Simple but fun. The shoots are responsive enough to kill even really close enemies. Music and sound are good too.

I agree with Xacur. Simple but fun, not very deep but enjoyable enough
HTML5 game loads fast, unlike most of the unity games and that's a big plus. But the view size was too high so it didn't completely fit on my laptops screen 15,6" (1366x768 resolution), so try to make the game screen adaptive next time? Also from time to time the bullets went through the enemy ships :(
Classic space shooter with nice audio! Upgraded to 4 guns, though didn't seem to appear anymore guns after that? At least I died before I was able to get more guns...
I had a lot of fun with this. The music reminds me of the old wing commander games!
Fun little arcade-y game, music was fast and engaging and kept me on my toes. Nice game!
Fun, could probably play this for long periods of time pretty easily. Pretty classic game idea, I like the multiple guns, and the responsiveness of said guns. Probably because I was using the web version, but none of the keyboard shortcuts worked for me. Nice job, fun game :)
You can reach 10 guns in mode infinite @oskardevelopment
The game is mostly designed for desktop. Game area is 1280x720px. Please use full screen mode if you play with your Browser
Decent amount of fun! The music is nice, I just wished it looped longer so it's less repetitive. Well done!
Didnt get hooked on the mechanic, felt a bit tedious. Art is going in the right direction
Very fun game, love this genre. Would be better if the game was infinite.
@jackisaacs the game as an infinite mode just choose it in Option. You also have mode 500 & 1000 if you don't want to spend too much time. (infinite could take you a lot of time :) )
Simple, but enough fun :) I like this music and all effects in the game. And also I want to see ship control and some different types of gun or something else to extend gameplay.
Enjoyed it, although it was a bit too simple for my taste. Would certainly work fine as a kid's game. Nice music and art.
Nice game, not too long, victory accessible. And sound is very nice and original for this kind of game :)
I liked the music and the mood. The enemies were hard to hit when there were many of them!
I would like some more variety, maybe one or two more enemy designs, but solid shoot em up.
Great game, classic retro art. the font was not a great choice though. not pixelated enough! Great all around but I recommend adding bosses.
Music are good, very fun to play!
Really cool game, hard to put down got to keep rating, awesome job
well done ! the game is simple but effective, the balance beetween ennemys and firerate is good for a compo its a good work.
Fun shmup! A bit more difference would add a lot. Also I got "Congratulations" and OK button? What does that mean? Did I win? Loose? What was my score then? I'm glad you could hold down the mouse-button! =)
Nice game, it could have done with some enemy variations, and perhaps different spread off the bullets when you gain additional guns. I managed to survive at the first try, I guess a highscore system would make it funnier to replay, maybe some combo of how much damage you took and how many times you fired your weapons? Anyways, great job! Cheerz!
@rolle OK button mean go back to the Main menu -> I have to fix that. "Congratulation" mean a better way to say "You Win" for me. Maybe it's not accurate or inappropriate, I am French. If I remember in Need for speed 2 they say " Congratulation you won the Race". The score is how many enemies ship you have killed and how many time you survived (especially important in infinite mode) and how many HP you have left (especially in mode 100 500 1000) it will maybe better if I wrote a grade A,B,C,D,E,F or X like expert :) For holding the mouse-button I maybe think I could have done better alternative like first click active autofire and second click stop autofire. Please tell me what you think
@sawtan thanks for the ideas, if I had more time I would definitely had enemy variations with laser and shield system. In this version the only replay value is to try to survive longuer with mode [500],[1000] and [infinite] you can reach 10 guns too, the more guns you have the less accurate they are.
Maybe a bit too simple, but it was fun! Well done!
The Game is fun, still some enemy variety would have been good. Good job.
@r2d48 nah, I think holding down the button is fine! Activate/inactivate autofire would make it too "easy". Maybe you could write "Congratulations, you won!" ?
Nice game... I like games like this, and I enjoyed playing a few games, and I think with some additions (if you plan on continuing development), it would be awesome.
My suggestions:
- Display a score and high score table - Faster & more intense music when more enemies come in. - Power-ups
Nice little game. I really liked the music, wish it was a bit longer. Graphics showed well once there was lot of shooting and explosions going on. Unfortunately I couldn't see time or how many rockets I destroyed in the webgl version.
@schizoid2k thanks for your feedback and ideas. I am actually continuing the development
@rplnt thanks for pointing that, the bug is now corrected for the html5 version https://gregoweb.github.io/Play_Save_Starship_R2D48/
As some previous comments said, it's a simple but fun game. It gets tense as more ships approach. I didn't find any problem playing it on the browser.
An improvement that could be made would be to display the player's current HP, aside from other things that have already been suggested by previous comments like saving the high score. i don't think it needs to end at 100, you could get more and more enemies and maybe a new feature such as a "bomb" that clears all enemies up to a certain distance, but has a long cooldown.
I enjoyed the audio work in general, both the music and the SFX.
The gameplay was addictive for such a simple concept. Also, the firing and controls were perfectly executed, and the building audio added a sense of escalating dread to the entire scene. Really well done!
nice shooter/defense game - could use some more enemies (or maybe i did not make it far enough) - good game
Pretty simple. I just spun my turrets and laid down fire and was able to beat the game.
