Wow can't believe you had times to make this. Despite being 4 working on it you achieved coherence in every way. The game is consistent and intuitive. I'm not a huge fan of the artistic direction you went for but i can understand it. You had special attention to both gameplay and feedback, i feel like this is a true game with a solid core gameplay. Very good job guys, i'm a fan now ! One thing though, you could have made the game restart once finishing a level is no longer possible.

cpone 2018-08-13 23:48

The concept of the game is really interesting and fits the aesthetic you have gone for really well. The puzzles are sufficiently difficult that it feels satisfying to figure out how to do them. Unfortunately I feel that not enough levels were dedicated to teaching the player the mechanics. As the levels grew in difficulty I did find myself starting to click randomly in order to find the solution.

ja-viera 2018-08-14 01:19

I like the concept, mood and artwork, but it was difficult to play at first because the colliders weren't aligned with the actual puzzle pieces. Maybe it was a resolution thing?

whitepoulpe 2018-08-14 15:17

I appreciate the concept and the design of the environnement very much, it's really clean. Easy to take in hand :)

flaterectomy 2018-08-14 16:44

@anstabo Thanks for the kind words! Seeing as I made the art, I do wonder what you didn't like about it. (I welcome any criticism, don't hold back!)

@cpone I can see your point, escalating the difficulty is an artform in and of itself.

@ja-viera Thank you! I've not been able to replicate the issue you mentioned. What resolution are you running?

@whitepoulpe Thanks, I had to struggle to keep to the clean style a bunch of times, but it worked out.

A friend of mine who **wasn't involved** in making the game played it and sent me a screenshot of his victory screen. Has anyone else managed to do it faster/in less moves/etc?

nidup 2018-08-14 18:47

Great concept, good fit with the theme and very polished entry. I like the overall ambiance, the difficulty increases properly thanks to a well-balanced level design. I spent good time playing your game, congratz

trocentraisin 2018-08-14 19:15

Good game, I got bored at the last levels, but I think it's just because I'm not in a puzzle game mood. Oh and nice take on the theme

pinoza 2018-08-14 19:49

Wow! Puzzles with a great job behind, it has a good learning curve and the tips are essentials!

simanis 2018-08-14 20:01

Interesting concept and nice graphics - I think they really fit the puzzle/strategy genre.

The hitboxes are way off in google chrome for me though, so I couldn't progress too far. Refreshing the page causes music to disappear (sound effects remain).

holy 2018-08-14 20:05

Love the progression and the tips for each level, didnt managed to end it because I'm not a fan of puzzle games but nice job!

plukers 2018-08-14 20:37

What a fantastic game! I love the style and it has good puzzles. Got instantly hooked. I could image to play this on my phone on my way to work, it's just such a nice game and perfect for some short play sessions!

oadt 2018-08-14 20:43

@flaterectomy Thanks, now I feel dumb :D

Moves: 472

Time spend: 33M 1S

Resets used: 81

Hints used: 23 (well i simply checked all)

Blocks lost: 351

Needed some time to get the mechanics but great game and atmosphere.

ashment 2018-08-14 20:43

In terms of design the game is quite impressive. Quite a few levels to play through and they are all gorgeous. Good job.

krasse 2018-08-14 21:44

Very good puzzle game. The graphics and music were spot on. The level design was very clever as well. Well done! Hope you'll make a post-jam version as well

purrfexionator 2018-08-14 22:30

Awesome game! I didn't complete it, but I enjoyed what I played. The concept is very clever, and it makes for some very polished and challenging puzzles! Keep up the good work!

boopsgames 2018-08-14 22:58

Nice puzzle game. I never got the hang of the internal rules, though, so I felt like I was just randomly trying out stuff until it worked. It looks and plays really nice, though. I'd replace the falling sound, also.

chocolat-endive 2018-08-14 23:27

Super cool design. Some of the puzzles are quite difficults. Love the mood and the gameplay! It's an impressive game for a jam!

magmafortress 2018-08-15 09:28

I was also having the alignment issue mentioned above. Running in a fullscreen window at 1080p. I seemed to need to have the mouse cursor a couple of tile widths higher than where I wanted to click

flaterectomy 2018-08-15 10:12

We'll see if we can reproduce this. The intended behavior is that you click on the surface tile of the floor cubes (whether there is a building on it or not), so if you're not getting that then something is definitely wrong. Thanks @ja-viera (again), @simanis and @magmafortress for letting us know.

hadi-danial 2018-08-15 18:04

Pretty neat game, I like the concept and how it was executed! Also looked great. Only problem was, the hitbox for the tiles (and even the restart and info buttons) is on top of the actual tiles. I thought I was doing something wrong until I noticed it. Regardless, it's a great game!

daanvanyperen 2018-08-15 18:52

@hadi-danial mind posting a screenshot and some info on what device/browser you are using to play the game?

hadi-danial 2018-08-15 19:02

@daanvanyperen That's weird, I just opened the game again to show you and it worked fine. Idk, could be a one time thing? I'm on Windows 10, using Chrome.

daanvanyperen 2018-08-15 19:13

@nadi-danial ah that helped reproduce it! :) Thanks.

flaterectomy 2018-08-15 19:20

Aha, we found out what causes the bug. If you scroll down on the game page, that offsets the hitboxes.

*EDIT: This bug has been fixed.*

flaterectomy 2018-08-15 19:57

@ja-viera, @simanis, @magmafortress, @hadi-danial We fixed the issue with the offset hitboxes. If you want to have a go in the way it was intended, now you can! 😃

laminariy 2018-08-15 22:39

I like puzzles, and this graphic is so good. Spent time with pleasure playing this game!

m2u-84 2018-08-16 19:55

Very cool look and feel! Especially enjoyed the leightweight optics of this one. Good luck!

weine 2018-08-17 15:43

Stylish, puzzly and with a finished feeling. Well done! Can't really find any negatives on this one, and the puzzle mechanics are thematic and challenging enough. Difficulty progressions looks about right, and there's even in-game hints to help you from getting stuck.

thought-reactor 2018-08-17 15:47

Really fun and challenging puzzle game. Love the minimalist style and background music! Great job.

andrei9 2018-08-17 15:55

Nice! :D

ihateyouse 2018-08-17 15:58

Overall this is one of the best games I have played thus far. I love the style and simplicity. It does fit the theme well. Not much exciting or humorous about it other than it's a job well done by the team. Very good submission.

alexosa 2018-08-17 16:06

Cool mechanic of moving tiles. If you add main menu and more levels you could publish this in Play store.

cristihkj 2018-08-17 17:25

Nice game! Really cool and interesting! :D

kisamegr 2018-08-17 17:56

One of the most polished games I've played these days. The level progress and the puzzles are at a professional level. Really good work.

larryseinfeld 2018-08-17 18:02

Wow! Really smart game! The visuals were sleek, the music blended with the game so well, the puzzle designs were really clever and the mechanics for them felt fresh and original. Really awesome work guys!

eptwalabha 2018-08-17 18:04

This is the nicest game I've played so far, this game mechanic is great. I didn't use artemis-odb for a long time, but your game makes me want to use it again. Good job on your entry.!

edit: I forgot to put my scores ;) - moves: 390 - Time spent: 23m 44s - Resets used: 33 - hints used: 3 - blocks lost: 321

yetman 2018-08-17 18:17

Wow, I love puzzle games but this one is hard for me (I will try it again later when I am less tired). The idea is really nice but the mechanics are still vague for me even after winning a couple of levels by trial and error. I think a more detailed tutorial will be very helpful. For the other aspects, the art is great and the futuristic vibes is what attracted me to play this game. The interface is also very intuitive and easy to understand. Great game.

slojanko 2018-08-17 18:35

Interesting puzzle game, the art and music is cool (gg to the fellow composer ;)). The titles of the stages are a nice touch. My main gripe with the game is the theme, i feel like something more could've been done with that. But nice job!

cbenoit 2018-08-17 18:41

One of the best games I've played so far, such a simple little idea polished to an awesome degree. I did have some small issues with trying to select the right block to move sometimes, especially if I removed a block somewhere in the middle of the level with buildings in the way, but beyond that little thing I loved playing this. Great job!

lisa 2018-08-17 21:14

this is incredibly well done. i was definitely stumped on one puzzle. my only feedback, when i started it was a little unclear to me which pieces would fall away. but as i played more, it become understandable. great job overall

smt 2018-08-17 21:27

This is such a pretty game, great overall idea and gameplay too

ithildin 2018-08-17 22:45

Amazing game! Super polished in all aspects, the core mechanic is simple and at the same time strong, and the progression is smoothly balanced. The game pretty much teaches you as you proceed through the levels with no other crutch than the titles.

I can easily imagine this game as a released product, congrats for a brilliant entry!.

phlip45 2018-08-18 01:33

This game seems to be pretty much complete. I'd probably pay a buck or two for this on my mobile device. Add some more levels and implement undo and take my money!

zicboy 2018-08-18 08:37

Awesome game! I enjoy the art and mood of it. Keep up the good work!

smuhlaci 2018-08-19 11:55

What can i say, it is perfect! 5/5!

aug 2018-08-19 20:16

The graphics are clean and polished, it's unique, the SFX and background music immerse you in the game and fit the mood, the level design is nice (if a bit difficult at times :P). The UI could use some slight improvements or at least a bit of a tutorial (the goal was confusing at times), and the perspective got a bit confusing at times so being able to rotate the map would be nice. With some expansion and tuning, this could be a full-on indie PC or mobile puzzler! Great stuff, one of my favorites so far.

digital-bacon 2018-08-20 11:07

Nice game, love the mechanics and the graphics were nice and clean.

s-london-by 2018-08-20 12:27

very cool game. Thank you!

arron-fowler 2018-08-20 20:56

Super good entry. I can see it being developed into something really successful. Beautiful, challenging and satisfying. Not much more to say.

mackandrius 2018-08-21 20:17

Very clean and well polished looking game that does take some thinking to master. Awesome soundtrack and great overall feel. Amazing job, guys!

corbak 2018-08-21 20:23

what a great game. Very polished and lovely to play. Lots of fun and headache too ! Well done on your entry !

randomphantom 2018-08-22 04:06

Wonderful artstyle! Once I got a hang of the gameplay it became quite fun, although its still very non-intuitive I feel (why can't I slide my blocks this other direction?) Its kind of easy to miss a click as well so user interactions need some work - maybe a top down view would be easier to read and understand. Appreciate the different BGM themes each level. Great job!

g12345 2018-08-23 21:07

Great game! I haven't finished it yet (too many other games to play) but I've seen enough. Nice art style.

Took me a while to understand what those 'anchor' tiles did, and sometimes they are hidden behind other pieces. And sometimes it's hard to see what your goal is.

Still, a great game! I've been playing your games for several LD's now and this one looks very different.

Also took me a while to understand why sometimes blocks move, and sometimes they dont.

aurel300 2018-08-24 13:30

Very cool. Minimalistic but pretty graphics, fitting music, and a lot of interesting level design. My only gripe is that the rule for when blocks can be moved and when not was not really explained. It looked like they could only be slid so that they form a closed / gapless column or row? Once or twice I thought I had a solution to the level only to find out one of the moves was impossible. Even though without explaining this rule explicitly the game is much "cleaner", perhaps it is not worth it to sacrifice the explanation just to keep the atmosphere. Nonetheless, great job overall!

zinski 2018-08-24 22:02

This game is a very good interpretation of the theme! I loved the atmosphere of this little puzzle game with its minimalist graphic style but so effective! I think some extra feedback on the gameplay would make the game even better! Great job! :)

By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!

bibilega 2018-08-25 10:43

Such a good game. I want to say that level design is so good. From simple to complex. Very interesting to play!

acuriosity 2018-08-26 20:11

I really enjoyed the art style, it was so elegant... Clearly someone knows there way around the pixel...

rs11s21n 2018-08-27 01:08

seems cool. but buildings moving is really weird i not get why sometimes i can't move house... and i think you need add undo because sometimes restart is too painful XD

ice-maker 2018-08-27 01:16

I really liked the art style but frankly found the mechanics a bit non-intuitive until I got a bit farther into the game

nikyaer 2018-08-27 01:17

Wow, this is really good. You should continue to develop this into a full blown game.

karai17 2018-08-27 05:24

Excellent game, quite pretty too. :)

bbaf 2018-08-28 18:45

Gorgeous game! Art and sound are great. Speaking about gameplay - it requires some time to figure out the main rules but then it plays very smooth.

s0rax 2018-08-29 11:44

Very good game, The gameplay mechanics is really original and it match the theme. Graphics are very polish and I like to discover how I have to play the game. Great job !

trevor-hayes 2018-08-29 20:49

I think my scores indicate that I didn't really stop to think ahead and just kept trying things. Level 10 was the hardest for me to get over for some reason, even though it's actually pretty straight forward and basically level 7 again :S

I'm impressed the game has a soundtrack and not just a single song. :) When I first play the game in Chromium, Version 68.0.3440.84 (Official Build) Arch Linux (64-bit), there is no music from level 1 to 5. It starts playing on level 6. I thought this was by design at first, but if you restart once the music has started there is then music for levels 1 to 5.

hare-software 2018-09-01 20:44

Beautiful graphics and great use of the theme. Was fun trying to figure out how to play, great job!

acronaut 2018-09-02 18:05

I stopped at Level 10 (after Nth amount of Resets) Nice execution of progressive challenges of the puzzles.. :ok_hand: Interesting to see this game made in libGDX!

Optional Suggestions: - When user mouse-over a tile for its intent to collapse, highlight-surrounding/neighboring tiles that may be affected (perhaps as a secondary form of hint; or limited number of that ability) - or have upgrade screen (cash in solve-points for upgrade solve-skills: eg. Lvl.1 = AOE 1-tile, Lvl.2 = AOE 3-tile, Lvl.3 - all affected tiles) - Option for user to auto-reset if user failed on the puzzle. (Since there's auto-advance for solving the puzzle) - I could see this game may have potential for local-multiplayer (turn-based; hot-seat mode), (Tiles divided between factions) or player vs. an AI..

bradleypollard 2018-09-02 18:21

Very impressive creation given the time limit. Art was nice, although I kept wanting to rotate to see behind a lot of the buildings (despite the hover transparency). Some indication of progress would be nice too, since I played up to level 10 but I wasn't sure of the progression. Puzzle mechanics were really well thought out (even if it took me a few levels to clock what actually caused a tile to fall down).

red222 2018-09-02 18:43

Very good concept, very good gameplay ... I approve :)

klowner 2018-09-02 19:15

This is excellent! I like the supporting mountain mechanic.

mrjoshuamclean 2018-09-04 13:35

I like how there's some gaming in that code time lapse. XD

This was fun, definitely unique. Some bits were hard for me to wrap my head around immediately but I'm bad at paying attention to mechanics in these sorts of games. Also reading is hard.

Here's a video of my play and feedback: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/303342349

ursagames 2018-09-04 13:39

Really great puzzler! It felt very polished. Great aesthetic too. Thanks for sharing your game with my stream awhile back. Your game was played around 4:22 into this vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299925225

hellsquirrel 2018-09-04 13:58

Nice work!
