Very nice game! Was a bit gloomy at the end but still overall i liked the game!
The game was pretty good however I feel as though the game is a tad boring but overall the game is very well done I just think there needs to be better mechanics and it would be amazing other than that good work on your entry!
Overall a good game Great job!
Its a great concept but keeping them together is hard due to the fact that say there is a platform on the right to get to that you have to jump to get to. It means you have to press A+D Then very quickly press D
Overall the game was pretty solid I liked the mechanics a lot and the audio wasn't too bad either I think the only point of critique I could give is that of the graphics but it still wasn't that bad just if there was anything I would recommend to improve on
How.
The game was awesome, Great Idea for a game! The only real improvements I could suggest is maybe procedural generation as well some better audio and graphics but still really well done the game is very fun and has interesting mechanics Good work!
Good Game (Although not my type of game at all)!
Great Game , funny as hell good work!
I actually had a lot of fun playing the game! (even though it was a little on the short side) Good job!
Great game! Could do with some innovative gameplay but I still think its a great entry
The game is really well done I like the mechanics (Just a note though the player kept freezing for me not quite sure why though) , Overall really well done some background music would be nice but I think the ambient sounds also fit nice as well Great work!
Sorry I had to fix a big (Hence me taking down the Linux and Mac versions I'll add them back within the hour sorry about that)
Its good~ but It feels not very finished and I was unsure on what to do but overall good job on your submission just need a bit of polish and more clear instructions.
@intXparts Although none of the sounds were produced me thanks~ (I'll add credits soon)
@DragonZBW (SparkLight Games) Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I did actually want to change the floor but never got the chance to~ I was also going to make the camera follow the player but due to the floor texture bugging out I couldn't do it but I'm going to be updating the game soon so thanks for the feedback (I'll also look into bullets or Muzzle flash animation)
@Givit Game Studios Thanks I'm glad you liked it
@Amine Tcherak Thanks glad you liked it :)
@AWOL I actually didn't have time to add a projectile to the game or though I am planning on doing so when I update the game so thanks for the feedback!
@nervous.composers Yeah I'm planning on adding more Enemies and weapons to help make the game more exciting just didn't have the time :) Thanks for the feedback!
@JK5000 Ahh Thanks for the feedback I'll look into the bug~
@Culpo Glad you liked the game! (There are 5 Possible endings to the game although some are quite hard to achieve)
@gonutz I added a 32 Bit Version sorry about that~ (Its also not named Windows.zip lol)
@gonutz That might be a bug but yes it should be possible to get a different ending other than 'normal end' Yeah unfortunately I didn't get enough time to implement any algorithms for the pathfinding and movement I'm going to continue work and probably add A* and a better AI to make the game better aswell as more enemy types thanks for the feedback though :)
Very clever mechanic you can even place the ground in a way that there is a gap but you can still roll over it only real suggestion is maybe to give a bit more movement control but I understand if you like it the way it is overall very good game~ Good Job!
I Really liked the presentation of the story at the start aswell as it telling you the controls through it rather than in a menu although I'd say the controls are bit to velocity / floaty based to really hit anything and dying seems to happen a bit too easly but the jam entry was very good! Keep it up :)
Of course my feedback would to be add music / sound but the game was very well made and the mechanics are good~ So Good job and keep it up!
it says "I WON" so I guess I did it yayyy! I enjoyed the game at the start it was a bit confusing but I quickly got the hang of it even without the graphics it was fun my only suggestion like others have said would be up arrow to give the previous command.
Also in CMD there is the ability to update a line of text constantly so you could write the resources and update them at the top although with how things are structured with your game this may be hard to do
Overall very good game keep the great work up!
I actually really liked the graphics and the game is highly addictive great job! (I can't even really think of a flaw)
I want to start by saying overall it was a great game! The mechanics were solid all I would say is firstly it could of used some more background music it felt a bit empty at times and also it took a really long time to get into 'combat' due to the limitations of the movement but the game was well constructed.
This game is really good~ Well done the customization is a good motivation for playing although its hard to unlock the next levels but other than that very good :)
The game is quite hard but I really like it! Animations and graphics all fit together nicely and the level design wasn't too bad either - Keep up the good work!
**Pros:** - Very nice mechanics that make the game interesting to play. (With ones added along like the buttons and walls) - The progression of difficulty makes it easy for the player to learn the mechanics. - Quite a large amount of levels that could easily be expanded.
**Feedback (Kinda nit-picks):** - Add more levels in the future - Maybe use a star system to show how well the player did in the level for completing the level within certain times eg: 30 seconds is 1 star , 20 seconds 2 star , 10 seconds 3 star and it could vary for level? (Because you don't know if 30 seconds for a hard level is good or bad)
**Conclusion:** - Overall a well rounded game with a good puzzle aspect with quite a few level's that vary in difficulty with some of the last ones being quite hard to solve. This is a good entry to LD! Well done~
**Pros:** - Simple to play - Portable (Can be played on anything) - The idea of the different items/upgrades on timers is a pretty cool idea, instead of them all just going on 'per second' or 'per clicks' or something like that. - The game in the background was a cool idea but I'm not going to put too much into that as it was a past LD game.
**Cons/Improvements:** - Need of balancing (eg: the price for 'Horse Power' needs to go up more or the amount it gives you should decrease) - Graphics? Each of the upgrades / items to buy has just a blank box next to it I feel there should at the very least be some representation of them. - A interactive element? as mentioned the game in the background was cool but it would be better if there was a element that was more interactive and relates to the game / money itself.
**Conclusion:** - A solid foundation to what could be a great game with some balancing and added features, good work on your LD39 Jam entry.I wanted to just add that for a Jam entry it isn't bad and I understand a lot more would of been done with longer time to do so!
(PSA: I'm not sure if its bugged but there is no audio so I would recommend removing your entry from the ratings on the Audio section)
**Pros:** - The concept of the game is Amazing! the idea of losing power over time kinda makes you need to 'speedrun' the levels which is a cool concept to have. - The idea of some bullets stopping when you stop is a cool concept in 2D and reminds me a lot of Superhot. - The levels slowly introduce new ideas which means the learning curve isn't too harsh on the player.
**Cons:** - The game could use extra levels (although is purely a time constraint problem). - The game could benefit from some background music to help add some atmosphere as well as SFX to give some sense of space.
**Possible Bugs:** - On the second level if you travel fast enough when the skull shoots you can hit the light bulb while the 'bullet' hits you and not die - When completing all of the levels the game gets suck on the same random level 'seed = !rnd,1,0.266895' and seems to get suck on that.
**Conclusion:** Overall a great concept and good submission and with further tweaks to work out the bugs and improve the game-play it would be amazing at its current state its still a lot of fun but could use some improvements!
A really solid game , I enjoyed the art quite a bit and thought the opening and ending scenes were really good~ combat felt good and there was a large variety of weapons which was a big plus as you weren't shooting with the same weapon 24/7.
The only really comments I could make is maybe add some sort of collectible or currency like coins or something? Or maybe have ammo deplete? Also the enemy pathfinding was sometimes a little strange or they would just fall on top of you.
Apart from this I'd say the game is well rounded and solid , good job!
**Pros:** - Interesting take on the theme of running out of power. - Art and mood are very well done and both compliment each other well. - The game is quite simplistic in a good sense that its easy to pick up and get hooked.
**Cons:** - Maybe make the game a little harder? Personally I found it quite easy to go on for a long stretch of time or maybe add some obstacles you have to try and jump over or something similar? - Hand cramps (Lmao)
**Conclusion:** Overall a well rounded game , that could use with a few improvements here and there but is a solid submission and a job well done!
@logicon211 - The lock in mechanic was due to the fact I wanted to create path finding for the enemies and a aggro system but didn't have enough time to finish it. - Night fall dosen't really have any purpose at the moment as it bugged out , but it was meant to be used to disable the solar panels and enemies would spawn more but it was a 'lost' feature due to time constraints
Thanks for the constructive feedback!
@blueman Thanks for the feedback , I'll try and Improve on it in the futre~ Thanks for playing!
**Pros:** - I LOVE the lighting in the game , very well done on that it adds a lot of atmosphere to the game! - The overall concept of the game is good and a very addictive one at that. - The art is simplistic but works well and works in tandem with the lighting to really set a mood. - The addition of the concept of the uber wave made what could be a somewhat mundane repetitive game-play loop more entertaining.
**Cons:** - Maybe add some sort of background music to help round of the atmosphere of the game? - A high-score text letting you know what was the best score so you have something to aim for and beat. - Maybe add a few varying waves similar to Uber waves to mix things up a little. - Add a fire rate limit to the weapon? I feel like I can just spam at and angle and kill everything quick so by adding a fire rate it may encourage people to aim instead of spam but it depends on what your intention was (Subjective).
**Conclusion:** A well rounded and fun game that with a few extra tweaks could make it even better , but for the time constraints its an amazing entry so well done!
**Pros:** - Combat feels solid. - The game being easily repeatable makes it highly addictive to keep trying to get a higher score. - Art was well done and it was easy to see just by eye the things 'I shouldn't hit' - It was overall a fun experience playing over and over to get a high score!
**Cons (I understand a lot of these weren't implemented due to time):** - The game is quite hard (Although I found this enjoyable maybe consider adding difficulty's) - SFX became quite annoying quick (Maybe have a slider to turn it down or disable it?) - The Power / Health bar at the bottom on a rare occasion would block the enemy from being seen which makes things a little difficult. - The game could do with maybe listing the high score while playing to help you aim for it? (This is a rather nit-pick con though)
**Bug?:** - When I tried to exit the game on the main menu with 'Escape' the game seemed to 'hang' and become unresponsive and I had to close it with task manager.
**Conclusion:** A solid game with nice graphics and good music combined with rather solid gameplay. Especially considering this was done during the Compo version of the Game Jam this is extremely well done! Good Job!
Overall a really good game , took me a little while to get the hang of what was going on but once I got it I really enjoyed playing it.Overall a solid submission the only bit of feedback I could give would probably to add some more 'depth' to game by maybe adding more cards and make the menu look a bit better. However both of those are extremely 'nit-pick' comments! Anyways good job, awesome game!
**Pros:** - The games graphics fit very well together and easy on the eyes good job there! - The games mechanics are simple but effective in hooking the player in to continue playing over and over. - The music and lighting do a good job of setting the mood and setting in a theme of panic.
**Cons:** - You should be able to see the high-score while you play the game as it helps to make the player reach for the goal while playing. (I know its displayed but I couldn't see it while playing) - Sometimes the dying from the traps feels a little harsh due to the vision range being so small it would be nice if it was a tad larger (When at its smallest)
**Conclusion:** - The game is a very solid game and is a well above average entry to Ludum dare , besides a few minor tweaks I think should be added the game doesn't have any major flaws. Job well done!
The story was really good, there is a couple bits of feedback I'd like to give: 1.) The dialogue seems to 'lag' out the game slightly. 2.) Maybe have the game have some influence on dialogue or ending? Other than these two points I thought the game was overall really well made , it had a good atmosphere to it especially near the end, I was actually kind of disappointed when it ended! It would of been nice to have a better understanding of the world but , the fact its left on a cliffhanger of sorts works to the games advantage.
Overall a solid game , with a few minor recommendations great job!
**Pros:** - The art is amazing as well as shader work? at-least I think its shaders the way the water was done was extremely good and left a really calming sensation. - The ambient sounds matched up really well with the art/modelling and atmosphere of the overall game and did a good job of setting the mood. - The controls weren't too difficult to grasp unlike most games involving boats and water.
**Cons:** - The game was quite short and could do with some extra levels/ more content. - The games scenery could be quite repetitive at times. - One of the lights in the game was ultra bright and could do with being dimmed (its a square light towards the end)
**Conclusion:** The game is a great atmospheric experience and a extremely soothing one , however it could do with some tweaks and more game-play related aspects in order to reach its full potential and fit the theme more.Overall great job though!
**Pros:** - Art is well done and fits with game quite well, especially the parallax effect is done well. - The game is simple and easy to understand allowing the player to get right into it.
**Cons:** - Add a high-score indicator so there is something to beat for replay value. - Maybe add some enemies as the game-play can feel quite repetitive after playing for 2 Minute+ - Add some background music or ambient noise so it isn't just SFX.
**Conclusion:** The game has a solid foundation but could use a little tweaking and improving to reach its full potential, but never the less a good submission!
**Pros:** - The game is quite fluid , movement feels good and the shaking from attacking gives a sense of power. - The concept is a interesting one, basic but a clever one. - Although most of the art is simple and basic it all fits together nicely and doesn't take away from the game-play at all and complements it well.
**Cons:** - Often buildings would end up on 0 Scrap so there would be no point in killing them as you would be at a net loss of scrap , however you have to or they bump you to death. This leaves you with no scrap and then the next building along kills you. - No Audio this was probably due to time limitation so I understand but it would be nice to have it included
**Conclusion:** The game is basic but a lot of fun and with a few tweaks and adjustments it would be even better! Overall a good job well done~
