really cool art style and concept! nicely done :)
fun game, I like the little claymation dudes
A sweet and funny little game. I like the visual style and the music is also pretty good. The difficulty was perhaps a bit too high, but this is okay for a jam game. Overall a fun and well made compo game. Well done.
Oh my god I am such a sucker for this artstyle. At first I totally forgot you were supposed to not hurt the pink guys and thought the game was just really hard. Once I realized what I was doing wrong it actually became really fun, although I wish the animation when you click on the blue dudes was punchier and more responsive. In a full version it would be cool to see something a little more complex than just clicking on things for the mouse aspect, like maybe dragging shields around to block. This could almost be a rhythm game
score: 13548
I really liked the art style - these "claymation" characters are just amazing! The little details add charm, and the gameplay is engaging and fun. The difficulty is fun, and the music really adds to the atmosphere. Great job compo! 👍
Wow, I seriously loved the Claymation style of the Assets' animations; it reminds me of ClayFighters, even some of the sound effects have a ClayFighters vibe. It took me a while – and I'm not proud to admit it – to figure out what I was supposed to do, but once I got it, I realized this thing has a really frenetic energy.
this was the best score I could get

Love the aesthetics ! And the music too, the game is very addictive ! It's pretty simple but well done than can be a mini game in a bigger project ! nnnnre.jpg
Love control scheme. The keys felt so intuitive. Really a challenge to coordinate between killing the inner baddies and the circles. I like the tone of the game. It's pretty silly.
I love the graphic style! And it's a lot of fun to play
Character art is off the charts!!!
I had fun with the game too, definitely ramps up in difficulty quickly though!
It would be cool to have some additional limited kind of 'oh shit' button that maybe clears all enemies. Could also see additional enemies that have different mechanics - maybe needing to be hit multiple times but have an additional benefit when you destroy them like blowing up other enemies.
Easier said than done (especially in jam context) but if the rest of the artwork was in the style of the character's it would look super cool.
Nice job!
Oh I feel like I've had a really good hand-eye coordination workout!
You've really nailed the UI / control scheme, I really didn't had to think too much as all about what keys to press and it all felt very natural, which I think it entirely down to how well the UI was fit for purpose.
The art is absolutely fantastic, and I think this is is the perfectly length of time and difficulty for a jam game. Thank you that was fun!

First time I played. Well before I played, I read the instructions, but I didn't spot the letters, nor understand the placement of inner circle creatures. So that run didn't go too well. But reading up, I figured out that I had only played half of the game.
I did have a bit of a problem with the keys though. It seemed like every other time it didn't register that I pressed the correct key to kill the inner circle intruder. It worked some times but others my presses were just ignored. I played on Firefox, perhaps there's something there with the timing but it made it very hard to progress very far.
I think my record was slightly above 1k.
The claymation was adorable! And I liked the effects and feedback that the game gave too. Perhaps the letters around the circle could have been a bit larger.
As for progression, I probably didn't see much of progression in the game, if there is any. The early part was quite balanced for difficulty, I think.
As for what could be made to elevate the difficulty over time, of course speed could be increased and spawn rates as well as how erratic the behavior is of the evil creature that comes floating in towards the circle. But those you probably already thought of.
One evil thing that could be done is to start rotating the inner circle so that W isn't always up...
Another could be to have those spawning in the circle jump around once or twice before having their effect.
This is such a cool and unique art style. Instantly gave it its own vibe. The game was quite self explanatory too, and including the "good guys" really added an extra element of not just button mashing.
As to your question regarding strategy: I don't know if it needs it. Having it be a reaction-based game is totally fine. As others said, maybe introduce some additional abilities or "kill everything now!!!" button to add an extra layer, but it is already a lot of fun by itself.
Really cool take on the theme, I enjoyed the keyboard and mouse combination! I think my highest score was 5000 ish. Very fun experience!
I always love claymation in games. Cool! I like that there are good guys mixed in as well so you can't just spam the keys (something I've seen overlooked in these kinds of games sometime). Using the mouse as well constantly keeps you occupied as well which is good. The music and sound gave me kind of a rythm game feel which could be one way to go for something like this.
cute game, I think the concept could be also fun in VR with hand controllers / gestures
Original art concept, it looks great!
Very cool control structure, got very hectic! Such cool art too! Felt like... Claymation.
Very nice! The artstyle is truly one of a kind, kinda weird, kinda scary, but actually kinda cool! At least I like to see something fresh and new. Same goes for the controls, that's kinda unique and strange, but works really well. Overall very well made and keep making things that are different, I genuinely believe we need more diversity in visuals and gameplay.
very very fun game, It took me a couple seconds to get into the groove but once i was in i was in and focuse, I love everything about it the claymation style was great the audio was fun (oh noooo) lol and over all just a solid good game
full of whimsy, I love it. you're site is kino as hell too
Really funny game, I like the concept. The graphics and the audio are also great.
hahaa nice game, love the sfx, good job
Nice mechanic! (The most necessary thing is to store the result of the best session)
Looks great, and it's nice "plate spinner" trying to keep my brain switching between mosue and keyboard attacks. Just wish there was a little more mechanical complexity to the choices I was making.

This was a fun little arcade style game. I loved the graphical aesthetic and the sound effects. The game got pretty hectic by the end and I got overwhelmed but I think that was probably the point. Nice work.
Oh my god this is my favorite art style I've seen in compo so far. A+++ would play again just for that. I got 5692 (it's really hard with a laptop touchpad). Once you get into a flow state it feels like a rhythm game and gets really fun.
Amazing graphics! very fund and challenging game at fist, great entry!
Nice game. My coordination is terrible so i only managed to get ~5000 but is was fun. The concept is simple but well implemented. The art is strange, in a good way :) Great entry, good job.
Funny game and character design ! It's quite hard to get familiar with controls but after a few game I get used to it and I had fun !
Innovative art and also the mechanics of coordinating mouse and keyboard. I liked this polished little game.
Awesome entry, rly polished and so arcade-y, honestly the game excels at engaging you for longer periods of time. I was at first rly confused abt where the area 4 a key would start and end, since its a circle so there was one time when I killed a bad guy. though i quickly got used to it.
A suggestion of mine would be to make the incoming cells, if not popped, to increase the rate nanobots spawn at, instead of just taking away your hp, since it'd reinforce your established core mechanic. Maybe some power=up cell that makes things in slow-mo also? All in all, rly enjoyable liked a lot.
Ah! It's like Whack-a-mole. I'm old and slow now, so I was only able to get a score of 5028. Hmmm... as for how to add a strategic element? Perhaps combos that rewarded staying in one mode until the last possible moment?
Hey, this was a fun entry! Maybe a bit too hectic but at least nobody gets bored :D The music sounded interesting but the sound effects completely drowned it out. Maybe lower the sfx next time, so we can enjoy the music as well. Like people already mentioned many times, the art is cool and I like the hand drawn text. I was thinking of combos as a good way to improve the gameplay but the last commenter already mentioned it.
Great game! I love the art style and design of all the little characters. The sound effects also fit perfectly. It is helpful that you show the controls for the circle on screen. Also it is fun that you have basically two weapons, that you control with two hands, that each does different thing to different area. Maybe if you wanted to make it a bigger game, there could be different types of weapons.
Very funny idea and premise! I like how the game plays, though I eventually get overwhelmed by the cells, and maybe I missed something with the controls, but it eventually feels impossible to kill them all. For context, I was holding down the mouse button on them until I stopped getting points/they died.
A great idea and I love the art style:D
