I love the design of the tiny doctor protagonist, he's very cute. Music is a bop. I liked the procedural generation, but I really wish the field of view was wider so that I could better see where I was going. I played for a little while and I feel like I got pretty far, but I never saw any organs to harvest. Also, greetings from another developer of an organ-harvesting game!

I just need to follow @real-human-1000 to find all de-liver themed games of this Jam :D I am looking forward to play this game and will give feedback after work when I'm back home and can play it

I would never have thought of make a game with this idea of using the word “liver” in “delivery”. I love it!

The tutorial wasn't working for me, so I don't know if I was missing something from it, but I wouldn't seem to go past the first wall where the rope seem to be. :( I like the pun and the mood of the game already though, can't wait to come back and try again later to sell some organs. :)

Cool concept! Would love to see more

Loved the fun art style! I couldn't get past the first wall (where the rope) was located, so perhaps I was doing something wrong. Also, I am playing on a laptop, so the controls were a bit difficult (not the fault of the game). Love the pun of "De-liver."

its-capp 2023-05-02 23:21

for people who are struggling getting past the first wall,

you can right click to use a melee attack, if you use the melee attack on a bounce-able object you will bounce :3

Oh my. That ..foot!

The pun used on the theme is hillarious, although deLIVER should be emphasized more imho. If you didn't remove organs other than liver, and maybe called the main character "deliverer" or something like this it would play better with the theme.

The game was very fun to play, I liked the jumping mechanic, it was pretty good. I managed to complete the game with no upgrades, but the time was pretty close and I think I was rushing close to perfectly.

I think that enemies could use some form of "deactivation range". So that they wouldn't move towards the player when he's too far away from them. When escaping, sometimes I would have to stop for a moment and the gigantic wave of enemies would be impossible to stop.

The mag generation from predefined chunks, while a very good idea, didn't really seem meaningful. Maybe it's because of too few terrain variations.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, whilst it felt unintuitive at the start, after fiveish runs I was absolutely blitzing through levels. That stab-the-bounce-pad-to-launch-yourself mechanic is really damn fun, and even though the enemies felt like a non-threat (I was just speedrunning past without ever killing them), the jump pads still added some interesting challenges to the platforming. I found the money earned from winning to be pretty meh tho, I won twice, and collected the organ a few times without escaping, and throughout all that only had enough to purchase one health upgrade. If we got more money there could be a better sense of progression, and give more reason to go for 'just one more run'. I love the animations, particularly the idle animation and what, that soundtrack was so freaking epic. Great little game

@lisek-gagatek thanks for the feedback  ! the generation of levels definitely did need a lot more level layouts, with only 6 possible chunks for the extraction part and a measly 3 for the escape section.

@justcamh thanks! I was contemplating increasing the amount of money earned from organs but I didn't have enough time haha.

GOOD music

teejio 2023-05-03 23:09

@freshbone thank EggTillius for the bangers

This was fun! Controls took me a bit to get used to, but once I got a feel for it, the only struggle I had was getting used to the spring jump (and that it wasn't a consistent jump height). Otherwise, I at least got out with the first organ.

The music is really good and the movement feels really good. was pleasently surprised when you could pogo off the enemies great game!

Nice entry, loved the bounce mechanic!! Level music was nice but the escaping one was a little too much. Also wished you'd start with more than one life. Art was amazing, main character looks slick. Great work!!

kaedalus 2023-05-11 00:33

The pun made me want to try it immediately, hahaha. Unfortunately, the tutorial was down, so I had to figure it out by myself. The music is groovy as heck, loved it - unfortunate that there were basically no sound effects at all, though. Enjoyed the bouncing mechanic, though I wish we could hold down the left mouse button to constantly fire, as spamming left click can get tiring :P
