Cool game and graphics)

panicthefirst 2016-08-30 14:19

Looks nice and the animations are nice, too. Didn't really run smooth and the character texture didn't load. But besides that it's a funny little game. :)

juaxix 2016-08-30 16:35

@Xakkar: thanks.
@PanicTheFirst: looks like Unity 5.4 webGL is still in beta, it wont allo web builds anymore though

pickensincorporated 2016-08-30 21:53

By far the best aesthetics of any entry I've played yet. Cute animations too. The text scroll was a bit too slow, and the controls were a little janky, but great job.

juaxix 2016-08-31 09:43

@Pickens: thanks :)

hackingroelz 2016-08-31 16:34

Graphically, this was definitely the best game I've played. The texture for the player character didn't seem to load though, but outside of that it was pretty amazing for such short amount of time. Good job! :D

runvs 2016-08-31 16:45

That is a very nice entry! Well done! The game has very nice graphics, the animations and particle effects are also great. I also like the level design. In the webgl build there had been no music, which would have made the game even better!

urielgamedev 2016-08-31 18:10

Nice game ! The graphics are really awesome, all the elements look nice together and I like the choice of a 3D isometric environment a lot ! I'd love to see more of that :)

frump 2016-08-31 21:30

Cool game. That's an impressive amount of art to have finished for a jam.

mooncalf 2016-09-01 03:19

Great work on the art and fx. The player texture didn't seem to load.

I was able to play the first level but was unable to complete it, I am not sure why.

juaxix 2016-09-01 09:07

@Hackingroelz wow, thanks :) yeah, the texture bug is an Unity webgl thing i dont know how to fix yet (shader probably), that doesnt happen in Windows version though
@runvs yeah, i like your attitude ;)
@urielgamedev isometric for the win man!, murrr turretttz!!
@Frump yeah, i have a lot of help,which is nice :)
@mooncalf yes, it's because an engine bug, cant really know how to fix yet but i'll do. you have to avoid projectiles and hit all the turrets to destruction!

robert_steiner 2016-09-01 09:54

Pretty.

william_edwards 2016-09-01 12:05

Lovely graphics! Are they stock?

It wasn't possible to fall off the blocks?

When you render an isometric platformer, its an excellent opportunity to play with distance, so blocks that appear to be adjacent are actually on different levels etc...

juaxix 2016-09-01 12:56

@Boberro: you pretty :P
@Will Edwards: most of them yes, interesting idea, the fall can be an added obstacle, thanks :) And the different levels yeah, like the parallax effect ,right? good one!

geckoo1337 2016-09-01 14:33

Really impressive work. A solid entry. I would like to see more. Thanks ++

oskardevelopment 2016-09-01 15:17

Cool graphics and sounds! Had problems with the texture and I couldn't figure out what button to use to destroy the turrets (thought it was to run through and hack the terminal, though apparantly I could only do that after I destroyed the turrets?).

gipzo 2016-09-01 18:53

Great look, but the gameolay is a bit too primitive and you can't loose in the game, because you don't have any helath ponits or anything. So it could be better.

juaxix 2016-09-01 20:34

@Gipzo : yes, it's kinda primitive because you control a robot that is awaking to a new hardware and it's learning to control it ;) You actually can die in the game, but only if you don't avoid the turret's projectiles, you know, one must first know the game before making statements, you are a gamedev,or try-to-be gamedev, lol. Of course, to be able to die, you have health points,just like the turrets have, but they are hidden,in expense of improving the meta-game ,to have a minimal impact ,zen-like interface. Summarizing, if the game was better you would have to pay to play XD ah,and i did it myself not with a team ;)

juaxix 2016-09-01 20:35

@Geckoo1337 Thanks! :)
@oskardevelopment there is no much music there XD ,there are only a few sounds, like i said before, webgl is unity beta so, it's buggy. Try windows version to see texture.

randomhuman 2016-09-01 23:40

I could only play the WebGL version unfortunately, so I guess I wasn't seeing this at its best. Any chance of a MacOS build?

cartoonjenn 2016-09-02 01:59

Looks great!

avalanche-games 2016-09-02 02:03

Looks amazing, would love to know how you achieved this effect. Gameplay was slightly short but I can see where you spent all your time!

juaxix 2016-09-02 09:09

@randomhuman yes, I've added a Mac and a Linux version
@GamerJenn ty
@Avalanche Games what effect?, mostly, Post-FX filters

mitya1234 2016-09-02 10:17

Graphics are cool and i think that mouse shooting will be great for your game

juaxix 2016-09-02 11:32

@mitya1234 can you explain that better please?

randomhuman 2016-09-02 12:18

@juaxix A much better experience, thank you! I think what @mitya1234 is saying is that the aiming should be done with the mouse, rather than the current auto aiming that is there, it would just up the challenge a bit. The other thing it needs is a UI showing your remaining health, because I had no idea how well or badly I was doing! It's a fun, good looking game anyway.

tygrak 2016-09-02 20:53

Wow the game looks real good! The gameplay has a lot of work to be done and its really short (almost all ld games are), but I have to say the game looks really good.

tonynogo 2016-09-02 21:05

Graphics are incredible! Very nice work!

avalanche-games 2016-09-02 22:15

@Juaxix I mean the graphical style, are the shadows real-time? Looks great nevertheless!

linus123xbb 2016-09-02 22:55

Incredible graphics and very neat game in general, it was not running smooth for me for some reason though, I got like 5 fps.

xesenix 2016-09-04 21:37

Great graphics but you need to work on optimization this game crashed my computer 2 times i would say it probably because number of lights that particle effects add to scene it is usually not an good idea to throw light with every projectile. Also controls why o why did you choose ctrl as shot trigger and not mouse when it must be used to target towers... Model and animations are best i have seen in ludum dare did you make them during ludum dare or did you had some ready assets? I dont want to risk 3rd PC crash so in end i killed all but last tower.
