LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Radiation by KunoNoOni 2017-12-06T01:16:20Z

Fun gameplay. I played a couple times and wasn't able to defeat the computer. I was extremely unlucky, so I guess I shall remain on the planet for now :). Thanks for creating this game.

Chores Simulator!!!! by DragonFyZex 2017-12-07T00:43:57Z

Neat concept. The 3D graphics were well-done. Thanks for making this game!

you are the coin master by Sean S. LeBlanc 2017-12-09T01:25:23Z

I really enjoyed the quick respawn time, but I had trouble with the controls. It was difficult to jump at times. The graphics were really neat, and I liked the 'glitch' effect that occurs as you collect coins. Thanks for sharing.

LD40 - Snake by Torhaq 2017-12-05T01:19:11Z

Great innovation on a classic game! I really enjoyed the graphics and the audio effects in this one. The snake was a bit hard to control, but the presentation was excellent. Thanks for creating this game.

Komainu by pi mont 2017-12-08T04:24:27Z

The art style was great on this entry, and the audio was very nostalgic as well. I struggled a little with the controls, but I enjoyed playing the game.

Gelatin Eater by Squatch 2017-12-09T00:39:24Z

I really liked the 'bounce' mechanic! I found myself bouncing fairly high by the end of the game. Thanks for sharing.

Money Dungeon by Mathiouza 2017-12-04T19:20:36Z

Great art style! I really liked the sound as well. It was difficult to play with a keyboard/mouse, but I know it was meant for a controller. Well done.

Chick Magnet by one-seed-fruit 2017-12-09T21:23:01Z

I liked the name :). It took a few minutes to get used to the gameplay mechanics, but once I figured it out, I enjoyed the game. The graphics were also very charming. Well done.

Duck Guardian by mahalis 2017-12-08T04:37:26Z

I sent a few siblings flying out of the tub! Great game -- thanks for sharing.

The Harsh Life of Terry the Homeless Dude by lautregars 2017-12-06T00:57:32Z

I scored 126,000 on the game -- lots of fun. I especially enjoyed the art style and voiceovers. The title screen was also well done. Thanks for creating this game!

Close Friends by skippuku 2017-12-12T01:38:27Z

This is one of the best games I've played on Ludum Dare. I love the game idea -- it's unique and fits the theme very well. Also, the music, art, and humor were perfect. Great entry!

Shooter Guy by sirikan 2017-12-06T01:09:44Z

This is a fun little game. As others have said, the AI is kind of basic, but I found it added humor to the game. Good work on the melee voiceovers :).

Hold Out by wareification 2017-12-09T01:06:33Z

Great iteration on an old classic! I particularly enjoyed the "hold" mechanic and found the graphics charming. A little sound and catchy music would make this game even better. Thanks for sharing.

SPLIT by steven-pinto 2017-12-06T03:38:15Z

This was a very enjoyable game experience! The graphics were drawn well, and the mood of the game was one of the best I've seen in the game jam. There were a few typos in the dialogue boxes, and it would have been nice if there was a way to advance the dialogue faster (maybe I missed this). Overall, solid submission!

Fluffy Space Escape by potatolain 2017-12-12T01:50:56Z

Very cool entry. I especially liked that this was an NES game. The graphics and audio were very nostalgic. The level transitions were neat too. I wasn't able to progress beyond the second level, but I tried many times :). Thanks for sharing this game.

VIRAL ARENA by EnchaeC 2017-12-05T02:47:36Z

The gameplay is straight up fun! I loved the graphics as well. Thanks for finishing this game.

Farmland Invasion by CoderK 2017-12-08T04:19:06Z

Nice game overall. It could have used some sound effects, but I really enjoyed playing. Thanks for sharing.

Spatium Calorem by AdroitConceptions 2017-12-04T02:59:10Z

This was a lot of fun. I especially liked the 'slow motion' death effect. Thanks for submitting.

Zombituary by xclementx 2017-12-12T01:43:54Z

I played the Windows build and thought the game concept was interesting. I'm not sure what was going on with the bullets, but it seems that they would go through multiple targets, so I could never really progress in the game. No matter what I did, the bullets would always go through the zombie and hit a citizen.

Clutter Bug by Abilean 2017-12-05T02:53:26Z

This was a really neat game concept. I also wasn't sure about why the packages were twitching. Overall, I enjoyed the game. Thanks for creating it!

Pajuu - Always With You by Samurai Spark 2017-12-09T01:16:43Z

The mood of this game is top-notch, and the soundtrack was great as well. I really enjoyed the visual style. Thanks for sharing.

Gluttony Simulator by BelowParallel_Ian 2017-12-06T01:02:46Z

Neat concept! The graphics reminded me of the early N64 games (especially with the rotating 2D sprites). The music was very relaxing and made for easy listening. Thanks for creating this game.

Cursed Knight by Particles GameStudio 2017-12-06T03:51:36Z

I love this old-school pixel art style - very reminiscent of the old NES games. The game is very difficult but also very fun. Thanks for submitting!

Frank's escape by Nyri0 2017-12-09T13:31:34Z

The graphics and animations were really well done for such a short amount of time. Sound effects would have been nice in a game like this, but I understand the time constraints (especially when constructing complex 3D models and animations). Overall, solid work!

Quantum's Rick by cortexdeveloper 2017-12-06T03:43:03Z

Good use of a simple game mechanic, and the art style was really well done. Thanks for submitting!

Stack Stuff by egawag 2017-12-06T02:27:02Z

Wonderful concept! I enjoyed the humor and the graphics. The particle effects coming off the lava was a nice touch that added a lot of character to the game. Thanks for sharing this game!

Metal Fear by LMB 2017-12-09T00:48:02Z

The audio was interesting, but I was only able to hear it in my left speaker (I'm not sure if this was a problem on my end or in the game). Thanks for sharing.

Chaos Dart by Elodeon 2017-12-08T04:27:53Z

The music really got my heart pumping on this game. Interesting concept! Thanks for sharing.

Ethereal by _benhumphries 2017-12-04T19:28:50Z

This was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the game mechanics and art style. Thanks for sharing this game.

Sugarplum Summit by Michael Clavell 2017-12-13T15:57:54Z

This is the perfect LD submission. The game is easy to jump into, easy to play, and it looks gorgeous. The audio was amazing as well. Great work!

ESCAPE KEY by Empyrean 2017-12-12T01:59:29Z

Wow! This was the first "5" I've given in the entire game jam (I gave a "5" for innovation). I've never seen a game like this before, and it is beyond cool. Thanks for sharing.

Save_Starship_R2D48 by R2D48 2017-12-09T13:36:12Z

The gameplay was addictive for such a simple concept. Also, the firing and controls were perfectly executed, and the building audio added a sense of escalating dread to the entire scene. Really well done!

BoatAfloat by StratosKakalis 2017-12-09T01:37:45Z

The 3D models were excellent! I enjoyed playing the game - thanks for submitting.

Magus O-Minus by Nucleose 2017-12-09T00:54:42Z

The art style of this game is excellent, and the audio adds tremendously to the mood. The subtle camera shake that occurred when launching projectiles was also a nice touch. Thanks for sharing this submission.

Forgotten Cubes by kariamoss 2017-12-09T21:35:06Z

Wonderful puzzle game idea. I especially liked the graphics and the manner in which the player-cube would appear at the beginning of each level. Great entry.

BadChristmas by BobStopka 2017-12-09T13:41:52Z

I liked the 2D graphics overlayed in the 3D world! However, the controls didn't seem too responsive, and I had a hard time getting the character to attack. Thanks for sharing.

Runaway Magic by SerpentWorks Games 2017-12-07T03:03:48Z

Interesting game. Thanks for sharing.

Mizu by sbarrio 2017-12-09T13:21:14Z

This was a really neat concept. I played the game for around 15 minutes and found myself enjoying it throughout. I especially liked that the levels were designed in such a way that the 'cup filling' mechanic had to be used to solve them. Thanks for submitting.

Escape Infection! by 11tomi12 2017-12-04T17:51:47Z

I really enjoyed this game. I found the antibodies to be a fun mechanic to strategize around. Thanks for the time and effort you put into making this game for the community!

Greedy Dungeons by Nils -Gecko- Munch 2017-12-25T14:57:55Z

Great graphics and gameplay concept. I was stuck at the gargoyles. Thanks for sharing!

Waltz by Steffan 2017-12-25T14:47:32Z

Really neat concept! I thought I found the musicians playing in harmony, but there wasn't a 'win' screen to be sure. It's possible that I didn't find the correct match though. Thanks for sharing.

Greed Mania by pcmxms 2017-12-04T03:03:35Z

This was a lot of fun. The art style was great, and I actually enjoyed the 8-bit sounds. Good work.

The Lost City of Bhalrim by solluxx 2017-12-08T04:14:25Z

This was a great adventure game, and I really enjoyed the music and art style. Thanks for sharing!

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-04T18:15:31Z

@lautregars: You're right - I struggled to make a strong connection to the theme, and this is something I will try harder to do next time. I made the music in Garage Band during the last couple hours of the jam. Out of all the things I needed to do for this game, the music had me the most stressed. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for playing!

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-06T00:44:07Z

@Abilean Great advice! I will pay more attention to controls in future submissions. I appreciate you playing the game.

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-06T02:29:57Z

@egawag Thanks so much for playing the game! I went to review your game and realized I had literally just finished playing it and leaving feedback. We were playing each other's games at the exact same time. Ha :).

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-09T21:17:25Z

@one-seed-fruit Great idea about rotating with the mouse. I may implement this feature in a future release. Thanks for commenting!

@sbarrio Thanks for the playing the game!

@bryceltaylor Thanks for the great feedback! Using all of the crystals to create a moon was actually a happy accident in the code :).

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-14T17:33:06Z

@grostonton Yep! I put the music together in Garage Band before the jam ended. Thanks for playing :).

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-15T16:47:34Z

@Zinkler Great job on beating the game on the first try (and without a Crystal Blast)! Thanks for playing and reviewing :).

Open the Moon Gate by professor 2017-12-20T14:05:39Z

@ponchoguy Thanks for the great feedback! I love your suggestion about having the toxins stick together and create larger threats. I appreciate you taking time to play the game :).

Armed Descent by Acr515 2017-12-09T21:09:01Z

This is one of the best games I've played for LD40. Interesting mechanics and addictive gameplay. The game just felt so polished. Well done.

Extinction by kado15 2017-12-08T04:32:36Z

Very simple design concept that works well. Thanks for sharing!

Politically Correct Hunting by tschery 2017-12-09T00:43:10Z

The visuals were really well done. I had some trouble understanding which keys to press to make things happen, but I enjoyed the game. Thanks for sharing.

LD53 — Delivery

FedUp by jward 2023-05-02T01:32:25Z

The narrative text really sets a game like this apart. It makes a simple task feel a bit more fun and alive. Great work!

Planet Express by SpicyMarcus 2023-05-02T01:09:13Z

Great, atmospheric music! I also enjoyed the physics on the packages. The "rope" effect looked really good while flying through space.

Pizzapocalypse by professor 2023-05-02T01:21:52Z

@yorsh - You are right about the assets. They could certainly be matched better in a future update! @flanne - Thanks for playing! @theartifacts - I had no idea about the diagonal speed boost! Thanks for this tip!

Airlivery by Jin9310 2023-05-01T23:42:12Z

Awesome game! The art is my favorite part of the game. Also, the camera shake when crashing is a perfect touch.

MailBeats ✉️🎶 by Adam Gaskins 2023-05-02T01:38:45Z

This is the best game I've played so far. From the music and simple graphics to the gameplay, it's all so well executed! The game is simple to learn and addictive. Great work.

Shadow Delivery by Nestral 2023-05-02T01:03:16Z

Really interesting, original concept! The music set a nice tone. Great work.

Lastopia by aweelex 2023-05-02T23:34:44Z

Well, this game is awesome! I am jealous that you could make something like this in just a couple days :). The sound really established a creepy, dreamlike mood, and the pixel graphics are some of my favorite from the jam (especially the plants encased in glass).

De-LIVER by Its_Capp 2023-05-02T23:15:55Z

Loved the fun art style! I couldn't get past the first wall (where the rope) was located, so perhaps I was doing something wrong. Also, I am playing on a laptop, so the controls were a bit difficult (not the fault of the game). Love the pun of "De-liver."

Postman by DuKe.ua 2023-05-02T23:25:30Z

The graphics, sound, and music are some of the best I've seen in the jam! The controls were fun but felt a little clumsy on the keyboard at times (especially when hitting the curb and needing to adjust course. However, overall, this has been one of my favorite games. It's so much fun to just speed down the road and enjoy the graphics whizzing by.

We Suck At Deliveries by Blo 2023-05-02T01:26:30Z

The graphics in this are great! It is really fun to drive the van and just explore the bright terrain (The smiley faces on the trees was a nice touch).
