Very fun, but also a bit stressing. A little more time per room would be nice. Otherwise great work. The music is really stuck in my head now :)
Using mouse for rotation in these games can make them a little difficult. Like the idea and the AI is impressive. Nice work
Fun game, nice gameplay and graphics.
Was so close to finish in first try, but on the last package I took a wrong turn and missed the charging spot, frustrating but fun and I had to try again.
A little sad that there wasn't any music or a few sound effects but other than that, nice work.
Certainly a more creative take on the theme, but a fun one as well. Good job
Easy to pick up, nice and entertaining puzzles. I do miss some sounds or music but otherwise nice work.
Wow this is impressive work for 4 hours especially when thinking of work done on a plane
Great job!
Loved your take on the theme that plays nice with the graphics, less is definitely more here. The AI is great, but still can't beat that green car without crashing. Had a lot of fun with this and with the shorter time you did a great job!
Very cute. Love the stories and the complimenting art work. After playing all these action filled games it was a very nice break to experience something so genuine and down to earth. The everyday struggles of tired parents, running out of power, while trying to get the child to run out of power, was communicated very well. Nice work!
Had fun with this game, especially zapping people in distress to refill my mana meter. I would suggest that you adjust the camera a bit, so that it's possible to see a little further forward and zap those burning people faster. Great work!
Great idea, definitely fitted the theme very well. As others has mentioned the 3rd level is really hard. Good work!
Fun little game, really well done. There was too many batteries around, maybe it would have been a far more risk reward thing, if the enemies dropped these. Good job
Nice take on the theme, I really liked the gameplay although my hand is cramping like crazy now. Good work :)
Very nice game, had a lot of fun. Was a bit hard at first, I failed hard a couple of times, but then I got into the flow. You have to play to the end multiple times to read the stories of the patients, hilarious
Good job
Very impressive work, the gameplay is great and fits the theme very well. The graphics are beautiful, giving a nice mood. The controls are very well tuned for the various platforming challenges and puzzle this you are presented. Awesome work!
Fun game, great art style and a take on the theme. Great job
I really enjoyed this game, also I'm a big fan of PICO-8 games, very nice work!
A nice take on the theme and a very interesting but also fun gameplay. I love the risk reward in buying items between waves, nice idea.
I wish it was easier to start a new game again, the game is just stuck here, whenever you die. Also the music can be a little monotone, especially when playing many times.
Nice job
Really challenging and a nice take on the theme. It takes some time to master. Great work
This is already one of my favorites. Nice graphics, music and gameplay, had a lot of fun with this game. Would love to have a sprint ability but otherwise than that is a very nice game. Great job!
Great idea and very well executed gameplay, had a lot of fun. Graphics and audio are very well done too, great job.
Fun game and a good balance between risk an reward. Great work!
This is really awesome, loved the gameplay, the graphics and especially the mood. Very great job! :)
It's fun but a little hard. I can't seem to find the right solution to keep earth alive. Nice take on the theme, I liked the mechanics but the difficulty needs a bit of fine tuning. Good work
Good game, nice puzzles. Unfortunately I got stuck when placing the battery, after turning back gravity.
Not bad. Even if you had an idea going in, you did a good job embracing the theme.
Wow this was a very fun game, I really liked the platforming puzzles. Very nice take on the theme.
Great job
Nice take on the theme, loved the music and gameplay. It was a bit hard to remember the keys in-game, a small indicator would be nice. As the song progresses the difficulty suddenly spikes a bit.
Other than that a very nice work.
Like the gameboy art style and the game was a lot of fun. Playing on a machine with at touch-pad, instead of a mouse, does make it a bit more challenging though. Good job
I like it and even if you had to cut some features it's still a nice game. I was a bit confused about the turrets at first, since I though I could kill them.
In a scenario like this, where you have a lot of cool ideas, it's really hard to kill your darlings. You made the right choice, finished the game and it's far better than nothing. Good job
Wow, the multiplayer aspects of Journey put into a snake game that's really cool! It might not fit the theme but I totally bought the explanation. Love the many game modes that gives a new refreshing take, on a old classic, I have played to death on my phone. Great mobile support as well and thank you for giving me a chance to have snake on my phone again. Good work!
Fun game, love the sounds, especially when missing a delivery.
Had no issues with the web version here
Good job
Very nice, like the dialogs and the choices along, unfortunately I didn't do so well so I guess I'm stuck there. Great job
Love the art style and the music and as others have mentioned the controls are a bit heavy. Good work
Nice fun game, with a nice take on the theme and a simple gameplay that the music complimented very well.
Good job
Wow a very unique take on the theme which resulted in a cool gameplay. I didn't fully understand it at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was really fun.
This could be a really great mobile game, with a little more polish and better graphics, hope you do something with it.
Good job
Wow this was definitely a hidden gem. Nice gameplay and a great idea about the recharging, adding to the challenge. Loved the music and visuals as well, they complimented the gameplay very well. Nice work!
Wow you manage to tell the stories very well. I really loved the music, the tone and mood was just right to bring out the emotions. Great job
I liked it, but had a bit of problems with the UI, getting stuck there. Nice gameplay, very well done. Good job
Nice game, liked the concept, art, music and sounds.. Had a lot of problems with the controls of the 2 player.
Good work
Hello everyone, thank you so much for playing my game, the ratings and all the feedback you have given.
I agree that the hitbox on the spikes are too big. I did change the size a lot while designing levels, but after reading your feedback and seeing others playing the game, I realize that it was far from enough.
The wall jumping mechanics definitely took the most time and was the one thing I kept tweaking throughout the entire game jam. I'm not super happy with it, but I just had to stop at one point, or else I would probably still be tweaking it.
In an attempt, to implemented a way to get off walls a bit easier/fluent, I introduced a bug almost right before the deadline a and it seems like some of you found it pretty quickly. The wall cling / slide mechanics got at bit messed up, where sometimes you will just slide up the wall and others you will not even cling to the wall at all. The stupid thing is that I tried to fix a problem by tweaking the mechanics once again, where the easiest way would have been a quick change in the level design.. Well.. Lesson learned :grimacing:
As @eric-florio and @sbeif mentions, the theme was a bit of a stretch and I wish I had implemented the theme more into the mechanics and gameplay. It took a long time before I got an idea I like and it started to stress me a bit. I had a good gut feeling about the portals running out of power, so I just went with that.
@pbg wished there was a big temple to explore and that was initially my first idea. I started designing levels when I had about 5 hours left and I had a bit of a creative block at that point. It then seemed a bit easier to make small levels, that had a smaller theme and move on to the next, as soon as I was happy. As an example the theme of the first level was jumping, just to introduce the player to the jump mechanics, the theme of the second level was wall jump and so forth. I tried to introduce the mechanics step by step but as the deadline came closer I started to stress a bit.
@jackyjjc I hope you have downloaded the soundtrack
@dege I used Super Tilemap Editor
@zyxer Yes I have made the music myself. It’s made in Logic Pro X using a mix of virtual instruments from EastWest, specifically the Quantum Leap RA instruments, the Symphonic Choir instruments and Storm Drum instruments. I do a lot of music in my sparetime, which is the reason why that part might be the strongest part of this game.
So sorry to hear that. Could it be an issue with your browser? The game has been developed on a 5 year old iMac, where the browser version runs fine in both Chrome and Firefox. Also it’s been tested on Chrome and Firefox, on a old PC with 4 gb ram, a Core i3 processor and a Geforce “can’t remember the series but pretty old” card without any problems. Your PC must be far better than both those machines?
Again a big thanks to all of you, I'm sorry that I have been so slow to respond on your feedback, I wish you good luck with your games as well!!
Nice game, very interesting take on the theeme. Like the gameplay, especially the whole pattern to create defenders, that made it a bit more challenging.
Good job
Unfortunately the link is broken
Had a couple of pretty intense fights, well definitely be returning to this game again later. Nice graphics, suited the mood very well. Missed the possibility to block once in a while, you really need to read your opponent well right now. Great job!
I really like the happy skipping of the character. He's really positive about being the only person awake, among aliens. It's a simple game but you got something to show and hopefully learned a lot. Good job
Honestly, this of the most original platforms for this Ludum Dare.
The controls are very well polished, the graphics are nice and cute and the sounds fits very well.
Best of all is the take on the theme, where you managed to combine the theme, both into gameplay and level design, very well done.
Great work!
Nice game, liked the platforming a lot and the graphics was very nice as well.
Unfortunately the "running out power" part, with the shooting, needs a bit of tweaking, since it's possible to complete the game, without shooting a single bullet. This can easily be fixed with level design alone, where the player is forced to shoot or you could set a timer on the power, so that the player has to reach the next pickup, within a given time.
Other than that, great work, had fun
A bit cruel but a very fun game, especially when you get the hang of it. Very original take on the theme. Loved the music and graphics which created a nice creepy mood.
My time was 25:41
Nice job
Unfortunately the link to the web version is not working
Had fun, but it gets hard really fast. As the post above mine mentions, it would improve with a little less enemies in the beginning while you still get the hang of the controls
Nice work
Wow I'm really impressed. The mechanics are really good, I really liked the art style and the atmosphere but I'm also very impressed that it is made in your own custom engine. Wished there were more levels but I hope this will be updated later. Great work!
After Twister, you can't have a tornado without the obligatory appearance of a cow that alone "lifts" this game up... Ok I'll stop. Liked the idea, the controls could use a little more polish. Good work.
I love how genres are mixed and you have to be strategic together with some platforming. I could see this as a good couch coop game. Good job
Unfortunately the macOs version does not work
Pretty good game especially for a first. Good job, keep it up!
Yay I saved the world! I really liked the graphics and the gameplay was a very nice take on the theme. Loved the tutorial, no doubt that anybody will be able to know the controls, great work!
Love the graphics and the sounds, but unfortunately not the gameplay. Great work though
Wow very complex game, a lot of detail went into this, which is very impressive for a Ludum Dare game. Very nice tutorial that gets you through all the details. Unfortunately I did not get to complete the game, but will come back later and do.
Nice work
Very fun game and a nice feedback loop with killing enemies and gaining powers which fitted the theme very well. Love the graphics and mood too. Good job
Had a lot of fun with this game, it kinda evolved as you were cruising around shooting enemies and asteroids, suddenly things gets intense, very intense.
It was a little hard knowing where to go, it took me some time to progress to next stage. Maybe a little indicator of where to go, other than the message to go to north east, would help this a bit, especially when getting to the next stage.
Other than that I liked the graphics, music and the whole atmosphere, nice work.
Yay, I escaped! I really liked the gameplay, did a stupid move and almost got cornered by the entity, which led to a tense moment. Love the graphics, which was very nostalgic to me, since they reminded me of Commander Keen 2's overworld. Good job!
Fun gameplay, nice puzzles. The audio gets repetitive really fast, you must have felt the same too, when developing the game. Otherwise nice work
Fun story. Unfortunately I got stuck in a dead end in the maze. I got this working on mac by the following steps. Right click app, click show contents, open resources folder and double click ULTIMATE PROSELYTISM & MIRACLES SIMULATOR 2017/ THE MOVIE THE GAME.love
Really nice game. The graphics are really impressive and creates a really great atmosphere. Loved the gameplay as well, it was way to fun to hide in the closet from the cat only to jump out, scare it and immediately run to safety. He he stupid cat :joy: Very good job!
Like the gameplay and the looks of the game, it gives a nice dark mood. But it might be a bit too dark though, it's a little hard to see what happens in the edge of the level. As others have mentioned the motion blur is a little hard on my machine, which makes the game lag quite a bit when enemies are chasing you.
Other than that I had fun, good work
A bit punishing if you miss a battery, but fun. I got 885 after a couple of tries. Like the music and the mood of the cave. Good job
Liked the concept, but it was hard to find the pirates, especially when I was down to the last one. The area is rather big, so maybe a map or the pirates seeking the player out would help.
Liked the graphics and mood
Good job
Yay I found my body!
I really liked the graphics, audio, the mood and the take on the theme. Some of the bodies are a bit to fast for the camera, otherwise a great job on the game, it was fun
Had fun! It gets hard really fast, but in a good way. The sounds used in the music makes me really nostalgic, it kinda gets that vibe from the good old Adlib days. Great job
Damn those cows are fighting for their lives. The ships flight is a bit too heavy, it's not easy to keep the cows in the beam.
Had fun, good job!
It's always fun to smash stuff and make a mess. It's simple but a lot of fun and a nice take on the theme. My highscore is 8035482 and my final size is 49.79.
Good job
Loved the mood, it was very creepy. It was a little hard to get what the goal was, this needs to be a bit more clear. Otherwise good job, I had fun
Nice concept, but a bit confusing in the beginning. Like the controls, the gameplay, but the music got a bit monotone.
Nice work
A bit hard to get up but otherwise a fun game. My heart has a softspot for PICO-8 games very nice work there
Very fun game. It just goes to show that when shit hits the fan, you're most creative. I can only imagine how much fun you guys must have had, making this game :)
Great work!
Nice game, great questions, too bad you just can't win
I might as well just go get a cat right away.
Even though it's a text-based game, I love that you used Pico-8 for it, great job
Challenging but very fun. Love the artwork, the music, laughed a lot while playing
Great work!
A fun game, got a highscore in there :) The input for the username didn't show the characters. Good work
The music fitted the atmosphere well, but I had a hard time getting used to the controls and since the monsters a pretty hard to kill, it makes the game pretty difficult.
Since you are addressing these issues I will come back later and play this again
A very nice take on the them, very original and I loved that you used PICO-8 for it that's a huge plus in my book.
The different harvester modes was a little confusing at first but after some tries you get the hang of it.
Very nice work
Loved the art style, very nice gameplay too. The control scheme was a bit funky to me, but otherwise a very good job.
Nice game, good atmosphere. I didn't find the teleport until it got really dark. I don't know if the light of the teleport made it easier in the dark or I just got really lucky.
Had fun though, good job
This is an amazing game. The use of the theme, the graphics, mood that compliments the story very well. Very great work
Wow very impressive art, with a lot of detail. Loved the gameplay a lot, very nice work there. The officers was a bit confusing at first, it took some time before the fired their gun. It wasn't until the homeless guys came back they started to do something and then it got really hard all of a sudden
All in all, great work
Fun little game, where both graphics and music creates a very nice mood. Tried some times, but was never successful and couldn't really figure out when to use sleep.
4 hours is not a lot of time to make a game, nice job
