playing this game made me feel things.. dark and terrible things
good game, great aesthetic, overall fun experience!
E button still doesnt seem to work, and when it does it seems slightly unclear when and why? Apart from that, liked the graphics, some animations would have been nice, otherwise nice entry and the audio was also good
Fun concept, nice drawings. Unfortunately, it was quite hard to play. The movement feels too slow, same with interactions. The E button worked for me. But I didn't live thought the second night, it comes too fast, I listened to the woman, and it was night already. Also, there is nothing to tell you that the night is coming, so if you are not in your house, you don't stand a chance.
could not interact with all the objects, the character moves too slow and the music gets too repetitive after a while. on the bright side, the graphics are unusual and the concept seems interesting
Nice idea for game. Some warning before night would be nice. Also time could be stopped during dialogs. Sometimes i died instantly when night begins during conversation
Good idea and a very nice presentation. I agree that a couple changes could be made to smooth the gameplay out a little but otherwise great job!
@vodzik @turturi @roka-josh @mithoskuu @cloverfall @biene-maja @david-huculak Thanks for your comments and for giving the game a go! I've updated it and hopefully fixed some of the issues like the interaction problems, day/night cycle speed, pausing while chatting, player movement speed, and a warning before night falls. Unfortunately the music is still the same as my musicians are busy being musicians... but feel free to give it another go if you'd like!
I really like the disparity between how cheery and upbeat the day feels and how there's just ambience during the night, it feels eerie! I honestly adore the art style and feel it also adds to that feeling of "something is wrong" here. Though I did wish there was a bit more to do during the gameplay loop, especially when waiting out the night, the mood conveyed here is really well done. Nice work!
@brainloaf-studio Thank you for the feedback! The track was supposed to slow down and distort at night but it's not working in the build for some reason. The plan was to have different villagers appear depending on which house you chose to stay at each night, who you could talk to and get to know, but maybe in a later version! Thanks again!
I think the lack of music at night was an excellent touch (although looking at the comment above it may not be intentional; distorted music would be very cool too) and the swarm of little dots was surprisingly creepy. The art was also great, especially loved the design of the lady at the start as well as the armenian influences.
Gave it another shot post update, now that I can actually interact with it I really enjoy the differences in mood between night and day, well done
