A perfect mood, aesthetics and controls, it's an amazing product.

Very non-standard approach to the theme. Nice!
I've found Shambhala!!
Cool game! I liked the art and sound design. I found the best way to play is to spam the spacebar lol
Interesting idea, i like it!
how i can pass the infinite spawn of the first enemy ? I'm frustrating, i want to see more !
Huray, I’ve found Shambhala :) Cool graphics and gameplay. Love it :) Congratulations!
Nice work for 3 days!!!
Nice work indeed! The graphics and visual fx are cool ; the "hurt" sound effect quickly gets annoying, though. I had a hard time figuring out you could actually hit the lion ; and it's still not clear to me if the temples are going to spawn enemies indefinitely. It's also not really clear if you can really "interact", sometimes nothing happens when pressing "E", although the game is explicitely tell me to do it.
Ace17 (@ace17)-->> Next to a fountain you can drink water, if you press E, water will fill your life with 30 units, If fountain is empty, interacting with it will not get you anything but from the beginning all the fountains are full.
Overall, one of the best games I've play so far in LD39. The sound and art were phenomenal, and the gameplay had many interesting features. Good work!
very original concept. was not able to press Q O_o
bombjack (@bombjack) --> Q is work =) believe me ^..^ if you have a spell then Q send your life for use this spell. However thanks for your feedback ^..^
cool!
I liked the concept but found the game to be too punishing and not challenging enough. Blocking meant the only threat was the pits.
I did beat the game and found it fun.
Pretty neat idea, but it seemed really glitchy to me. Maybe I was missing something, but the enemies seemed to disappear and then reappear, and some places seemed to have infinitely respawning enemies.

Nice visuals! That laugh was really spooky!
=) Game is easy if you look in help menu from main menu of game. ^..^ Scrumplesplunge (@scrumplesplunge) --> Destroy Spawners :)
Fun game, but the controls seems a bit confusing
Flurrih (@flurrih)-->> Sorry we put wrong baner with controls on site , now we corectly it! Thanks for feedback! ^..^
The art style is beautiful, and the concept of loss lifetime to use spells is interesting (maybe an additional visual clue, like the beard turning white, would have been nice). There is a problem with the enemy spawn, too quick. They respawn almost at the same time you kill it.
Pedro Romero (@pedro-romero)-->> "like the beard turning white" Limit time cut this idea from us game. And spawner you can destroy with one hit, well quick spawn enemy is not a problem if you played hardcore games :) However ,Thanks for your feedback ! ^..^
interesting concept/setting! weirdly enough, i havent seen tibet used in much of anything. i'm not a big fan of the controls - i wish you could swing your basic weapon a little farther, at the least. it can also be annoying to fight through the infinite spawners. however, i kept playing through because the art is stunning! a unique style i dont see much of anywhere, but especially in game art. the color pallette really drew me in, too.
great atmosphere, nice graphics and really scary laugh:)
Very pleasing scenery and aesthetics. My only problem was that enemies spawned from shrines too quickly to evade if I ever wanted to get past without fighting to preserve life energy.
Really cool artstyle
Thank you all for the nice comments, its always a pleasure to hear feedback!
Well done, nice art and sound effects. I find the movement and fighting a bit weird though.
rEaX (@reax) -->> this is just a style of animations ^..^ However , Thanks for feedback!! ^..^
The sounds were well done! When I got to the end I found out I could hold "F" and slam the space bar to never die and kill everything haha!
Not sold on the audio. The art is great! And I definitely like the idea of losing life as "power". The mechanics feel odd...
nice little fighting game. Pretty easy to get forward, and swordfighting logic works nicely. good work.
Loved the art style, very nice gameplay too. The control scheme was a bit funky to me, but otherwise a very good job.
I like the style :o !
Nice idea and graphic, even if animation could use more frames. Constant spawn of enemies makes game into tedious slow walk with constant spaming of spacebar. Earthquake effect looks really confusing, I think it would be better if earth would only move up/down. There is also a bug where sword doesn't take Y axis into consideration so you can slash enemies that are bellow /above you.
Cool graphics, though controls could've definitely been better. Maybe next time you can do some sprite animations through code (tweening etc) this adds a lot to the game and gamefeel
I love the "atmasphera" !
Really cool atmosphere and design! The aesthetics (backgrounds, characters) were ultra nice. Animation was quite basic though. The character floated like a few pixels over the background, feet didn't touch ground (hitbox problems or accidentally miscooordinated?) a fix for that would be cool and make the game smoother. The voice effects were awesome (a bit reaper-ish that's badass), but the ugh ugh ugh was really really annoying, a bit too invasive to my taste. Background music would have been cool. Really well explained. The game was too hard for me, became tedious after fourth try. Weird mapping of jump, tricky to take control of. Also, I had to change browsers to make it work (crashes in chromium). Otherwise really neat game, quite fun, would give it another try to attempt progressing in it :)
The art looks amazing, love the paper-y aesthetic. The narrator sound effect was nice, gave out the evil vibe. Especially the evil laugh when the character dies. Losing power was well represented as visual cue which was cool. However I find the actual gameplay a bit lacking compare to the amazing art this game has. The attack and defend mechanics is a bit basic, there is no point in defending because the enemy just keep attack if you keep defending. The enemy also just keep spawning so I couldn't really progress. I managed to progress and sealed one of the spawn by forcing my character to walk pass the spawn but yea not very great. I tried to interact with the life well and nothing happened even though the text prompted me to press E but when I did press E, my character's life wasn't regenerating. So my character died there :(
Overall, solid art and sound. I suspect you probably ran out of time to polish the gameplay which is a shame. Love to see an improved version though!
The sounds are really great and the effects when you use items are great. Good job!
Great game, nice graphics and muscic. I really enjoyed playing it. It is easy to get full life holding f and spaming space close to spawn ;p Well done!!
Nice graphics, good interpretation of the theme
I really dig this art style, and I liked the idea of choosing between casting spells and having life. I liked the idea of blocking in combat but I found myself hammering attack most of the time—which was also fun!
Very nice game with very good graphics! Good job!
Nice game here! I love the asian aesthetics. I didn't use the defend mechanic, just for information. Good work :)
Hi, guys!
Finished your game! Lot of work was done, and it is really good, but on my opinion it lacks playtesting and game design fixes.
Stucked on this moment for a long time and closed the game: TIBET QUEST by rapter - Google Chrome 2017-08-04 01.35.35.png But then opened the game second time a little bit later and figured that I need to jump and attack the scroll.
1. **To kill everyone** you can just hold "F" (defense key) and quickly repetitive click on "Space". Or **just click "Space" really fast** during the run. This point removes any challenge from the game completely.
2. **Really hard to figure how to destroy spawn points on statues.** To make player feel how to destroy spawn points it will be enough to implement an animation of spawn points taking damage. Because for my first two runs I did not figured out that I should attack scrolls. For all the scrolls before the statue I thought that deactivation triggers when I running through them.
3. When you can not figure out how to destroy spawn points, **frequently spawning units with repels on spawns** becomes really frustrating. It can be fixed by placing at least a few spawn points on start of the game with bigger spawn cooldowns. This will make a clearer understanding for the player how to interact with spawn points from the beginning.
Also you can just make a platform near the first statue spawn point and everything will become pretty clear. platform.png
Very good mood, sounds are excellent. Maybe timings could be tuned a little as spamming space seems to be a good way to go and enemies respawn hyper quickly.
Great concept and art!
The art was really stylistic and has the feel of Japanese paper art. Gameplay was okay, and though there were some collision issues, I could still carry on with the game. The dog statues and infinite spawns were too hard though, and I think the difficult can be reduced.
Has been fixed real bugs from game: 1)Spam [F + Space]; 2)OY axis issues;
Nice game, it did seem a bit like mashing spacebar was the best way, and the audio became a bit hectic. I thought it looked really nice my only real issue is that the footstep audio didn't quite match up with the animation in a few ways, it seemed faster than the animation and it played while in the air. I know that might seem like quite a nit picky point, but for me personally it was really breaking my immersion and I couldn't stop focusing on it. I didn't know how to do the last temple thing at the end it disappeared but enemies still spawned from it. All in all, a good well rounded entry good job :)
Really nice game, with unique art style. In my opinion audio could be better, because it is somehow irritating. Mechanics are nice, but needs more polishing. Player movement could be better, but is not bad.
Really good game, I really enjoyed playing and the combat is surprisingly deep. It could do with being a bit more responsive. I also fell of a couple of platforms - either because I am useless - or the platforms are a bit misleading. It also would've been nice to have some view of how much spells cost. Also, just something that was a bit confusing; For some reason i couldn't progress between level 1 and 2 unless I killed this "boss" thing, Was that a boss? Also, Thanks for playing our game too, much appreciated!
Great art. great game overall. congrats.
I love the artwork and concept, very unique. Took me a while to understand the spell collection and I think that the enemies spawn a little quickly so its easy to be overwhelmed. Really enjoyable though and I think you've created a unique game world. Great job.
I loved the idea of running out of life esperance ! Also the mood is really here =) I find it a bit a shame that spamming spacebar can give you a large advantage on ennemies if your keyboard is reacting enough. A nice entry for a ludum, still ! :D
