Wow. It looks awesome man!

netguy204 2018-08-14 13:05

Loved your choice of music. Once I understood my weapons I was pretty effective--circle strafing like a boss! I liked your use of the theme. Power ups would occasionally render behind the background (bug, I think). Overall: strong execution of a solid idea. You could grow this by changing up shape of the environment (shapes other than circles) or perhaps the feel of the environment (hole in the middle sucks you towards it). Nice work.

@netguy204 I tought of playing with the idea of the hole sucking you towards it but i found it was limiting the gameplay especially when the circle was getting really small.

Awesome game! Had a lot of fun with it!

shozou 2018-08-14 13:33

If you know what you're doing you can basically play forever, or at least, quite long. (I just snatched myself first place for now.) Still, fun little game. Could be fleshed out post jam with some powerups or different shapes of it.

inworks 2018-08-14 13:38

@shozou Nice job on the highscore and thanks for the feedback.

vekstr 2018-08-14 13:44

Looks great, but the controls ruin the experience for me. Is it intentional that the ship moves toward the mouse position? If so I'm curious as to why didn't you just make it moves up-down and left-right on the screen?

Oh and is the aim supposed to be inaccurate?

inworks 2018-08-14 13:52

@vekstr i know the controls are rough and will try refine these in the an update and i know the crosshair is more a guideline for aiming for now but i will fix it later.

vekstr 2018-08-14 14:28

@inworks Cool!

phantom-dinosaur 2018-08-14 15:08

Amazing! The gameplay elements fit perfectly and a completely new idea. I managed to get second best highscore. I think there are some small bugs with the control, like sometimes the ship doesn't shoot where the cursor is at. Not sure if it's a bug or feature.

It's really fun, Nice work)

indiemaniac 2018-08-14 15:59

Vert simple, very effective. I felt like the aiming is not perfect, if i aim away from the midle the aiming seems like its not in line with the mouse cursor. Art is average, music is good, gameplay is almost great if it werent for the aiming problem

Funny game. The leardboard was a very good idea and music/graphics are good. The only problem I see is the game is a bit too random. Sometimes is just impossible to survive since no one drops the blue thing. But nice game, i enjoyed playing it

stefan-jovanovic 2018-08-20 17:59

Really nice game! I really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work!

zuhairghias 2018-08-20 18:51

Awesome game. Super professional and polished. Only issue I had is the control scheme.

Also love the upload score feature. How did you do that?

erikiene 2018-08-20 21:52

Superb entry! Enjoyed every aspect of it. It was fun to play, pleasant to look at and the audio kept up the intensity of it all. As others have noted - decoupling the turret controls from the ship controls might be worth looking into, unless you already tried and this was better. In any case - awesome work!

timbelion 2018-08-21 09:51

Woow... really nice game! Idea is very similar to mine: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/void-era

inworks 2018-08-21 12:59

@zuhairghias for the scoreboard i used a free web based scoreboard system called **Dreamlo**.

@erikiene I already tried this but it made the killing enemies to easy. But post jam i will polish up the controls.

Nice game mechanics and graphics. Fits theme very well. Congratulations!

klowner 2018-09-04 00:44

Love the art direction, the strafing ship movement + mouse to aim was a bit tricky to get used to :D

blubberquark 2018-09-04 09:13

the controls were awkward, and your logo on the resolution menu was to big i could not even select a resolution on my screen!
