I really wanted to know more about your team and process so I could be more precise in my review. I don't know exactly what to say but, a good entry overall, and I guess your description of the game got me too hyped for it hahah, so my expectations were too high, I guess... Ah, one thing that you could do to improve, but idk if this is a problem with the webgl, is that when I drag the mouse it doesn't count as an attack, and this is a bit annoying. Good luck!

Nice artwork and great mood for an action shooter!
The title logo is awesome and the character looks badass holding a sword.
At times, it seems I am unable to fire my shurikens. Also, I find the sword rather cumbersome to use. It would be nice if it could be mapped to the right mouse button instead of space bar.
I killed all the enemies in the level and don't know what to do next LOL
Good effort overall!

Echoing Dizzy, really like the art, especially of the main character. Core gameplay is fun, although I feel that the stars are so strong that I had little reason to use the sword, heh.

The art and music were well done and worked well for the style of the game, but I thought the gameplay was a little simplistic (good start though!) The enemies stopped coming when I got to 355 XP, not sure if I missed something I was supposed to do in order to progress or if that was the end. With the two enemy types, it's too easy to just kite around and throw shuriken at them while they get into a big cluster trying to follow. I didn't even realize I had a melee attack until after I had killed them all, so showing the controls somewhere would be helpful, along with more enemies/attacks that would require different strategies.
One other note is that the player can move faster diagonally than straight up/down/left/right, so that might be something to address if you continue working on the game.
Fun game, great graphics and the music goes along really well. I killed everyone and am not sure what else to do, and it seems like the controls get stuck (if I hold a key down for too long, then release, it doesn't recognize the release).
Are the controls listed anywhere, I didn't figure out about the sword until I read the comments and someone mentioned it.
Does the shiny shuriken do anything?

Nice graphics,i like the pixel art and some Japan style scene. The game is fun,but i think the control have a little problem,i think the attack needs more feedbacks
I really liked this game. It was fun and polished and I love the art. The cherry blossoms falling are a really nice piece of atmosphere. I really wished I had a reason to use the sword, which I found out I could swing after I had killed all the enemies. Being close to them to use it mostly just seems really not worth it and easily avoidable. There was also a shiny thing that I don't know what it was or how I was supposed to interact with it. Also when I killed the last enemy I really wanted something to happen, preferably more game! A You Win screen would also work. I felt accomplished for beating it all the same. Also the music added a nice atmosphere of tension and adventure. Well done all around.

I also experienced some technical issues around input playing the WebGL game in Chrome on Windows 7.
I'll provide a bit more detail in case you want to troubleshoot, and then do the rest of the feedback after.
There was a graphics issue with two small black lines that would sort of randomly appear, as seen here: https://imgur.com/a/0iNoM
They were just a minor visual glitch and didn't impact gameplay at all. What was a problem was the way the input would lock me out. I would stop being able to throw shurikens and then the character would stay move-locked in a certain direction, say, moving left and can be stopped by holding right, but you cannot move right (it just cancels the locked left) and if you release it you walk left.
I tested it a bunch, and following the comment by @dragoon I agree with him that both the inability to fire shurikens and the move-lock I experienced were both caused by clicking and dragging the mouse while the click is still down. I could see that sometimes the system would become confused and the mouse cursor would toggle modes from the red shuriken (the game's cursor), the circle with a slash "no" icon (the icon I would expect if I was trying to "drag and drop" an image from the browser but was not hovering over a valid drop target), and the normal operating system default cursor.
I am not sure what the exact issue is, but it was a killer for sure! I lost my first handful of games by being move-locked and unable to shoot in the middle of a fight. My *guess* is that the system was recording the keydown, and then I would drag and release while in the confused-dragging mode, but in that mode the game would fail to register the keyup, and so it would continue to think it was down for maybe 2-15 seconds at random.
OK so I wanted to provide some detail there, but let's move past that aspect. Once I was aware of this issue I was able to just be much more careful with the shuriken, and then I could play the game to the end.
I loved the opening screen, and the art overall is very nice. Although the way the rock and very nice cherry blossom tree have a higher resolution than the characters threw my eye a bit.
I didn't find a lot of use for the sword in combat, but the shuriken was sure nice! I enjoyed the ranged battles against the blue shooting enemies the best. Dodging between their shots while I whittled down the hordes was the peak fun of the experience for me.
I thought the music was nice and the sound effects did their job of grounding me in the game's reality. I liked the animations, particularly the death throes of the aliens.
Nice job, I think you have a nice style on this and a good combat core that could be explored more.
The art was pretty polished, but I did see a ton of grid lines everywhere. I've had that issue before with Unity though. Fixed it with just using Tiled2Unity.
I also have a hatred for spam clicking, but other than that, it was really cool! There really needed to be some feedback after killing all the enemies, as I was slightly confused on what to do next. Like some other said before, that shining shuriken seemed important but didn't do anything.
I happened to figure out the controls with ease, as I've played these things before.
**For reference for people reading:** WASD - Move Left Click - Shoot
nice job, the art is really impressive, but i thought the game little hard
Hmm... The descriptions have so less information to understand the game.
The art style and audio are great! The control stuck sometimes and no any tutorial on the control.
I beat all enemies but nothing happened? and I don't know where the concept relates to the theme.

Its a fun game and the art is nice. Screenshots would help get more people to play. Please add screenshots of the game or a gif or something.
The art style was great on this entry, and the audio was very nostalgic as well. I struggled a little with the controls, but I enjoyed playing the game.

Graphics are great, music fits the mood and atmosphere. I did feel like the shurikens were too powerful, since I could just tap along with two fingers on the trackpad and nothing could touch me :D
Like Cliff said above, didn't really understand how the theme came in to this. I didn't manage to get the game to give me feedback on whether all enemies are really dead, or did I finish the level or what.
