections. And the art style of these robots are also nice. :) The physic was really crazy sometimes. And I think the loading sound of the robots is too muffled. Could be higher so that you can expect a charging and not a discharge. And is it your own engine which you used?

battlecoder 2017-08-08 01:41

Love the art and sound. It had a sort of a creepy vibe that I quite liked it. Sometimes connections would not work as expected and had to re-do a couple of levels a few times because of this. The second time connections would normally work Ok.

I would have loved to have harder puzzles by the end, but given the time constraints I think it's fine. I just hope you keep working on this game post-jam adding more challenging levels. Great job!

roberto-cano 2017-08-08 19:00

Quite interesting game! I finished it to see hoe complexity was increasing. I like the atmosphere and the graphics. The game mechanics are quite simple to understand which is good, but in my opinion it doesn't build up properly. Basically all levels are equally easy (for me at least). One minor thing that could help is to have the plugs 'snap' with each other to improve the game feel. Good game anyway!

shess 2017-08-10 18:26

So simple, yet so infatuating. And it was made in a day, give or take a few hours? Unbelievable. The graphics and shading are impeccable. Loved it.

jemsmith 2017-08-12 11:54

Really fun puzzle mechanics, and great graphics and atmosphere! I felt like the physics cables could've used some work (mainly in their floaty gravity), but I really enjoyed the puzzle mechanic that I saw emerging. It feels like there's quite a lot you could do with this.

urbanhelsing 2017-08-13 14:41

Yes there were some bugs but I guess they were fixed in the postjam version. Fun gameplay but too easy (to me at least). Some new features are probably required or larger levels. You could also do this in 2D, top down view, allowing much larger levels. Nice graphics!

strigifo 2017-08-14 09:49

Nice entry and fun idea. I didn't realise you were entering the Jam, I've seen some of your content on YouTube before.

snirp 2017-08-15 06:41

Must say, I liked it a lot. Has real potential. My gtx 660m struggled a bit but overall a good experience. I can see something like this being quite popular.

valphera 2017-08-15 23:01

Freakin cool! Liked the idea, i've seen many games with this plugging mecanic but none in 3D and none with so good puzzles, nice level design, cool art syle, great job!

junber 2017-08-17 01:15

Great game. Audio and visuals were amazing (even though my laptop had a hard time trying to maintain a sufficient performance). Even more generally the game felt extremely polished with the start/title screen deserving a special mention. My only real complaint is that the levels were too easy but that was probably intentional and is an understandable decision especially with the way a lot of people play LD games. Also I needed to restart a level (I think it was level 5) once because a plug for some reason got stuck in another robots head and I couldn't pick it up again.
