The way you control the ship is interesting (and difficult). The overall gameplay is fun, but I think it has a problem: once you lose one or two "powers", you have no way of recovering. Nice entry!

I absolutely love your game page background and the pixel art within your game is attractive as well. The colours really make this game pop aesthetic wise. The music has a nice choice of instruments; a bit wandery, but hey, it fits with the "space" vibe pretty well. :P
Personally I find the controls a bit unintuitive, especially since the game seems to start with the expectation that you'd master the controls right away! I also found it difficult to tell which side I was supposed to be shooting with. However, I really like the idea of defending something that, when destroyed, makes you less powerful. That is a good interpretation of the theme. If the controls were based more on the player's perception of direction rather than a move forward/backward/steer scheme, it might have been more fun to play again. At least on a keyboard...you mentioned "joystick" so I'm not sure if this is supposed to be compatible with a controller. Anyways, good stuff.
Hello @eric-florio, thank you for the reply.
You mentioned that you have no way of recovering, but every 3 waves the powers are reseted and you get all 4 back again! Also, the game is about difficult and hardcore players haha. Best regards, Edwin.
Hey @random-storykeeper, thank you for the reply, i really appreciated that you love the art.
I was a bit lazy and did not put a tutorial, sorry for that. Also, the controls were based on the classic asteroids game, the idea was really old school arcade kind of movement. Best regards, Edwin.
A mouse aim would be 1000 times better.
Hi @greepybrainsdev, thank you for your feedback. I'll consider it in a future release. Best regards, Edwin.
@eric-florio, @random-storykeeper, @greepybrainsdev, thank you for all your advices, the game controls has been updated, so it flows better.
I really did the overall mood and colors in your game. Oh boy! the game is a lot better with the new controls, nice improvement Well done, @edwingamedev
@bakudas, thank you, I'm glad you liked the game. Best regards, Edwin.
Too easy! I got 800 points at lane 28 and QUITs the game, because I feel too bored. Otherside (and aside the shooting annoying sound effect) this would be a good game. The graphics are nice!
Hello @fl, i see your point here, at the beginning the game was too hard, nobody could survive more than 40 seconds, so i changed the controls and it became a lot more easy. Now i have to balance the game again to make it feels nice. About the sound effects, it was my first time ever making it, i still know nothing and have a lot to learn. Anyway, thank you for your feedback! Best regards, Edwin.
Really like the game. I echo some statements about the dificulty, but i understand its meant to take multiple plays to get the hang of it. Really liked the use of the theme, the graphics and the mouth noises =D. Great job!
congrats for your first game jam. This a really good and fun game. I loooooved the sound effect: psssiewww...
I survived for 306 seconds, 11 waves, with a score of 480.
This is pretty good, the controls feel tight and the underlying mechanic is solid. I kind of wish the different coloured power orbs signified a different type of power, though. Speed, damage, shield, regen, for example.
The art style is cute, but I had some trouble seeing what the front side of my ship was. The white front windshield (for lack of a better name) and the yellow engine lights make it a little symmetrical, front-to-back. The health bar on the sides does help a bit in that regard, but that's UI saving the day where design could do the work isn't the way to go.
The music is nice, and the sound effects are fun.
Did I read in the comments correctly that you changed the controls post-compo, though? I'm hesitant to score the game if this isn't the actual LD version, you see.
Overall, good job!
Hey @rdm, thank you i'm glad that you liked the game, play test is still needed as you can see balancing a game is really hard work haha So you liked my mouth' noises LOL this was the best way i found to make the sfx i wanted haha. Best regards, Edwin.
Hello @bombjack, thank you, this was my first experience doing something from scratch all by myself, including audio files, really hard work, i'm glad that you liked it. LOL mouth' sounds rocks! Best regards, Edwin.
Oh hey @flaterectomy, i'm glad to see you here. The colors really could been more interesting, that's a nice idea, I'll consider it in a next release. I'm sorry for my bad UI, I'm still learning it, I really enjoyed your feedback, I'll try to make it more consistent next time. It was my first time making sounds and it was really hard, I'm happy that you liked it. And yes, the controls have been changed, that's my first jam, I did not know about that, thanks for the warning. I put a link to the original version too. Best regards, Edwin.
What can I say, I kinda like the sound (When you don't have a time you do something like that). Control was pretty responsive. The only part that confused me is when you destroy a ship, it drops an energy. And your bullets can't go thru it. So, I was thinking that this is a kind of space garbage that makes the game harder. And most of part the game I was just flying around it.
Hey @iceking, thanks! About the energy that's really my bad, i was too lazy to fix that. I'll do it soon. Thanks for your feedback. Best regards, Edwin.
Haha! I've played your game in a two player mode! haha! one player has controlled the mouse and the other wasd haha! that was fun! :0) Thank you for your game! :0) The sounds and music and the graphics were nice!

Nice job! Controls are much better in the post-jam version. I think it'd be nice if the orbs were less generic... like it was a space station with people inside or something.
This was a really nice game! Good polish and stuff!
I guess the gameplay itself was fairly samey, you could do with varying it up a bit, maybe with weapon upgrades or larger boss enemys or something but other than that I enjoyed it! Great art!
@ruerob-hyky, Wow it looks like fun, I hope you had a great experience. Thanks you. Best regards, Edwin.
Hey @jotson, thank you! It is a nice idea, I was thinking of something like that, but nothing came into my mind at the time. Best regards, Edwin.
Hello @mickeyg, thank you, i had the same feeling, i must add some stuff to make it not repetitive. Best regards, Edwin.
Love the art and music. It really has a nice arcade game feel. The game is a bit repetitive though. You do have a very nice base game: keep on your good work. Considering it's your first jam, it's very good work! Hope you had fun!
Hey @nalia1991, thank you, it was really a challenge! I'm thinking in adding more enemies and stuff to make it more fun, thanks for your feedback! Best regards, Edwin.
Cool! Gameplay is solid. I found the controls pretty awkward in the original version; the mouse controls are definitely an improvement so good work there. I wasn't sure why there were 4 different orbs - some kind of unique effects when losing a particular orb might make things a bit more interesting & force the player to develop more of a strategy. Still it was pretty fun, nice work!
Hi @adhesion, thank you for your feedback! Everyone who played the original version told me to change the controls, so i did it and it was a great thing, i did not realized that when i was developing. About the orbs, i think it is a great idea of unique ability to every single one of them, i will consider it in a future release. Thank You, best regards, Edwin.
Sweet little game, was a bit too hard in 1.0 version, but now it's pretty balanced for its concept. The power banks are more of a classic life units, really, but I guess the theme still checks out.
Hey @shess, thank you! About the power banks, they are not the main thing of "running out of power" theme, but the idea of as you losing them, your ship becomes weaker. Best regards, Edwin.
Liked the gameplay, great sounds. Game looked really polished. Good job!
You've beautiful graphisms and a very good sound design. At first I was about to complain about game unplayable on azerty keyboard, but arrows keys are usable, so perfect ;-).
Awesome sound design!! The graphics are really good too, the flow is excellent, I had a great time!
I played both version and agree that it is easier with mouse aiming. Graphics looks really good and music too, good job on that, since you said you were a beginner on audio.
I would have liked that you'd go a little bit further on powers, like some enemies that aim a particular color, or that each color would act on the spaceship characteristics. Just suggestions but it would have been nice!
Good game overall!
Cool graphics it looks really polished. I wish game had more choices on how to kill enemies. The lack of choice in the game made it too simple but I still enjoyed the game very much! Thank you for the game!
@neweichgames, thank you i'm glad that you enjoyed the game! Best regards, Edwin.
Hey @sebbernery, I really had not worried about this kind of keyboard, thanks for pointing this out to me, I'll take this into account in my games from now on. Thank you for your feedback. Best regards, Edwin.
@esokishi, thank you, I'm really happy that you had a great time. Best regards, Edwin.
Hi @kiirohanabi, I appreciate your suggestion, i'll take it in consideration, it is really a nice idea, i'm already imagining what i could do about it, Thank you! Best regards, Edwin.
Hello @mrerdalural, thank you! I'll make more kind of enemies to make the game less repetitive and more fun. Best regards, Edwin.
Pretty fun, the art was pretty good, would have liked a fullscreen button to be able to see it better actually.music was sort of quite good, but did drive me a bit crazy after a while. Would recommend bfxr for generating quick Sound fx next time, especially for retro arcade style. The mouth made ones never quite fit imo. Congrats on your first game jam. Good job.
@automatonvx, OMG, thank you for pointing out BFXR, i had no idea how to make sfx, and now it looks a lot more easier! I'll work on the fullscreen option ASAP. Thanks for the advice! Best regards, Edwin.
The mouth sfx I found kind of funny myself. But having to circle around the four 'balls' is rather weird, and it doesn't mesh well with the mouse-fired directions and absolute wasd movement.
** Each energy means a different power ** * Pink = Energy shield Ability * Cyan = Side bullets * Yellow = Super speed * Green = Fast regeneration ability
Hey @foodzilla, thank you for your feedback, i changed collision at version 2.0, now you can fly over the orbs, but bullets still can't. Best regards, Edwin.
The original game is pretty hard, and I definitely agree that the newer controls make a lot more sense. Overall, it's a pretty solid arcade-type game: it looks good, the music is good (although the sound effects are a bit... interesting) and it is relatively fun.
However, it appears that resetting is broken: whenever I try to restart, the game seems to start on the wave that I lost on, which is Wave 3.
Hey @themonsterfromthedeep, thank you for your reply, i'm glad that you enjoyed the game. Thanks for point the reset bug, i'll fix it as soon as possible. Best regards, Edwin.
I can't control myself, i already fixed it and uploaded a new version (2.0.3) @themonsterfromthedeep
You did a great game congratulations.
@lamm, thank you, i'm happy that you liked the game. Best regards, Edwin.
Great man, for your first jam ! My first one was not better than yours, even my current one (2nd) is not better. The graphics are beautiful, the audio is fan-tas-tic ! Good game ! ****(4/5)overall****
Thanks @belga54, i'm glad that you liked the game. I'm still updating it until it became pretty solid and a awesome game. Thanks for feedback. Best regards, Edwin.
I dug the graphics. They were nice and colorful and worked pretty well for a game jam entry. The music wasn't bad, but also it wasn't particularly interesting either. The sound effects were quite charming, however. The gameplay was pretty fun and for the most part worked perfectly well. I particularly enjoyed that you had different types of enemies. I'd say the only major thing I'd work on is game feel (I suggest watching the Vlabeer Games video on this subject). I also didn't quite enjoy how your bullets could collide with your power cores. I feel like if you want to have it like that you should make the power cores solid so you can't just pass through them (it doesn't make much sense for your bullets to be stopped by them, but not you yourself). I might just be nitpicking of course. Overall, solid work!
Hello @shell-pirate, i really appreciated your feedback. I'll work on the game feel, and thanks for sharing the video with me, i guess you are talking about this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U About the bullets i still don't know what beviour is the best for the game, because i don't want the player to just sit around and use the mouse to aim and kill enemys, with collision on the center it kind of makes the player to move to seek the enemys, but someone said that it wasn't good to have to rotate around the center for all the gameplay, so i made the player to transpass the middle collision but the bullets don't so it could avoid the player's behaviour i said first, but i'll make my research and play test to make everything flows better. Thank you for reply. Best regards, Edwin.
I didn't realize I was playing the updated version at first, but I went back to the original version and in a weird way I kind of enjoyed the original controls more than the updated. Don't get me wrong, the the original controls felt a whole lot harder and clunky at first, but it does feel a little bit more fun and smooth once you are used to it compared to standard wasd movement.
The general concept is nice and could be pretty fun if more is added to the game but it is a nice base. Good entry!
Hey @kantieno thanks for the feedback! I know what you are talking about, i still like the original controls. I'm still working on more content to the game, slowly i'm adding more stuff like enemys and different kind of behaviours, i still have to add a tutorial and more feedback. Best regards, Edwin.
This game is really good but there seems to be a lack of a difficulty curve. The game music and audio is amazing. Great job.
The game is very simple and effective, and I like the graphics, also simple but very charming! That's some very solid work, good job!
Nice work here! Gameplay-wise it's pretty simple, though I don't like the tank-like controls very much, it feels, to me, that a twin-stick-like control scheme would work better here.
The presentation is really nice and I did really like the pixel art here, as well as the work on sounds and music, as they both blend in a really good way! ;)
Good job here! Good Luck also! ;)
Hey @brickkid512, thank you for the feedback! I'm still trying to balance the game, it need more and more play tests, but i try to do so every update. Best regards, Edwin.
Hello @brazmogu, thank you for the kind words. Best regards, Edwin.
Hi @yuigoto, thank you for the reply! I don't know if you played the post jam version, but the controls have changed early on at version 1.1, they are pretty similar to the one you talked about, absulute WASD and mouse aiming. Anyway, i really appreciated that you liked my pixel art and sounds, i'm learning everyday. Best regards, Edwin.
