It plays well. It's simple but works great. I would say that the characters assets are in a completely different style from the rest. It can be good to mix styles but it looks a bit weird here imo.
Good job !

Pretty fun. I love top down shooters like this :)
As Yorsh said, the game plays well. The controls are smooth and work perfectly. When moving on a diagonal you get a speed boost. If not intended, make sure to normalize the Vector3 movement direction :slight_smile:
As for making a quick game - great work!
For your next one, expand on what you've done and try to connect more closely with the theme and you'll do great.
@yorsh - You are right about the assets. They could certainly be matched better in a future update! @flanne - Thanks for playing! @theartifacts - I had no idea about the diagonal speed boost! Thanks for this tip!
Hey great work! Fun and simple and with a great setting haha!
Nice mood! I accidentally killed a couple neighbours :)
If I finish a game, it must have something special. I get frustrated easy, but I got the hang of this one quickly and kept playing and trying to improve over the last round. Nothing else to add to the other comments. Good job!
Great job! The movement and shooting both felt good, it was a little frustrating that you could hit neighbors off screen, but other than that I enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed the movement and responsiveness of the controls. I killed a civilian my first time, but had a blast putting those zombies down. Would have loved to see a quarantine border on the edges of the map, but for a jam, it's great. :)
I must say that overall the movement and controls feels good. The premise is simple and clear, yet this works the best. The only think I would like to see differently is the art would be more consistent, as it feels like you have just used assets that would work good as placeholders to prototy the thing, but it would be great to give bit more love here as zombies are in different sly than humans as well as your "tank" is in completelly different style, but all of them are pretty detailed, but then the environment feels really basic. But to be honest, not everything can be done the way we wanted in during the jam and I had a blast anyway :) Great job Done!
Fun and simple, I enjoyed it! The next thing I would do is maybe make the controls have a little bit of acceleration / deceleration. Depends on your setup / framework, but e.g. in your on_frame handler, instead of:
if (keys.up) { velocity.y = 10; }
Do something like:
if (keys.up) { velocity.y = 0.6\*velocity.y + 0.4\*10; }
If that code runs every frame, it quickly increases from (whatever it was) to 10. But it's a nice little speedup.
That pizza throwing mechanic remembered me of the Paper Boy games, where you throw paper at peoples how to deliver it. Could be nice if there is some interactions with missing the pizza or something like that
I killed a few neighbors :cry: Although, I really enjoyed the game :joy: Congrats!
