Really cute and fun game and a nice concept. I had a bit of a hard time with the inverted y-axis mouse control, would be nice to have an option to have it non-inverted!

@korfi Thanks for the feedback! I did actually implement an option to invert them (listed under Menu -> Controls in the game), but turns out it was broken in the initial release due to sharing the input button with something with something else. I've added an update 1.0.1 where you can invert these controls with "I" and updated the web build with this.
I gave it a second try now with the inverted mouse controls and it was much more enjoyable for me, haha!
I managed to complete the game, the grappling hook took some getting used to. I probably cheesed the last level by going back to the starting platform to jump and collect fuel.
Overall it was really nice, as I stated in my first comment! Great visuals and nice controls. I also liked the way you did the first person controller with the mouse, it really made it feel like I was floating in space.
The movement mechanics is SO fun to play around with! The fact that I struggled with the last level and still enjoyed doing it multiple times proves it. Maybe I'm just a big fan of grappling-hook based games (which I don't see often), but I very enjoyed playing this one!
Cool concepts, the movement was cool to mess around with once I inverted the mouse :)
I got pretty addicted to the grapple in this! Lots of fun!
This was really cool!! It was refreshing to see a space game actually play with 3D space like this! And thank you so, so much for enabling the invert mouse control command, the first time I tried it was pretty rough (my brain doesn't work like that, heh) until I saw that you put that in there - thank you, swapping that control made all the difference and it was really fun! Great entry :)
Changing the invert was key for me. Really enjoyed playing, although im kinda dizzy now XD.
I thought this was pretty cool. Love the music and pixel title screen. Felt like if I missed the target I would be lost for ever. Good job.
The art, audio and gameplay all come together to form something MESMERIZING. I had a blast with this and would love to see it developed into a full game!
Very fun game, nice music and an interesting concept.
Good game, good job.
This is not for me. The grappling hook mechanic quickly annoyed me. I ended up making round trips to launch from the starting platform. However the graphics and audio looks very polished for a solo 72h game. The reset button should be further away from other keys so you don't accidentally hit it.
OK, that's a lot of fun! The grip mechanic is really good. At first I thought the grip and the grapple kind of overlapped in purpose a bit, but then as the game got more complex, they started working together nicely for me. After floundering around for a long time in the last level, seem to have hit upon the same strategy as others - use the grip to launch myself at the things I want to get, then use grapple to slingshot around a lava block and return to the starting point.
Nice work. I was confused to understand how to jump and The last level is really hard.
Very good work, loved the atmosphere coming from your game! It looks very polished and I think that the game's concept has a great potential :D The grip mecanic is really interesting, and the grappling hook too, but I would have love it to have more maniability, as it make the two last levels sometimes hard to play when you start yo-yoing all around the level. The level design is also great, and that's great that you managed to make so many levels during the three days! Excellent job, great game :D
Cool 6DOF game. The UI for the grapple going red/green to let you know when it can be used is a great touch. It was fun to fly around on the end of the rope. The text is fantastic, with the sound effect it makes it seem way more exciting than just appearing. Good job.
Nice entry, will definitly play it again with the inverted Y mouse axis. Maybe make this the default? Is there a reason for not having it as default?
I couldn't beat the last level, I didn't think of the trick to keep going back to the start to jump.
But I love this game, I probably spent more than 10 minutes playing it. The music is nice, the star background is nice, it was just too much fun flying around with the grapple. And it made me think of "Ender's Game". The enemy's gate is down.
But I wish I could see the crazy loopy trail I must have made while flying around the last level. Maybe I'll rip this off for the next jam and add that.
very fun game really nice atmosphere and music
I think maybe it's too tricky to recover from a mistake in some of the later levels, it can end up feeling very "restart spam" heavy
but overall I really loved it. the writing was fun and a nice touch too
Due to my motion sickness with 3d games, I've only played a few levels, but what I saw was a well done 3d game setting in space, where you can move and look at and grapple in all directions. Well done!
Very fun game with well implemented mechanics! I stuck through to the last level and I really like how you've elevated the mechanics to their fullest extreme by the last level. Nicely done!
Losing your sence of direction is so wacky and this game does it so well. I would play for longer if I didn't get motion sickness cause this was so much fun.
The movement mechanics in this are great. The rope gives just the right amount of control and gripping surfaces is very responsive and tight!
Bouncing could be a wonderful addition but the health mechanic ruined it for me: grabbing the blue orbs requires too much precision even with their huge hitbox, they're limited, and without them bouncing just restarts the level.
This was the most fun I have had with a jam game so far! Really liked the controls and nice job with the tutorial.
Pretty fun. I felt like the WASD controls did become obsolete pretty quickly though, once the lava stuff gets introduced. Grappling precisely was also really hard, the final level felt like it just took too long.
Loved this! Felt out of control in a good way, I was always scrambling to catch myself after a risky launch. Tough enough that I couldn't finish it (bailed after level 5) but I enjoyed my time with it. Great work!
This is a really fun game, with some beautiful graphics. The controls are surprisingly easy to get the hang of, especially once you turn off the Y-axis inversion. The platforming is really tricky at times, due to the danger of just flinging yourself off into space, and by Level 5 I was struggling to get my head round it and had to give up. I think I'm just too reluctant to try bouncing off the lava, even with all the health orbs.
This is a really fun and immersive experience, though, and I'd love to see more of it!
Wow, quite original entry. Bad, that I discovered Y-invention only in the end, need to replay it again later  Gameplay mechanic is challenging but interesting, art and music are solid
Really fun game! Couldn't get past level 6 but the rest of the game was pretty fun to go through. The only main gripe I have with the setup for the gameplay is that sometimes it can get pretty disorienting, even with the camera rotation, but otherwise this is a very solid jam game. Great job introducing the mechanics too!
Wow this is really cool! I love the last level the most! It's pretty difficult, but super satisfying to pull off! Great job on the music too, it's very nice. Fantastic entry.
Graphics pretty well. Music is nice too. My only issue was that the gameplay can get pretty disorienting, even with the camera rotation.
A nice original idea. I appreciate that you had an option to invert mouse.
The graphics and sound goes well in hand, and suits the aesthetic of your game, made feel like playing a 4k version of a commodore game.
My recomendation would be on controls, maybe more options to speed up or slow down the graping, I have the feeling that this one plays very well with a controller.
oh man I wish the mouse was inverted I would've spent so much time on this. The looks and sound of the game are great. Controls and feel are really clunky and unintuitive.
Great game! Everything fits together nicely and the mechanics are really well thought out. It was fun to play.
Interesting and fun to play concept! Pleasant and atmospheric music and sound effects. Nice abstract graphics. Cool and slightly hard to control physics. Reminds me of Swarm game for VR.
Some remarks: 1. Sometimes it feels like fuel give you nothing instead of giving charge, so it feels like game lacks of indication of amount of fuel/charges left. 2. That was more comfortable to play after mouse inversion.
Hope this remarks will be helpful.
Cool entry!
Very interesting mechanics. This has a lot of potential. Not sure I've ever had this feeling of floating in space so well represented. With pitch and yaw controls and everything.
I really like the idea overall! The feeling of gripping to a platform, looking where you want to go, then shooting at it was a lot of fun. Fighting to regain control, was not as fun. The sounds work really well with the mechanics. (although the music's lead synth can feel a little over-done, over the long play time).
I think the level design could be improved.
Sorry to say I gave up at level 6 because I had spent a lot of time grinding to get the cells. Shooting from the platform to get a cell, and then swinging widely to get back around to the platform, to shoot back off at a cell, and repeat until I could gather every cell. Then when I just needed to reach the warp, but messed up and flew off into space.
Maybe I missed it, but is there a way to just STOP momentum IN SPACE, or to pull yourself directly to your grapple point? I could probably live without a space-brake if I could choose to pull myself right to the surface of my grapple (maybe combine both, let me brake as long as I'm grappled?). Some more air control while grappled would also be nice. I only suggest things like this when I love an idea THAT much that it inspires me. Sorry if it seems too critical.
I dig the simple cell shaded look on the blocks. Everything looks good aesthetically. The purple warp thing is a little weird, not sure what it's supposed to be, but I understand it's the goal, so good job there.
Overall a very good entry! Good job!
Damn, I really really like this game! Seems really polished any nice. With all the dialog and introduction to the game, option to skip text and all. The only thing bothering me was the inverted mouse. Good job!
