Really nice artstyle and sounds with a good spin on the theme! However I found the controls to feel incredibly floaty(maybe by design) so I found it difficult to move the character around. Also it wasn't too clear what exactly I had to be looking for. I ran up to a power socket hoping that would work but I just pushed it slightly. The game still has some potential is pretty fun so good job!

I love the theme of the game, great interpretation of the prompt.
The controls did feel very floaty but that really created the challenge of the game, learning how to wrangle your slippery character was quite a challenge. However I just found it a bit too slippery to be enjoyable.
Still great premise, lovely animations, sweet music.

I feel like the only place this game suffered was the controls, they aren't bad the just seem a little too stiff. the sound and mood to this game is really good. I almost won on my second go.
Lovely graphics =). The controls feel kind of heavy, making it hard to move to where I'd like to move.
Great drawings! The controls were a bit clunky, got frustrating quickly. I dig the open world GTA thing going on though, fun interpretation of the prompt.

We are working on a post-jam version that will adress the controls and have a bunch more levels, so stay tuned! @dreadloaf @reBTF @mmason @gghust1995 @snotrocket
The original idea was for the game to be even faster, I guess that way the delayed controls would at least have a physical explanation. But alas, it was too fast!

Just great. The arstyle reminds me of Battle Block theater, witch i love. My only complaint would be the delay on controls.

I laughed out loud when I saw the theme. And you have some interesting, cartoonish drawing aesthetics. Nice work there! I'd git a 6 in the "mood" category but there's no room for the stars. But as it was said above, controls could improve quite a bit.
Controls were janky but that added to the challenge. Really enjoyed the game! While you could have added a bit of polish here and there the game has fantastic art and catchy music!

Love the art, very kinetic and cool. I also like the little morty's walking around. It does feel that once you get a big crowd of cops it's almost impossible to do anything more. The music has a great energy for the game. Really liked this one, great work!
The vector is really 5 star aces, but the controls felt a little floaty and difficult to control. Some sound fx when charging the phone would be useful to indicate that its charging successfully. Police is a challenge to dodge. Really love all the funny interactions with the people and the objects moving around. Definitely a 5 star on the humor side as well!
This game is cool, the art is beautiful and the sound is pretty good. The only negative point is that the character "slips" on the ground and this gives an impression of loss of control and a vulnerability to cops (mostly when there are many cops).
I like the art very much and the music is fun and works well with the theme of the game i think it gives you a bit the feeling of hurry. Controls (in the web version) feel a bit sluggish especially when he jumps? over a table. I think i finished the video/game but i did not realy get a message or win screen so i am not sure if i won. But i liked it fun to play.
Echoing what others have said. Amazing art style and design but the controls feel off to me also. Sorry not more helpful.
In the web version the character almost does not move at all. I did find it hard to control him, especially with the swing the camera does, and there was no immediate feedback to let me know I was charging my phone (other than the bar which took me a while to notice as I tried to charge but wasn't sure if I was. lol). However, the overall idea is funny, fits the theme, the graphics are fun, and music fit well too.

Great graphics and music. Unfortunately, the controls didn't seem to work for me - I'd push WASD and the character would move incredibly slowly - has something changed since the earlier comments, as it was previously described as too floaty?
As I say, though, the art is great.

In behalf of the team, I want to thank you all for the kind words and for giving our game a fair shot. I'll proceed to reply to you all with my own take on the matter.
@rubr Fun fact! The Behemoth, studio that made BattleBlock Theater and others, is one of my main inspirations. If the art looks like that, it's because of that exactly. Sorry that the controllers didn't live up to their quality though, but we'll get on that with a post-jam update!
@jegus9 We settled up very quickly with the theme. We brainstormed for a few minutes, and this was so silly we had to give it a shot. There's a lot of untapped potential and even some features that didn't make the cut, but we'll think on them after we fix the current issues with the game. Thanks!
@jaggent-aka-shouke Glad that you liked it! Even if it added to the challenge, it's still no excuse for poor performance, so we'll fix the controllers for a better, more polished experience that feels challenging on its own merits. Enjoy the jam!
@joemag I wanted to celebrate the third season of Rick and Morty, and this kinda helped :P We really need to rebalance the movement and the cops, so we'll work on that in a future update, thanks!
@randomphantom Glad that you liked some aspects of the game! We had a lot of fun adding stuff to move around, but we should really have done more to make the game feel more responsive. Noted!
@alexis-cheron Noted as well. We'll make it less slippery when we get to update the game!
@aterlamia We ran out of time for some important things, so I don't think there's a realy win screen. Shame, but it's something we'll have to adress! If you think you won, you most certainly did!
@joshburleson Just the comment is enough help for us. It's more confirming feedback, so thanks a bunch!
@prodigalson I also have problems on the Chrome web version. Consider checking it in other browser. It's still a bother though, so I'm hoping to push for a downloadable version as soon as possible. I'm glad that you still found something good on the game :)

I like it! It's a pretty hilarious game. I don't know if it's a bug that in the web version I was moving slower than a snail, but it definitely made me freak out a bit. :joy::joy::joy: 7/10!
A fun little game! The graphics are really nice, although the controls seem to be a bit... off... Doesn't feel very responsive on starting up and turning due to the slow pickup speed, which has gotten me arrested more than once! The jump mechanic was an interesting solution to not getting players stuck, but once I ended up leaping against the wall and was unable to fall or move. Still, the gameplay is fun enough, good job!
Also, on a side note, problems in Chrome. Really slow. Used Mozilla to play it properly.
Nice game. I love the graphic design, very smooth. The controls are a little to hard, but the game is still fun. Storywise, I was a little surprised, that the police arrested me for just walking down the street. Maybe they should wait till after you steal laptops? Very cool game tohugh!

Pretty tough game! The art is nice and the mood is pretty good! The idea of having the cops chase you as you're breaking in and charging your phone is really funny! I enjoyed playing for sure!
Nice Game! the game had wonderful graphics, some nice music and a good idea. What else could you need in a game :). i enjoyed it very much and i'm looking forward to your future projects
Great music and very professional art. I liked the different feel of the controls near the computers. Was a nice touch.

@ProdigalSon thanks for the feedback! There was supposed to be a sound feedback when charging, but due to some error to caused by either the tool or the fool, it was not set to loop so it was always finished before it could play :( I also answered your comment on Itch, if you mind. According to my tests and evidenced by @justinooncx, Chrome (WebKit) seems to have an issue running the game (which is surprising), while other engines run fine.
@grandtheftmarmot It was supposed to be the character jumping/sliding over the tables (and trashcans), as @justinooncx observed! That is also why @aterlamia observed the controls as worse during the jump: you can't change direction mid-air.
We'll be working this next weekend on a post-LD version that will adress the controls and add more polish (such as an end screen and proper feedback, as well as more levels).

A Linux build would be nice so I can try the game. The web version both with Chrome and Firefox running on Linux atleast made the character move really really slowly and made the game basically unplayable unfortunately.

The movement of the hero is very messy and hard to control. However the art is amazing and the music is nice
html build movement issues :(
