LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Ephyra by Flipsy 2024-10-08T13:58:55Z

Great game! The difficulty is a bit high, I couldn't go through level 2, but still, I'm not a very skilled player. The art is cute and there is a fun strategic aspect because of the energy management. Only thing is, I think the music is a bit too relaxing for this kind of gameplay.

Summony Flute by Amolker 2024-10-21T19:15:21Z

Great game! I loved the art style and the mechanic is fun. I think it would work really well as a mobile game, so you could draw with your finger and not a mouse. I also had problems with the drawing mechanics, for me the circle was really hard to get. Also sometimes a line that I drew would randomly get further drawn to the bottom left of the screen.

Duck Walk by EnchaeC 2024-10-08T13:35:16Z

Really fun game. Snake but ducks. The graphics are really cute, the sound effects have a nice feel, the premise is funny. It is quite difficult, but it just makes you want to play again.

Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All by mrspeaker 2024-10-19T13:11:43Z

Great game! I love the art style and design of all the little characters. The sound effects also fit perfectly. It is helpful that you show the controls for the circle on screen. Also it is fun that you have basically two weapons, that you control with two hands, that each does different thing to different area. Maybe if you wanted to make it a bigger game, there could be different types of weapons.

Carrot Patch by Historymaker118 2024-10-21T19:38:00Z

Great game, the simple mechanic was really addictive. It reminded me of games you can find on those cheap consoles with 100 games (in a good way - simple but really entertaining). The pace of progress also felt nice. The gray carrot was a bit hard to spot, probably making it a shade lighter would help, but also it depends if you want it to be easily to spot. Also, it is a bit unintuitive, that the tractor takes three vertical spaces, it just looks like it would take two (at least for me). For future ideas: maybe eating two gray carrots could cancel the effect.

Tiny Tumble by Beebo Studios 2024-10-08T13:25:10Z

The art in cutscenes is cute, the music feels adventurous and the mechanic is fun. There are some problems with how camera zooms, and also the player character feels really light.

Tiny Sanctuary by 03gramat 2024-10-15T18:16:47Z

Great game. I love how they move. And eat. So much personality in a cube.

Snail away by Thomas_Bringer 2024-10-21T19:56:26Z

The game is great, I loved it! The idea is great, and it is very well implemented. The sound is amazing (especially the snail moving sound and the background music with the frog), the art is also amazing, and the movement feels great. Also love that you slide down if you just stay on a wall. The tail of the snail sometimes wiggle weirdly when you move thought convex corners. Also the foreground elements are sometimes distracting - they cover the view a bit too much.

Tailor Arena by DeerCat 2024-10-11T16:27:48Z

The art is fantastic and I loved the getting hurt sfx. It was nice that different types of arms result in different attack options. The only downside is that you needed to hit with the attack and choose the body part with the highest percentage to really hit the opponent. It just seems like the best tactic, and because of it the gameplay feels repetitive. And the general idea of the game mechanic is really interesting. I think it is just game balance issue.

Dgdgan by Gossian 2024-10-19T13:24:27Z

Fun concept, nice drawings. Unfortunately, it was quite hard to play. The movement feels too slow, same with interactions. The E button worked for me. But I didn't live thought the second night, it comes too fast, I listened to the woman, and it was night already. Also, there is nothing to tell you that the night is coming, so if you are not in your house, you don't stand a chance.

Paper Russula by Revetoon 2024-10-19T13:47:30Z

Fun game, I liked it. The graphic and music are amazing. The idea that you can't just put your weapons, you need also to power them is nice. It gives more strategy aspect to the game. As some previous comments state, it needs to be a bit more balanced. The larger field would be nice, so the trap shroom make more sense. Also at certain point you have all the field full, so maybe some button to skip placing more mushrooms would be nice.

Molly the Mole by Linus Szokody 2024-10-15T17:46:39Z

I had a great time playing. Almost at the end, I noticed that there were gray and red circles around the mole indicating danger and food. Maybe making them a bit bigger would help with that. The background audio was cool, especially the rustling noises really sounded like dirt.

Bug Bounty by woona 2024-10-11T16:45:26Z

Very fun to play. I loved the collecting team aspect.

Need For Snail:midnight by AegisFate 2024-10-08T14:09:50Z

The retro-car-racing-game feel is great. I especially love the art. The music is also on point.

Waggle! by TROGDOR 20X6 2024-10-11T16:06:50Z

Fun idea, I love the butt wiggling concept. Controls feel a bit off, especially I think the forward movement is too fast, too far. Also, the game was overall quite hard for me.

tiny Accident by Rito 2024-10-15T15:39:36Z

Fun, but way too hard for me, I got stuck on the 1st ant. The camera lens effect is interesting, it really feels like you were under influence from some drug. I noticed that you can fall to the floor and just keep falling (there could be a respawn).

Please Find Them by AdamLenglen 2024-10-08T13:47:27Z

Amazing artwork, sounds, idea, and gameplay. The difficulty progression is well-balanced. The attention to detail is also amazing, all the locations have a distinct feel to them.

🐜 Antwars 🐜 by Mibi88 2024-10-15T18:09:42Z

Fun game, I really liked playing it. I have similar feedback to other people here: the font in tutorial was hard to read and it would be nice to be able to add more ants at once to a given task.

Lint by turturi 2024-10-11T17:08:16Z

Thank you all for the feedback! I'm taking notes, and maybe after the jam I will polish it a bit. About the audio: there are some sfx (jump, roll, talking, soup splash), but I've made them a bit too quiet.

Lint by turturi 2024-10-27T12:43:29Z

@shared I never got any lint in a soup, but the inspiration was hair getting into all kinds of meals.

AquaLens by Chlolauro 2024-10-08T13:12:58Z

The music is soothing, and the concept is fun. Unfortunately, you can see the end of the map in camera mode.

Dr Shrink and the Horrors of the Infinite by Conor Wilson 2024-10-11T17:00:52Z

Really fun game, the idea of getting thought the same level with multiple sizes is great. I don't know if it was just a problem for me, but the clicking S to get smaller didn't work sometimes. Also because of the shrinking and growing, some enemies were hard to avoid at certain size (ex. mouse when you are really small, because you can't jump over it; or orange bugs when you are just one potion smaller, because you barely fit on a platform with them).

7777777 by Zhz 2024-10-15T18:27:52Z

Fun game. I also didn't understand the goal at first, but it is really interesting. You start thinking in different ways than in a typical clicker.
