Wonderful.
The atmosphere is amazing, nice music, and interesting story.
I can't for the life of me figure out what to do after (spoiler alert) the forest is set on fire. Aside from that, this game is one of the most beautiful games I have ever seen, period. The music is also stellar. I just wish you could walk a little faster and that there was maybe some clue as to what I can do about those spikes. I mean, maybe I'm just steewwpid but I tried clicking on everything I could think of. I would like to see the rest of the game though.
@richard-bunn @amarcu Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
@dragonzbw Thank you so much! Really appreciate your comment. We're aware some things might not be immediately obvious. For that part, the wizard is clearly too old and weak to cross those spikes. But who isn't? Think back to what you've interacted with so far ;) Let us know how it goes!
The artwork in this is fantastic and the characters are well thought out! It took me a little bit at the start to figure out what to do and when I did figure it out I thought it was a neat mechanic. (spoiler alert) I got stuck right after the above mentioned spikes.
The graphics and audio for this game were amazing! They set up the mood and tone really well, and were absolutely gorgeous. However, I found the gameplay a bit tedious; I'd recommend increasing movement speed, or adding a run option, as walking across a flat of ground got boring pretty quickly.
The graphics and music are so beautiful that I really really want to be able to play this game all the way through, but I also can't figure out what to do about the spikes. I would keep trying, but the walking speed is so slow that it's far too frustrating. Every time I get an idea to try something new, then I have to spend too long walking from one side of the map to the other, only to learn that my new idea didn't solve the puzzle. If you could produce a version with a faster walking speed, I'd love to play it. I just can't justify walking back and forth across the map (seven times already). It's a shame that I can't enjoy it.
Wow... honestly the best submission that I have seen so far. The graphics and music are absolutely amazing which come together to create an amazing atmosphere. I was unable to get past the area past the spikes as I didn't really know where to go but up until then I was stunned. Such a masterpiece!
Those screenshots alone are just effin' beautiful.
Very interesting art design and music, I'm impressed!
Love the game! I am definitely stuck after (spoiler!) meeting with saito. I am flying around but no way to go back or interact with stuff. Am I missing something?
Extremely atmospheric.
Very good art and sound, amazing!
I really enjoyed that experience. The mood and music were incredible. I enjoyed the slow walking because the rest of it was done so nicely. I was very confused at the end though. I think I beat (?) it. I'll be vague so as to not give anything away, but I got past the spikes and talked to the guy, saw the metal thing and moved around for a little bit. Then I clicked the thing and there was a fiery explosion. Then it went back to the red location and the lights turned out, leaving a face that looked sort of like General Zurg from Toy Story 2. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiR3Kbb1rfVAhXDKiYKHf8pBHgQjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fdisney.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FEmperor_Zurg&psig=AFQjCNGaKnbHLf2s9-_c3dSiOT0aMFunqw&ust=1501733322066779
Suggestions: Did it say you were supposed to click on things? Because I walked all the way right, talked to the guy, then all the way back left twice before figuring out that I had to click on the lever while being near it. Maybe I'm just dense, but knowing what was expected of me at the beginning would have been nice.
Bugs: Nothing. Nicely done!
Overwhelming art, graphics and music alike. Sure the progress is a bit slow, but if you leave for a moment the frenetic Ludum Dare game-playing rate and take it easy you won't regret.
Absolutely beautiful! Most jam games you can't tell who's a pro and who's an amateur. Anyone who can pump out striking art like that (especially so quickly) should absolutely be doing this professionally. I had the same problem as others where I wasn't sure what to do at the very end, but I thought how the ability to transition into birds in the first place was hinted at well and very intuitive.
Beautiful game. I really enjoyed the artwork and the mood of the experience.
Wow, I'm blown away by how good the visuals and sounds are with such a short time period to make it. Gameplay-wise though, it can be a bit frustrating if you aren't sure what to do at any given time, because that involves a lot of walking around trying to click things. The slow walking speed makes all the backtracking and searching around pretty tedious after the spell of the fantastic art and atmosphere wears off!
added to my list of games to play when my finger's have recovered.. Love the first screenshot!
Absolutely beautiful game with both amazing visuals and audio! The movement was tedious however, but not so much to make me quit. The setting and overall mood was great though.
I love the music and the art, sometimes it remind me the art of Moebius. Otherwise, I think the movement is too slow and it can be a problem at the beginning to hook the player.
The game looks so nice. it seems it must have an engaging storyline. The art was great, the music was good, and the gameplay was a little slow. for example after scene one, I was managing not to go so far from my house. cuz then I had to walk slowly back. I would have loved if the character could sprint or at least walk faster. But overall it was cool. wish your group success.
Hi, Kapricorn Media!
I finished your game. Guys, you are awesome! I like your art so much! :)
Here is my rates and explanation:
Carried by art, your general gameplay is not really intuitive. But a wires connection moment was good :3 It's a bit uncomfortable that I can not return into wizard body in a moment. I needed to return after connection of all the wires.
Really not intuitive was when I needed to burn down Saito. It's not intuitive so much, that I was close to the thought that it's an undone part. First my action - I tried to fly in a tunnel above the head with red eyes. Intensively tried a few times until was completely sure that it's blocked.
Nothing really new in gameplay mechanics, but I can not mark you less then 3 on this graph with such a great graphics, guys XD You graphics, setting and plot have an element of innovation in itself.
The theme supported by the plot and it was done greatly.
Indisputable 5. This is awesome. You guys, have a great professional artists in your team. And all of this was done in 72 hours? Oh my...
What I can say? Everything is awesome. Guys, I had goosebumps! On a jam game! It's just awesome.
This game have kind of an atmosphere with a light taste of humor in the dialogs with the parrot. But generally your game not supports the humor graph. And I think it's great.
Mood is awesome. Setting + sound and music design is awesome. This combination looks great. I want, to mark your game 5, but can not because game design not completely match your art and sound. But anyway it's an awesome job.
Game is awesome, lacks game design decisions a little bit.
But this graphics! Oh my... It's super awesome!
Visually striking, you have very nice art direction for this game. I like that you tried to tell the story while leaving much unsaid---it added a sort of mystery. It wasn't all that clear what I had to do in the final sequence, but I managed to figure it out by accident after flying around for a while. All the elements you have here make for a very nice atmosphere.
A good entry overall, keep it up!
Wow! It's amazing!! Very-very-very! Great atmosphere, art and music! I fell in love with the first seconds of gameplay))
Impressive artwork and sound! Unfortunately I got stuck in a bug after talking to Saito. I really hope you will get to fix it as I am really curious about the rest of the story.
This was amazing! Thanks for making a great game!
I have one word for you sir: WOW!
This is amazing! Great job really enjoyed it =)
I really, really loved you game. Art n audio are amazing.
So great! Missing things could get frustrating at times because the walking was slow, but all of the puzzles that were implemented were fun and interesting to solve. Plus the graphics and audio are just so well done and thought out.
Awesome mood in this game, amazing audio and graphics(just beautiful). Although walk speed is a definitelly too slow, adding running or increasing speed of walk would definitelly make this game more enjoyable. Good Job!
Wonderful visuals and audio, feels like a really quality game.
We streamed your game with Danae plays on Twitch. :) Here's a link:

This game is quite pretty and feels polished. It tells a part of a story, but its gameplay is somewhat lackluster. It feels like it could easily be an animated movie instead of a game. There is of course a lot of potential – the animal capturing mechanic, while not unique, can easily be used to implement all sorts of puzzles. The story can lead the protagonist to a variety of locations, etc etc. The very first thing I would probably do differently, while not requiring that much more work, is to make the "walks" more interesting – stray from the "horizontal line" format, make the player a bit faster, make them climb ladders and move vertically to create a less obviously linear experience. The story can be linear while feeling compelling if you just add little tid-bits of dialogue here and there when the player interacts with whatever is on their path.
Just my two cents :) Good job with the game!
WoW!! Awersome game! I love the audio and everything!!
Maybe the character is a little slow :p
Very nice job! And only in 72h :o It's impressive!
I really enjoy play your game
This was a great little experience. The art style I found to be quite unique and very eye catching, and the music was excellent. The overall theme, setting and narrative of the game are also very original and is a fresh take on some things that you see recycled endlessly. Awesome job man, kudos!
Interesting story and well made visuals. But can't understand what I have to do when I met Saito.
I beat the game, I only wished it were longer so I could enjoy more beautiful art. The game is really pretty, but I'd like to highlight the Ludum Dare intro screen. It's one of those things that didn't need to be done, yet was added to the game, and I think that shows alot of heart and care went into making this entry. Good job!
Wow, really impressive visuals :D Nice job!
I have been doing a lets play series of the best LD 39 games and Saito's Transgression was in my last video. Check it out if you're keen! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leyij7MhOGA&feature=youtu.be
Oh wait, did I kill him? :frowning: but I... just touched him. Oh well, Another ending I'll probably never understand but I enjoyed it a lot. And can you give that old man a scooter, please? Aside from the story, The art was epic and the music was great. The game mechanics was fun too (I wanted to possess more creatures :smiling_imp:). Overall, I want the rest of the story now... or was that the end?
A pleasant audiovisual experience. Movement was a bit slow for my liking, though, and got a bit tedious towards the end after I mistakenly backtracked twice.
You have been featured on today's LUDUM DARE TO BELIEVE! Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy62ewJ72UQ
Lovely game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztP-p00QMyo
