Very fun. Being able to move vertically even a little bit could've expanded the selection of strategies. Good job.

Having some visual data for the cheese would be a lot more satisfying and readable. Good job.
Huh... Wasn't expecting that.
Interesting approach. Nifty tune and sound.
The idea that you can get hit by every shot that you miss is really clever and fits the theme perfectly. So I wish this was more fleshed out. Also, didn't seem to die when my healthbar reached 0 :man_shrugging:
Really cool that you chose c64 as a platform! The controls didn't seem very responsive, but that might've been on my end. Great job.
Save system seems to be broken... Eh.
Interesting idea. I would've liked to see some more developed graphics.
Neat idea. Could use some jazzy radio music.
Truly an artistic statement on the game jam community. Exellecence.
That's a blast! It become impossible to finish some tracks if you're blasting through it. I haven't read the other comments, but maybe a jump function? Regardless: nice.
A bit easy, but overall: a pretty satisfying play!
Interesting game. Wish there was some sound to go with it, but overall not bad.
@jdhollen I haven't come across an issue like that in my testing. But thanks for the report, I'll look into it!
@kodiqi Yeah, certainly needed a bit more balancing. Thanks for playing!
@maartene That is for the best, I assure you.
Always great to see Pico8 games! Good job.
A little rough around the edges, but it's all there.
Gotta have some quick reaction time there. I wasn't sure how play at first; maybe throw in some instructions on the itchio page.
Nice writing and mood! Good job.
Interesting to see some physical games. Good job!
Good job making sound effects for everything. It adds a lot.
Good job. I'm curious as to why you don't aim solely with the mouse.
Pretty simple, but it's all there. Good job!
The style is fantastic. Everything fits together so nicely, the art, the sound, the feedback- so cohesive. Very nice : )
Very cute. Love the cozy aesthetic. First loss was level 10.
I really enjoyed the art. The bug designs and the animated background are very nice, and the faces the bugs make when they slurp are cute : )
Very engaging and tricky for being so simple. Glad you got to submit. Is there a way to fullscreen? :)
Very nice mood and as a pixel artist I really enjoyed all the animations. I agree with a lot of the sentiment above and feel like the mechanics could be introduced in more obvious ways with some easier puzzles early on, but overall it was very enjoyable. Good job : )
Congrats on completing your first game jam!
@Gamekrazzy Thank you so much! The music bit is on me, Knox made no less than a minute of music for each game and I wanted the song to continue where it left off. Unfortunately I didn't get to it. Here's the full soundtrack: https://b-knox.bandcamp.com/album/portaboy-ost
