Monster Apparel by Cosmologicon 2015-08-31T11:42:00
Very different concept, I liked it though.

Very different concept, I liked it though.
Interesting take on the theme.
Interesting perspective but I couldn't really see what was going on since the camera was so far away from all the action.
Fun game! Really want to know your implementation of the building destruction.
Like the concept but needs some more content.
Nice idea!
I like the graphics and idea. Would be greeat to see the final game.
After scratching endless amounts of cards I finally figured out why :D
Interesting perspective, like the graphics!
Nice different take on the theme :D
I never knew the cookie monster was a frog. Thanks for giving me this knowledge. Also nice idea. Physics working well too.
Decent graphics but the controls could be improved. Maybe when the character moves left it stays left?
Great graphics and the controls work well!
Amazing you managed this game in just 72 hours!
Scary clown D:
:D Thanks for the comment!
I really want to work on this more. More maps and maybe more content to multiplayer!
@gv1351 Thanks :3
@Brainfreezeman @ChrisFagan @Slashee the cow @parsia, thanks for the comments!
@Slashee the Cow, Well done for finding out how to defeat the big guy! :D
I was hoping someone would comment and explain how to beat it.
@SKT Thanks hope you enjoyed it! Sorry about the long loading times. It could be because of the file size as well, there's quite a few assets with the build.
@Chris Olsen, finally, someone who shares the same interest as me. Sitting on heads.
@Joror, Damn 1000 souls? More than I ever got [I didn't have much time to play it]
Yep could be the physics stack slowing everything down... I literally didn't have enough time to optimise it much ):, thinking back I should have destroyed the arrows after a time frame and maybe set a limit to the number of possible enemies spawned at a time.
Apologies for the double post, but if you have time check out the timelapse of me making Demon Dash! https://youtu.be/zJzi_YRE_iY
@iossif @Obvious_San Thanks for the comments! Glad you like the art, took me a while to get it satisfactory ):
Make sure you guys check out the timelapse I made!
@Tweedle, Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. What would you like to see more of? More maps? New mode? :D
Also forgot to mention that the link to the timelapse video is in the description!
@Pantoufle Thanks for the comment! Apologies about the multiplayer mode, I realise it's a little buggy. Literally learn't and implemented Unity 5 Networking in the last day.
More maps?? Okay :D, although you'll have to wait until after the judging ends. I don't think I can edit the game anymore.
@grywhittl Thanks!
@Team Klappermann Yep, WASD are the only keys to play, You can double tap A/D to dash in those directions as well. Glad you enjoyed the game/demo!
@dmcfarline :D Hope you enjoyed it! You managed to find the idea behind the game, just endlessly killing the solidiers. There's no winner or loser.
@n8b Thanks for the feedback! I noticed the game does freeze when too many entities have been spawned, there's no real optimisation for that at the moment. Although one could be to limit or destroy the entities after a certain time frame.
What a cute little monster :D
Nice take on the theme! Good polish but still a few bugs. (I managed to spawn an infinite number of spike traps by wave 2 somehow)
Amazing graphics and gameplay was nice! Although it was quite laggy for me.
Wasn't really sure what was going on but I like the customisable character!
The rainbow text was trippy and hard to read close up, reading from afar was slightly easier. Maybe a solid font colour on a contrasting background would be easier to read.
As for the gameplay, it was unclear at first and the player feedback was lacking. Some particle effects on damage or even some sound effects would have worked nicely with this game. Hope my feedback helps!
Nice music but I found it difficult to stab those cubes in the back with the controls.
Spyro meets flappy duck? :D nice game.
Great music!
There's something strangely satisfying about this game... Maybe it's destroying the penguins by just clicking on them?
Like the idea!
Very well executed and i'm glad someone else went for a puzzle game too!
I can see this playing on a mobile device too.
Wow that was an interesting puzzle game, very well done.
Graphics need to be tweaked a bit, maybe you forgot to change the filter mode? The controls and movement in general are unresponsive but it's a good start! Otherwise great idea, keep it up.
Rather easy but looks nice!
Looks amazing, would love to know how you achieved this effect. Gameplay was slightly short but I can see where you spent all your time!
@Juaxix I mean the graphical style, are the shadows real-time? Looks great nevertheless!
Very well polished even without the sound! The ranged weapons were a little buggy though. Also a charge bar would have worked well with the ranged weapons.
Very well made. Would be fun if I could launch multiple blocks!
Amazing you managed to learn all that within 48 hours. Looks great but guards didn't spawn for me either.
The background really distracts me which I suspect was intentional. Good effects and graphics.
Looks and plays amazingly, didn't get a chance to test multiplayer but let me know if you decide to greenlight it!
Wow thanks for all the great comments! I wish I had more time to add more levels and gameplay mechanics such as crystals to refract the ray.
Just to clarify, regarding the theme, I used mirrors as the technology of choice.
So sorry I couldn't add more levels! Thanks for all the encouragement everyone, i'll definitely consider adding more levels.
Regarding those that can't run the WebGL version, i'll look into making a Windows and Android Build now.
Thanks for all the comments everyone!
@Jupter_Hadley Wow thanks for adding it to your playlist! I've added the link to the description.
@blubberquark @fundamental.phantom I definitely spent a lot of my time working the aesthetics of the game. The mechanic was down within a few hours but was very buggy so I spent some more time fixing and optimising the code.
I've never written a post mortem before but i'll sure give it a go! Any tips for a noobie? (:
Interesting design and love the art. Would work well on mobile too.
Wow looks amazing and it plays very well! The moving camera disoriented me slightly though. Very well done.
Wow such a polished game in such a short amount of time!
Stuck with the theme but I never managed to smash the explorer! Is there an end cause?
Great game! Difficulty level is just right. Looks and sounds are amazing.
The second part with the spawning goblins was way too difficult! Got swarmed within a minute. That said I did manage to complete the level!
Fun little adventure game.
Very interesting game and the atmosphere fits the game very well. Good work.
Love the idea but I wouldn't say it's a technology and I feel there needs to be a English translated version as it's pretty difficult to memorise the characters and learn the mechanics that goes with them.
@tppr2046 Hey thanks for letting me know, will check it out now.
Nice graphics, gameplay needs some more content and the values need to be tweaked! 15k bricks would take hours to achieve.
Very interesting, I actually learn't something playing your game.
Love the graphics and ambience. Nice modern twist on the theme!
Nice educational game, everybody poops.
Is there a end point to the game? I managed to gain over 1000 points but nothing particular changed since the start of the game.
Damn that tested my memory. Fun and interesting concept!
Very well polished game! Great graphics but the stations/resource areas could be highlighted to make them stand out from the rest of the map.
Love the idea and execution is good!
The idea definitely fits the theme. However, I feel like there needs to be some sort of tutorial.
Controls were different to what i'm used to but it made things interesting.
Looks and sounds great too!
Haha nice game! Had lots of fun playing it. The music and lava had me panicking quite a bit.
Looks great and love the puzzles! The car puzzle took me the longest to complete.
Wow amazing you managed to complete this in just 3 days. Looks great and I like the 2 player option.
Great simulation but not much of a game. Keep up the good work.
Looks great and story is interesting eventhough it seemed mostly linear.
Controls well and looks nice!
Love the art but when you run out of funds you have to refresh the game, maybe have it so that you can resell the items for a % of the buy value?
Interesting take on the theme! Looks great but was hard to understand at first.
Amazing, you managed to get so much done in the time you had. Do you have a link to your stream? I missed it this time but i'll get in on it next time you're streaming!
Few improvements i'd like to suggest are have an option to select a unit without it being in your camera view and i didn't manage to scroll up but was able to scroll left, right and down.
@Archonthewizard
Hey thanks for linking me your stream. Ah I see, another option I can suggest is to use arrow keys to move the camera?
Really nice game, difficulty level is just right. If you ever work on this more, add upgrades!
Looks nice but game needs a small tutorial. It's difficult to know what's going on without the description.
Looks great but it felt like the controls were getting stuck. I'd jump wouldn't be able to move anywhere. Although I suspect this was intentional.
A little too much text for my liking but the gameplay is great. I had some trouble with hydration management though and there's a bug with sleeping.
If you sleep once you don't have to wait for the bar to fill up again.
There seems to be some rendering issues but I understand what you were trying to achieve here!
My mouse is broken now, thanks.
Very addicting and smart UI!
Love the art style and gameplay is good, nice take on the theme!
Great concept but it was difficult to play with no option to delete or move the bones after placing them. I managed to miss-click with "add bone" selected and as a result, it had the effect of disabling the gameplay buttons.
Love the art and gameplay is interesting. Hope to see it finished soon!
I don't know what I was doing or how this relates to the theme but it was fun smashing everything to bits as a dinosaur in the modern age.
Damn that was difficult. Great idea and execution.
Yay mirrors! I did something similar using mirrors too!
Very well made and love the graphics.
Tough game! The start button isn't really required and would improve the experience a lot more. Keep up the good work!
Shame i'd like to play but I don't know a word of french. Let me know when you've translated it!
Fun idea and plays nice!
