LD39 — Running out of Power

Lights Escape by Antiwrapper 2017-08-11T12:21:40Z

I like the lights going out concept. It gets really tricky if it goes black!

Out of Power by Piotrek 2017-08-17T22:25:18Z

Using static is a neat idea for visualizing losing power, nice.

House of the Rising Sun by shide 2017-08-05T12:31:02Z

This really tricky! Once one of my resources go red, the panic begins as I start skimming over components trying to determine which one is going to prevent me from failing. It took me a while to realize I could only build the resource collection stations after removing a solar panel. The sun's face is great (also the solar flares are a nice visual touch), and I love the hamster farm and generator :D Nice job! The resource supply balance concept is super cool, it reminded me of Evil Genius' energy management component for some reason.

Blocks of Power by mortus 2017-08-01T21:34:51Z

This is awesome! The part assembly aspect is super cool and reminds me of Mind Rover. I really like how WASD operates the thrusters based on their orientation, at first I was a bit confused as to why I could only move forward but I figured it all out pretty quick.

I was going to complain about Q&E for rotation, but if you look at it from the aspect of being a penalty for not having a full set of thrusters then it makes sense to me.

Rocket Bow by xykvy 2017-08-14T20:41:26Z

Nice art! The little flamey face thing is cool :)

Crankship Courier by drprettypatty 2017-08-19T21:17:09Z

Fun little concept, took a little while to get the hang of moving around and then clicking the appropriate button. I wonder if just moving to either the the propeller crank or the gun crank and then tapping an "action" button would be more approachable? I liked the cloud effect but it was slightly disorienting due to the direction they moved (sometimes I felt like I was moving backwards, visually). Overall though, nice job!

Tunnel Bad Trip by bellatrion 2017-08-14T22:43:29Z

Nice game, unique art style. It was a bit difficult not knowing when the next light beam would appear, and the camera snapping when entering/exiting the vehicle was a little bit jarring, but a fun concept overall.

Escape Velocity by Klowner 2017-08-01T20:43:18Z

Windows and Mac binaries are up! :)

Hydrocrypt by shru 2017-08-14T20:47:14Z

Having the same issue as @taras on Linux with LOVE 0.10.2

The art looks pretty tho!

Dare to Ludum by matita 2017-08-17T22:30:20Z

So meta! :D

Urban Campaign by pataya 2017-08-19T21:08:37Z

Love the music and visuals, especially the color! nice job :D

Spaced out by Simon Rahnasto 2017-08-15T15:42:37Z

I love the isometric ships! Really quality visuals, camera movement feels fantastic, everything is all very cohesive feeling. Really nice job on this one!

Energy Scraps by Royoyo 2017-08-07T14:09:16Z

I like the environment design is cool, although the controls felt a little sluggish to me or something. The overall concept reminded of No Man's Sky's resource gathering / ship refueling. Overall nice job!

B1NMAN_ROFP by davideperozzi 2017-08-05T19:53:21Z

I made to to wave 5! I like how your weapon throws you backwards, that's a fun touch. Also the screen shake is fun but the screen wobble when you move left and right started making me slightly motion sick :D I really liked the attack mechanic though.

ZombieZurvivor by Mads 2017-08-14T22:51:20Z

The WASD/Mouse control is really fun, and I like the use of shadows around the wall corners and behind the zombies. I wonder how it would be if the flashlight were directional?

Greenhouse Dystopia by DeadlyAlive 2017-08-10T21:01:00Z

Nice! I like the color choices, very apocalyptic and dirty feeling. Creative story. My only complaint is that the movement feels a little swimmy to me, but overall it's a fun little platformer.

Saito's Transgression by Kapricorn Media 2017-08-02T03:25:29Z

Those screenshots alone are just effin' beautiful.

Encounters by Valphera 2017-08-14T22:36:05Z

I met Joyce! Cute little game, something about the walk-bob combined with the step distance made it feel like I didn't have great control but I liked the exploration aspect. Extra points for Rick and Morty references ;)

Gymtastic by LittleLegend 2017-08-14T20:51:47Z

It seems the Linux build is broken due to the data files having inconsistent letter casing.

Spacesquid Spaceship by Nezumi Games 2017-08-16T15:28:11Z

I survived! This was awesome all around, I think this would make an awesome mobile game. My mouse clicking finger is exhausted.

Oil Patrol by SeanNoonan 2017-08-11T12:54:33Z

Love the graphics!

SPACEFORCE! Funding Secured. by khaotom 2018-08-30T16:24:12Z

Love the minimalist simplicity! The gameplay was super easy to pick up right from the start. I also really enjoyed the bleep bloops :)

Cybatron by Flaterectomy 2018-09-02T19:15:02Z

This is excellent! I like the supporting mountain mechanic.

Super Hoarder Man by Klowner 2018-09-03T20:17:46Z

@leorototo Windows build is fixed now hopefully! Thanks for letting me know

Space Raze by Inworks 2018-09-04T00:44:49Z

Love the art direction, the strafing ship movement + mouse to aim was a bit tricky to get used to :D

Space(bar)Invaders by Carraka 2018-08-21T17:03:48Z

Really creative interpretation of the theme! Love it :D

Pizza Defender by Sloyd 2018-09-02T19:24:45Z

Loved everything about this :D Excellent job!

Space Rabbit by gogu 2018-08-25T19:51:29Z

Second level was tricky but I managed to bounce off the far right wall, grab the jetpack, and then boost up over to the exit. Fun little concept!

Acid Sink by Supernapie 2018-09-02T19:39:48Z

Very cohesive experience! Awesome job!
