LD45 — Start with nothing

Buried Things by Skyeward 2019-10-08T01:26:00Z

Love this!!! It was so cute. I got a few items in and wondered why there was no sound, so I restarted just to be able to get some sweet sweet audio

I'm so sad that I wasn't able to figure out what the obelisk means :( But I got everything else. Great work!!

The Daily by huskitch 2019-10-08T01:29:11Z

I'm also getting the black screen! Was very excited to play :(

An Error Occurred by Cataractar 2019-10-08T12:34:07Z

Definitely can relate to errors happening at every part of the code at the last minute when trying to submit my game :^)

Fun little game!

P L A G U E T I M E by bruins 2019-10-08T01:44:53Z

Really cool concept! I love how the graphics give such a cool feeling. Like it's a pixel art game but still like a modern 2D game.

My one complaint is that it was kinda difficult to see what things were needed to craft what, but overally definitely enjoyed!

Barterin' Buckaroo by chelC 2019-10-08T03:04:23Z

This game is awesome! I loved the graphics and the polish and everything. I was nervous at first about trading because I didn't want to trade myself into a corner, but the way the UI and everything worked really quickly made me feel at home. Good stuff!!

Draw Your Own Adventure! by detectiveLosos 2019-10-08T02:45:50Z

This is insane! I love how such simple mechanics can turn into such a complex and captivating experience! The aesthetic of a children's story is so well done! Probably my favorite game so far!

Cast Away by OrdiNeu 2019-10-08T03:11:51Z

I have to second what everyone is saying, adorable graphics and cool mechanics! Loved the sound and gameplay as well.

Pimp my voxel by TheoG 2019-10-08T02:17:51Z

Love this! This is one of those awesome ideas that would be great as a full game I feel like.

Gardening Take Over by zachabossaloler 2019-10-08T00:51:14Z

I can tell you worked hard on this! My biggest complaint is that I just couldn't tell what was going on, or what my purpose was. Why do I plant carrots? What does placing the bomb do? What's the big orange line at the top of the screen do?

I also couldn't even see the orange bar for a few minutes until I made the Unity window full screen. You might want to configure your itch.io settings to show the full unity window, or maybe its an issue in Unity

Bodyville by kr0s 2019-10-08T01:52:32Z

Really fun concept! I like how it was like a mix between RTS and tower defense kinda, but very unique.

My main problem was that it was just really difficult to understand what was going on. I also didn't realize that there was a second spawn point until it was too late!

But I would love to see this expanded upon and polished with more than just a weekend's time!

Warp Trash Flotilla by GoogleFrog 2019-10-08T02:12:47Z

Haha dude this is so cool! At first I was going to complain about how easy it was to screw yourself by mapping a ton of random rockets to one key, but as I started to play more and more I began to understand the methodical playstyle require to finish.

I agree with @jason-porritt that being able to get rid of certain parts would be really nice!

Bluebirds by hwaet 2019-10-08T01:59:11Z

Really cute game! Definitely a super cool idea to build a bird pixel by pixel.

It took me a while to realize that the red pixels were bad, I was wondering why it was taking so long for something to happen! Maybe a little more feedback would be helpful.

But overall great game, and I'd love to see it expanded upon!

Witchcraft: the Collecting by theufo 2019-10-08T02:35:40Z

Fun idea! Always loved opening card packs.

Afloat by Nigma 2019-10-08T01:37:05Z

Cool little idea! Once I unlocked all the blocks I spent a long time running around but I couldn't figure out what else to do :( I clicked on the little thing that made a noise but it didn't seem to do anything.

Slow and Steady by palinalif 2019-10-08T12:44:45Z

Really cute game! Probably the main thing I would add would be some sort of indicators to show which ways you can go, and also maybe limit the camera so you can't see the blackness outside the beautiful backgrounds you created. But loved the gameplay and the story!

Fruits are all by Oscar Henrique 2019-10-08T02:36:06Z

Cute game! Great job on your first entry!!

Re-Shape me by HamzaLk 2019-10-08T12:27:20Z

Cool little game! I like the idea of starting from nothing and rebuilding your body.

Stylemancer by mattdotam 2019-10-08T02:04:36Z

Awesome, I love it! I always love coding games. My only complaint is that it was so short!!!

LD53 — Delivery

Station Run by smilewood 2023-05-02T04:11:16Z

Weirdly, like others, it took me a minute to figure out how the jumping and sliding worked. But once I made it past the second jump I was coasting!! I LOVE the slide, its so much fun to double jump, and I love the fact that you can slide mid air! Besides accidentally glitching into platforms a couple times, I had an overall great experience! An endless runner is such a good idea for the theme too :)

Rotting Hood's De-liver-y Service by Kyle Farwell 2023-05-02T04:42:16Z

Very cute!! Loved the graphics and lends itself perfectly to speedrunning! I kept getting the guy with SO much junk in his chest though

Cargo Cove by superjai 2023-05-04T02:50:14Z

Took me a minute to realize that I can attack any of the boats, and that's how you get the crates, but after that I was having a blast!! The movement was really smooth feeling, it definitely just felt good to sail around, and I loved the art style

Decrypting Handwriting by pauljs 2023-05-04T11:48:05Z

Hahaha this is awesome, I immediately thought of the Tom Scott video when I saw this, and it really recreated the experience for me :D

Packages, Please by Daveybb 2023-05-02T05:07:38Z

Very cool, fun to see the inspiration from Papers Please! I like the twist of analyzing the packages as they come through as opposed to actually delivering them yourself :)

Mailman Madness by AndideBob 2023-05-02T07:10:35Z

Wait this is so good!! One of the best games I've played this jam, if not the best. From the menu to the graphics to the screenshots in your entry, this is so so polished for one weekend!

Electron Odyssey by Ziamor 2023-05-02T04:16:52Z

Loved the concept!! Wish there was more levels :) The graphics are sick though, super detailed and definitely made me feel like I was a spark in a circuit xD

Heart-Warming Deliveries by Joscco 2023-05-02T07:27:03Z

This game is amazing!! Seriously so good, the amount of polish is off the charts. Love the graphics, love the sounds. The gameplay is a nice puzzle but not too difficult, and the animations and transitions are absolutely lovely! This is my new favorite game from the jam, I think :thumbsup_tone1:

Dark Teeth by ecmjohnson 2023-05-02T02:32:00Z

This game was like popping a juicy, disgusting pimple :two_hearts: Great work :)

Baby Boom by Whirlwind 2023-05-02T06:22:41Z

Very cool rhythm game! Love the idea of launching babies as the notes in a rhythm game

MailBeats ✉️🎶 by Adam Gaskins 2023-05-02T04:54:22Z

@fishy-f1shy Ahh thanks for letting me know! Glad you enjoyed :)

Supply Heroes by SvenErik 2023-05-02T06:07:12Z

Wow, stellar graphics!! At first I felt like it was impossible, until I realized certain buildings I can capture would generate more supply :) It was satisfying to play through to the end!

Coastal Carrier by Kosmik123 2023-05-02T02:40:39Z

Great job putting this together! My high score was only 27, but I couldn't find the island I needed in time xD

Courrier de Souvenirs by MasterProject 2023-05-02T01:56:01Z

This was such an imaginative adventure! The art for all the different characters is what really made the experience. I really *felt* like I was drifting through the vastness of space, pondering the philosophies of love and war through the childlike eyes of my squid friend. The concept of Pudding Day where everyone takes a day off from war—the captain’s son can hand deliver a package to the enemy—is just cool. Made my eyes sparkle :)

Also the crypto bros made me laugh xD

My one tiny complaint is that traversing space was a little tedious  I loved the feeling of zooming out and seeing how big space was, and it wasn't the time between planets that bothered me, but just picking up so much speed and then it was difficult to slow down enough to aim where I wanted. Also I didn't even notice the beautiful art of Hugo and the Courrier in the spaceship until the end when I zoomed in all the way!! Would have loved to see that more.

Oh also I accidentally bumped into a random planet and some dialogue played, and then Hugo said something like “anyway, back to what I was saying…”, I was impressed by that!!

Zeba's Broke!!!! by slimefriend 2023-05-02T02:18:16Z

Dude this was a fun little game!! The controls were very intuitive, and it definitely made me feel like I was in Kiki's Delivery Service hehe. At one point I had 3 orders active and I was picking up multiple at a time and then delivering them, and when I pulled it off it felt awesome

Delivering Better Worlds by T C 2023-05-02T04:30:03Z

The menu was awesome, the intro graphic was hilarious (complete with "these 3 minutes have been added to your timecard"), and the gameplay was a nice fresh spin too :) At first I was spending all my time trying to make Tetris lines, but then towards the end I was just matching colors and ignoring gaps! Love the variety

Sand...which house again? by DWink 2023-05-02T02:47:38Z

Very cool concept! Simple but fun. I was really impressed with the number of characters you had, I played over and over trying to get 4 stars and I feel like I never reached the end of all of them! The characters personalities all felt very unique, and I loved how the end screen referenced the conversations you had that day :)

Peggy's Post by suvi 2023-05-02T07:45:23Z

Wow!! Amazing graphics!! Very Papers Please-esque, but much more chill/cozy-game vibes which I love  I'm obsessed.

*EDIT:* Oh, ran into two bugs-- the scale sometimes still shows dollar amounts when I first put a package on. Also, in fullscreen mode the grid on the shipping screen is misaligned from the graphics.

A Blacksmith's Gift by Kassie Kitsune 2023-05-02T04:51:18Z

This is so good!! Loved the art of the swords, and the mechanic of sword stealing xD I got so many swords at once, it was so fun. Great game! :)

Dungeon Delivery by Kyle Spence 2023-05-02T03:27:28Z

Fun concept!! It was pretty difficult to stay alive xD But I definitely felt like a man on a mission with a box, especially like the mechanic where I have to put it down to fight and go pick it up again later.

Note by Chii 2023-05-04T02:23:59Z

Fun game!! I would have loved to play more levels, maybe starting off simpler and then getting even more complex, but I very much enjoyed the experience :) I loved the bounciness of the note, I think it made it more fun and made some of the trickier parts easier!

E.G.A.D.S. by floralvikings 2023-05-02T02:26:08Z

This is such a creative concept! When I was reading the controls and I realized what this game was I got excited haha. My only complaint is I wish there were more levels!

Rock Paper Scissors Inc. by Weston Goggins 2023-05-02T04:02:43Z

The concept was great, and the levels were SO well made! I normally hate these kinds of puzzles too, so that's really saying something. I felt like the difficulty was just right where I had to think and beating the level was satisfying, but I never felt like I was in over my head! I loved all the different ways I got to use the mechanics, and the new additions kept it interesting! You did a perfect job of explaining all the mechanics-- e.g. the gun level, it was immediately obvious how the gun worked because you can't progress at all without seeing how it works (gun beats everything, and two guns cancel eachother out). Great work!!!

ALSO, THANK YOU FOR THE UNDO! I think that was what made this game amazing for a casual player like me.

Divine Deliverance by ViciousDonut 2023-05-02T03:22:33Z

I love the feeling of the dash attack, makes me feel like I'm in an anime haha. The art was really cool too, I could definitely see exactly what you were going for!! I loved the vibe of carrying a box, putting it down to fight, and then picking it up again to continue with the delivery :)

Yuki's mystery by Sevla 2023-05-02T04:36:00Z

Cool!! I haven't seen a lot of creepy/horror games in this jam, love what you did with the theme :)

Delivery! NYC by Obe Dot 2023-05-02T01:17:31Z

Haha this was so fun!! When I first dropped in the world I was like... what the heck is going on? But as soon as I right clicked it all made sense

It's simple and cheesy, but I think that's why I had so much fun. Really makes you *FEEL* like spiderman ;)

PARCEL ROCKET by Braveskin 2023-05-02T02:58:34Z

Piloting a delivery drone is such a cool concept! The controls were difficult, but I got better over time and it seemed like the upgrades helped too :)

Beat Boxes by PonyGirlLuna 2023-05-02T04:19:18Z

Ahhh this looks so fun! Is there any way for you to make a Mac or Web build?? Would love to play

PatMan by Freddie 2023-05-02T03:08:12Z

Super unique little physics puzzler! I think... maybe the checkpoints are broken? I wasn't able to figure out the 4th level  I especially liked the crane that comes to grab you at the end!

Also just FYI the itch link doesn't work

Secret Trucks: Delivery Boys by Guilherme Schutzer 2023-05-02T03:16:07Z

Loved it! Very interesting real-time puzzler. The tutorial was perfect and helped me feel like I understood all the mechanics and how to play. I can only imagine how you programmed the trucks to automatically follow the road and yet also follow directions xD Good work!!

Dispatchers by Shiiigear 2023-05-02T00:41:13Z

Very cool!! It took me a bit to figure out the details of the mechanics, but once I had it the game really opened up! I don't even want to imagine how you coded path finding and dynamic paths xD Great work! :)

Just for your playtesting data, I got stuck on level 11 for a long time and then I wasn't able to pass level 15.

Storm Dove by RisingLeaf 2023-05-02T00:53:30Z

Oh cool I really enjoyed that! I feel like the concept of grabbing letters out of the air and putting them in mailboxes (also in the air haha) scratches some kind of child-like imagination itch :)

I found I had the most fun when I turned the speed slider up most of the way!

Color Delivery by Zephyr19 2023-05-02T06:56:01Z

Cool mechanic!! The 3rd level was really fun to string everything together, especially reaching the yellow platforms up high :)

Message to the End by edenic666 2023-05-02T01:06:26Z

This was so fun! I appreciate how much work you put into the visuals and all the different art pieces!

When she looked at the letter and where it was addressed to I literally got chills :) Such a sick way to start a VN. Keep it up!!
