LD39 — Running out of Power

Battery Life by justinooncx 2017-08-01T14:49:38Z

That was a pretty nice game, I like the "game inside a game" style, and the music also stood out. I don't know if it's because I suck at this game, but I spent a lot of time waiting for the batteries to charge :c

JouleThief: Charge Your Phone by kroltan 2017-08-01T15:02:17Z

I laughed out loud when I saw the theme. And you have some interesting, cartoonish drawing aesthetics. Nice work there! I'd git a 6 in the "mood" category but there's no room for the stars. But as it was said above, controls could improve quite a bit.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

The more high level the engine, the worse it gets by Ajayajayaj 2017-12-06T03:04:40Z

"You cannot lose". Yesssss, finally a game I won't suck at!

By the way, it looks like you had a tough time, but you have a viable product in the end. That was pretty nice. And if you didn't enjoy Unity... take a look at the Godot engine. I moved from Unity and never went back.

Hover Burner by TimBeaudet 2017-12-08T15:35:41Z

I couldn't do much since I suck at racing games. Even so, this fits in the genre pretty well and also has a reasonable set of original ideas. Music was also pretty polished. Congratulations

Cat-apults by Laylow 2017-12-06T16:12:40Z

I like cats so I like this. Too bad the game's objective is to get rid of them, I wanted to keep them... :( By the way I couldn't beat the AI. And a multiplayer would be great, yes.

Jazzy Beats by Moski 2017-12-06T02:47:52Z

Nice game, the most amazing thing I can tell are the graphics. Just let the artist know that his/her style is pretty awesome (as I said before in the GDN server, very Skullgirls-ish style). Melee mechanics are also hard to do, and you did do ok at it. You guys have been doing these LD runs for a while, am I right?

Chick Magnet by one-seed-fruit 2017-12-08T21:39:04Z

Extra points to you for using Godot. And the Godot 3 beta! You're actually the first I've seen in the jam that put the beta version to use. (but y u no export the linux build :( i downloaded the source and played through the engine itself)

Now talking about the game, your way of making tutorials is something I enjoyed. Writing next to the initial spot, simple and to the point. The graphics were funny but the rest of your content is pretty alright. A nice soundtrack would fit in well, but since this is a Compo game, maybe you're not a musician so I don't blame you. More content in general would make the game more interesting but mechanics are the true core of a game, and since you did that well, you have good foundations on this LD run.

Overall good game.

Cat Basket by Pohka 2017-12-06T03:26:37Z

My thoughts on it. First the good things: - This game has cats, I like cats, so I like cats in games. - It has cats - Nice cat modelling - Cats - Approach to the theme was original. - It gets very bullet hell-ish if there are many ghosts nearby. I actually love that, because it makes it a mechanically demanding game. Also cats. - The music was pretty fine. Oh, and the kittens sound when you pick them up. Yes I really like cats.

Now what could improve: - I'm really missing the ability to rotate the cat... I mean the camera. In these kinds of 3D games your perspective becomes limited if the camera is fixed. If you were aiming for more of an isometric view, the camera should at least be a little more distant - Apparently I can't die. I know, I'm bad at videogames, but come on, you don't need to babysit me like that. hehehehe. - Some collisions didn't really work. I don't think the car was colliding at all. Was that supposed to happen?

By the way, here's a screenshot of me being immortal: Selection_212.png

Soul Chase by aemiliu5 2017-12-06T16:23:27Z

First of all thanks for the Linux build. Why can't other Unity developers be like you? Makes me feel bad.

The best things in the game for me were the audio work and and creepy atmosphere, as for the menu with a lot of features. The controls were pretty intuitive. As for the game mechanics, I think the reaper is just too fast and hard to control, that was a bit of a nuisance.

Surplus Snakes by juicy_vegetable 2017-12-07T00:02:47Z

My pros and cons for the game:

Pros: for some reason I loved the death animation LOL and the soundtrack too. You made a nice approach to the theme based on some classic games.

Cons: I found the snake hard to control. If I could do that with the mouse, it'd be an improvement. Also, some pellets are spawning too close to the walls. That's kinda bothersome because you know, you can die really easily collecting them. A minimal distance from walls when spawning should be ok

COIN MANIA by Ayushman 2017-12-04T23:56:45Z

I enjoyed the idea of turning a platformer game into a decision making game as well. Really interesting, and considering you didn't have that much time, that turned out to be an ok game. The music was... interesting. Could be better, but I don't blame you, composing demands a lot of time. Also I'm curious about how did you make his jump physics? Did you use a gravity module, or did you try to build it from scratch in the code? I just had the impression that I was going down a lot faster than I went up.

Dungeon of Cursed Artifacts by Florian van Strien 2017-12-06T23:52:44Z

I have to admit I ragequitted after my 3rd room 5 attempt. Looks like holding the dot button and waiting for the HP to regenerate only works for the earlier floors :(

Anyway the game was original. The fact that you're using ascii art and mostly (it seems) web programming makes it stand out in the crowd.

A Social Life by Owen Davies 2017-12-06T17:44:04Z

Plot twist: if you get to 100 followers, you get a cutscene of Trump and Putin making out.

Re:Tileation by Akusan 2017-12-06T23:23:31Z

I really like how you made the double jump and the megaman parkour stuff. Those were some really interesting mechanics, and it's something that I value. But... the cursor was way too sensitive. I don't know if that's because my resolution is too much or something else, but it was kinda uncomfortable to aim the shots. Also checkpoints would be nice.

Soundtrack was also ok and the main character has some personality.

Dream Roamers by Jegus9 2017-12-04T00:45:36Z

EDIT 5/12/17: THE BUG WAS FIXED. There was a conditional error in my bug that triggered the damage animation if the bomber was shot during the death animation, thus preventing him from dying. Thanks for reporting everyone!

ATTENTION: So, I was reported about the bug where the monster with the bomb head stands still after dying, stops being processed and locks the player in the room forever. It seems like a pretty common bug, because I barely released the game and was reported about it 3 times already. I still don't know what is causing it and it's weird how that never happened to me after dozens of times testing.

Since this bug interrupts the gameplay, I can (and must) fix this during the compo voting time, and I won't be able to do it today, but will do it ASAP. Once I have the time, I should be able to do this in only a few hours.

Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of the game :3

Dream Roamers by Jegus9 2017-12-05T21:10:07Z

@noethelazydev I just fixed the bug, it was an animation error. Thanks everyone for reporting!

Dream Roamers by Jegus9 2017-12-06T17:28:02Z

@florian-van-strien i wish i had made this game harder just so that people could look at more game over quotes heheh

Dream Roamers by Jegus9 2017-12-08T23:03:43Z

@hilvon Oh? You're the first one to have this issue to close the game

I'd like to hear more. Which build did you run?

Dream Roamers by Jegus9 2017-12-09T11:37:54Z

@r2d48

I used Godot 2.1.4 as the game engine, Piskel to draw the graphics and LMMS for music and SFX (using the sfxr plugin), that was about it.

Heavy Hearts by Badly Drawn Rod 2017-12-09T00:16:36Z

I found good things here (as always, you used Godot -> extra points from me), but I'll give my suggestions on things that could improve right away.

First, that mary had a little lamb made me tired eventually. It's a compo game I know, and composing an original song can be a lot of work and in 48h it can really turn your schedule into hell, but something else besides that leitmotiv would make the game more... "listenable".

Second, playing the same level over and over again doesn't really add up, so what I would do about this is a random level generator here, to spawn the platform nodes randomly but nicely along the screen. It can be tricky to do that if you didn't think about anything in advance, but it can also save some work if you do (I don't know if you tried that, in fact I can't figure out much about your game by just looking at your code since your workflow with Godot in general is pretty different from mine).

Third, trying to climb up the level with only one balloon made my arm hurt. And I'm one to talk, I've been single until my 19 years LOL, so definitely take this into account.

Noah's Apartment by GastricSparrow 2017-12-08T15:27:35Z

Everything in the game is so damn cute. That was pretty fun. I wish I could remember which one eats which in the randomized level, but I don't really mind. Good job.

The Hunger Maims by SubZtep 2017-12-06T16:38:55Z

The character modelling as interesting, and I liked the sound effects (is that you making noises at the microphone?). The bird drawings are ok. And by the way are the levels randomly generated? I had that impression after a few runs. Anyway, it's a good game overall.

I'd put a nice soundtrack to fit with the game.

But there's just one thing. I don't know if it's just me, but your game crashed when I was going to level 6. Here's the screenshot. Selection_213.png

Color Collider by SarizaGames 2017-12-06T16:49:02Z

That was pretty nice. The game gets really tense as more colors get stacked. It'd be nice to have a guide explaining which colors can get mixed together, I kinda had to learn this by trial and error.

yes, if the music wasn't that loud it'd be nice but that's not a problem at all since the soundtrack was pretty fine.

Also maybe make the "level" a little bit larger so we can enjoy the game for longer?

Nice job anyway

Space Dungeon by bbaf 2017-12-08T16:11:29Z

I'm a fan of bullet hell-ish games (and also a Touhou player) and one in 3D is a pretty good idea. The graphics were fine, but I have some suggestions to improve the game overall.

First of all (and you're not the first, I've been saying this for many, MANY 3D games in this event), I would love to be able to rotate the camera. The vision gets limited if I can't do that.

Second, spamming shots by clicking is gonna make the user's fingers tired eventually. This is a fairly hard game, and you have to expect that maybe the player is a tryhard gamer and he wants to play the run over and over again, until he beats it. For that kind of guy. if he could just hold the mouse button and keep shooting, it'd be so much better because his fingers wouldn't be fried at the end.

Finally, the player is hard to control. It seems like you made a rigid body with physics simulation, but for that kind of game I like using a kinematic so that his speed is constant and the player can control it better. I think this is necessary because the dodges here are very precise.

There are some other minor things, like invincibility frames that could help at playability if you were using them, and the soundtrack, it's by no means bad, but it just sounded unfitting (to be honest it's kinda fitting but a little sarcastic if you know what I mean)

Anyway, congratulations for this LD run. I hope I wasn't too harsh, but I believe that mechanics trump content, and with more polished mechanics this game has so much potential for LD. If you have the time and patience I recommend doing a post-jam version and publishing it separately.

Friends.OS by Rob White 2017-12-06T22:57:06Z

The idea was pretty nice. I'd put a tutorial in the beginning just to set the player into the game mechanics. I had to learn some things by trial and error (like I didn't know i had to type to answer that friend at first).

Save_Starship_R2D48 by R2D48 2017-12-08T23:49:07Z

As some previous comments said, it's a simple but fun game. It gets tense as more ships approach. I didn't find any problem playing it on the browser.

An improvement that could be made would be to display the player's current HP, aside from other things that have already been suggested by previous comments like saving the high score. i don't think it needs to end at 100, you could get more and more enemies and maybe a new feature such as a "bomb" that clears all enemies up to a certain distance, but has a long cooldown.

I enjoyed the audio work in general, both the music and the SFX.

Feed Them by Fis 2017-12-08T15:43:29Z

Very nice for a first LD entry. I wish mine was that glorious lol.

What impressed me the most was the in game AI. The soundtrack too. The game is well balanced. I just wish the controls option would work.

Chick'n Invasion by NoeTheLazyDev 2017-12-04T22:40:51Z

I don't endorse violence against animals. I do, however, find it hilarious. Great game, especially the music. If I had to suggest an improvement, I wish I could attack the chickens by clicking, it'd feel more comfortable for me. (final score was 23000 something, I can't remember heheh)

Coffee Break by Akscan 2017-12-08T21:22:19Z

The issues that I found were already discussed in previous reviews (like the fact that the game just suddenly starts and you have to find out what to do by trial and error), so I don't think it's necessary to dwell a lot on that. Aside from it, I'm going to say that with more graphic polishing and interfaces this game definitely has potential.

Infected Pong by PhillSerrazina 2017-12-09T02:12:46Z

I hated it, 5/5.

I mean, there's not much more to say. The more popups in my screen, the more upset I get. You did execute the idea of the theme pretty well.

Cohesion by alottabit 2017-12-09T01:59:18Z

That was a damn good Compo entry. Using C and SDL to make your game, in 48h, while everyone else is doing it with an engine? That's *hardcore*.

Some levels got me stuck for several minutes, but I could complete all 25 in the end. Really nicely developed puzzles, and the relaxing music prevents me from raging after many unsuccessful attempts to solve a level.

Really, I've been leaving some harsh reviews on some compo games around this event, but this one does stick out of the crowd. Congratulations.

LD42 — Running out of space

TrackBlasters by paulloz 2018-08-15T20:43:51Z

My suggestions for this game would be to make the player turn around faster and also to turn the camera along with the player direction. I know that might not be what was intended for the original controls of the game, but IMO the controls were a bit loose and turning around with A/D is better when the A/D directions are indeed your left/right.

Personally I like the pixel art (that dino head was pretty amazing).

Growing Out by superpokeunicorn 2018-08-15T15:35:43Z

It was commented before but I think it's worth saying, please find a better font. those small letters are pretty hard to read. Also it's great that you managed to make an OST in 48h, but I'd make a longer loop than that, it gets boring way too quickly.

Gameplay-wise, it's great. I didn't manage to complete it, but you've payed attention to things that are usually overlooked by compo entries, like check points. And a nice cross-platform format.

RC Adventures by teekeks 2018-08-15T18:03:54Z

The game crashed during my gameplay, right after I respawned for a reason (I think I can't replicate it sadly, but it's likely a GDScript exception that happens at respawn). You should check it out.

Grid Battle by Sarah 2018-08-15T13:58:35Z

Sure, it doesn't have a lot to do with the theme. Still, the UI and sprites are so well made, I gotta give you the credit for it.

As for the gameplay, it'd be nice to give the player more time to think about the combos than just a few seconds.

Field of Bodies by muriel 2018-08-15T15:44:10Z

I'd suggesting changing the controls to keep shooting as you hold the mouse button, like Monolith. It's more comfortable for the player than to keep clicking repeatedly. Also since you exported a .jar, remember it's cross-platform, so you can add more platforms to the files section.

But despite what some people said above, having the player always looking at the cursor isn't really a problem for me. Good job overall.

LegDos by ChaosTheLegend 2018-08-13T23:20:10Z

The idea of the game was pretty nice. But in my case, I didn't have to manage the space in the disk at all. I entered the games folder and didn't know how to exit, and for the rest of the playtime all I needed to do was pick between work and play games. It's ok, these kinds of games were resource management is involved are kind of hard to balance and in three days you just don't have enough room for playtesting. Also the popup notifications were often on top of that button and it was kinda of annoying.

The program names were pretty funny though. And by the way, the Linux build works just fine, thanks for porting the game to our OS.

LegDos by ChaosTheLegend 2018-08-15T15:19:24Z

@chaosthelegend it was the 1152x864 resolution, on full screen. It's not a bug that interrupts gameplay, so I don't know if you'ree allowed to fix it during voting time, but you can make separate builds.

The Red pixel by RainbowKappaGames 2018-08-14T00:33:17Z

It's ironic how the description says it's a broken platformer but this is actually one of the most fun games I've played in the jam. It's challenging and interesting how everything that looks like a bug (like those spikes only hurting you when you enter their collider area) just seems to fit as a feature.

DE/VOID by randomphantom 2018-08-15T13:40:56Z

Very good for a compo entry. You also game some attention to the UI features (the sfx/vgm bars), most compo games overlook those details. The minimalistic graphics were a good choice because they're simple to execute.

This isn't a game issue but I couldn't get past stage 3. I think it's a good idea to record a gameplay video of your game and make a blog post with it, it'll help you promote your art. Overall, good job, hope you make it to the top 100 in the compo at least.

Running out of Toaster by Jegus9 2018-08-14T00:42:26Z

@trystan-sarrade the yellow things are lamps (and secretly checkpoints) @vincent-knauss @pedro-m-marangon that's interesting, if you could, try to tell me in which lamp you got stuck? Like, what is nearby? If there's a bug that interrupts gameplay, I should fix it.

Running out of Toaster by Jegus9 2018-08-15T14:47:11Z

The post compo versions were added on the itch.io page with improvements based on some of your feedback!

The Last Wall by C1FR1 2018-08-15T15:46:50Z

I had the same issue as @alexey-akulovich, so I didn't rate your game. Message me if you fix it :v:

Collapsing Space by aurelwuensch 2018-08-13T23:00:56Z

I made it only 15% through the wormhole thing. God dammit tunnel vision.

Pretty simple game but you did an OK job overall. I'd just make an algorithm to prevent the green things from spawning parallel to each other. And I can't hear the music, for some reason. Am I doing something wrong?

Beaver Pitch by Andy D 2018-08-15T16:44:11Z

You just made a Ludum Dare Compo game in the most unlikely language and engine you could find. A game in 48 hours, in Lisp? You are a brave motherfucker.

Anyway, honestly I think the gameplay stops being fun within some minutes, the difficulty didn't seem to scale much and some beavers seem to have a problem with their AI (they spawn and walk away from the logs, then come back, then run away again). But I gotta give it to you, you made a game in mother freaking Lisp. Congratulations.

Roham! by Fenderbate 2018-08-15T15:07:05Z

I think just about everything I had to say has already been said. Yellow lasers are too OP, mouse control would be better, etc cetera. Aside from that, good to know you're using Godot. And I didn't personally think the game was too hard in general, it's pretty fun.

JUNKYARD by NOTBADGUN 2018-08-15T13:18:27Z

So, I liked the mechanics overall. It seems like the typical addictive mobile game, with a casual gameplay a non-gamer could spend hours on. The music was pretty simple, but still, I have some respect for people who made the OST at a compo entry, because it's an entirely different workflow.

Overall, simple game, but solid, no major bugs or awkward gameplay features. Nice job!

Armageddon by Swess 2018-08-15T15:17:16Z

Thanks for the Linux build. It's a really short game, wish the fire would scale just a little bit slower so I could enjoy the game for a longer time, and as it's already been said, there seems to be an issue with the menu screen responsiveness.

Aside from that, good job. I like it when compo entries have an OST, it takes quite an effort to try and compose something in such a short amount of time.

Gassy Dancer [LD42] by PenguinPotential 2018-08-15T14:58:09Z

IMO the controls were pretty weird and I don't know if that's the intention, but I just spammed the fart and farmed score indefinitely without a problem, so it became like a button smasher. But aside from that, the game is well drawn and the theme was hilarious. Please keep making games.

Herding Humans by MWB 2018-08-15T20:35:58Z

Kinda the same as it's been said already here, the character rotation needs to be a bit faster. That would mostly fix the issue with the gameplay.

Space Ninja by BlueBlu 2018-08-15T16:30:49Z

It's like dark souls but darker.

Jokes aside, I saw the dev log already and I get your point, but the fix was necessary IMO. Also you could switch your controls from ZXC to Q/E/R like FPS games usually do, it's more comfortable and players need to move their hands less. And nice audio work.

Padundle by LSD 2018-08-15T20:26:13Z

This is an OK piece of work but it had the potential to be a lot better with some more features added. Like for example, speed bonuses/slowdown, blocks that stop the paddle and you have to dodge them, time stops, it has so much room for improvement. You could continue the development and make a nice mobile game.

Memory Muncher by AddVector 2018-08-15T13:30:26Z

I like this game. It's cute, and as an Osu player I'm a fan of those muscle memory-intensive gameplay.

I'd suggest is to change your color palette a little bit. Choose less saturated colors, too much saturation hurts the eyes. Also, I don't know what to to at the enter name screen, it doesn't seem to respond to any button. Am I doing something wrong?

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Rest In Peace by Somnium 2020-10-05T12:22:08Z

well done for a compo entry! one thing that I love (and use in my games often) is this dark, morbid atmosphere. and i always wanted to do something around this genre.

some things in my mind after I finished the game. the audio is *good*, but it could be a longer loop. for the playtime, which was about 3-4 minutes for me, it seemed to drag a little. it's ok, the time was short indeed, but one fun way to build upon the audio compositions is to introduce some new track on the background (it can be just a chord with some vibrato) and just crtl-v the rest, you can make several minutes of audio that way!

graphically i think this is decent, but de-saturating the colors and making them fainter would definitely contribute for the creepy vibe of this game.

congratulations overall.

2020-10-05_09-16.png

PolyFury by Dom Harris 2020-10-06T16:57:45Z

so, i have good and not so good things to say about this. i'll go with the good ones first.

first of all, the audio is pretty clean and i like the choice of colors and the presentation in general. the game poses some challenge, which is always fun. also, some bullet patterns are fancy and well thought, which takes some work, not going to lie.

but some things made the experience itself a little bit awkward. first, the circle-wise movement, combined with the screen shake that always happens whenever you move. and the movement is way too fast sometimes, which makes it hard to micro dodge. a suggestion to improve this: implementing a "focus on shift", like some bullet hell games normally do, so you can move slower while holding shift.

the 3d perspective makes it hard to "read" the bullets in advance when the player is not close to the camera.

overall i get why some people could potentially like this, but the mechanics felt way too awkward for me. i rated giving it the benefit of the doubt and admitting that it's maybe just me in particular who didn't have such a good experience, and recognizing the game for what you guys have done right.

Infinitely Worse - A Necromantic Adventure by mikelovesrobots 2020-10-17T15:31:41Z

at first i didn't get what's good about this because honestly i haven't played clicker games at all, but that was a nice take on that.

my feedback would be the same as someone said above, having a clickable which costs zero since sometimes i found myself having to wait until my income raised enough. i don't think it's cool to stay idle in those situations

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-05T00:01:02Z

@adroitconceptions thanks for the feedback, the input thing was a breaking bug that happens when you input something out of bounds. it's solved now :)

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-05T01:47:42Z

@listonos i just found out a lot of things i was doing was usual for unix systems but for windows, the input process the way i was doing was a real pain. thanks for telling me, i think i managed to fix it now and i trimmed out a lot of useless feedback like this “Please enter an acceptable integer”.

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-05T14:14:49Z

@john-gabriel fun fact when i was playtesting i actually voted for the wrong person but hadn't gained a lot of trust, so the one who was chosen to be executed by the majority was another character. and it just ended up being the killer xD

so yeah if you can definitely guess the killer by pure luck, but using abilities and exploring during nighttime are supposed to be the optimal strategy.

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-05T14:17:34Z

@scottgoldsmith @mark-kelly thanks, i'm glad you guys enjoyed it

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-05T17:33:14Z

@cursedsoldier (WARNING: SPOILERS!)

yes if you don't use your abilities well or at all, you are left to your own luck. but *some* abilities are pretty useful in finding out who's the killer.

for example, getting Night Owl (Odette's skill) lets you walk around at night and not be instantly killed upon meeting the murderer, and Pick Lock (Amanda's skill) lets you check who's in their room and who's not when you're in the Inn Hallway at night. i *believe* that the optimal ability is to combine them to safely find out who has been up to shady stuff during the night.

John's (Perfect Bluff) is also pretty useful in trials, if you have a suspicion on who's the killer.

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-08T15:41:35Z

@los beware, the source code for my project is TERRIBLY written lol. i threw all good practices out of the window in order to finish it in time :joy:

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-13T00:18:24Z

@thedoctoroftime hi... did you actually play the game i made? if you did, thanks and sorry for asking like this

Bloody Baron by Jegus9 2020-10-26T20:29:05Z

@danielblanco3d i'm sorry for that. the game was developed from scratch in Rust, and has not been signed or registered anywhere, that's why your antivirus is suspecting it.

but i promise you it doesn't do anything shady

maybe you can try and use WSL to execute the linux version? that might work better

Stuck While True by jka 2020-10-17T15:11:24Z

that's pretty good. one thing i'd suggest though is to make an option to reset the puzzle if you ever meet a dead end (i don't know if that's possible, but I think it is)

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T21:12:45Z

ok so, i had fun, but i have several parts of criticism

- jump is waay too floaty

- the ground spawning mechanic seems to be infinite, but the game tells you otherwise apparently?

- the font resolution is awkward during dialogues

- you *almost* managed to make interesting characters, but the presentation is a bit lacking

- i can apparently spawn as many blocks as i please at the victory screen, which isn't really game breaking, but like, wut

i can see where you're getting at with all this and i have no problem at all with the quirky character art though. overall congrats for the compo entry, making a game in a short span of time is rough and i hope you manage to address these issues next time, especially if you're into making platformers.

thanks!

Edge of Ludum Dare by danielblanco3d 2020-10-17T15:25:38Z

while (true) by Barrier 2020-10-06T16:46:41Z

(POTENTIAL SPOILERS)

i didn't manage to do it, but i didn't mess with the source. I'm suspecting it has something to do with that?

at first i was suspecting that there was a parameter in the page HTML source like a variable I could mess with and "change reality" without downloading the source code. or maybe there is, but i didn't find it. that would be a much more elegant way to do it. anyway, pretty good use of the theme, i like it.

Loop Shoot by superunknown 2020-10-05T00:26:46Z

pretty nice. what i like the most is the audio. i don't have too much complaint about it besides the fact that using the spacebar to shoot is kinda awkward.

Loop Shoot by superunknown 2020-10-05T13:20:56Z

@superunknown right mouse button! it's more comfortable because people don't have to tuck both hands at the keyboard. even if you have no directional axis to shoot, i like using the mouse because that basically turns the PC into dual stick machine.

Rogue-Life by KeyLime 2020-10-05T00:20:42Z

okaay, should i feel proud to have gotten it on my first try?

this is my general feedback: graphically you are onto something, you have this style that is pretty consistent, but i feel like the colors are way too saturated. the audio is pretty loud, but it's not bad. and i was confused a little because it told me to use X for the sword, but i actually had to use Z? anyway putting this on web definitely helps for more people to play your game, extra points for that.

The Death Loop by droei 2020-10-05T00:11:02Z

okay, so, i definitely had a good laugh but i can't say for certain whether i had too much fun. one thing you should be able to take into account when making games where people die a lot is the quick respawn. take for instance Super Meat Boy and I Wanna be The Guy, where you just spawn instantly after death.

it's not bad but it does live up to its promises, the game trolls the sh*t out of the player.

The Bards Tale by CursedSoldier 2020-10-05T13:38:55Z

so, i like playing as bards in every game i can, and just found this game.

first thing i noticed was the soundtrack was simple but very fitting to the environment, and art-wise, you are onto something.

i explored the "settings" tab and it seems there is an weird empty drop down there? 2020-10-05_10-29.png

also, items laying on the ground seem to respawn once you leave the room.

last thing to mention is that the fading of the dialogue is fancy, but kinda slowish.

anyway good work and keep it up!

Space Police Simulator Platinum by Future Labs Unlimited 2020-10-06T21:20:35Z

pretty ironic i made a mystery game and still had such a hard time finding out who was the criminal until i got shot in the face. nice game but i think i'm not fit to be the space police

Last Night in France by halfboltGames 2020-10-07T17:10:18Z

thanks for the tips, if it wasn't for that i wouldn't be able to complete the level because i was hard stuck at the start

Orphic-CLI [TOOL] by Kyle O 2020-10-17T15:15:54Z

i wanted to rate this, but looks like i'll have to install the npm package in order to do so since the standalone pages (including the one posted in the comments) don't work

please ping me if you update those pages?

Ninja Rabbit 2020 by fatalcaca 2020-10-06T21:28:58Z

came to play your game because i love ninjas and i love rabbits.

this has so much potential. the game has good vibes, and i love that you made an ability system. but the controls! it felt like the rabbit was walking on ice and grease and i don't even know what else.

your idea was very interesting and i'd totally play the game with some less wacky controls
