LD38 — A Small World

Petty Puny Planet 38 by JorgeGameDev 2017-05-01T23:44:52Z

Wow, this game is amazing! I had a really good time with this. As of writing this, I've finished the game once (got the gamejam ending, quite fitting!) and will probably go play some more! The art is great, and really clever as different props get put onto your planet. A fun way to keep track of your choices and make them entertaining besides just the text consequences, reminds me of Binding of Isaac in that sense. I've played a couple of these decision management sort of games for the jam, and this is probably the best one! Very polished too, if not for a couple typos here and there.

The Cookie Knight by aaranos 2017-05-01T22:37:24Z

Can't go too wrong with a platformer, and the levels are good, but difficult. I feel the difficulty is inflated a lot by the slippery movement though, as it seems easy to just slide off platforms even if you stop moving. The collision is a bit funky too. I kept finding myself trying to jump and instead just falling right to my doom where I felt like I was clearly still on the edge of a platform. That's probably what caused the most frustration. If those are fixed, then the difficulty wouldn't be so bad!

EDIT: I broke the game! Trying to test out the collision detection on the blocks, if I just inched off the edge of the first block on level two (flour?) and tried to jump a couple times I fell though the world. oops. Thought you might want to know though!

Rockpolis: Town survival by Pete 2017-05-18T20:07:34Z

Really fun game! First learning what everything did was probably the worst part, but then once I got the hang of how things worked I really enjoyed it. As the person above me said, Bribe didn't seem to do what you would expect it to, I think it just gave two cards from the deck which is basically a duplicate of the other card that did the same thing (forgot the name). It got pretty tough as I got closer to the end, and I sadly ended up losing on medium :(

Great job though!

Hopper by TechnoNugget 2017-05-01T03:53:36Z

Pretty fun game, but I ended up wishing for it to be a little harder. It might get too frustrating though. as the controls can sometimes be a little finicky for jumping and shooting. If you thought about changing the controls around a bit to make them more responsive and making the difficulty maybe ramp up a bit faster (so there isn't quite as much time of just a couple ground enemies on the screen) it would be really addicting and fast-paced. I think that sort of "addictingly difficult" direction could be really fun!

Come on, barbarian! by uchiro 2017-05-01T22:26:50Z

Very nice art, goes along great with the unwieldy, QWOP-like movement and mechanics. I understand that it is supposed to be this way, yet it seems almost a little too frustrating to try and get a hit on someone, as I ended up either not having enough range and just hitting their (lowered) shield, or plowing into their sword held at their side and dying instantly. Otherwise, I could see this being good fun once I get the hang of movement more, and I agree with the idea of a 1v1 multiplayer sounding really fun and silly!

The Dwarf Planet by keckles 2017-05-10T22:16:56Z

Seems like an interesting game, and I like concepts like these where you craft better and better things, but the crafting system seemed frustrating to me. I feel like it could have been much easier if I could craft things from my inventory instead of having to find something just laying around or placing something down first. It might have just been my computer being a potato, but nothing that I tried to place down showed up in the world, like I would click on the fire in the inventory, but it would just disappear from the list and nothing else would happen. Otherwise, I could see it being quite fun!

RoboLand by slovakyan 2017-05-10T22:33:31Z

Very nice puzzle game, I could see this being a good concept to expand upon! One main criticism I have with the game though is that it is a little bit obnoxious to fail and retry. I wish my directional arrow things wouldn't disappear each time I failed so I didn't have to set them all up again if my setup didn't work out. Also some things were a little unclear as to what they even did. Like the spaces that count down each step didn't seem to do anything. Also, I'm currently stuck on the level which has the two teleporters(?) and have no clue how to finish the level!

Anyways, nice graphics as well, I like the overall atmosphere of how the ocean looks with the subtle sounds in the background. Keep improving it!

Roguelike One by Chris Otey 2017-05-11T00:24:36Z

Very very fun game! Only real criticism is that the aiming felt a little bit clunky, especially since the missiles' speed make it very difficult to turn around and shoot them before you get hit. Otherwise, it felt super tight, and the ability to upgrade just made it even more fun! Great music as well, and the graphics fit nicely.

I wish the levels didn't just reset when you complete the last area though! I've gone through twice to max out my ship and I wish we found out what was at the center. :(

Protect by M-1 2017-05-01T05:08:36Z

I found this super fun! I love rhythm games like this, especially since it's usually pretty easy to tell which instrument to start tuning into when trying to hit the notes. They were pretty accurate too for the most part, so it was all the more satisfying! Easy was still pretty difficult (able to get to rank 3 though! Feels good), so I'm a little afraid to try out hard. One main criticism I have is that it is difficult and kind of frustrating trying to tell just how many notes were coming up in succession. The squares end up just becoming one big line, especially towards the latter half of the song, and I'm always a bit unsure as to whether it's two quick notes, three, four?

Overall very fun, and can be super addicting especially if there were more songs to play! Great job!

Paper Jam! by danhett 2017-05-01T06:27:45Z

The graphics are sweet, the scribble style is very nicely done! The hitboxes seem a little bit wonky though, so it was a bit frustrating at times to not be able to jump over certain spikes without hitting my head on something.

Colonized Panda by Pashok 2017-05-01T22:04:31Z

I agree with a lot of the points made. The typos would make some descriptions and decisions a little confusing, and the waiting time was usually fine, but maybe two or three times it got a little long for seemingly no reason. Also, it sometimes seemed a little unclear as to why a certain outcome would take place, or how to prevent an outcome from happening. Everything I did just seemed to give me more of those damned rebels! That could have just been me though and how I played it, so other people could have been fine with that. The music was a very nice fit for the mood of a panda floating in space (even if the ambient city noises in the background of the track made me think something was going on outside!), and the art looked good!

kumo. by Turbo Hermit 2017-05-05T00:39:11Z

Super relaxing with the minimalistic sound design. The soft rain noise and occasional musical strums are very nice! I probably spent a little too much time than I should have trying to grow everything as much as possible!

Murder Mitosis by _for_science 2017-05-01T23:27:52Z

I can't even win against the AI :(

Very creative and very fun! Everything with the music, gameplay, and graphics all go together really well! The movement feels a little difficult and slidey and you tend to get buried under a lot of cells and become unable to move anywhere. Otherwise, really great!

Monolith by samlo 2017-05-02T01:58:07Z

I found the visuals to be great, and the game is very fun. However, I personally am not too sold on the lock-on mechanic and think it could use a little tweaking. It feels a bit counterintuitive to have to stand still directly in the line of fire in order to lock on, and in a game this fast-paced with bullets flying everywhere you feel like a sitting duck. I think it might be helpful to do a small change to it, such as not having the lock-on tick down when your cursor isn't on the enemy in order to encourage more dodging, locking on, dodging, finish lock on, fire, etc. or to lock on faster, which would encourage dodging attacks and then getting your shot in before the next volley of bullets does.

I still had good fun with it though, I got to around 250-ish score?

Beware The Idiots by Gris 2017-05-01T22:16:36Z

I don't think I'm very good at this haha. I didn't find the walls to be especially helpful though and it sometimes it wouldn't work when I tried to draw them. Maybe they could be a bit longer or have a destroy-on-contact effect. My lack of skill aside, it's a fun, simple, and engaging game! The menu quotes gave me a good laugh too!

MicroCHIP by Tony Godfrey 2017-05-01T23:12:39Z

Pretty fun! I like the satisfying feeling of ramming into enemies and making them explode into a nice puff of virus smoke. I'm not sure why, but it seemed like I still lost when the health bar got only halfway down instead of fully. I'm thinking it might be a bug (a real one lol, not the purple bugs)? I initially assumed it's because there might be a time limit to put the pieces in their slots, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Either way, I enjoyed it!

Still Waters by mihaylovartem74 2017-05-12T22:14:18Z

Thanks Hanzo mains :P

Very interesting and engaging management game. Pretty difficult to keep everyone alive though with the amount of water you get. I only got to the end with two left, and even then one died as soon as we reached land (oops!)! Pretty fun though, and has an interesting contrast between feeling calming from the atmosphere and the music, so frantic as you try to juggle people to keep them alive. Nice job!

Arrows in Orbit by Stoemason 2017-05-10T22:54:20Z

The concept of the arrows traveling around the world makes it super interesting! I think the shooting can be improved a bit, as it's hard to tell where you're going to be firing, but this could be amazing if you expanded upon it and made some improvements! So much potential with the idea!

Sling Ship 🌏 by Quoclon 2017-05-01T06:03:41Z

Maybe I'm just bad... but this game is hard as hell lol. Still fun enough to keep trying endlessly though I guess!

Glop Plots by Carsen D. 2017-05-01T03:58:17Z

@kr4ft3r Yeah, I agree with the "E" button not really being needed. I guess my thought process behind keeping it was in case you end up moving between multiple plots quickly, the menu would end up flickering on and off and could get annoying. Although that brings up the question whether to have the menu close at all... Things to think about for sure!

Glop Plots by Carsen D. 2017-05-01T06:40:48Z

@vkmicro The problem with the controls is probably because of Unity's physics. There is a short period of acceleration when you press and deceleration when you let go of the button, which is probably why it keeps moving a little. I had toned this affect down a good amount (it is _super_ floaty by default), and what it's at now felt pretty alright to me when testing the game, but I might have just gotten used to it!

Virulence by Sputnik3D 2017-05-12T22:29:25Z

Interesting concept with creating a "modular" organism with blocks and such. The way it controls though is really frustrating and slide-y, and it what made me stop playing after a little bit even though I would rather have kept going and evolving. It could be really fun if this is fixed and maybe some extra objectives are added. I like it!

Small World Clicker by xatulu 2017-05-16T20:51:48Z

I like the premise, and the ending was pretty funny, but was there any point to building things? It didn't seem to do anything if I just let all my people (all my selves?) starve to death out on the cold streets of my self-cloning kingdom. I enjoy clicker games like this though, so good on ya.

War of Quiz! by orquigames 2017-05-10T22:44:35Z

I thought all the effects with shooting missiles at the alien ship helped the game to feel much more satisfying then a normal quiz game. Although the way the answers worked and were chosen ended up making a lot of questions pretty easy, as I ended up getting a selection of answers that made it pretty obvious which one was correct. Lead to some humorous answer groups though!

LD39 — Running out of Power

Lost In Spb by BloodJohn 2017-08-21T23:25:36Z

Interesting concept, but it basically seems incredibly hard to win after trying a bunch of times... Nice game though!

Inefficient Plasma Weapon by schizoid2k 2017-08-01T18:55:24Z

Nice, solid game! The gameplay was interesting and could get challenging, and I enjoyed those explosion sound effects a lot!

Unlit by xdegtyarev 2017-08-19T20:34:07Z

Really great mood and fun gameplay. The jumping and movement felt very tight, and also very satisfying just from the nice walking sound effect! i enjoyed it quite a bit!

Lionel's Weekend by nidup 2017-08-02T19:28:08Z

Amazing job! The whole concept works really well. Having to go though the level once normally and then retracing your steps in the dark works very nicely, and I thought the great sound design made it even better. It never really felt frustrating, and the use of specific lighted objects were good reference points as well. Damn that hard-of-hearing coworker!

Charge by bemmu 2017-08-02T06:30:06Z

Fun game! I like the idea of only being able to see enemies around where you are shooting. A lot of games like this revolve around being aware of all the enemies and which one is closest, but having that mechanic makes it much more interesting with having to search around and not knowing if a pesky battery is sneaking up behind you. Seems like it would be pretty fun with a friend, I tried it alone and trying to control both cannons became quite the mental exercise!

Drone Supervisor by Jimbly 2017-08-19T20:25:23Z

Really fun and addicting game! It's definitely got a great framework that could be expanded quite a bit, and it would be glorious. Trying to optimize everything to get the most money was pretty satisfying, and definitely left me wanting to keep going one turn after another.

Take my charge by josehzz 2017-08-15T05:55:30Z

Really cool little game! I certainly enjoyed the philosophical musings and the rising sound cues. The graphics fit nicely and the overall presentation was simple but nicely put together. I enjoyed the puzzles as well!

Robo Power by jahndis 2017-08-02T06:40:38Z

I really love the puzzle mechanics in this and how they build upon each other. It never felt too difficult, as I always felt that it was just my own logic being the problem rather than the game being obtuse. The feeling of solving a puzzle that you got stuck on is very satisfying too!

Can't forget the grumpy mayor, I enjoyed him a lot as well! :)

The Liberation of Liberatia by Somnium 2017-08-19T07:27:52Z

I really enjoyed the overall idea of the game. The mechanics with having the differently aligned people and their effect on killing a leader was very interesting, and made a nice sort of pacing to the game (get rid of renegades, grow your followers, try to kill a leader). This concept makes the strategy aspect very engaging with some neat decisions. However, like the person above, I thought the RNG ended up making things a bit frustrating and almost too artificially difficult. The suggested operations helped with this, but made me feel like I should only really be doing what it told me would have a higher chance of success because everything else had a pretty low success rate.

With that being said though, I still enjoyed the game! The strategy was a nice change of pace from the often fast pace of a lot of the other entries I've been playing!

Running out of Pow E.R. by larzan 2017-08-15T18:23:40Z

I think you managed to take what would be a very simple and basic endless runner and made it really cool and fun with just the clever use of music and camera movement! It makes things seem a lot more epic, when in reality you're really just jumping over some dudes in bed. I had a good time with it!

PLASMAGUN! by yuigoto 2017-08-19T07:53:01Z

I thought this was a really fun game, I enjoyed playing it a lot! The graphics were pretty good, the music was fitting, and the game was quite fun! The wobbling text reminded my a lot of Hotline Miami. I would have preferred bars to show your plasma and health, as that would be much easier to read at a glance instead of having to read out the numbers all the time. That is what ultimately made me not continue after I died as it got a little bit irksome.

That was my only real problem though, and if there truly are 100 levels, thats insane! I barely got past the first one. Nice job though!

Asteroids by MianaGames 2017-08-02T07:49:10Z

Very charming and fun little game! I thought everything was done very well, and this shows you that you don't necessarily always need your mechanics to be super complicated for your game to still be enjoyable and addicting!

Unadexus by smbe19 2017-08-02T19:10:42Z

Very impressively deep and complex at first glance, but this also means that the game is quite confusing to get into even with the tutorial. I wish that there wasn't such a wall at the start where it's hard to understand how to not keep losing, as I would have loved to play this game for quite some time. Very promising though.

Sip Sip Universe by sugarbyte 2017-08-01T03:17:38Z

Interesting concept. I feel like it could be a little clearer as to what you are doing exactly, but I found it neat that you could see other people's wine names (I assume they were real people's!).

Eat pray live by wrexialmt 2017-08-01T03:25:11Z

Very charming game! I really like the whole combination of the sound effects, music, and art style. It all came together so well!

ZapDune by diptoman 2017-08-02T06:17:45Z

Neat mechanics and very nice graphics. Once you get the hang of it, grappling around is fun! One thing though is that the grappling noise got kind of deafening because sometimes the sound would play a bunch at once which got a little annoying. Otherwise, nice!

End of Time by TolMera 2017-08-01T18:26:00Z

Interesting concept, but I feel like it could be explained better and I just ended up researched a bunch of stuff then losing :(

Kept me engaged though!

Devil's Curse by herniewise 2017-08-01T18:50:45Z

Not sure if my earlier comment posted because the site is being stubborn, so sorry if I double-post!

I really liked this game a lot! The graphics and music/sounds fit very well (the art style reminds me of Downwell!), and the gameplay is really interesting! I like the idea of having more restrictions put upon you as you go to make things more difficult and to force you to change up your playstyle. Things got pretty hard by round 4 though when I couldn't shoot at all!

V-Empire by GabrielBucsan 2017-08-01T02:58:57Z

I enjoyed the idea of having to balance between shapeshifting to stay alive and conserving power to, well, also stay alive! It gets a little crazy as the game goes on and more hunting villagers spawn (I only got to 1650 score though, dunno if that is good or not), and I feel like to balance out having to use your bat form more often, normal villagers should spawn more as well. Fun little game though!

Aphelion by vulpineblazeyt 2017-08-06T00:31:56Z

I enjoyed the music a lot, it was really good and energetic! The sound effect for hitting things started to annoy me quite a bit though, because it got deafening and quite repetitive if you hit multiple things at once. The main mechanic was interesting with being limited on just holding down the button as well as being rewarded by hitting things and being accurate and deliberate. Interesting story as well.

Plug Busters by MattDahEpic 2017-08-01T03:11:16Z

I think this has potential to become a really fun game if you expanded upon it! Maybe I did something different than everyone else, but I actually thought that the game could be a little harder? After the first wave of near-empty tenants, it ended up becoming pretty easy to just go around and top everyone up before they get low. I got to around 4500 points and stopped as there was no end in sight (Although for me to still keep playing for quite a while after the difficulty had gotten trivial is a testament to how addicting the core gameplay can be!). I was thinking if you were to add something you could have it so once the plugs are empty, you would have to take it back to the power grid from the tenant to recharge and reuse.

I dunno, food for thought. Good job!

robottodor by jelch 2017-08-14T02:24:27Z

I really enjoy the roguelike sort of aspect to it where if you die, then you can upgrade your robot. However, the only time I died was when I finished the tutorial so I didn't really get to use it much. The game could benefit from a bit higher difficulty in terms of monsters and such to make those upgrades feel needed and/or worthwhile. Also, just having more levels that get harder could work too! Great game for the time frame though, quite polished and fun!

Snake out of Power by Anno 2017-08-01T18:47:35Z

Pretty good game for such a short amount of time! I kind of like its simplicity with your interesting take on a classic game. Makes an already addicting game even more interesting!

Mad Trax by boats 2017-08-01T04:22:04Z

Wow. This game is the whole package. I love the visuals, sounds, music, and a very fun game to boot! I like the management aspects of it and balancing getting further with powering up your guns. I would love to play an expanded version of this game, maybe even for mobile or something! Seriously, great job.

Voyage of the Indefatigable by Jaculabilis 2017-08-20T18:22:55Z

Really cool game, kind of like a mix of FTL and Gods Will Be Watching or something. It is a bit difficult figuring out what to do at first, but once you figure it out it's pretty fun! Lots of nice juggling to do. The only problem is that everyone randomly got killed by a black hole? I'm not sure how I could have prevented that. Anyways, very well one!

No Sorcerer's Sky by TheFlyingKeyboard 2017-08-02T07:32:09Z

As others have said, it is a bit confusing to figure out how to really start, and I think it would be a lot more helpful if you could see your inventory at all times. Still a pretty neat management/resource game!

Last Shine by Fran Segura 2017-08-19T20:00:38Z

Very nice style to the game, feels pretty polished! It got kind of difficult pretty quickly, and I would often get stunlocked in the corner and die. Maybe if you charged a power attack or moved a little faster that could help? Otherwise, I really enjoyed it! The graphics were good and the music fit well.

Urban Campaign by pataya 2017-08-19T19:46:53Z

It's so stylish! Everything just feels extremely polished, especially with all the graphics and animations. I only wish I had someone to play with, but it seems like it would be a really fun and silly game to play with even up to 4 people! Really nice job.

Potential Energy by Carsen D. 2017-08-01T04:29:41Z

@aurynsky-games Thanks for pointing that out. It's been fixed!

@barret907k I'll update the description to let others know, thanks!

Potential Energy by Carsen D. 2017-08-02T07:18:05Z

@matt-fabius @ultrarat Yeah hitting your head on platforms is a bit of a problem. I've fixed them all at this point, but I'm not sure if it's in the spirit of the jam to update it right now, as they aren't necessarily game-breaking. Thanks for soldiering through it though!

Temple of Illumination by Johngun 2017-08-02T18:54:28Z

Cool idea with having a time limit instead of just looking to get the shortest time in games like Super Meat Boy. It gives more of a sense of urgency to finish the level! I like the music and art as well. One problem that I had was on the level where you fall down the pit of spikes and have to steer through them. The camera got pretty wonky and made it hard to see.

Turn Towards the Light by Selgeron 2017-08-15T05:36:38Z

Pretty cool, sonic-like game with the added mechanic of the darkness.. Once you got the hang of how fast you can go it gets fun to run around! My main problem though is that it can make platforming a little frustrating.

Glitch by WhoDKnee 2017-08-15T06:05:48Z

Very nice graphics, as people have been saying. I thought the different effects were cool too, like the inverted colors flickering and all that. It helped really give the game that glitchy feel. The wall jumping could sometimes be a little wonky but thats my only main criticism.

Ted Crashed! by Sebastian-M 2017-08-02T03:21:43Z

Cool concept, I really like the map structure with all the hexagons, reminds me of a board game or something! The one problem I had though was that the game started getting pretty laggy as I connected more power crystals and uncovered more of the map. Could just be my potato computer though. Otherwise, I liked it!

V.E.S.T.A.L.E. by kromeboy 2017-08-14T00:03:12Z

Nice fit to the theme, I thought the battery indication could be a little bit clearer though. Interesting gameplay, nice way to kill a couple minutes.

Deus Lightning Force by Mengane 2017-08-02T18:43:08Z

I really like the art style! I agree that Zeus feels a little bit "slidey" which can sometimes be a little frustrating when trying to center on the light ray. Fun little game though!

Rat blasteroid by Massimog 2017-08-01T20:03:54Z

Once I figured out the teleporting melee mechanic, I quite liked it actually! It feels pretty cool to stun and then teleport for the kill.

Unburdened by jefrsilva 2017-08-02T18:36:00Z

Sadly, for some reason the game didn't run very well on my computer so I couldn't really play it, but I still wanted to stop by and say that the concept is pretty cool! I like the idea of having to lose powers that you have become accustomed to using throughout a game. Having to decide what powers you need or don't need is an interesting idea as well.

daemon by bombjack 2017-08-02T19:00:53Z

Very nice looking and feeling game. The main problem I have though is that the camera doesn't really follow your character closely enough. What I mean is that there were a lot of times where I couldn't see down a pit and ended up landing on spikes that I wasn't able to see because the camera didn't pan back downward. Otherwise, good controls and cool mechanic!

Greenhouse Dystopia by DeadlyAlive 2017-08-02T19:20:16Z

Very cool! The art is very nice, and the gameplay is pretty cool if not quite challenging with having to manage your energy for everything. It does force you to go as quick as possible to get to the next kite though! Nice level design too, the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly but it doesn't feel overwhelming at all. Great job!

Little Light by Qu4k 2017-08-01T02:50:47Z

I like the art style and animation a lot! My main criticisms are that the character moves a little too quickly to stay in control sometimes, and due to the darkness of the levels, sometimes there would be a dark background that I would think is a wall but that one is pretty minor. Otherwise, I thought your game was good!

Saito's Transgression by Kapricorn Media 2017-08-02T05:20:11Z

Wow, I'm blown away by how good the visuals and sounds are with such a short time period to make it. Gameplay-wise though, it can be a bit frustrating if you aren't sure what to do at any given time, because that involves a lot of walking around trying to click things. The slow walking speed makes all the backtracking and searching around pretty tedious after the spell of the fantastic art and atmosphere wears off!

The Last Question by Terribly Awesome Games 2017-08-02T07:12:57Z

Very intriguing and honestly a pretty refreshing and different experience I've seen to come out of a game jam. The sounds and visuals were great and paired very well with the story, and adding the small amount of interactivity with the anagrams made it that much more compelling, instead of just retelling the story just straight up. Really interesting take on the theme as well! An audio and visual experience indeed!

Forgetting Things by player2point0 2017-08-19T20:41:14Z

Interesting take on puzzle platforming where you gain and lose different powers! Having to use different combinations of abilities for a certain level makes it a lot more engaging than just the normal fare of having everything at once. The music was nice and calm, pretty good fit, and I liked the square's comments about some things.

Space Bear Panic by Chris Coe 2017-08-02T07:41:17Z

Cool concept, but for some reason I never even saw the Entity until the very end when I only had one fuel cell left to put in my ship, so that made the game pretty easy. I still enjoyed it though, and liked the pixel graphics!

Batteries in the Dungeon by DerpyJish 2017-08-19T07:44:00Z

Welp, I finished the tutorial, thought to myself, "this was a cool game, very neat mechanics! Too bad it is so short though." And then the *actual game* loaded. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with what you've managed to make for your first LD. Having different enemy types that take different strategies to kill, managing your power, quite a large level size, the list goes on. I thought you did make it pretty clear overall as to how to kill an enemy, or at least once you figured it out you realize that it made perfect sense (I tried to use lightning on the plant at first instead of the fire...), so don't worry about that. I thought it added to the experience as well, and made it like a Binding of Isaac or Crypt of the Necrodancer where you eventually learn all the enemies' weaknesses and such.

A big improvement would just be to add some music, as I think it would work wonders on the overall feel of the game. Otherwise, again, great job!

Oooh, this is great! Everything feels very cohesive with the gameplay, graphics, and music, and it just feels very satisfying and fun. Deaths can sometimes be a little unpredictable, but that's really my only problem! I only wish that my left shift key wasn't broken (making me unable to do the fancy special attacks) so I could get the full experience, but even running around left clicking things was fun so that's saying something!

Interesting game! My only real problem with the gameplay is that sometimes it could be hard to understand if I was even going to line up with the openings or if I would only be one "tile" away or something. It can become pretty addicting though, and if that problem could somehow be fixed then even more so!

Very interesting atmosphere, definitely pretty creepy! Pretty challenging as people have said, I never got past the first level but maybe I'm just bad! Nice job.

No clue why it double-posted, sorry.

Very nice and calming game. I really like the overall atmosphere with the music and bright colors, just something very soothing about it, even as you accidentally cause people's homes to smolder.

Fun little game! I like the idea of it, with having to manage offense and defense using one resource. With a little fleshing out, it could be pretty good!

I really enjoyed the overall feel of the game! The graphical style reminds me of a game that I can't really put my finger on... It's almost like Shovel Knight mixed with VVVVVV? Anyways, that plus the music made a pretty good mood overall. The game didn't run too well on my computer for some reason so I couldn't make it too far, but I wish I could have! Seems promising!
